Prompting form

What is this fest about?

In this fest we write fics or create fanart based on sayings and idioms from all kinds of countries or languages.

How long will this fest run?

The prompting will start right now and won't stop, ever. The Posting and claiming will run from July 1st to September 30th. Some time after that we will create a master post with all the fanworks created.

How can I participate?

Sign ups start July 1st, you can either sign up, telling us some things about your writing preferences and style so we can surprise you with 3 (somewhat) randomly assigned idioms from our list, or you can use a saying you already know (if you do this you still need to fill in the sign up/claiming form). -> You do not need to write all three, if you would like to receive other prompts just fill the claiming form in again.

Once you've got your saying or idiom, you can start creating.

What are the requirements?

For fic we require 400 words minimum, for art whatever you consider a finished piece!

I'm done! Where can I post?

Great, you can post either on AO3, to our collection, or on Tumblr tagging us in your post.

What if I know a few funny sayings from my country but don't necessarily want to participate?

No worries! We're in dire need of as many sayings and idioms from all cultures. Starting now, you can leave prompts in our prompting form without having to sign up. It's all anonymous, so if you decide to sign up later on or not, no one will know.
