I just read 'All The Way Through' again and I can't put into words how much I love this fic. No matter how many times I read it, it still moves me as much as the first day. The way the relationship develops, how well written the secondary characters are (I'm in love with Duper), how wonderfully well you write... I need Ao3 to let me kudos every time I reread it ♥️ Your fics always make me feel happy, but this one in particular I need to inject it into my veins, tattoo it all over me.

Well here I am answering this like three weeks later, sorry I forgot about my inbox for a minute lol. I had an absolute bear of a time writing that story and it felt like pulling teeth the whole way but I think it turned out pretty well in the end! If I were rewriting it now I think I would tighten up that final act but at the time it felt very necessary so who am I to second-guess myself now years later. Really glad you enjoy it so much as it was a true labor of love.

I made my way through most of your SidGeno fics last year (almost all, in fact, but I’m soft-hearted so I had to skip a few of the extra-angsty/sad ending ones but every other one!) and then started on your profic, and I must say, I adore it all. I know things are busy with life and the writing hasn’t been coming as easily recently, but whenever you find the muse again I will be here with bells on! (And also rereading your works.)

(Also so glad you’ve been vindicated with the Nate sweatshirt thing, Sid is that insane and I love that for him/you/us.)

💜 I did actually manage to finish something recently so that's coming in June! Really glad you're enjoying it all as fanfic and profic are so different in many ways.

Honestly I wish I shipped Sid and Nate more than I do because they are verifiably bizarre about each other. Like who does that? Who acts like that in public? Nate's goal in life is to lock that down and tbh it seems to be working.

Fluff is great, but sometimes one has the desire to be emotionally wrung out like a dishrag... The angst fest is a fun, low-stress prompt fest for angsty Pittsburgh Penguins fic and art. There are no signups and no prompt claims: write if the spirit moves you.

There are no content restrictions on prompts, but for posting purposes, we’ll have a separate section for prompts that fall under one of the AO3 content warnings (graphic depictions of violence, major character death, rape/non-con, and underage sex).

I’ve been binge-reading your Sidgeno fics today and have found myself so enthralled by your writing that I’ve now ordered your book (Emperor’s Omega) through my local book store!

I’m in Germany, so it seems like it’ll take two or three weeks to get here, but I’m really excited for it! I will say I’m half-tempted to buy it as an ebook too, just so I don’t have to wait the fourteen to twenty-one days until I get my pick-up e-mail. :D At least my bookshop is only like fifteen minutes by foot from my flat, so whenever I get the e-mail I can go get it immediately and be reading within the hour, hopefully >:) If work doesn’t keep me from it for a few hours, that is. :’)

hello hello hello! You are one of my favorite writer, not just of hrpf but I loooove your books! I completely understand if you don’t want to answer this but I thought I’d ask. I’m having a bit of a low in my life at the moment and I’m looking for something sad to read. Ideally it would have some sort of happy ending but it’s okay if it doesn’t. It doesn’t have to be whumpy but just looking for something that really hurt. (The first time I read The Real Thing, I cried during the talk after Geno/Sidney had sex. Sid’s hurt was so clear & understandable, it hurt so good). I’ll take any recs you can offer, either fic or published or whatever. Zero pressure at all and thank you for your writing!

Oh man this is going to be a little hard for me to answer because I haven't read fic in so long! I love stories that hurt so good though so I get what you mean. For Sid/Geno a lot of the angst fest collection probably fits the bill. For published fiction I read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy and literary fiction so if you want bleak let me recommend one of my all-time favorite books, "The Greenlanders" by Jane Smiley, which is a tragedy about the slow downfall of a society and basically everyone is unhappy and/or dies. It is sooooo good.

I just wanted to say it's good to see you here. I feel like all the sidgeno writers fell off the face of the earth (including me, even if I only wrote one). I've moved on too, but still. Good to see you. Might be time for yet another "Motherland" re-read.

Lol thank you, I'm only sort of around but I do still care about Sid and Geno. Every now and then I surface to reblog a picture. I think it's natural for fandoms to go through different life cycles and most of the people who were active when I was have moved on, but there are plenty of new people who seem extremely hype.

If I had the energy I would write 30k of an AU where Geno didn't re-sign with the Penguins and he and Sid have a series of furtive encounters in road trip hotel rooms and then begin visiting each other in every spare moment, basically launching a relationship without ever talking about it. Eventually everything boils over into a dramatic confrontation about how Geno could Possibly Leave Sid Behind. There would be crying and love confessions. Has someone already written this lol, I haven't checked the tag in months.
