Take a trip down the aisle in The Sim 4 My Wedding Stories Game Pack! Make your Sim’s journey to their big day special, then plan the perfect ceremony. From the proposal to the reception, customize each aspect to celebrate every Sim’s love story in a way that truly feels unique to them. In the world of Tartosa, (almost) anything becomes romantic.
Prep to Party: Popping the question is just the beginning of your Sim’s wedding experience. Once they’ve said yes, the excitement and nerves set in—there’s so much to plan! Choose the Sim of Honor to make the journey to the altar as fun as possible. Then, bring on the engagement dinner, rehearsal, and a last single night out to remember.
Bring Your Vision to Life: Get into the details of upcoming nuptials as Sims select their wedding day attire and everything else they’ll need for the big moment: menu, decor, schedule… all of it! Tour venues designed by community creators as Sims try cakes, consider flowers, and settle on the traditions that will make their day most meaningful.
Tie the Knot: Before the main event, celebrate with family at a rehearsal dinner. When it’s finally time, feel the love and live out every fantasy. Exchange vows, rings, and kisses at the altar before the real celebration starts. Kick it off by serving tea for the family, or head right to the reception. Newlyweds and guests alike can dance with loved ones, while the new spouses cut the cake, give toasts, and receive well wishes.
Oh I'm just not sure how I feel about this one! Weddings are a base game feature, so I don't know if I approve of them being expanded on as a concept for the second-most-expensive type of pack. This sort of feels like it would have been better as a stuff pack? But I'll reserve judgement until we can actually tell how much we're getting. Maybe this is so detailed that it's worth the higher pack tier. So far here's what I'm noticing:
So the new world, Tartosa, looks like a little costal town? I'm getting Mediterranean vibes from it. It's definitely not the same vibes as Sulani so I'm happy; I was initially a bit worried that it was just going to be the same beach theme but smaller. Hopefully it isn't just a destination world which we really shouldn't have any more anyways.
I'm a bit bummed that dress shopping appears to just be window shopping like what we got with Cottage Living. Hopefully it will integrate nicely with the retail system from Get to Work so that we can have legitimate wedding dress shops too.
Are we getting a preferences update? I think the flowers might be tied to colors, but the cake could potentially mean we're getting a new food preference!
The clothing is quite pretty and seems to be nicely varied. I've seen lots of different dress and suit options, not to mention the different cultures represented too. Hopefully each age group will get a good variety.
Not seeing a lot of veils, just the one short netting one. A least one longer, more traditional veil would be nice. I also can't decide if the one shown is attached to the hair or a separate hat. Really hoping it's separate!
Different engagement rings are mentioned, but only in relation to CAS. I wonder if Sims will actually have the option to choose a different ring or if they're just adding more rings to CAS. It would be cool if it affected the chances of a rejection, like if a materialistic Sim would turn down a cheaper ring.
Boutonnieres look like they're separate from the outfits, my guess is that they'll work in a similar way to the bouquets.
Confirmed wedding parties! So far it looks like we're getting the option to choose a maid of honor, best man, flower girl, and ring bearer.
I love the addition of the wedding traditions. Walking down the aisle, throwing rice or flowers, cutting the wedding cake, tossing the bouquet, etc. And it sounds like they've also incorporated different culture's traditions too!
Slow dancing has returned!
Really curious how planning all the different events will work. So far it sounds like there's a lot of options. Engagement parties, bachelor / bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, the actual wedding, honeymoons...that's a ton of things!

Why isn't the country caretaker aspiration categorized under animal instead of nature?

Am I the only one who feels like Cottage Living is hinting strongly about supernatural Sims?
The preorder content includes a tree with a tiny door which makes me think of the fairy homes from The Sims 3, and one of the gurus wrote a poem spelling out the new town's name that mentioned fairies. The latest blog post about touring the countryside also mentions a new rare wolf eel. And that's just the stuff from the newest expansion! There's a ton of references in other packs as well.
While I don't think we're getting any new supernaturals in the pack, I do feel like they're really trying to foreshadow that the next game pack is going to be either fairies or werewolves.

So I bought Sims 4 Dream Home Decorator.
I turn up at my first clients’ house, ready to renovate one of their rooms. They apparently don’t care which. I do want something to go off, so I ask for an idea of one of my client’s likes and dislikes. She tells me she hates woodworking. Her father runs out of the house to inform me he also hates pianos. I approach her mother, begging her to tell me something they do like.
“Well,” she tells me, “What I really love… is pipe organs.”
I turn a spare bedroom into a pipe organ room. Every house needs one. I realise I forgot to take Before photos, so I snap some of the entirely unchanged landing. I invite my clients back and lead them up the stairs to it. (They insist on covering their eyes with their hands to climb the stairs, despite the door to their new Pipe Organ Room being closed.) The client who asked for the pipe organ wanders off to use a computer, rather than look at the new room, but finally they tell me they want to talk about it.
“I think I’ve seen enough. Let’s go over my thoughts.” “I’m ready to talk about the renovation.”
These are among the most ominous statements I’ve ever heard, and I’m certain they’re about to ask, “Excuse me, but why did you replace our bed with a pipe organ?” but they assure me they love it. To prove it, they shake an empty piece of air instead of my hand.
I return home, where a NAP inspector turns up to fine me for not having recycled any of the furniture in the apartment I moved into yesterday yet.
Luckily, I don’t have to worry about the increase in bills too much, as another Sim responds to my roommate advertisment. We go into her room and talk. She seems nice, so I invite her to be my roommate. She accepts, then yells at me, walks into my room to poke at my chest of drawers because she likes that decor style, and leaves  a note on my floor. As she starts using the mirror in my room, I read the note:
“Please follow the golden rule. I don’t come into your room and touch your stuff, do I? No, I don’t.”
I ask her to leave my room and stop touching my stuff.
Luckily, she soon settles down into living with me, making a white confetti cake for us as a peace offering. After we have each eaten a slice, she starts making a white confetti cake She leaves it in the oven, presumably having remembered she already has a white confetti cake. The next day, she clears it out of the oven, and makes a white confetti cake.
Meanwhile, my work continues. I get a request from the Greenburg family to renovate their walk in closet. I know the name, but can’t quite place the family, until I arrive at their house to discover it’s made up of a crane and a large shipping crate. There is no walk in closet to be seen. There is no room for a walk in closet to be seen.
I try my best, demolishing their kitchen area to fill it with closet space. I throw out their easel, because they told me they hate painting. They also hate rockclimbing, so I sadly dismiss my plans of installing a climbing wall in their closet. Knox and Blossom tell me they like the finished product, even though it wasn’t what they wanted. I am entirely unsure what they wanted. Blossom decides to flirt with me, as her wife, Mary, watches. Mary tells me she hates the renovation. This could be because I flirted with her wife but could also be, to be fair, because I demolished her kitchen and replaced it with a closet.
Getting home from my terrible day’s work, I discover my roommate has left a second note, this time in her room. Wondering what she needs to tell me, I go in to look at it. It tells me not to come into her room and touch her stuff. I have to admit, she got me with that one. Nonetheless, she makes a white confetti cake.
The next day is Talk Like A Pirate Day. After redesgning a living room to have nothing pink, blue, basic, mid-century, or to do with bowling, I try to compliment one of my clients, another elderly lady. I get my pirate speech confused, and accidentally flirt with her. Perhaps my purpose in life is to flirt with old women, the way my roommate’s purpose is to make white confetti cakes.
Moving up in the world, I get a gig to renovate the kitchen at the biggest penthouse in San Myshuno. I am unable to enter the building, or knock on any of their doors, so I have no choice but to teleport myself in. I ask a client what she’s looking for in her kitchen renovation. She tells me she hates cooking. Anything to do with cooking–ovens, fridges, microwaves, cupcake factories–she can’t stand the things. She doesn’t want them in her kitchen.
Despite being the kind of people who can afford to live in a penthouse, have a suit of armour costing $8k on display and, apparently, either order takeaway or go out to eat for every meal, they give me only a couple of thousand simoleons to work with. Luckily, I can get more by selling their hated oven, replacing it with popcorn and ice cream makers. I add a guitar. They love guitars.
The family are delighted with their new cookingless kitchen, so I leave their home to buy myself dinner from a street vendor. My clients are apparently hungry too, as, bereft of an oven, one of them heads into the garden to use the grill.
He sets the grill and himself on fire.
A few minutes later, I teleport back up as the rest of the family come out to approach the Grim Reaper, and the body of their father and husband. One of the children complains that he’s hungry. The man’s widow gives the Reaper a back rub. They go back inside.
The Grim Reaper tells me his favourite colour is blue. I head home to rest before tomorrow’s appointment with the Greenburgs. I guess they don’t want their shipping crate filled with closet space any more. My roommate makes a white confetti cake.

I'm rereading A Song of Ice and Fire because I never actually finished what is currently the last book in the series. It's such a good series but good lord every time I get to a Bran chapter I groan and put it down for a while before forcing myself through it.

Light the candles and prepare the rituals to appease your ghastly new roommates in The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack! Spectral guests cause mischief and mayhem on Haunted House Lots, but Sims can perform a séance, befriend Guidry the Ghost, become a Paranormal Investigator, and restore order.
Meet Ghastly Roommates: Your new-to-you home might be home to someone else too, if it’s one of the new Haunted House Lots! Appease the mischievous specters to relax in serenity, or let them run amok for scares day and night.
Cleanse Your Home: If you want to send your new roommates packing, Guidry the Ghost is happy to advise you. Remove accursed objects, perform a séance, commune with the dead, and receive gifts from specters! You can even summon Bonehilda the skeletal maid.
Calm the Spirits: Master the medium skill and impress Guidry to get a Paranormal Investigator license! Once you’re ready, take on some freelance gigs to expel unwelcome visitors for other Sims. With spooky activity on the rise, it’s up to your Sim to put a stop to it.
This is kind of exciting! It seems like the Sims team is continuing to listen at least a little bit and is aiming to please those who voted for Happy Haunts (now rebranded to Paranormal) in our last community vote. I think stuff and game packs are a good way to introduce wacky and supernatural aspects to the game since it isn’t a theme that everyone enjoys. I, however, am a huge fan and am happy to have both the mundane and the magical to play with! Here’s what has caught my eye so far:
New scared emotional state! We haven’t gotten one since possessed was added with Strangerville so it’s great news. And it’s confirmed to be a base game addition and can therefore hopefully be triggered by regular ghosts, vampires, storms, fires, and anything else that would typically scare a Sim.
I wonder how the haunted house lot trait will affect the haunted lot trait we already have? It’s clearly much more involved and triggers a lot more than just making ghosts appear, but will it replace the old trait for those who have the new pack or will there just be two very similar lot traits?
The 70′s clothing is actually doing it for me this time around, possibly because the Scooby Doo nostalgia is strong. I love the dress with the fringe vest and the striped pants with the scarf belt most so far!
Again, another braided hairstyle on the main Sim that is simply beautiful! I could do without the weird mullet though; the one in Snowy Escape was already one too many for me.
Chairs can float during a séance which immediately makes it more appealing to me. It would also appear that the crystal ball is separate from the table and could therefore be used with other pieces of furniture making it much more versatile.
The new little ghosts are adorable even when they’re trying to be scary!
Cowplant in a terrarium! Finally a decorative cowplant so I can have one without worrying about it eating the neighbors!
Will the new paranormal investigator freelancer career have active jobs? The trailer certainly makes it look that way, but it could just be for show. Also the Goths aren’t scared of ghosts are you kidding me?!
Bonehilda is finally back! It sounds like you have to summon her instead of buying her coffin though, meaning she might be tied to the higher levels of the new medium skill.
Still clinging to the hope that the Grim Reaper gets an update to make it possible to romance him and father children with a special trait. He was in the trailer, therefore there’s still a chance!

If we’re really getting a Happy Haunts pack of some sort next, it had better include the option to romance the Grim Reaper. Santa can father babies with special traits and all he does is bring presents. I demand the same privilege for the bringer of death!

They always were my favorite family, probably because they were the first Sims I ever played with when I picked up this franchise through the original The Sims Playstation game.
