In my feelings about soccer and missing the game but I’m on my way to the rodeo ✨

There are 18.5 school days left this year and I really just have a lot of feelings about it

#I’ve come a long way since my first opening weekend #to be fair the baseball hasn’t started yet #we don’t have tickets. it’s our first battery only experience #it’s Good people watching I tell ya #there’s TWO groups of kids playing football (amercian) #and also some football (soccer) playing kids #they’re so entertaining to me #mostly these lil soccer kids #they’re running DIRECTLY through both football (american) games #they’re Good too #I think they’re enjoying the turf. this is their pro moment #we love Atlanta #just my ramblings #Sadie does baseball

Drank an energy drink at 4:30 bc I was tired and had one more task to do at work… got hyperfixated on all the Little Things that have piled up to do but I haven’t made time for and one more thing turned into a lot of one more things…. anyways, I left at 10:45 and my classroom looks better than it has since before spring break ✨

I’m so good at saving money until it’s for my classroom or soccer/baseball things or I get a little bit sad or experience a minor inconvenience and then it’s all out the window

#these are Daily Occurrence #I dropped $150 on classroom stuff today bc I am the problem #it’s going to organize and vastly improve my life #but like. wack. #some of it is just for cuteness. which. is totally on me. but. yk. #I am soooooo a Type B teacher but I don’t thrive under those circumstances #I’m fighting for my life to be Type A #just my ramblings #teacher sadie

#yesterday irl bestie told me about the standings #which is like the table in soccer #and there’s HELLA STATS #idk what some of it is #or what it means #but ya girl loves quantitative data #so #that makes it extra fun #I MIGHT be planning an impromptu trip to Atlanta this weekend to watch in the battery 👀 #bc. it seems right #I’ve still got a little bit of The Blah that I just can’t seem to shake and I don’t think it’s anything to Worry about #but I would like it to be gone #and I think baseball is the key #at least that’s what I’m going to tell myself #until proven otherwise #just my ramblings

Minor detail I absolutely love is that after Sam and Jamie make up after the Dubai Air protest, they’re constantly next to each other or grabbing onto each other.

Other fun moments:

Jamie snapping for Sam after he talks about his favorite romcom actress.

Mid-game high fives.

How dare you interrupt my best friend’s special haircut moment.

Sam putting himself in front of Jamie so he doesn’t get hit after picking a fight with the other team.

And, of course, my favorite:

Jamie waiting for Sam so they can leave practice together.

They’re best friends, your honor.

Also, I get the sense that Jamie hasn’t really had a lot of close friends so as soon as Sam forgives him and they become friends, he gets immediately clingy. He’s like this is MY best friend I DO need to be touching him at all times or making sure he knows I love him in some way.

I have developed the Bad Habit of smiling when I see people wearing soccer gear for any of the teams I’m familiar with in the south (except for one but they don’t have fans so I’ve never encountered one of them in the wild ✨) and then they look at me like I’m crazy and I have to tell them I like their shirt… even if I really do not

#this has backfired when they try to talk to me about the team and it’s not My Team #but like I love the way the sport is growing in this part of the country #bc. it’s very much SEC culture territory #anyway #just my ramblings #the school that I teach in is rlly pretty diverse. like. more so than any of the other schools in my town #and I love that it’s a unifier for my kiddos #but anyway
