So.... remember how I said I started another legacy..... well here it is!! Its the monster high legacy by @simmingsamantha. We're starting this legacy off at the Frankie generation with our sim Frankie Munster and her girlfriend Jackie Hyde. The rules for the Frankie generation can be found here (And yes I am fudging the rules a little bit, as I do with every challenge I do. I follow them for the most part but I did fudge these two rules. 1 the colors were white and black but I added the mint green of Frankies skin. as well as a few small yellow accents from Jackie. I also didnt fully follow the adoption rule. I did allow them to engineer a baby just because its another cool way to create life and obtain a child and I thought it fit. anyway other then that the rules will be followed lmao) Anyway with all that said, lets get started!!

I’ve been really into playing the Not So Berry challenge in the Sims 4.

Basically, it’s a challenge that forces you to play the game in a way that you wouldn’t normally do.

Why is the Sims community boycotting Curseforge?

I've seen a lot of posts going around calling on Simmers to stop using Curseforge, a modding platform that enables creators to monetize their downloads, with plenty of outrage directed toward modders and CC-makers who are still on the platform. But I've also seen a lot of people who are confused about why there are calls for a boycott.

Curseforge is owned by Overwolf, a company that is donating money to the IDF in support of its ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.

In late October/early November, Overwolf posted a graphic on their social media asking followers to "defend our defenders" by contributing financially to a fundraising drive for the IDF. They were met with backlash and quickly took the graphic down, replacing it with one that used language about raising money for "those affected by the violence in Gaza" (my phrasing may be inexact) but the money is still going to the IDF and not to any agency actually supporting civilians or doing humanitarian work.

You can see the original graphic on this change.org petition, which provides some additional context.

If you are using Curseforge in any way -- by hosting your content there or downloading from it -- you are giving money to a company that is raising funds for an ongoing military campaign against a civilian population.

This is why people are calling for a boycott. If you are a modder or CC maker for the Sims, you should remove all of your content from the website and redirect people to other DL sources. If you are a consumer of mods and CC, you should stop clicking curseforge links and send (polite!) messages to modders and CC makers to urge them to pull their content from the site.

HUCKLEBERRY PIE - A SKIN BY PYXIS

Hello everyone. ♥ Since I’ve finally returned to simming, my first order of business was to revamp some skins to suit my picky self. 

I got sick of my ever-cluttered skins panel, so I smooshed together my favourite parts of all of them. Huckleberry Pie comes in default and non-default varieties, as well as an asian version because I like everything to be matchy matchy.

The skin works for both genders and all ages except baby, and toddlers and children don’t have the nose definition because I thought it looked weird on them. 

The non-default comes in the three basic EA tones plus Pooklet’s darker toned ramp, and the asian non-default comes in two ramps, a rosy one and a peachy one. All of the non-default skins will show up as hot pink dots in CAS, hopefully easy enough to pick out of a crowd.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy these and please let me know if there’s anything amiss!

The Monster High Legacy Challenge is an 8 generation legacy challenge based on Mattel’s Monster High doll collection. Each generation is based upon one of the core dolls in the collection, alongside two bonus generations based on my personal favorite dolls lol. For those familiar with Monster High, I have based much of the challenge on Generation 1 with a few nods to Generation 3. Each generation in the challenge is assigned a specific color scheme but you do not have to follow it if you don’t want to! You also do not need to make the sims look like the dolls in question. At the end of the day, this challenge is simply for fun and to play through aspects of the game I personally haven’t before. You will need most, if not all, expansion packs for this challenge. Feedback is always appreciated! Let me know your thoughts on this challenge :)
