Neil making jean use the same logic of his fucked up beliefs to make him see reason is just *chefs kiss* like YES you DO belong to the moriamas just not that one anymore. And YES you ARE a moreau but so was your sister.

he uses a heavy! these racquets are used by backliners, though strikers are allowed to use them as well if they want! i don’t think there’s limitations on what racquets dealers use, they typically use ones with deeper nets to carry the ball, but that’s to better their play, not specified as a strict rule. the only ones 100% relegated to one type of racquet are goalies!

now that I was thinking, there’s something that doesn’t make sense: how did Neil went to defense with the attack racket? I didn’t even think this was approved

there's something to be said about the way jeremy refused to believe the worst of jean because he trusted that kevin would not have sent him to usc if he was as bad as the rest of the ravens. and at the same time jean trusting jeremy as his partner because again kevin would not have sent him there if jeremy was not a good person that could look after jean. something poetic about the unwavering trust that they both have in kevin !! kevin day !! the man that you are !!

About the AO3 "No Guest Comments for a while" warning

If you're not following any of AO3's social media accounts you might be in the dark as to what kind of "spam comments" have engendered this banner at the top of the site:

These spam comments have been posted about a great deal on the AO3 subreddit for the past couple of days. Initially they comprised a bunch of guest (logged out users) bot comments that insulted authors by suggesting they were using AI and not writing their own fics. Some examples, from the subreddit:

But it then escalated to outright graphic porn images and gifs being posted in comments, again by logged out 'Guest' accounts. Obviously, I'm not going to give examples of those, but between these two bot infestations, AO3 has clearly decided to act and has temporarily closed the ability to post comments for users who are not logged in with an AO3 account.

Unfortunately, this means that genuine readers who don't have an AO3 account won't be able to leave comments on fics that they enjoy.

If you are a genuine reader who doesn't yet have an AO3 account, I strongly suggest getting yourself on the waiting list for one. More and more AO3 authors are now locking their fics down to registered users only - either due to these bot comments or concerns about AI scraping their work - which means you're probably missing out on a lot of great stuff.

Hopefully guest commenting will be enabled again at some point soon, but I suggest not waiting until then. Get yourself on that list.

Yes, Neil ordering a hit on Grayson in the middle of a restaurant was The Move™️ of all time, BUT let's not forget that it wasn't the first time Neil ensured someone's death in public.

He might not have officially ordered and paid for this one, but he sure did sick Stuart on Proust to make sure he died in the middle of a crowd at championships.

me, getting frustrated when people get mad at kevin for being a part jeans trauma because they sometimes forget that kevin was so traumatized as well.

we obviously can’t compare their trauma and experiences in the nest because we know that jean had it worse. but that doesn’t lessen kevin’s fears and trauma. he knew jean wouldn’t have left with him, but when jean says “but you didn’t have to slit my throat on the way out” (aka kevin accidentally revealing that jean taught him french) we have to remember that riko was breaking kevin’s hand and kevin was panicking and trying anything he could to get riko to stop.

my favorite part is that it’s his INSTINCT to follow the rules of others for their benefit aka their boundaries, because he grew up with a need to be strategic about every move he made

Of course Neil Josten, who understood Andrew's way of thinking and operating on promises and games quicker than anyone else, was able to wholly understand Jean's coping mechanisms to find a loophole that allowed him to live. This is the Neil who had to think fast every time he wanted truth out of Andrew because the other would never answer to or accept smalltalk. Neil knows what he's doing and he is so good at following the rules of those he cares about for their benefit
