Summary: After the ballroom assassination, some people tend to overthink, and some may question people's worth. Maybe their own or someone else's.

The stars would serve no purpose to humans if they cannot be seen, but what are humans to tell something's worth?

It was early morning, a time when no one was awake, but several other things were. Thoughts which flooded people's minds, and a massive envy for those who can sleep in peace. After the sound of the gunshot, there was no way of sleeping with no overbearing thought.

He put down his cigarette, looking off to the distance as he wondered if there was anyone asleep that night. He could hear the echoes from the hall— and it was a mix of chattering and footsteps, he couldn't tell who was who. All he knew was he wanted to be left alone to think for a while.

Of course he was the most bothered by it, it was the person who he had to protect. She was the one who almost got injured, she was also the one who pulled the trigger. Even if he told the rest that it was a mission, deep in his mind, he knew it was something more. Maybe some kind of attachment? A kind of emotion? He couldn't tell it apart anymore, he was confused whether it truly was because it was his duty, or something inside him grew.

He sighed loudly before scratching his head, an irritated look still stuck in his face. Funny enough, it was no irritation at anyone else but himself. He couldn't bare the thought of losing her— and for what? For feelings he refuses to accept? That's absolutely insulting to the man who he used to be. But he couldn't help it, could he?

Before he could go on with his monologue, he heard the door creak open. While he wanted to tell the person to piss off, he had to take a glance on who it was first. He turned around and opened his mouth, prepared to tell someone to leave him alone for the night because he was tired, and he didn't want accompany.

But instead, his mouth was left wide open because he saw the person who he couldn't stop thinking of right in front of him. Not only that, but she was still dressed in the ballroom gown, still looking as beautiful as ever. Her hair was down and her melancholy eyes were staring at his burning ones.

Her hair had a couple of black roses that matched with her entire get-up. A sleeveless long dress that had a gown that reached the floor, and black high-heels. Even if she was in danger, she looked marvelous. And now that he wasn't pressured to keep her safe, he had time to appreciate the view.

He shook his head to snap himself out of his own thoughts, and he only crossed his arms. "What are you doing here?" His voice was assertive, and there was irritation in it. No, he wasn't mad at her, but he thought about how she was supposed to be staying indoors so there was no chance of her getting hurt. The mere thought of her getting injured by being outdoors was what was irritating him. "You shouldn't be outside at this hour."

Nene shrugged, taking steps closer to the railings of the balcony. "We are in the Sakda mansion, in a balcony. This is barely outside." She replies dryly, before she place her hands on top of the railings, her eyes looking up at the sky.

Yes, he knew he was appreciating how the stars were reflected in her eyes. Yes, he was appreciating the view of her in the dress. But obviously, there was one thing that overpowered it.

"I know but I..." He froze, realizing what he was going to say but she only waited for him to continue. A few seconds passed, but he only brushed his hair back before "tch"ing and turning his head to the side. "Nevermind."

"No." She says, getting closer. "Tell me. What were you supposed to say?" She wouldn't let him go that easily. For the past few hours, he only stayed in that place and worried everyone inside the house, including her. If there was something she wanted to get from him, it would be his words of affirmation that he was okay, but it seems like she wasn't going to get that soon.

Eizan only turned away from her, refusing to look at her in the eye. Was it time to be honest? It felt cruel to leave her hanging when she was the first one— Hell, the only one who chose to go to him even if he was avoiding everyone.

"I was worried about you." He flinched for a moment when he said those words, but he chose to continue anyway, despite disliking the fact he was opening up to herm "I am worried about you. I still am." He finally admits how he felt, and before Nene could interrupt him with reassurance that she was fine, he made her hear things she would have not expected. "Holy fuck, Kinokuni— I care for you. And it fucking terrifies me when I see a chance of you getting hurt."

Nene grew more quiet than she already was, and she only took a few steps closer before tapping his shoulder. "If you want to talk to me, look at me in the eyes, Etsuya." She says his first name, not even noticing that she needed no reminder from anyone else to do so. "Look at me in the eyes and tell me— Tell me the truth, you better not be lying."

He does as she says, but there is obvious shock in his expression.

"It's the truth. Why the fuck do you think I would lie about that?" He responds, a bit harshly. For once he put his guard down and became honest, and she seems to doubt his words? "I wouldn't lie to you, Nene. Not anymore." He calls her by her first name as well, and without warning, he feels her hands wrapping around his. "... What?"

She closed her eyes, taking a few breaths before talking again. Her voice was a bit more shaky. "I know you're supposed to protect me, and I know you say you don't want me to be hurt— but don't you dare risk your own life ever again." She grips his hands tightly. "Because I don't want to lose you either, I'm terrified of losing you."

There was a silence between them and for that single moment, Eizan recalled why he always fixated her on stars, took note of why it reflected her eyes, and why he always stargaze when he felt the need to relax. Because of the fact that she was one, he could never tell her worth at a glance, at least not before. But now when she stares back at him, it felt like she meant everything to him.

What were people to tell him what her worth was? She was no trophy wife to protect, nor was she a jewel that should be hidden. She was everything, and beyond that— and only then did he know, he didn't want to lose her.

He loved her.

He fucking loved her.

And she loved him too.

She truly did.

He finally grips her hands back, his face finally changing from irritation to pure worry and sadness, yet surprise and loved. He never felt this way, not all of these emotions at once.

"I won't go that easily, nor will I die." He finally tells her this, before releasing her hand slowly, just to cup her cheeks. "I won't let anyone hurt you either, we'll get though this and no one in the fucking world can break that promise."

She calmed down, her voice going back to normal, and after getting the reassurance, she only leaned closer to his face—

And for the first time, without any outside force or comments, without any demands or tokens, they kissed.

They kissed, and the only thing they needed in that moment was each other.

A few minutes has passed, and they finally came back in together, just to spot the allied gang boss with his planner, forming a new plan for the next possible mission.

Before Eizan could call out to him, he spotted a certain figure, putting his pointer finger in front of his lips, even saying "shhh" softly. Obviously, he wanted both him and Nene to stay quiet. Were they supposed to observe the scenario in front of them? Or was it his way to see a couple commence?

"Lotus, you should go to sleep." The allied boss says, flipping through the papers she has given him. "Your plans are lovely, and so are you but... You really need to take a break."

"Aroon, I can't just take a break." She replies instantly, while she picks up a pen and scribbles notes on the whiteboard. "We were so close to failure, one wrong move could have killed us and—"

Before she can even finish, Aroon started to wrap his arms around her from behind, even kissing the top of her head. "Lotus, Flower, Love— Can you please take a break? This is from your boyfriend, not your boss." He makes a playful comment before kissing her again, only making her fluster even more.

"I can't." She places the whiteboard marker down, her voice getting lower. "As much as I want to have some time with you outside of this life we're in, I want to make sure everyone turns out okay. Maybe then, we can act like how you want us to be."

He only hums softly before ruffling her hair. "Fair, but just so you know, the moment when we go to our goal, I'm going to pretend to fall in love with you again. As if everything was normal. Like we're not in this world." He laughs, but it was a bit sad. "I really want to give you the world, but I can't do that just yet. But I promise I will."

She stood there quiet for a while, not minding his arms that wrapped around her or how he kissed her a few times by the head or the ear. "Aroon..." She says his codename and he stops kissing her.

"You're not just my planner, flower. You're the person who I want to spend the rest of my life with! Don't let papers and pens determine your life." He says, before grinning. "So what do you say, are you going to rest now and accept a cuddle while sleeping?"

"I would love that..." She finally responds and he laughs before kissing her again. "But let me at least finish this final note, okay?"

"Okay, flower- make sure to do it soon, I'm going to suffer every second without you." He kissed her ear again and she only snapped back to reality once he stopped hugging her from behind.

"Kao— I mean, Aroon! Don't sweet talk me." She huffs, her face getting redder but he only laughs before turning her around.

"Going to call me by my first name? Go ahead, I like how it rolls off your tongue, love."

Before she could reply, her face only flustered even more, and she pushed Aroon away, only to get a chuckle from him.

"You didn't need to treat me that harshly."

"It's not you, it's him." She raises her hand to point at the ginger, who only stood there alone. "Death is here."

Death jumped up, before turning around to see that Eizan and Nene already left, only leaving him to rot by the hands of Aroon, one of the strongest members there.

"Haha, I hope you had a—"

"Death, I'm counting up to three for you to leave." Aroon warns, before loading his gun. "Or you'll be my target practice for today."

It was a normal day, people believed— but no, there was something way beyond that, they just didn't realize it.

Royalty AU EtsuNe written for @polar-stars !!

     It was not a normal day for the two kingdoms that will now have an eternal alliance with one another. It wasn’t the best day for the rulers as they were both chosen to have a marriage that you could unite their nations.

   It was their first day together as a married couple, so they expected the initial awkwardness, it wasn’t just that- but a discussion about morals lead to nowhere as both of them had thought of something differently. 

   “For being the next king, you don’t have morals that will make people support you.” She finally formed her words, her eyes glaring at the individual who wore golden accessories and red cloth. 

   To her, he was a show off. He would show what he had through physical appearance, and his words would make people cower in fear. Yes, he was excellent in making people follow his orders, but he was no king. He was no leader.

   “What if they don’t support me? What will they do?” He smirked, interested in hearing her response. “The only person who will face consequences is them.”

   He was not wrong. He was the king after all. It would be hard to even think about overthrowing one, even with a mass of people. 

   She closed her eyes and sighed. “For a king, you’re inconsiderate with your people, you ruffian.” She took steps further away from him, taking a look outside of the window to see the view. “Your kingdom is wonderful, your nation is blooming. Yet the king is the opposite.”

   He decided to move closer, an interested grin still plastered on his face, as he lowered his head. “So what are you telling me to do, Kinokuni?” It was a little whisper, but she heard it completely. “You’re my queen after all.”“I’m only your queen to ensure my people would be safe from whatever you’re planning.” She retorted, giving an icy glare right after. “If it weren’t for my people, I will not be interested in doing this at all.”

   Odd. Several people would be more interested in him. He might not be the ideal king, but he was rich and powerful- and those were things some women would swoon for but she was not interested in that at all.

   “If that were true, then why did you accept so quickly?”

   That question started to run through her head. Why exactly did she accept it so quickly? Maybe it was because he was the biggest threat… So if she ended up marrying him, maybe any possible war would stop.

   “Do I need to repeat myself? It was for the best for my people. Nothing more.” She rolled her eyes, taking a few moments to stay in place. “If there is anything, I want to question why you accepted the proposal of marrying me so quickly.”

   “Oh?”

   “Especially because you know I have quite the opposite morals as you.”

   Of course she didn’t know. Would she ever know? How he eyed her from afar and that he found her way of leading fearsome yet elegant? Her strictness was marvelous, and she gained her people’s trust completely. She was smart, yes, and he could only keep that to himself.

   “I only got quite interested in you, Kinokuni.”

   That’s what he answered. It was accurate, but it wasn’t anything detailed. Her glare got more intense, but her steps continued once again. “I don’t believe you.” She replied. “I’ll see what your true intention is, Eizan.”

   Once she left, he only stood there, a little smirk on his face. Until now, he admitted, the interest never died down.

She usually keeps her romantic feelings private and not say it out loud, so she prefers showed platonic affection. She would end a relationship only if the other person leaves her first without warning. By that, she won’t even try anymore. The history behind it is her father leaving when she was rather young out of nowhere and never went back. She wouldn’t take someone back because she would remember the damage that was done to her.

🧡 Who is your OC’s favourite person? Why is this person the top of their list and have they actually met them (an idol or rolemodel or celeb can be someone’s favourite after all!). People might be surprised over this, but her favorite person would actually be Dai. The reason for this isn’t only because they are cooking partners but because Dai was her first friend in Totsuki and actually gave an effort to try and get close to her.

⭐ What is your OC afraid of? Any crippling phobias or some such? How do they act when scared and what helps them calm down? Does anyone ever find your OC scary? Why? At most, she’s probably only afraid of being left alone... and technology. She acts okay with the second one though, she’s just afraid she might break it, that’s all. With the first one, she tends to keep it in and she calms down eventually. A lot of people do find her scary because of the vibe she gives off.

🌳  Compare your OC to themself from 10 years ago. How has their mental state changed since then, how have they aged and grown up? Would they say they’re in a better place than they were back then or do they need help? What advice would they give their younger self? What advice would their younger self give to them now? She used to be a happy kid, but that’s because her family was still complete and the incident didn’t happen yet. She got more mature and careful with people as the years passed by. She believes she is in a better place [the dorm might be crazy, but she likes it... most of the time]. She would tell her younger self to try and be more careful with her choices, while her younger self would tell her to try and be less cold.

What kinds of things do people expect from them in a relationship? He doesn’t expect too much from both? In platonic ones, he just expects consistency and trust. On romantic ones, he expects same interest in one another. He doesn’t try to expect too much. He’s... a door mat most of the time. He’s rarely demanding unless it’s needed, but he also barely asks for anything in the first place. People expect him to be “sweet and soft”-er than to his friends and they expect to be more attentive to his lover. [They’re right]

🔥 Give us a list of general likes and dislikes, such as colours, textures, music, weather and other stuff! He likes ice skating, he likes snow, he likes winter- and all that! He likes blues, whites and greys, and he also loves the feeling of cotton clothes or silky ones! He loves classical music, but also romantic ones! He loves the rain! He dislikes... not a lot of things, honestly. But he does hate it when the weather is too hot and he actually doesn’t like squid ink as food. And also oily foods in general, he isn’t too much of a fan [he’d still eat it though].

😊  What can make your OC smile even when they’re feeling down? What cheers them up and makes everything feel better for them? Is your OC genrally a happy person and do they enjoy making others smile? What about your OC makes others happy? He’s easy to please! Just talk to him out of it or communicate with him. He’d smile even a bit. Conversations and gifts always cheers him up and makes him feel better, even just a show of concern. He is a happy person and enjoys people smile! Also his charm and his sweetness is what makes other people happy!

🍐 What is your OC’s mentality? Are they overall positive? Negative? A bit of both? Describe their thought patterns and reasoning behind their choice making! He is usually a positive thinker but he also thinks the worst in situations, so I’d say a bit of both. He just thinks about the pros and cons in his decision and starts weighing them, but also sees what is the best for everyone, not only himself.

🌀 Where is your OC from? Where were they born? Do they still live there, if not why did they move? If they still live in the area how has it changed since their childhood? How many places has your OC lived in and where has been their favourite? He lives in Japan but he actually, but he also goes to America because... that’s where some of his relatives live. So he lives in two places, but prefers Japan!! Nothing changed honestly, it’s all the same!

He tends to not laugh too much, but it’s like a heartlighted chuckle! He is GREAT at singing as someone who came from the theater club of Kaoru. He can have an English accent if it slips up, but it rarely does!

She is really affectionate to her friends! She constantly hugs Hang and holds the other dorm member’s hands. She even sometimes kisses Lyron and jokingly calls Ethan her boyfriend just for laughs and to see Ethan fluster. She’s pretty sweet with her family too, such a giving them kises on the cheeks! She... doesn’t have a romantic partner. She’s more physical because she thinks it’s easier to do, mostly!!

What kind of stuff do they just find fun? Cooking. Of course cooking. But she also likes talking about fashion and also gambling... don’t ask why. [she loves gambling with her dorm mates because of Dai gdfhghfdg]. She also talk about animals for a good 6 hours, specifically canines.

It is hard to shock, confuse, lie and manipulate her. BUT she can do all of those to other people easily. She definitely feels comfort in the feeling of trust! Also yes, if you are her friend, she can be trusted.

🍏 Does your OC have any triggers? What is the history behind these triggers and are they related to any disorders or mental illnesses? In what ways does your OC react to being triggered? She doesn’t have any triggers, so there’s no history. She has no mental illness either so I actually don’t have an answer to this! :0

Do they have any mementos of their childhood they’ve kept such as a stuffed toy or tiny baby clothes? The earliest memory she has is when she jumped in a pool when she was... 2? And almost drowned because of how hyper she is. She remembers her first words were “Papa” though. She doesn’t remember her first steps. She does have one memento, but it’s a stuffed toy in her room! It’s a purple penguin!

What are everyone's future careers maybe? :0 Since I don't think I ever heard it in completion. Also for faves, going by generation: Lina, Hang, Yuliya and ahdhd honestly picking a fave from the 91st Gen is sorta hard because they're all iconic in their own right to me but idk, Dai makes me laugh so much so I guess Ill pick him.

Oooooo future careers!! A lot of them actually have joint restaurants because that’s how close they got together hfhgfgh but I’ll show the list!!

Henrique and Lina

Henrique actually took a business major once he graduated from Totsuki! Lina on the other hand started up her restaurant already in Japan! They had a long distance relationship for a while before Henrique came back and built... a restaurant literally besides Lina’s. They’re sort of teaming up in a sense because meals for his restaurant, and the sweets from hers!

Mi and Tatsuya

They made a restaurant together! However, their rivalry is still on in the kitchen. They always have a competition ongoing, whether it be the most served food or who can make a new menu better. Sometimes even the people in the restaurant can hear the banter and it... doesn’t upset them They’re interested on what they are talking about. [They acted married for some years before actually getting married]

Christelle Morin

She successfully built her own restaurant when she went back to France! She has a total of three restaurants. Two in France and one in Japan [in the request of Dai]. She actually also took college in an elite cooking school in France! [She went to Totsuki because in the France school, they were only offering it in college, not high school]. 

Dai Adachi

After he graduated from high school, he actually majored in education! Once he finished college, he decided to apply to be a teacher of Totsuki and he was accepted! He was one of the best people in his generation, and he was praised for his jump in skill once he came back. [He also wanted to see the children of his ships, but that’s just a bonus].

Kaoru Atitarn

He got to open the restaurant of his mother again, but after hearing the story of what happened to his family by Dao, he also opened his father’s restaurant as well. He’s currently managing and cooking for two restaurants, but they open alternately [so he does travel a lot]. He decided to go straight to cooking after he graduated from Totsuki instead of college.

Masae Milas

Before successfully getting the diner of her family because she still has to beat her father in a cook off, she spent some months in Greece itself so she can learn more about her specialty. However, she came back to Japan to learn more things about it too. After about 3 years after graduation [and studying about food in those 3 years], she became the lead chef of her family diner.

Everlyn Shea

She is the one who has the most branches for her restaurant. She has 5 restaurants in total. Three in Britain, and the two others in America. She’s one of the more busy ones and she’s keeping up with her family’s reputation of chefs! She decided to minor in Psychology and Business, but major in Culinary Arts.

Sung Yong-Chol

Despite what his family claims [and being a big disappointment to them], he still decided to become a chef. However, he also did follow what his family wanted. He doesn’t actually prioritize his restaurant, but he focuses on his acting career more. However, he does open his restaurant every Weekends! He has a famous restaurant in Korea which people can get in only through reservation.

Shizuya and Yuliya

Unsurprisingly, they have a joint restaurant together! They are also one of the first people in their generation to get married! They have a family restaurant in Ukraine and Shizuya is the lead chef and Yuliya is the sous chef but also the business head. Shizuya took a major in culinary arts and Yuliya took a major in business management!

The Whole 93rd Generation of this Dorm

They actually have a joint restaurant. No joke. These 4 are extremely close to each other and they didn’t mind the idea that Miray brought in! They’re their own family now. Ethan was the one who hesitated the most but he agreed at the end thinking his younger brother really deserved to be the chef of the family restaurant instead and he realized how... he wanted This more than the family restaurant. The other’s didn’t even hesitate in agreeing to this! 

Hang and Ethan took a culinary major! Meanwhile Miray took a Business Major and Lyron took a Chemistry Major!

We know plenty about the 91st OCs and their relationships to the rest of the gang, but what about the 90th OCs? What are their relationship to their classmates :0c

OOOOOO I LOVE THIS QUESTION !! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS !! I should update the information about this because I feel like I said something before but Now I’m actually updated with everything Shokugeki- these will be more accurate !!

Henrique Gonzales

He is actually not too close to any of his classmates because he focuses on the dorm more than anything else [the dorm is his family]. However, he does have a pretty good relationship with all of them!

From all of them, he’s actually closest to Eishi! He’s actually pretty worried about him because of the anxiety he gets outside of cooking. Henrique also sometimes offers him a helping hand when it comes to paperwork [which Eishi disagrees to but thanks him for]. 

He actually has a positive relationship with Eishi but it gets sort of different once Central happens, but this is only because of how he didn’t think Central was fitting for what Eishi was striving for.

He does end up talking to Rindou a lot because he enjoys talking to her but it gets too wild with her sometimes. They have an okay relationship, and sometimes Rindou makes him a test taster [Unlike Somei and Eizan, he would never run away from chocolate lizards].

Lina Schmid

She talks to people way more than Henrique, but because of her specialty and what she truly is passionate for, she’s closest to Momo! They both love sweets a lot too, and they actually chat occasionally and they both like cute things!!

She also sometimes makes cute things for Momo, such as little stuffed toys or even a couple of sweets! She has an overall positive relationship with Momo, and she agrees with her in a lot of things. [Even the Central thing? Yeah, she sort of agreed with it].

She may have a positive relationship with all of them, but she’s only particularly close to her! She does love talking with everyone though, but she finds it harder to talk to Megishima because he doesn’t talk too much, and also she can’t find a topic to talk about, but when they talk, they actually like each other’s presence!

Mi Tanaka

From everyone in the whole dorm, she is definitely the one closest to her classmates among the 90th generation. She’s the chatterbox that can talk about anything to anyone and she doesn’t mind if she annoys them. She literally enjoys annoying her closest friends, who is Tatsuya.

The person she is closest to is Rindou! This is mostly because they have the same vibe and they’re like the same flock of people, you know? She’s also down to try new things with Rindou and even discover new things for ingredients and she doesn’t mind how rare it might be. [She would gladly eat insects]. 

She’s also been a friend of her ever since middle school, but they only got closer in highschool. She always takes note about how happier she looked once she and Eishi became friends and she finds it really sweet.

Besides that, she is close to Eishi [occasionally teases him about Rindou] more than the rest! But she definitely loves talking to them regardless!

Tatsuya Sato

Friends who?

Okay, no. He prefers his dorm more than anything, but he hates being too close to too much people so he tries to keep his social circle simple. Especially because he gets annoyed easily. However, this makes it easier to find who he prefers talking to.

He’s actually close to Somei and he actually likes the fact he specializes in sushi. Tatsuya focuses on two completely different things from sushi which is streetfood and frying, which sushi isn’t and doesn’t really need. Because of this, they like talking different cooking techniques!

Also he’s also comfortable in Megishima’s presence! He would actually talk about the same things with Megishima, but their presence is good with each other so they can be completely silent and still bond somehow,
