I'm so cynical about that two-headed calf.

it's 2 weeks old and still can't stand. yesterday's update was "here is a video of her holding her head up", with a claim that it is growing in strength - but in the video, it very much looks like the heads are being propped up by a bag of woodchips.

calves should be standing within 2 hours of birth. by the third day, they should be mobile enough that they're hard to catch. by adulthood, they weigh over a thousand pounds.

there's also a religious angle to this. many of the farm's posts have been intensely christian, the farm has described the calf as 'a miracle from God', and nearly all the comments are people offering prayers. meaning.....they might not be making the most objective decisions regarding this animal's welfare.

I'm in a livestock Facebook group and two-headed calves aren't as rare as you'd think. mostly, they're born dead, or die shortly after birth. this isn't a deformity that is compatible with life, and I just can't see any outcome where this calf starts thriving.

The only question people should be answering is how a Supreme creator can exist — even if He is outside of Time. How does He exist is the only question. The other stuff is fluff until that's given.

Me and the boys frustrated at the growing use of the term 'demiurge' where the platonic meaning of a supreme creator vs the gnostic christian meaning of a fallible intermediary creator is obsfucated and the distinction would be substantiative for the meaning of the sentence.

I think they’re the Josh and Donna WestWing of our generation and that means that while they are destined for each other it will not be until they are absolutely and completely ready that it happens. Neither Eddie nor Buck are even close to ready. Eddie still has mountains of Catholic guilt to sift through, he has to learn that his relationships shouldn’t just be about replacing Shannon/finding a Mother for Chris, and Buck still needs to learn how to be in a relationship where both partners value and respect each other as equals, like Tim said, he only just got off the hamster wheel of bad relationships and he needs a second to get his footing. Buddie is a true slow burn and we have to accept that instead of declaring that it’s so Joever every time they look at someone else.
