#it's complicated #legal deadname is longer but technically i still use the same nickname i've used my entire life so really it's the same length #except the name i want to legally change it to is longer than the nickname but shorter than my deadname #but then ideally i would also prefer to be called an even shorter version of the nickname #so it's complicated #shorter i guess if we're just going by legal name
