This is the first squad of Bloated Worm Plague Marines I painted. They were originally going to be members of The Cleaved, but at the time I was reading the first Soul Drinkers novel and was inspired by the idea of an ocean world style warband. I experimented with making the tentacles and flesh on my champion shiny, but it covered up the highlights too much. This was also my first time taking photos indoors, I think I'll go back outside next time.
I'm hoping to make more Warhammer posts about my minis in the future. If anyone reading them wants to know about what techniques I've used or even just about the boys in the Bloated Worm, feel free to message me.
A Foul Blightspawn from my Death Guard warband, The Bloated Worm. Looking back I wish I'd put more effort into his energy coil and to this day he needs basing, but all in all I'm really happy with him. It helps that he's absolutely nutty on the tabletop.
What if we parried and countered each other’s attacks whilst fighting atop a ruined tower at the climax of our personal arcs into the high hours of the night (and we’re both possessed of begrudging but genuine respect for each other as narrative foils and rivals 😳😳😳)
sometimes someone isn’t “toxic,” they’re just “abrasive.” or “mutagenic” or “highly flammable,” and you should always check their material safety data sheet to be sure
