I imagine it's for employees who can't code, but still need to know what the AI is doing? So they can type in "explain to me what you're doing, in layman's terms," and it brings up the Layman's Terms Summary that the programmers attached to each given piece of programming? But for some reason they didn't just turn that feature Off on the customer-facing side? And based on how often AIs seem to do this, maybe it can't be turned off?

The current state of pop girlies is so funny like
Ariana Grande: getting dragged for homewrecking with the guy who played SpongeBob in the SpongeBob musical
Taylor Swift: dropping her worst album in years about how deeply obsessed she is with Matty Healy
Billie Eilish, for some reason:

this website is cuckoo bananas. for years i’ve been watching trans girls post “hey, have you considered that even though trans guys are obviously treated worse than cis guys, the limited male privilege that they do have access to means that they are taken more seriously, treated less dangerously & just respected more than trans women in most if not all circumstances” and everybody’s been going nuts like, calling us separatists, calling us “divisive” for even pointing out men in the trans community can be misogynistic etc.
and then today, i saw a pretty mild post from a trans guy saying “passing as a man is so weird. other men are treating me with more respect than they treat my girl friends in public now. i used to have to argue & cite 100 sources for anybody to listen to me, and now all i have a beard all i have do is say ‘hey maybe women should be treated better’ and everybody listens to me immediately”
….and then i go into the notes and there’s a bunch of transandrophobia bloggers saying “wow, you really opened my eyes… i never saw it this way before…” like am i going crazy??? am i the only one who sees the incredible irony here? maybe you guys… here’s a thought… should listen to women also?

Like yeah you could wring some thematic resonance out of the biblical thing (he destroyed jerusalem; the neb was probably made to destroy zero one during the first war; the ironies of its shifting context, etc). But I'm proposing:
it's named that first and foremost because nebuchadnezzar sounds cool. And the place they first heard it and decided it sounded cool was the charlie brown christmas special (1965)
charlie's line is about how something we take for granted could be far more ancient than we realize. and the neb is far more ancient than they realize
My twin pet theories "nomi sense8 is named after nomi showgirls" and "nebuchadnezzar is a biblical allusion second, and a charlie brown christmas special reference first"

There's footage of a cop pointing a weapon directly at the protesters. People on the ground are estimating "hundreds" or "400-500" cops on campus. At least 50 arrests have been made. The students barely got the tents set up this morning
christ. all the campus protest crackdowns have been insane, but it's hitting my alma mater now, and it's especially surreal to see a twitter video of 50 cops lined up on campus, and another video of them dragging students away, and look around at the scenery and go. Oh I've been there. I walked through there every day

extremely weird to think about the fact that the internet is a collection of physical objects, like, if i send a message to a person on another continent, there's a continuous physical path that each packet followed between each of our routers and it probably passes through an undersea cable which doesn't feel like something that should be real how did people manage that

Mohammed is an engineer and founded the Gazan 3D printing company, Tashkeel3D. His contributions to the medical sector in Gaza have saved so many lives in light of Israel not allowing medical parts and equipment to enter Gaza during the years of blockade.
And right now he is under fire in the north of Gaza while his family is in the south. He needs help saving his life and the lives of his family as he is raising funds to get his family across the Rafah border.

Guy in this podcast, to the other host of the podcast: Please explain to me why you think Matrix Reloaded is good. Please sell me on this movie. I've wanted to like this movie since I was 14. Even now, as I think you're making some compelling points, I still can't quite see it, and it's sad and frustrating because I so want someone to explain The Matrix 2 to me in a way that would make me like it
Me, from across the continent and 8 years in the future: [rhythmically bonking my head against the pane of glass that seperates me from the Podcast Realm]
