ok so this isn't really selfshippy but can i just say that i love xingqiu with my whole heart /p?? he is so "sworn sibling"/"twin" coded for me. he was one of my first four stars and was part of the team that i refused to switch out/change all the way til i reached inazuma (where i was violently humbled by the raiden shogun and got kokomi to carry me through the whole thing lol). he's one of the ogs of my acc (alongside kaeya, beidou, and aether) so he is very precious to me

i gave him his own room in my teapot (and one of his fave sets too!) and sometimes, when i have nothing to do or i want to read smth on my phone but dont want to close the game, i pull him up on the character screen and just chill there with him while he does his idles and i do whatever. i like to imagine that whenever i do end up reading a little longer than i thought, hes peeking over my shoulder and trying to see if whatever im reading is something he can use to tease me or something we can read together while he sits beside me.

i dont have any siblings close to me in age, but if in some universe i did get lucky enough to get a twin, id want them to be like xingqiu. i love that guhua geek. i will put carrots in his bowl during family dinners so i can barter with him (ill take his carrots but he also has to give me either more slices of meat or take my fish fillets). i will go with him to qingce village so i can dig through his warehouse of novels for something to read, and write all of my thoughts and comments on a separate sheet of paper for him to read too, when he wants. i think hed make fun of the annotations i put into my own personal collection of books, because theyre almost never actually anything of substance and read more like wattpad comments lmao but i think hed like reading them bc it gives him a better insight to how i think and why i act the way i act (and i think hed also start to look forward to finishing chapters of the books ive annotated bc most of the time, theres usually a separate sheet of paper that ive stuck into it detailing my more coherent thoughts and analyses of things i found interesting in the chapter). id love to go adventuring with him and chongyun (and xiangling too, when shes able to leave their restaurant!) and get into heated, but playful arguments about whether or not his actions still fall under chivalry or "unwanted meddling" haha

ok sorry for the long ask, i just have a lot of Emotions about he so tl;dr my bro xingqiu, i very much admire and love him, even when hes being a brat and an annoying brother

a platonic/familial f/o! i consider that selfship too, just not the romantic kind! and i think it's perfectly normal!! just as valid and fun as the romantic ones <3

that is utterly, earth-shatteringly adorable omg??? i don't think i can even add to this bc your dynamic is already so adorable and wholesome wahhhh you even gave him a room in your teapot... i'm sure he's overjoyed to have a special home where he can read in peace and 'escape' to every now and then hehe

twins and siblings huh... i am. thinking. if it comes to a character in genshin, honestly... i might get along with diluc as a sibling??? he is literally my brother irl that i'm closest to (minus the whole batman thing ofc) lmaoooo but... the whole stoic and aloof demeanor, the stubborn unwavering belief he has in his values, likes to do things his own way to a fault, the whole 'it's not like i don't like you; i just never express it and prefer to protect & watch you from afar in my own way' schtick.... omg their personalities are so similar it's almost scary help-

1: favorite player not on a team i follow

hmmm this one is tough cuz when i really love a player i end up sorta following the team and want them to win so my guy can be happy. i guess i will go with cole hamels of all people cuz im still into him but i pay very little attention to the al in general so i never actually watch his starts unless its in the postseason (which as u can imagine is lots of fun lmao). on second thought i think alex cobb also counts for this since i saw him pitch in person and rly enjoyed that experience but dont keep an eye on the rays at all

2: least favorite player/s on my main team/s

tony watson: like seriously can we pls trade him now??? hes just so...bland and his poor closer performance has made me even more impatient with him. like dude hes a LEFT HANDED PITCHER and i dont care for him, that shows how much of a problem this is

gerrit cole: unpopular opinion but hes like...the Poor Man’s Ace??? like i dont expect the pirates to ACTUALLY have a real ace because of their circumstances and because theyre the pirates but it really annoys me when ppl call him an ace. hes not a bad pitcher technically and i wont deny that his stats are good (how can i lmao) but hes inconsistent and the way he often works himself up gets on my nerves because it doesnt actually benefit his performance at all

3: team i want to hate/used to hate but don't (or: team I'm reluctantly rooting for)

i used to think i hated the cards but it was a sort of halfhearted “ew, theyre the enemies” kinda thing so now that the cubs have totally taken over that category the cards are just like...these dudes in the bg with grichuk and yadi and michael wacha. now if we get into a team im reluctantly rooting for, thats the giants for sure. theyve gone down quite a bit in my rankings over the past two years and i was so annoyed that they beat the mets in the wc last season but eh derek law is precious, im in love with matt moore and then theres mark so i cant root against them, not with my fellas around!!!

the dodgers for sure. i know a lot of ppl see them as just this collection of rly expensive players but their camaraderie has made me rly enjoy watching them (and dave helps as well). i mean heck just today there was the kenley and justin press conference and kenley kept emphasizing that for him resigning wasnt about the money...how can u not love that

well im petty about virtually all the players that the majority latches onto as being attractive or whatever. so harper, posey, kiermaier, daniel norris, u name the guy and im probably out there being petty about him. but when it comes to pettiest? bryant by far. like dude just because hes a good baseball player doesnt mean i have to think his eyes are Dreamy

10: favorite widely-used nickname

man its difficult to remember that most of the nicknames i use are not widely used lmao. im over here like “sexy!” and then i realize that clayton kershaw is not referred to as “sexy” by most people. i love how dave is called “doc” just because of his initials but i mean hes not a player anymore so i probably shouldnt include him......well i do enjoy noah being called thor so ill go with that!!

13: player i'm most excited about

tossup between aaron nola and daniel mengden. mainly im excited to see what both of em can do now that theyre coming back from meh seasons. im a lil more scared about nola since theres always the chance he’ll end up even more hurt and have to sit the season out, but i cant help being excited about him because i love watching him pitch so much. then theres danny who...well honestly he was kind of terrible but i think it was a terrible that can be easily remedied by some prudent adjustments so i have high hopes for his season
