EREMIYA ( EREMIAH ) AHAVA, has arrived at Garreg Mach Monastery!

#MOTHERUIN ━━━ private roleplay blog for Eremiya of Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem ( FE12 ); interpreted & loved by Elix ( 8TEEN / any prns ); affiliated with the Officers Academy as a faculty member.

NOTES ON PORTRAYAL.

with Eremiya being written after the canon events of New Mystery of the Emblem, the likelihood of spoilers appearing in her posts is highly possible. of course, I will tag all of the appropriate posts accordingly. the official tag for any spoilers will be # fe12 spoilers to avoid them.

hired at Garreg Mach Monastery as a counselor ( for the youth and seeking / troubled families ) and a dutiful church attendant, Eremiya arrives in Fodlan for a reason unknown to herself. though her heart yearns for salvation in the light of the archbishop; she is a monster that has not been declawed; the voice of Gharnef demands a second chance from his puppeteer. in the conquest of what? that, she does not know.

though the curse of corruption has been lifted from her mind, Eremiya is not a better person and, likely, will not be for a long time. the duration of Gharnef's hold on her has left a heavy impact on her physically, mentally, and emotionally. she does not understand the weight of her past actions, and after being alienated from the people she once loved, will not know how to fit herself within a community. her words are venomous and there is no denying the disdain she holds for everyone around her. let it be known that the development I have planned for Eremiya is based on time and will only be seen IC gradually.

likewise, Eremiya is a villain that will not be redeemed on this blog. I do not like how her character was handled in NMotE and, in the hopes of writing her properly, will not shine a light on the crimes she's committed despite the misfortune that was her backstory. I do not believe that Eremiya is a good person and would rather forgo any discussions on her "actually deserving more sympathy" or "needing to be treated more kindly". ( re; you being hurt in the past does not mean you can hurt people later and not face repercussions. does not matter if you were brainwashed or corrupted. ) this will be elaborated on in future meta and headcanon posts.

more minor than the previous bullets but I have written Eremiya as being dark-skinned. my actual edits of her FEH art will be posted or linked once they're done but, until then, feel free to ask me for the specific tone / shade her skin is. whether for descriptions, art, or just general knowledge, I do not mind! just remember to not reference her skin being pale or fair or light and we're good!

thank you lots for these! ♡ very fun to think about and answer! all under the cut because it's a doozy. i am not a concise person, what can i say :'D

when did you first start writing?

in the roleplaying context, ten years ago ( half of which i took a hiatus for aslfkjsdl )! core memory, no joke, i can still very keenly remember weird details of the day it all started. as a hobby, this started way back before i even hit secondary school! i was not an objectively good writer, but no tween really is. i had lots of fun and all the cringefail phases i've gone through since have helped me get to where i am now in my writing development — i can at least say i'm happy with where i'm at with that! and i'm still having fun! ♡

in what language did you start writing?

online? english....my beloathed. very ironic, i know aslkfjdsl

if your mother tongue is not the language you write now, what caused you to switch languages?

quite honestly for the engagement! then simply because i feel i got better at writing in english than i could in vietnamese — my education for both differed, especially in my adolescent years, and i've practiced literacy in this context more for english than i have for viet.

i am still very insecure about my grasp of english in online spaces though ( my writing process involves a lot of me searching up even the simplest words to ensure their meaning and that they will convey what i want you to feel, i still forget words or mix phrases up — sorry to my dm buddies when this happens btw — and my editing is so time-consuming because i have to often cut things or rephrase them to avoid being redundant ), which is why i have that it's my second language disclaimer alfjslfk

what was the first muse that you’ve written?

my first ever muse was my lovely queen zelda from twilight princess! she saw me through a lot of my roleplaying firsts, honestly. she still holds such a special place in my heart because of all the experiences writing her allowed me to make, as well as all the wonderful people i befriended through her that i still haven't forgotten about to this day!

( i always find myself missing one in particular when the mood hits, because we were years-long mains during what felt like the peak of the zelda rpc prime and she was as close to an exclusive affiliate i'd ever get. i hope you've been doing super well out there, my liege!! if we ever somehow get to writing again, y'all will just not be ready for my unhinged status over her link, and my zelda, and the midzelink we've crafted entire worlds over, and that is a promise aflkjdsj )

do you still write your first muse?

unfortunately, no! i have dipped in and out with her before, but i don't know if i'll ever return to her now when i've got so many others wrangling for my time and energy...i think i would like to if i got the opportunity to regularly write with twilight princess muses again :) zelda was a more character-contained muse, in that i studied less of the world-lore around her and more of her, her dynamics, and her relationships, so activity would be very slow and pretty contingent on level of interest from others aslkfdjf

what caused you to start writing? what was your key point?

okay. don't laugh at me please. i'm pretty sure this is a connecting point for a few of us. but for fanfic purposes, of course asflkjds i started reading fics before i started writing any, and only began doing so because there was such a dearth of the stories that catered specifically to my niche whims and wants that past ray was like "FINE. i'll do it myself"

now, fr, you gotta promise to not laugh at me. the want for a more interactive experience didn't really hit until i discovered tumblr ask blogs, wherein i wanted to have a try at running one myself! then that evolved into more writing than art...then i just leaned into roleplaying wholeheartedly asflkjdf everybody say thank you to artists for inspiring artists!

have you ever written a canon muse that you first thought of ‘meh’ when they appeared in their canon show/movie/book?

not that i can think of, no! i don't tend to pick up muses i don't feel super invested in. if it's meh in the more oh this character SUCKS sense, then i guess. rauru? like i love that funky fellow, or at least huge parts of him that i'll steal from nintendo because man what the fuck were they doing with him, but he seems to be my most polarising muse in terms of audience reception aflksjdla this isn't a dig at anyone for that btw!!

how far do you go with divergencies when it comes to your canon muse?

as far as it'll take for me to be satisfied with them! this ofc differs with every muse, but i try to keep general characterisations unchanged — or at least the parts of them that stand out to me and feel crucial to who my muses are.

e.g. i ignored the entirety of the hidden world when it came to writing toothless from httyd, because its depiction of his behaviour ( and hence, implicated thoughts ) was so extremely Bad Tier, i was flabbergasted that it came from the same writer as httyd2. there was, imo, such a huge gap between the toothless of httyd2 and the toothless of the hidden world in terms of characterisation and character development ( ESPECIALLY with what it did to his bond with hiccup. i'm still infuriated about that ) that i had an entire rewrite where things might've ended the same way, but it would've taken a different road for berk to get there in the works.

that's when canon has disappointed me to the extreme, though aflkdslj i have misgivings about totk, yes, but i doubt you'll be seeing unprompted >2.5k words essays from me regarding my birdies or even rauru ( if only because nintendo didn't give us enough about him to make me feel like they fucked up beyond words ) anytime soon.

with rauru, anyway, it's more of a..."i am construing him differently; you couldn't make him palatable despite clearly wanting to do so, so i'm making him 'palatable' ( in the HE AND HIS FAULTS ARE SO INTERESTING I WANT TO EXPLORE THEM IN A WAY THAT DOESN'T HAVE ME GAGGING sense ); also i think you make him way too important without actually committing to the bit, so i'm gonna give him so many complexes about it" case.

Sometimes you spontaneously get inspired to make an OC for crossover shit, and sometimes that crossover is Fallout + Sonic, and sometimes you absolutely fall in love with your new brainchild. It happens.

Darla is a Glowing One (a type of ghoul) and a warm, motherly person... who also happens to be a skilled hunter & survivalist. She's about 125 years old, though she first became a ghoul when she was in her mid to late 30s.

She emits radiation so she tends to travel alone, and prefers nonverbal communication as her vocal chords are damaged. When she does speak, it's a very raspy, strained whisper.

Her two huge claws and the glowing spines on her tail deal heavy radiation damage, though her normal claws are retractable. She uses a shotgun and a hunting knife when she can't rely on her natural weapons! She wants to feel young and pretty so she wears cute and feminine clothing when she can find it!

Before she became heavily irradiated, she used to act as a surrogate mother for any orphaned children she came across, as she had been a mother once herself before she turned.

She spends her days caring for her new family, the ones she fought with to protect humanity. Each year on the anniversary of their family’s deaths, Tanjiro and Nezuko visit their graves to update them all on how things have changed and to pray for continued peace. Little is known about the type of demon she is, but her size manipulation allows her to fit comfortably in the small container. With few memories from her past, she travels with her brother, focused more on being strong enough to protect him rather than regaining her life skills. She chooses to wear a bamboo bit gag over her mouth in order to prevent her from consuming human blood by accident, or possibly harming someone with her large fangs in battle. During this time, she is still learning to use her Blood Demon Art Technique, but it has been shown to do be lethal to other Demons. ________________________________________________________________ | | SPOILERS AHEAD!! SKIP OVER THIS VERSE SUMMARY IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE MANGA | | D a y b r e a k e r : V e r s e 0 3 After sacrificing herself to save the innocents at the swordsmith village, Nezuko has shown the ability to resist sunlight, meaning she can now freely roam in the daytime without being burned to death. Her strength as a Demon seems to have increased significantly as well. This has been shown in her transformations as well. Nezuko had sprouted a horn and gained a leaf pattern in her recent battles. Her advancement even gives her the ability to speak. She has stopped wearing the bamboo over her mouth now that she is re-learning how to articulate and communicate verbally with others. Unfortunately, these miracles have come with a hefty price. Kibutsuji is now aware of her immunity to the sun and seeks to use the remaining members of the Twelve Upper Moons (Twelve Kizuki) to claim her and absorb her, thus gaining her power. The race between Muzan’s mission and Tamayo’s cure is anyone’s guess, but the Demon Slayers will soon be forced into Hashira training in preparation.| | SPOILERS END | | ________________________________________________________________ B r e a d - c h a n : V e r s e 0 4 Kimetsu Academy:(This verse is heavily headcanon based.)Kamado Nezuko is in her final year of junior high and thinks she’s all grown up since turning 14. That might have something to do with how her older brother, Tanjirou still treats her like a kid. Nezuko is infamous for constantly gnawing on a loaf of French bread, but she doesn’t like to talk about why. The truth is, the Kamado household is filled with kids and as the eldest sister, she stays up late to make sure her younger siblings have lunch and finish their homework, as well as helping in the bakery. Naturally, by the time she’s slept through her fourth alarm, forget about toast. If she doesn’t hurry out the door, she’ll be late! Tanjirou throws a loaf of bread in her mouth and packs a couple more loaves just in case. By the time she finishes her breakfast, it’s almost time for lunch. She’s known to be a slow eater. That’s why it seems like she’s always got bread in her mouth. Nezuko is one of the top students in her class, so though eating isn’t permitted in class, the teachers let it slide. Though Zenitsu is on the morals / disciplinary committee, he has never once scolded her for breaking the rules. She assumes it’s because he’s so close with her brother and made a similar exception for him. Her best friend is Makomo. The two love shopping for new accessories for their hair together, but it’s mostly window shopping as owning a bread shop is a modest living. Especially since their father passed away. She likes Karaoke bars, bubble tea, sweet bread, confetti candy, mochi and ice cream. Anything that’s sweet, she enjoys and that’s caused her cavities at least once. She wants to inherit the family business, so she joined the cooking club. Everyone looks forward to any holiday or event where they get to try her cooking and baking. Many of the students in school have agreed that one day, Nezuko will make a wonderful wife and her store will be extremely popular. A lot of kids from Kimetsu Academy come to the bakery while Nezuko is working and helping out her mother. She’s very popular with the regular customers due to her calm, yet cheerful personality. All in all, Nezuko is well liked, not exactly a socialite, but she has no known enemies. ________________________________________________________________ I t ’ s a l l f o r m y b r o t h e r : V e r s e 0 5 This is just a role reversal AU where Tanjirou is turned into a Demon and Nezuko takes up the responsibility of becoming a member of the Demon Slayer Corps on the way to finding a cure. She is trained by Sakonji Urokodaki and learns to use the Breath of Water and Total Concentration Breathing under him. Having passed the Final Selection and obtaining her Nichirin Sword, Nezuko heads off to slay Demons with her older brother in a box on her back. In this verse, Nezuko in not simply taking her brother’s place. Unlike him, she does not possess the mark on her forehead, which is a very important detail. Her views on killing Demons are also quite different. Rather than believing that she should kill them because they have done something unforgivable like Tanjiro, Nezuko wishes that she could keep them alive somehow, only to make them live with what they’ve done and repent. She feels that letting them die is the easy way out. Unfortunately, she knows that her ideals are a stretch and doesn’t hesitate when beheading a Demon.

Furthermore, she has mastered Water Breathing due to her agile, petite body, unlike her sibling in the canon universe.

________________________________________________________________ J o i n i n g t h e c a u s e : V e r s e 0 6 In this universe, Nezuko stays with Tamayo, much to both siblings' dismay. Fortunately, it results in her being cured with a prototype antidote for Demonism Tamayo developed using Nezuko's blood. Unfortunately, since Nezuko's blood is now little more than a human's, Tamayo needs the blood of an Upper Moon to replicate her winning formula and ensure that it's potent enough to cure even Demons nearly completely saturated with Kibutsuji's blood. In the meantime, Nezuko wants to help her brother and fellow sufferers of the Demon war, but isn't sure how. Tamayo sends off a message to the Ubuyashiki family via crow and the Master calls upon Shinobu to take Nezuko under her wing and teach her first aid.This task will really fall on Aoi, the Kakushi and Kanao, but it's all the same. The Kakushi are typically people who have failed Final Selection or were injured and can no longer fight Demons, but Nezuko would be a special case, which is why she'll be gifted with skilled mentors. Her affinity for sewing already made her a decently worthy candidate, but the Corps needs to be sure she can handle the many tasks and obligations of this position. Nezuko tries to wear the visor, but often forgets to while in a rush thanks to falling asleep during downtime. Her identity as a former Demon is kept secret to anyone Tanjiro hadn't told prior to her surprise arrival at the Butterfly Estate so that the Demons don't catch word of a working antidote.
