“ Hmm ? Who to be the next head if it came down to it ? Any of them could if necessity dictated it as such. “

[ABOUT: Phinks] “ Phinks would be capable as a leader. Although he has made errors from personality, such is human nature. I have made them as well. He holds the spider’s value’s deep and true, and he already leads certain missions when the spider breaks apart into smaller groups. I would be fine with him being the leader. He has the people he needs to help guide the group.“

[ABOUT: Franklin] “ Franklin has the capabilities to be a good leader. He often remains more neutral than the others and can assess situations without acting impulsively. He is also tolerant and able to work with some of the more volatile members. However, he doesn’t often take the lead, so it may not be the best fit. But he could do so if he chose to.“

[ABOUT: Feitan] “ Much like Phinks, Feitan has served as the leader before and shows strong capabilities for it and the deep dedication to the values of the Spider a leader should have. I would also approve of his leading. Although, conversation would not be his strong suit. Luckily there are more talkative members who could handle it.”

[ABOUT: Pakunoda] “ . . . I do not think Pakunoda would enjoy such a position. She would do so if necessity allotted to her or if ordered, but I think she wouldn’t enjoy it. That said, I do think she is capable, but may need the support of others more than some would. “

[ABOUT: Shalnark] “ Shalnark would be good as a leader. He is able to correctly assess most situations and the capability of people both in missions and in general. I would be comfortable with him as the head in such an event. He may be the best suited in such an event due to the information and intelligence aspect. “

[ABOUT: Kortopi] “ Kortopi? That’s an unusual suggestion. Although he is a valued member, I do not believe that he would make for a good leader. Nor do I think he would enjoy such a position. “

[ABOUT: Uvogin] “ His position is best as one of the lead fighters, not as a leader. He can be too reckless and focus on himself over the group. It has its pros, but also its cons. I would not desire him leading the spider. “

[ABOUT: Machi] “ Machi would make for a good interim boss, but I am not certain about a permanent position as the head. I trust her hunches a great deal, and she is wise enough to listen to her own hunches most of the time. I trust her judgement that she would know whether to stay as the head or decide to vote someone else.”

[ABOUT: Nobunaga] “ Much like Uvogin, his position is best as the group’s fighter. They are a team best paired together. That being said....I do think Nobunaga could handle the position if he chose. At least temporarily, but I do think he could do so long term. Pakunoda often chose to turn to him before anyone else other than myself.”

[ABOUT: Bonolenov] “ I do not think he would do well in such a position. Like Kortopi, I believer they are best suited to their roles in the group. Being the leader is not a responsibility either would want, nor do I think it is best suited for his skill. He has not been placed in any situation that tests his leadership however, so this may be reevaluated in the future. “

[ABOUT: Shizuku] “ I also do not think Shizuku would not make for a good leader. Her perceptiveness is at times sharper and faster than anyone else’s, and she does hold true to the spider rules with an unshaking faith. But the lapses in memory could be very dangerous for the head to possess. She is, however, a very important member nonetheless. “

[ABOUT: Hisoka] “ No.”

[ABOUT: Kalluto] “ I wonder how he enjoys being part of the Troupe? Some may have doubts. He is not yet ready. But if he stays, I do think he has potential to be a good leader if such a path is what he chooses. A next generation of the spider, perhaps? “

[ABOUT: Illumi] “ Such an occurrence would never come to pass. We are all aware of this fact, aren’t we? He is no spider. But he makes for a good business partner.“

ALSO can i talk about how GOOD of a choice the spider is symbolically ? And I don’t mean as in ‘ oh what spiders represent ‘ because thats , well that’s obvious.

But the Spider is a great symbol for the Troupe ( and Chrollo ) specifically because on how they operate. There’s different kinds of spiders. There’s spiders that weave webs and set traps , like Chrollo’s entire web spun SPECIFICALLY for Hisoka at the Heaven Arena battle , or stealing Neon’s powers. There’s spiders that run down their prey like the Troupe massacring the mafia community. There’s spiders that ambush their prey , like when some of the group went to rescue Uvogin and ambushed those in the room. There’s spiders that lure , like Chrollo leaving the blood trail to draw the assassins hunting him into the room where he used Indoor Fish on them.

There’s so many different types of spiders and methods the spiders use that it�� shows just how versatile the Troupe is both at an individual level as well as how the group will operate as a whole. One day they might be ambush spiders , the next they might be hunting spiders. It’s just SO GOOD and a point i have yet to see people talk about.
