He was tired. Tired of the cold shoulder. Tired of the way you avoid him every time he is near you. He couldn't take it anymore. He needed answers. Lucky for him, you were trapped at the same stupid party his agent forced him to go to. His large, muscular body easily blocks the doorway, trapping you in the room with him.

"Move Dynamite. I'm not in the mood." You say softly, glancing around to avoid causing a scene. His arms cross over his broad chest.

"No. I don't think I will. Not until you tell me what is making you avoid me." His voice is stern, eyes locking on yours. You never felt smaller than when he stood over you like this.

"No one ever stays... So why would I bother putting myself out there? I reach out, but no one is there to take my hand. So I've given up. I'm not letting anyone else in again." You say simply, still trying to push by him. A large, scarred hand is thrusted towards you and you step back, scared of an explosion. The bang never comes and your eyes open tentatively.

"I'm reaching out to you. Give me the chance to prove to you I will stay." He says gruffly. "What? Don't leave me hanging. Take my hand." He says after a few moments when you don't react.

You reach up slowly, a trembling hand taking hold of his. "Don't screw me over. If I let you in, you better mean it when you say you aren't like the others. I will never forgive you." You lock eyes with him, gripping his hand a tighter.

"I wouldn't dream of leaving you. Just give me the damned chance to prove it to you." His usually angry face relaxes into the faintest of a smile.
