THERESA MAY
“what criticism has Theresa may face this week?”
“She’s a submarine’
“yes why is she a submarine”
“that was a nickname they gave her; a very unkind nickname because she sort of has a tendency to disappear under the water when difficult issues come up”

Comms person: "People liked the dancing and hate that you're a f***ing robot. Remember that."
May walks out doing robot dance *
Comms person buries head in hands. *
Tweet from Andrew Livingstone Oct 3, 2018
In a week when May has received some tough messages from the EU over Brexit, her dancing at least seemed to win over one EU dignitary, as the Swedish ambassador to the UK offered her a bravo for her efforts.
Observers on social media noted that May’s moves were a little robotic, which may not have been the intended impression.

Theresa May announced her resignation date in a live statement outside of Downing Street. According to various news headlines, she was ‘emotional’ and ‘broke down in tears’ during her speech, where she declared her intention to resign on the 7th of June. Watching the announcement for yourself, you might be slightly confused. Her voice cracks, sure. Her expression turns painful, definitely. But breaks down in tears? That, she does not.
Almost every single paper this morning has splashed their front page with a picture of May, her face screwed up in emotion, with a headline referring to the tearful nature of her speech.

DONALD TRUMP
Angry Creamsicle, Comrade Cheetolino, Mango Mussolini, Agent Orange – these are just a few of the nicknames that Donald Trump has picked up along his presidential road. Trump may ethnically identify as “white”, but his skin is categorically and scathingly portrayed as orange.
It’s not surprising, then, that Trump believes altering his natural skin colour will improve his appearance and, hence, sense of self. The belief in a “healthy tan” has existed since the early 20th century, and continues to drive tourism just as it drives the tanning bed and fake tan industries.

Busts Rhymes calling Trump "President Agent Orange" on live television at the Grammys is the most Hip-Hop thing I've seen in years.

Watching the clown show that has been President Trump’s foreign policy lately, you wonder whether there’s any coherent logic embedded in his erratic, internally conflicting statements about Iran, North Korea and other issues. And of course, there is:
It’s the politics, stupid.
Trump is already in full campaign mode. In his quest for reelection, he doesn’t want to be seen to fail in anything. He wants to sound tough (popular) so long as it doesn’t get him into a war (unpopular).

“I have more stuff out of my shower drain that would be a better president than Donald trump, and would look better”
“Look at him, if a heart attack was a person it’d be Donald trump”

NIGEL FARAGE
Nigel Farage had milkshake thrown at him during a campaign walkabout.
The Brexit Party leader had just given a short speech in Newcastle as part of a tour of the country ahead of the European elections.
A man was dragged away by a police community support officer and later seen in handcuffs.
Paul Crowther, 32, from Throckley, Newcastle, said it was a £5.25 Five Guys banana and salted caramel milkshake.
"The bile and the racism he spouts out in this country is far more damaging than a bit of milkshake to his front.”
BBC News article uploaded on 20 May 2019
Nigel Farage has been mocked by Twitter users after he shared a letter which he claimed was from a 10-year-old boy.
The Brexit Party leader posted a picture of the "amazing letter" from a "fellow leaver" called Matthew, who was writing to "express his gratitude" to Mr Farage and his party.
The handwritten letter reads: "Without you the leave voters would have nobody to represent their opinions as the majority of MPs in Parliament want to ignore democracy and overturn the referendum result.
"At my school they try and brainwash us to be Pro-EU but me and my friend Jim (fellow leaver) know their tricks."
Many have criticised the post and suggested the letter is fake, pointing to the complexity of its language and quality of its handwriting as evidence.

BORIS JOHNSON
"You will not f*** with my children's future.
“You will not destroy the freedoms my grandfather fought two world wars to defend.
"F*** off you over-promoted rubber bath toy. Britain is revolted by you and you little gang of masturbatory prefects.”
Tweet posted by Hugh grant
Ruth Davidson, the former Scottish Conservative leader, has said she does not know whether or not Boris Johnson really believes in Brexit. She said: “I don’t know what’s in [Johnson’s] heart. I don’t know whether he desperately believes in Brexit or he doesn’t believe in Brexit and I’m not going to pretend that I do. But I think people can tell if politicians are basically telling the truth or not and if they can tell if they mean what they say.
Article posted to the guardian on 17 September 2019
Mr Trump wrote at 12.29pm British time: "Congratulations to Boris Johnson on becoming the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He will be great!"
And later on at a rally he added: "A really good man is going to be the PM of the UK now. Boris Johnson. He’s good and he’s tough...
"They call him Britain's Trump.
"That's what they need. He'll get it done. Boris is good."
He also used the rally to lavish praise on his pal Nigel Farage too, saying the two of them are "going to do some tremendous things" and they would work well together.
