If there was any doubt about how careless and useless ISU is, the proof is the competition in Colorado Springs.
I've watched all the major international competitions of this season. Most of the athletes who participated at 4CC, I've seen in other competitions as well.
Lots of athletes lost power, speed and were obviously far more tired at the end of their programs at 4CC compared to their previous competitions.
Everyone knows that Colorado Springs is high up (1600m), most of the athletes train close to the sea level, no where close to 1000m altitude. Colorado Springs is an unusual spot for figure skating because athletes who are not training at altitude are going to get exhausted faster and are at a higher risk of injury.
Going past this, the number of athletes that simply looked beyond exhausted or downright collapsed on the ice breathing heavily is concerning. Oxygen masks and tanks should've been a requirement, not carelessly dismissed or forgotten.
Boyang is freshly out on the ice after injury, collapsed on the ice (possibly combination of factors: past injury and not enough oxygen), Riku and Ryuichi both went down after their FS and it was obvious they were struggling extremely hard to breath, Shaidorov lost so much power during the StSq, towards the end of this program (I've seen him in other competitions, he is capable of more speed). These are just a few examples I've specifically paid attention to.
I know Yuzu has nothing to do with this competition, but I remind you: before he announced him turning pro, people were speculating on whether he'd go to 4CC and if he did... altitude + lots of effort + asthma = disaster.
Yes, luckily there aren't athletes at this 4CC that have serious health issues (at least not that we know of). But imagine had Yuzu participated and there wouldn't have been an oxygen mask. (He's a special case, because most likely he would've brought one with himself, not relying on ISU).
There were skaters who needed oxygen masks and there weren't any. How is this allowed? It's basic safety measure.
P.S. Commentator Chris kept bringing up the altitude and how it's way harder and unusual to skate in these conditions. ISU is aware, they just didn't take precautions.

Kao Miura of Japan leads the Men’s event after the short program at Four Continents. Keegan Messing of Canada and Jimmy Ma of the US are currently in second and third, respectively, but are in a near-tie and are separated by only .06 points.

Haein Lee became the second South Korean woman - and the first since 2009 - to win Four Continents. Overnight leader Yelim Kim made it 1-2 for South Korea, winning the silver. Mone Chiba of Japan came up from seventh to win the bronze.
Isabeau Levito, who was second after the short, withdrew due to illness.
