Myrtel deserves to be rambled about
Tumblr media
It seems to me like Myrtel being human is something everyone in his family knows but doesn't talk about. Like it's obvious but "forbidden" to bring up too openly. Looking over the Chapter 140 page when Tioreh mentioned mullein pills...I think she didn't mean for Nasiens to realize the truth. All she said was humans need to take them regularly as long as they're in the Fairy Realm. She didn't mention her oldest brother at all--not once in this entire chapter, even.
And when Nasiens figures it out...she looks so sad. It reminds me of the look King and Diane gave Nasiens a couple chapters ago.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ik there's a lot to unpack in those looks, but in one part of it, they all must be worried about Myrtel. He's a part of their family, but as long as he lives in the Fairy Realm, his health may turn even worse. I'm sure none of them want to tell him he should move to Liones or somewhere else in the Human Realm for his own wellbeing, either, because what would mean saying you don't belong here. No matter how they could put it, that's how it'll feel.
I'm worried for him too. I really hope the Camelot guy who showed up at the end won't convince him of anything...but that's probably what's going to happen. They're probably gonna be the one who say you don't belong there and dig even deeper. And that cloaked mf has a chaos staff. Chances are that's going to be used...
Myrtel knows his parents loves him. He genuinely cares about the fairies and giants in the Fairy Realm. His sword-fighting skills may very well be self-taught, and he chose to learn them so he can fight for his people. But he knows he's not like any of them.
Also, remember when he warned his parents about trusting humans?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's the one who brought up humans as a problem. Something to distrust and avoid. I wonder what that says about how he views himself. To him, is he an exception to most humans or destined to be treated exactly like them by his own adoptive siblings and parents?
I want him to stop fearing getting replaced. I want him to be happy. He deserves it. Please give King and Diane's totally-changeling son a happy ending Nakaba 馃檹

I FOUND NASIENS (He was in Wales) (This is a 4kota post.)
Frankly, nothing will ever be as haunting to me as the fact that I could not decipher what Nasiens, Chion, Jade, and Donny's names are references to. (Spoilers if you just watch the anime)
Jade doesn't matter too much, he's dead now anyway (RIP DUDE I MISS YOU SO MUCH). He could be a reference to the green Knight. Although I have my own thoughts and opinions about the green knight in relation to the world, I think he could've been a reference to that, and other than that he was a minor character. Chion... Is it a dog reference? Are we calling him an angry little dog? Is that what's happening????? Donny I had nothing. Same With Nasiens. Nasiens was the most annoying to me however because IT SOUNDS WEIRD. IT'S NOT A NORMAL BRITAIN NAME. So here's my theory! My solution if you will! Surprisingly, unsurprisingly, the answer lied in welsh mythology!
Basically every character in this series is a mythological reference. And I despise the idea that any of them aren't. Good news, I found donny! This character has a significant detail that makes him a good match but the bad news is um.
Tumblr media
It should be noted Gofannon is different but also the g name is suspicious to me, as is the significance of "Uncle. This is also where I like to put myself in the mind of the author where I know how japanese names work, but I still get mixed up all the time, so I can totally see him thinking of Don as the first name, or wanting don to be the first name. Next Chion.
Tumblr media
I kind of see it. For context he also has a comparison between him and tristan on his page. I'm still kind of leaning towards him being a yapping little chiwahua.
NEXT! Nasiens! Or!!!
Tumblr media
I think with Myrtel this really sells it with how people have been discussing him being Myrtel's changeling match. It's perfect! This one is the most satisfying honestly as it's been haunting me since I started reading.

Do you have any headcanons for Lancelot and Sixtus? I have a feeling that they get along really well.
Not many headcanons for them actually. I doubt King & Diane visit Ban with their kids that often, considering they had 7 of them and an 8th growing up in Echo Gorge, so here's a linear list following that path:
Before Lancelot and Jericho disappeared, Ban visited the Fairy Realm with Lancelot and Elaine every one to few years. He always found some new way to tease a complaint about the realm's sickly sweet air to Harlequin. The Fairy King is always offended. Even as kings, these two bicker like cats and dogs.
When it was just Myrtel and Sixtus, Lancelot liked Myrtel more. Sixtus was so quiet all the time, and Lancelot liked playfighting more bc of his human half.
Since there was a new Kiane kid or few every visit the first few times, Lancelot thought fairy kids multiply asexually over time and called them "Myrtle 2", "Myrtel 5", etc.
During Lancelot's last visit before disappearing, Sixtus got pissed over those names. Lancelot had to learn where fairy/giant babies come from that day.
He was told he needed to have a heart-to-heart talk with Sixtus to fix things...and Lance took that literally.
They had their talk entirely through heart reading and Lancelot gets Sixtus after it.
If you ask why they're "making faces at each other", they'll both say they're "having a heart-to-heart". Yes they keep talking to each other like that ever since.
One day King tried joining in for the fun and the looks they gave him made him never want to try again. He doesn't even listen when they do that anymore, not even in the story's present day.

How do you think the mertyl vs nasiens fignt is gonna turn out in the latest chapter 143
It'll probably start with a display of Tioreh gasping with shock before Nasiens steps in. Myrtel will get sent into a rage at the sight of him, then--after a talk about his condition--Nasiens and Tioreh will fight him defensively while trying/failing to talk some sense into him. I can see the chapter ending with King landing into the scene right before he reveals some serious info, or with Myrtel dropping the truth bomb on Nasiens through his despaired state.

Sorry can't help it just love sending asks to you!馃尯馃挒馃挆(really sorry if ot bothers you it will be the last time than)
I think if mertyl were to die than that will add spice to the drama..馃き馃槸 in which way to do you mertyl will die if that were to happen could play out scenario in your head what would be said? Who would kill him? What would mertyls last words? Aftermath?
Ask 2: After Percival wakes up? What would be the percy platoon reactions(anne, nasiens ,donny, lancelot ) is there anything you think will change about percy after he wakes up.?
DON'T HELP IT! <3 I'm loving getting asks no matter what they're about! I just can't answer them as soon as I'd like sometimes because I have a full-time job, but still--the more asks the merrier :)
Firstly, Mertyl's death would definitely intensify a lot of problems in the story, but since it wouldn't build as much suspense as Mertyl joining Camelot, I'm confident that his death isn't coming anytime soon. If we'll ever see him die at any point, it would be during a grander fight directly against Camelot. As for who would be the one to kill him...I'd say the biggest suspects are Nasiens or King, but neither would be alone in fighting him that day. It'd more likely be King in that case, and he could wind up fossilizing him and having one last conversation with him about everything.
Secondly, hm... It's obvious that the whole Percival Platoon will at least be crying rivers while staring in awe at him, or something generally along those lines. I'm not sure if there'd be much variation between them aside from touches of personality though, but I do believe Nasiens's reaction would have the most focus put on it.
I'm not sure how Percival will change, but one way that he could change lies in his 2 years spent among the other life spirits. He may act more like a natural force, like them, and have to relearn his soul over time. He may recover himself immediately and simply have a thorough understanding of his power as one of them. He could be somewhere in between as well, kind of like how Meliodas was when we first saw him come back to life. It's surprisingly easy to spot general similarities between SDS and 4KOTA like that sometimes, though the details surrounding them are always different.
(DISCLAIMER: I say that's easy while struggling to think of examples past Nasiens getting stuff thrown at him by fairies in Echo Gorge. It's a gut-based notion today and I'm not thinking to analyze that right now lol)

Hmmmm has anybody ever thought...what if Mertyl deside to leave the fairy rome after this mess?馃憖 how would his siblings and diane react? And especially king reaction?
I actually first thought Mertyl was going to side with Camelot and move in there after fighting everyone, as that would make for a lot of tension in the series. I don't think that will happen anymore, but if it did...naturally, everyone in his family would feel deeply hurt. It would be heartbreaking for all of them, but they'd all still want to save Mertyl from the enemy.
King would be especially hurt by that result. He'd feel angry at himself and humans and Arthur. Perhaps more than anything else, he'd hate himself for being so useless for his son. He can't follow Mertyl into Camelot because he isn't human, so he'd have to rely on others to save Mertyl from his father's own mistake. Diane would share that sense of helplessness; however, she'd be more willing to accept help from her kids or Liones. She'd be the one who comforts King into accepting it too.

Your predictions are so true their is a huge chance that this could happen!
But if mertyl dies? How would his famliy react? If mertyl had a illines too would that had made a difference? What kind illnees would he have than?馃憖
They would all be so fucking devastated. The family would get really rough for a while as everyone processes their loss differently. Diane may try to comfort everyone while sobbing. Sixtus at least would be very pissed at King, I think, and I doubt King would do anything to try defending himself because he'd be very pissed at himself too. He could even change his mind about revenge being a bad thing for one day before being told to pull himself together by someone else. He'll feel awful even if Myrtel is saved and stays with them...
If Myrtel had an illness this whole time on top of being gradually poisoned by the Fairy Realm, I'm sure it would have been cured in some way by now. His parents would try using the Drug of Yore or call Elizabeth for her healing power, then they'd realize his asthma can only be treated with mullein pills as long as he's there. It's even possible that his asthma is permanent as soon as it starts or King and Diane didn't realize the Fairy Realm isn't safe for humans until it started. If Myrtel has/had an illness on top of all of this, I can't guess what it might be.
Writing this out made me realize another possibility for what might happen at the end of this arc. I haven't thought it all through yet...but since Guinevere's vision and Ban recently visiting Liones happened, King and Diane might leave with Nasiens to Liones once this current battle is over. They could trust their kids to protect the Fairy Realm in that moment of urgency, especially if Kilbeggan does get the Drug of Yore. That would be a big deal.

I have a question this may hard too answer.
If mertyl still stays mad at king after this mess is over like I mean his attitude to king. How do you think he act? Some thoughts/headcanons 馃憖馃挱
Will Mertyl be mad at King once he's saved from Kilbeggan's influence? The simple answer would be "no", but none of this is simple.
Once he's saved by his family, I think he'll be confused. In some mix of anxiety and shock, he'll ask them why they didn't kill him when he was an obvious threat to them all, and they'll tell him something like, "Because you're family. Why else?" It'll be a heartwarming moment...but King won't be there for it. He's off fighting the guy who played a major part in making their problems into what it became.
When everything's done and King returns to the whole family, Mertyl will want an explanation from his father more than anything--and I'm sure everyone will get one then. Mertyl will likely be pained by it, but he still loves his parents. At most, he may end up frustrated with or disappointed in them, though he also might understand their struggle and forgive them. I think the latter won't happen just yet, though. He'll have to sort his pain out from everything first.

Imagine sixtus seeing this馃ゴ馃槼馃槼 what would his reaction be??
You got some headcanons on this topic?馃馃ゴ馃馃槼馃馃馃槼馃槼
There's definitely a reason behind it. I can only make guesses about it at the moment, and that would only lead to making assumptions about a person I know nearly nothing about...so I'm not going to wonder about it much for now.
Moving on to your link, I don't think Sixtus would have any notable reaction to that. If anything, he'd tell Myrtle that he can ask their dad to sew a pocket into his shirt for him, but it's possible that Myrtel already has a pocket sewn into the inner side of his shirt.
I was about to say I have no hcs about that but then I realized I just made one! I believe in the inside pocket :>

Overanalyzing 4KOTA Chapter 142 instead of just waiting for more info (2/2)
Part 1
This is the part where I talk about King and no one else. Also, this is more ramble than analysis by the end, and I'm making myself not worry about length this time, so...you have been warned :) As for Mertyl, I'll definitely talk about him again over the next chapter, though I might not say as much as I did the first time.
Firstly, look at this face. Remember all those seasons ago, when everything was peaceful for like a single week? How sweet and thoughtful this little guy was, especially against his own personal wishes?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is King--regardless of how he's like on the outside.
Elaine herself described him as someone who tries to act tough but is really a crybaby. He's someone who can't seem to stop wearing his heart on his sleeve. He always tries to hide his feelings to keep everyone else from worrying, but try as he might, anyone will see through his "tough act" if they're around him for long enough. Awakened or not, he's not King if he's not a highly emotional character like that. He's just a lot better at putting a cover over those feelings now. He's grown up for real.
If you read these last few 4KOTA chapters without remembering the original Seven Deadly Sins story, it only makes sense to look at him more like an ass of a father right now. There's a lot to his perspective that we just haven't gotten to witness yet, and one of the easiest conclusions to make from all of that unknown space is "King loves Nasiens more than the adopted son he raised." For crying out loud, he's giving an immensely scarce cure-all to a young man who introduced himself as a human without an explanation for why Myrtel hasn't received it yet. We don't even know for sure if he's tried using the Drug of Yore to treat Myrtel's condition in the past right now.
There's just one problem about that conclusion: King isn't like that at all. It only looks like he is because this family drama is fatally poisoned with tension and misunderstandings at this point. It's starting to explode.
Remember how way back in the series, King first thought Diane without her memories of him would be better off without him at all?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think that's a lot similar to what he's thinking with Nasiens right now. If King didn't play a part in their present happiness, then what right does he have to want their love? He'd label that as too greedy or selfish in a way that he can't allow himself to be. He thinks he knows his place, and that place is somewhere forever distanced from his first-born kid.
But he can't just do nothing for Nasiens. Maybe just one totally subtle yet significant expression of love can slide, right? What could he, seemingly as nothing more than a ruler, possibly give to Nasiens to make him happy? Maybe if he gives Nasiens just one perfect gift, Harlequin will feel like he was good for his son at least once. He'll feel like he's finally atoned for losing Nasiens for too long and failing him as a father, and then he can let that "sin" go. Surely, Nasiens wouldn't be happy knowing the truth anyway. He'll be better off never learning about his true relations, since he's built his life without it already. Assuming that "logic" is what King's going through, a lot of his actions make sense to me.
And yet he still almost slipped up and spilled the beans.
Tumblr media
Nice save, King, but if you gave Nasiens more time to think he would have realized what you really meant. Tioreh gave him time to realize she believed he's a fairy and his initial freeze then was the exact same.
Tumblr media
None of this is easy for King. It isn't easy for any of them. In some ways, those past 2 years must have felt like forever to him. Precious time to have his first-born kid around that he'll never get back. And after 2 years of keeping distance...
"Sorry, I couldn't help but follow you."
"I just wanted to help you out, in any way I could."
King can't keep his distance anymore. His true feelings are starting to break free.
"Hee hee... Don't be shy, now. I just want to be of assistance."
Sure, King. Saying it like that totally doesn't make it sound like there's more to this, even with your confident/amused chuckle.
Of all the gifts he could give Nasiens, I'm sure King believed this was the one thing Nasiens couldn't refuse to accept from him. A powerful healing drug that he advertised as one-of-a-kind and a once-in-a-millennium opportunity. With it presented not only as that, but also as something that might bring Percival back, how could Nasiens reject such a gift? Right?
...And then Nasiens rejects the gift. Immediately, King gets so nervous that he breaks character.
Tumblr media
He immediately started sweating too. King prepared everything up to this moment, and he has no excuse as Nasiens questions him and calls him out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Nasiens is right to call him out because of how this looks.
Nasiens, just like us, doesn't yet know what the truth here is. He's right to be suspicious and King needs to realize that plans in how the changeling duo is handled need to change right now. Ready or not--telling the truth is the only way to save what's actively starting to cave in.
But the sad thing is...I have a feeling that it's too late already.
Tumblr media
Things are only going to get worse from here... I don't know how, and in a way that makes this feel more awful.
Sixtus should tell King that Mertyl saw him offer the Drug of Yore to Nasiens. There's no doubt in my mind that King will realize the problem once he has that information and try to do whatever he can to make things right. PLEASE don't make him too late again. At least give him a chance to talk to Mertyl before things fall apart if that's where all of this is headed.

Overanalyzing 4KOTA Chapter 142 instead of just waiting for more info (1/2?)
Honestly? I'm writing King's side of this separately, because it's about time I started talking about him here l and I know I can go on forever about him. That field of over-analysis needs its own house. I would go off about him first but then I'd forget his kids entirely and I don't want to do that to them... Speaking of--
Tumblr media
So silly. So precious. Berte is so Helbram-coded and I'm sure that's intentional resemblance.
You know...I wonder which of their traits were inherited from Diane's parents. Probably the golden hair on almost half of them at least. Sixtus and Tioreh's pink hair looks more like a genetic mutation...unless their hair color is inherited from the leaf color of the Sacred Tree? That's possible too.
Tumblr media
Diane seems less energetic since becoming a mother. She's settled down and has been shown to be gentle more often than bubbly, which was the impression she gave me in the original series. I'm assuming she hasn't fought since entering the Fairy Realm, too. She's put the stress of the Holy War behind her, and I'm happy that she seems content with her lots of babies. I wonder if she'll get to hear about Dolores once the current issues are over. I'm sure hearing she's Nasiens's adoptive big sister will be a shock. Diane deserves to know that.
Tumblr media
The way Tioreh says this makes me suspect Puck is the one behind Nasiens and Myrtel's switcheroo. He must really love that "prank" in that case. Regardless of who was behind it, though, that's actually fucked up. A fairy trolled their own king by swapping their first child with a human, probably knowing exactly what issues both kids would be put in. I can't call this just a prank. I love King to death, but his people are their own kind of awful...
Tumblr media
For this moment, let's glance back at how she reacted to that news at first.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tioreh must have been suspecting this the whole time Nasiens was here, but this reveal may be the moment she started to seriously believe it, if not when Nasiens admitted to feeling healthier in the Fairy Realm. After this, she started to open up about her siblings more and telling Nasiens that he's like them--especially like Phao. All of this is stuff that Nasiens didn't know about since he met her two years ago. All of the tension in this family over Nasiens and Myrtel has been building up for so long...and right now we're watching it all cave in. I'm sure King and Diane had good intentions for hiding the truth, but hiding it's not working anymore.
Tumblr media
And Diane knows it's not working anymore. I'm stuck on her asking "Is that bad for you?" Why is she asking that of all things? Is that what King and Diane were so worried about when they decided to never come out about this? Did they think their kids would be upset with having a human for an older brother?
Okay, but maybe that's not all that they considered. Maybe they got worried about how their people outside of their family would react to their theories being confirmed. If that happened, as unfortunate as it is, Mertyl would probably get more ostracized than he was. With that in mind, I'm sure his parents made that choice to protect him from some of the problems he'd inevitably go through. It's a nice thought that way, but this was still a bad call. They made too many assumptions of their own kids' feelings.
Tumblr media
In other news...Phao was lurking... Now they're all gonna know and clear up this misunderstanding with their parents, right?
Anyway, I feel like I've written too much for one post, so I'll go on about the rest of the chapter tomorrow. Closing this part with this:

Don't know if you're gonna respond to this but I wanna know about your thoughts on the 142 raws.
Why do you think King gave the Drug of Yore now after it's been 2 years. A lotta people are saying that it's because he wants Nasiens to stay with them longer it's a pretty selfish reason ngl bit King is not like that though at least I think he's not like that.
Firstly, thank you so much for asking me! Knowing someone wants to hear my thoughts is a great motivation booster for me. I thought about writing my thoughts out, but now I'll definitely send out my full thoughts for the latest 4KOTA chapter after work today.
I CAN answer the specific part of your question before then, and my answer is this: I'm confident that King isn't offering the Drug of Yore to Nasiens to keep him around for longer. Remember that for a fairy like him, 2 years is like a couple or few days depending on what he's experienced in that long time. If he's in a peaceful place, like the Fairy Realm for the past 18 years, time's gonna start flying for him again even while he's raising his kids. And he knows Nasiens will have to leave someday. He knows he can't convince him to stay, and he can't expect his son to either.
It's more likely that this "gift" is King's apology to Nasiens for the changeling trick that happened to him. He is absolutely blaming himself for that and wants to make up for it as much as he can...and after a couple years of thought, the Drug of Yore is the gift he's chosen to offer without troubling his son with the truth. If everything went how he wanted, Nasiens would at least remember him well for that long after leaving them. As for why he didn't give this to Myrtel...there must be some kind of restriction involved that King just never explained.
I'd go on if my lunch break was longer lol. I'll go way more in-depth on my thoughts later!
