My Captains Sister-Adam Fantilli
Chapter One
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: After returning from a study abroad Lucy Moyle develops a crush on one of her brother’s teammates.
Lucy Moyle had just returned to Michigan after spending the first half of her sophomore year abroad and could not be more excited.
She loved her experience and wouldn’t trade it for the world but she also missed her family including her older brother Nolan Moyle who is currently captain of the University of Michigan hockey team.
She came home mid December and spent the last few weeks with her family but with the second semester starting up it was time for her and Nolan to return to Michigan.
Her parents flew out with the two of them a few days before the start of the new year to help her move all of her stuff into Nolan’s house where she would spend the rest of her year living at and a few days later she was all set and her parents flew back home.
Nolan and her are pretty close and he too couldn’t be more thrilled to have his baby sister back in town and living with him.
———————————————————————
Lucy had just finished her last class of the day and begins walking back to Nolan’s house. It was about a 20 minute walk but she made it and notices a few cars outside.
She ignores it and walks inside to see a few guys sitting on the couch with Nolan watching TV she recognizes a few of them as Nolan’s teammates from last year but some are new faces.
“Hey Luce these are just some guys from the team” Nolan says when he realizes she’s come into the house.
“You know Keato and Ethan and Mark these are a few of of the freshman that’s Adam and Luca Fantilli and Gavin Brindley and that’s Rutger McGroarty” Nolan introduces while pointing out the freshman.
“Guys this is my little sister Lucy” Nolan says there’s a few hi’s and nice to meet you but nothing else
“Hey we’re just finishing up a game then we’re gonna walk to the sports bar and grab some dinner wanna join?” Nolan offers
“No thanks I got so much homework and I should probably work on it” Lucy says
“ok good luck on it” Nolan says as Lucy starts walking to her room and shuts the door.
Nolan takes a seat back on the couch next to Keato and Gavin.
“I didn’t know you had a sister” the oldest Fantilli chirps
“ya she just got back she was studying abroad last semester” Nolan says he gets a few nods and then looks over at a few of the freshman who are sitting on the opposite couch “but she’s off limits so don’t even think about it” Nolan adds in a more serious tone.
A few of the freshman nod and put their hands up saying they got it and Nolan accepts it and the group goes back to enjoying the game.
Near the end of the game Adam gets up to refill his glass of water in the kitchen and finds Lucy as she’s filling up her water bottle.
“Hey Adam right” Lucy says
“Ya that’s me” Adam responds
“Nolan told me you played on the world Junior team for Canada you got the gold right?” Lucy asks
“ya ya I did it was an amazing experience” Adam smiles
“that’s seriously awesome!”
“Ya and I heard you just got back from study abroad how was that experience?” Adam asks
“it was amazing we went to like 7 or 8 countries around Europe it was fantastic”
“what was your favorite place?”
“my favorite was probably Italy I loved the culture and scenery”
“Really cool I have family in Italy and we went to visit for the first time this summer” Adam tells Lucy.
The two continue in a conversation about Italy for around 5 minutes before Keato walks in
“Adam the game just ended you ready?” He asks
“Ya all set” He says
“it was nice talking to you” Adam tells Lucy then tosses his plastic cup away and walks over to Keato.
“Don’t get any ideas Nolan is really protective about his sister” Keato warns
“We were just talking about studying abroad” Adam says
“alright I’m just telling you” Keato says before they reach the rest of their group at the front door.
———————————————————————
The following weekend the Wolverines hockey team had a two game home stand against the Wisconsin Badgers which they won by 3 on Friday.
Lucy went to the game on Saturday night with a couple of her friends and after the wolverines won 7-2 her friends asked if she wanted to go to a party with them.
Lucy although not usually the party type agreed and headed back to their place.
She was already wearing a pair of black ripped jeans and borrowed and blue top from her friends before the headed out.
She sent a text to Nolan letting her know where she was going to and he responded with be careful. She rolled her eyes at his protectiveness and entered the party.
Her friends got her a truly and they all made their way to the dance floor. After about 20 something minutes Lucy had finished her first can and gotten another fruity flavored truly.
Half way through her second Lucy had started to feel the buzz kicking in and felt a little nauseous.
“Hey I’m gonna be right back” she told her equally drunk friends as she stepped off the dance floor.
She made her way closer to the drink table and steadied herself with the wall.
“Lucy you ok?” A voice asks her from behind she turns around and sees the youngest Fantilli standing their with a red solo cup in his hand. “Adam” She says
“hey” she continues
“are you ok?” He repeats
“ya ya I’m I’m great!”She tells him taking another sip of her drink
“are you here with somebody?” Adam asks
“ya ya my friends are right on the dance floor” Lucy says pointing to the crowd of people
“alright just be safe tonight ok” Adam tells her she nods her head and watches as he walks away in the opposite direction of her.
Lucy shakes her head at the feeling of awkwardness that conversation gave her and takes another sip of her drink before heading back to the dance floor to find her friends.
The group of girls continue dancing and soon Lucy finished her second drink and had another one in her hand. A few sips in she starts to feel dizzy and before she can process what’s happening she’s being carried out of the party and is sitting outside the house on the sidewalk.
“Hey here’s a water” Someone says
“thanks” a second voice says
“should we call Nolan?” The first one asks
“ya ya we should I’ll stay with her” she hears footsteps retreating as her head tries making sense of what’s happening
“Lucy hey it’s Adam you need to drink some water” the second voice says her vision starts to clear and she sees him sitting next to her holding her up with an open water bottle in his hand.
Lucy reaches out with her cheeks red and gently takes the bottle from his hand brushing up against his hand. Lucy takes a few sips of the cold water and shivers.
“Here take my jacket” Adam says taking off the black jacket and wrapping it around her shoulders.
Lucy starts to feel this tingling sensation inside of her stomach and something comes over her as she looks up at Adam and wraps her arms around him then plants her lips on him. It takes a second for the shock to set in but he kisses her back. Soon the world goes silent and the two of them sit there kissing.
“What the fuck!” A voice shouts the two break out of the kiss immediately and see a not so pleased Nolan who starts getting out of the white vehicle he pulled up in.
Adam immediately takes in the situation while it takes Lucy a few extra seconds to realize what exactly just occurred. “Nolan I I didn’t it’s not not what you think she she kissed me and it just happened I promise” Adam defends himself to his extremely pissed off captain while starting to get up.
Luca Fantilli who had called Nolan in the first place gets a good view of the situation from afar and starts rushing over to cool it down but doesn’t make it in time to prevent Nolan from sucker punching Adam in the jaw and then proceeding to rip the jacket off of his younger sisters shoulders and throwing it towards his bleeding teammate.
Luca checks on Adam as he sees Nolan practically drag his younger sister to the passenger seat of his white car and then drive off leaving the two brothers on the sidewalk.
When the pair of siblings arrive back at their shared home. Nolan practically carries a still drunk Lucy to her room and tucks her into bed before angrily shutting the lights and slamming the door.
———————————————————————
Meanwhile the Fantilli brothers had taken an Uber back to their shared dorm and the oldest Luca had some words to say about his brothers taste in make out partners.
“Dude” is the first thing to come out of Luca’s mouth when they step into their room.
“Don’t dude me” Adam says with a scoff
“You don’t go after someone’s sister come on man everyone knows this” Luca continues
“You literally dated Rutgers sister and she kissed me!” Adam yells
“That’s different Rutger literally set us up and Nolan explicitly said his sister is off limits! And you go and kiss her!”
“So I should’ve left her drunk on the side of the road called Nolan and been like hey your sisters drunk come get her and gone back to the party right” Adam says sarcastically
“No but you still totally fucked up like what we’re you thinking?” Luca raises his voice a little
“Right now I’m thinking I really wishing I was drunker because anything would be better than having this conversation with you!” Adam yells grabbing his keys off of his desk and walking out of the room.
———————————————————————
The next morning Lucy Moyle wakes up with a massive headache and no memory of the night before then proceeds to roll out of bed still in her clothes from last night.
She walks out of her room to see her brother who’s doing homework in the kitchen.
“Good morning” She says forgetting the events that occurred last night
“it’s noon” Nolan harshly replies
“geez what’s got you in a mood” she comments
“do you not remember what happened last night?” Nolan says in a louder tone
“no not really but I do have a headache so can you keep your voice down” She says walking to the medicine cabinet to grab two Advil
“how about I refresh your memory you got drunk at a frat party and Adam and Luca took you outside, Luca called me to pick you up and when I get there you’re making out with Adam!” Nolan yells Lucy’s face pales and her eyes open wide
“No I didn’t” Lucy asks appalled by the news of her drunken actions
“oh my god I have to apologize” Lucy says and starts rushing to her room only to be pulled back into the kitchen by Nolan
“Absolutely not!” Nolan raises his voice still with a firm but not painful grip on Lucy’s arm Lucy winces at the harsh tone
“Nol it wasn’t his fault! It was mine please I need to apologize” Lucy defends
“No you are not to see or speak to Adam again!” Nolan says Lucy rolls her eyes
“I mean it Lucy! You better stay the hell away from Adam!” Nolan says before walking towards his room and slamming his door.

Please expand on all things Adam!! Your headcanon tags are so interesting. And also why’d the announcers do that like that was shitty
god, i'm obsessed. that podcast at the start of the season when adam said that he wished he would have had more fun playing hockey when he was growing up? and then he sounded a little bit awed and grateful when he described umich like this: "i've never been on a team where everybody genuinely loves each other as much as we do on our team." bam, headcanon that adam had kind of a miserable minor hockey experience. and he just thought that was how it was supposed to be, that hockey was serious.
but then luca left for prep school. adam lost his permanent source of sunshine, the one person who was always in his corner, who didn't give a shit about how he was playing or what the media was saying about him. and that made it so much harder to put on a smile and endure the pressure and the expectations and everything else heating up around him in the GTHL. but also adam saw luca go and realized: wait, you can just leave? and pat brisson said yeah, kid, you sure can. (and then this fourteen-year-old kid had to hold a press conference to try to assuage the outrage about him fleeing toronto? good lord.)
so adam has been happily hanging out in the blissful obscurity of the USA ever since, finally having fun playing hockey, with luca by his side. but now the draft is coming and hockey canada is calling and it turns out adam couldn't ever leave like luca could leave. canada doesn't care about luca but canada's fucking pissed at adam. the TSN commentary tonight was really eye-opening. like, yes, adam had a couple of defensive screw-ups. but they blamed him for everything. the first intermission discussion pretty much implied he was poisoning canada's pure hockey culture with his trashy michigan frivolity (never mind that connor bedard also tried a lacrosse move like two minutes after adam did, connor gets no blame). when adam skated over to sit for his teammate's five-minute major: "here comes fantilli across to serve, the guy who does not kill penalties." uh yes he fucking does!!! and even his teammates roasting him about going to college and practicing lacrosse goals in his dorm room?!
(oh also he's completely codependent with his brother, but also maybe jealous that everyone uncomplicatedly loves luca with no strings attached and it seems like nobody's ever going to feel that way about adam? god the headcanons are incredible!)

Sea Sickness
Sea Sickness
Luke Hughes x fem!reader (established relationship, but still new)
Idea: Reader gets nauseous from being on the boat at the Hughes’s Lake House and snuggles up to Luke.
Requested: Nope.
Author’s Note:  I know I’m bouncing around who I’m writing for, but I’m on a NHL spree right now. I also get nauseated if I'm on a boat or in the ocean for too long. Fun Fact: I wrote the beginning part of this on a note card while working by myself in the OR today. We had a really long case where I just had to check up on people during the middle of it (hence why I wrote this on a card because I don’t like going on my phone when I’m in the OR. It's unprofessional). I don’t know any of these people personally. The closest I’ve gotten to the team (that wasn’t just playing in the band at the games or when they were walking past us down the 2023 red carpet in tampa) was a tuba was talking to some of them in his plane row on the ride back from that trip (he ended up being the tuba you see in the senior picture from 2024) and one of the coaches had to share our bus on the way back from the 2023 frozen four game with his wife and two young daughters (I kept trying to get the younger one to smile at me unsuccessfully).  Someone from my hotel room also shared the elevator ride up with the entire Fantilli family the night they lost that game in 2023 (I think Adam also won the Hobey Baker award that same night). I’ve also been playing my lego lord of the rings game. Anyway, enjoy this little blurb.
Tagging some of my favorite Hughes/NHL writers, love y’all.
@wineauntie @thedevilrisen @winterbarnesblog @sc0tters
I forgot to mention that this is kinda based on the cute stuff @bedsyandco writes
I'm now sad when I'm uploading this because a friend from college drumline has an incurable brain cancer. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers (he's only 19 or 20).
Requests are still open.  Feedback is always appreciated.  Also, tell me if you want to be part of a Tag List and I’ll tag you when I upload something new. If you want to only be tagged when I upload something for a certain character or shows, let me know as well.
Warning: None, just general fluff. Feeling sick on a boat.
Word Count: 488
Tumblr media
Being on a boat wasn’t your most favorite thing in the world, mainly because the last time you were on a boat, it got stuck in the middle of the laek and had to be towed back to shore (true story), but when your boyfriend Luke invited you to spend the weekend at the lakehouse with ihs brothers and friends, you weren't going to say no. The weekend had been filled with lots of eating, playing outside, and the boys being competitive at every game they pick up (even the old board game you brought to teach them how to play).  Just trying to keep up with them all was exhausting, so that’s how you ended up on the back of the boat enjoying the warm air instead of diving into the water again.  The boys had been going back and forth between wakeboarding and chatting on the boat deck. With them supplying the lake with plenty of waves, the constand up and down was starting to make your stomach sick.  You scooched over and made yourself comfortable laying your head on Luke’s shoulder.  He then opened his arms and wrapped you in his warm embrace so you could crawl on his lap and snuggle closer to his chest.
“You feeling ok?”
“Yeah, just want to stop the constant movement.” It was getting to a point were you just wanted to stop the constant movement.  It being really hot out didn’t help either.
“We’ll head to shore soon. Then we can cool off inside.”
Being wrapped up in Luke’s embrace with his fingers gently carding through your hair or down your shoulder leaving goosebumps in their wake and shading you with his fit body definitely helped keep your mind off of your stomach and the boat’s ever shifting movements.  Luke wasn’t much of a pda person, but you always encouraged him to show little bits of it at least in front of his family or close friends.
Little did you know, that’s exactly who was eyeing the interaction.  Jack, Quinn, Trevor, Cole, and Dylan all had stopped what they were talking about in favor of watching the interaction between you two.  Eventhough they were not all related, they felt like proud older brothers seeing Luke be so considerate and affectionate in front of them.  Of couse they’re all going to tease him relentlessly later about this, but they were gentlemen in regards to respecting the timing and the moment.
“Just lay down and close your eyes. We’ll be on shore soon.”  You snuggled deeper into Luke’s neck keeping your eyes closed and focused on his soft skin, his natural scent, and the way his warm body curled around yours. He even tugged on your legs to pull you fully into his lap as his large frame wrapped around your body fully encasing you in his warmth and comfort.
Nothing better than enjoying the summer with those you love.

December - Adam Fantilli
Tumblr media
Officially in Adam era. Enjoy
I miss him at Michigan
w.c: 1,923 (credit to gif maker)(don't steal my work)
You learned quickly that December is a lot colder without him here. All the Christmas lights seem a little less bright, the hot chocolate tastes a little more bland, and the joys of the season are still there, just slightly muted.
It wasn’t anyone’s fault. He was busy, so were you. College and hockey don’t stop, and the world will never cater to your relationship, no matter how much you wish it would sometimes. Instead, you both learned to figure it out. You FaceTime, call, and text as much as you can. Adam even suggested writing letters, but with his handwriting, you suggested something else.
You both send each other care packages, his typically filled with snacks you knew he’d love or books you insist he needs to read. Yours were always filled with new merchandise and one of his sweatshirts that still smelled like him. It is a good system, and you love how you make it work. But alas, Adam isn’t in Michigan, and you wish every night that he was.
A pound on your door jolts you out of your daze, and you check what time it is on your phone; it’s around 6:30, and you aren’t expecting anyone to your apartment. You’re confused when you look through the little peephole, but that all of a sudden disappears when your second favorite Fantilli is on the other side of the door. He’s not alone either, standing patiently with Rutger.
Each boy is clad in Michigan gear from head to toe, and Luca giggles about something when you open the door. The boys turn to you with the wildest smile that immediately makes you suspicious.
“What do I owe this pleasure?” You ask, narrowing your eyes a bit.
The boys dramatically roll their eyes, and Rutger places his hand on his heart in mock betrayal.
“Are we not allowed to visit our favorite person ever?”
You roll your eyes at Rutger and shift in the doorway, opening space for them. With bright smiles, they shuffle in, dropping their bags and immediately making themselves comfortable. So comfortable, in fact, Rutger opens your fridge and grabs out Capri Sun.
“I love this, don’t get me wrong, but why’re you here? I know you’ve both had a busy day.”
The pair grow quiet, and Rutger looks toward Luca to lead.
“Adam said you were a bit sad today.” Luca pipes up. “And we’re good at making you happy.
A small part of you feels terrible; it’s not their job to check on you, but most of you want to cry happy tears. You love these boys, and it means a lot that they still care about you, even when Adam is gone.
“So, we’re taking you out. No arguments, go change.” Rutger says, shooing you to your bedroom.
You give in because, of course, you do. It has been a bit of a rough day, and it didn’t help that your boyfriend has only texted you a few times today, telling you about how busy his weekend is going to be and he might not be around much.
You pull on some of Adam’s old Michigan gear, and within a few minutes, you’re walking out of your apartment with the boys. They don’t tell you where they’re taking you, but you just follow, content with being with your friends.
“She actually said that to her face?” Luca asks in disbelief.
You are telling the boys about some friend drama when you reach your destination. It’s a cute little pasta place close to campus, and It is one of your favorite spots. Adam took you here a lot in the last year, and you haven’t been able to go as often now that he’s been gone.
You smile as you follow Luca in, Rutger trailing behind you as you continue telling your story. Soon enough, you’re seated in a booth, food ordered, and you’re listening to them tell you about their own lives, hockey, and whatever the hell else.
You’re soaking up every minute with them, and you realize as you’re talking that you miss being around them. You miss the jokes, the laughs, the chaos, and you know that you have to get out of this little funk. They’re still your best friends, and you have to start seeing them more.
The pasta comes, and you dive in. It tastes like heaven, and you’re transported back to all the times you’ve eaten this meal with Adam. Your heart twinges slightly, but you shove the emotion down and continue laughing with the boys.
“So what’d you get A for Christmas?” Luce asks, mouth full of pasta. “Promise I won’t tell.”
You shrug your shoulders a bit. “A couple of little things. But I was thinking about visiting him, but I’m not sure he has time.”
You looked into it a bunch, but every weekend before Christmas was jam-packed in both of your schedules.
“You guys will figure it out.” Luca hums.
“Yeah, besides, he hasn’t seen you in a while, and I bet all he wants is to unwrap you like a pres-“
“Gross Rut,” Luca interrupts him, and you both laugh at his disgusted face.
The rest of the meal goes by, and at the end of it, you’re feeling much better about life. You’re super happy with this reunion, and you want it to continue, but Luca's phone buzzes on the table, and he gives Rutger a look.
“Ready to go?” Rutger asks, and you nod, heading back outside into the Michigan cold.
It’s a beautiful night, and when you step out, you see that light snow has started to fall. It looks picturesque as you stare at the snow and the decorations for the season. You feel your heart swell, then get slightly sad again, but you smile anyway.
“It’s perfect out.” You whisper to the pair, and they nod. “Are you guys going to come back up? Watch a movie or something?”
The pair share a quick look, and Rutger shakes his head.
“We can’t, we gotta head back.”
You’re a bit disappointed, but you don’t show it. They both have lives, and you can’t expect them to stay forever just because you’re a little lonely.
“All good, this was so nice. Thanks, you guys.”
Both the boys smile at you, and you walk back to your apartment. It’s still snowing, and when you reach the building, they stop at the entrance.
“Are you good to go back up yourself? My mom’s calling me.” Luca says quickly.
You nod your head, say a quick goodbye, and watch as the boys walk briskly away. You’re a bit confused, but you wave anyway as they speed off.
You make your way to the elevator, and you feel good as you climb the floors. You’re happy you got to spend time with some of your favorite boys, even if it was just for a while.
When you step out of the elevator and round the hall to your place, you smell a Christmas candle, and a wave of nostalgia hits you. It’s your favorite Christmas scent, and you almost want to cry. However, you don’t because as you come to your door, you realize the smell is wafting from your apartment.
You’re so completely lost, but when you unlock the door, everything falls into place.
There he is, standing in the center of your apartment wearing a cozy ugly Christmas sweater you’d bought him and smiling as though he’s the happiest man in the world.
You freeze, taking in the decorated apartment. You see a small little Christmas tree with a few presents, lights that line the space, and your favorite fucking candle lit on your dining table.
You drop your keys to the floor, and tears flow as he crosses the room to meet you. When he envelops you in his arms, you cry even harder, knowing that this is probably the happiest moment you’ve had in a long time.
“Hey baby,” Adam says into your hair. “Merry Christmas.”
You release him just enough to see his face. His beard has grown back, his eyes are a little glossy, too, and his smile is one of the brightest you’ve ever seen.
“Did you miss me?” He asks, wiping a tear from your face.
You pull back even further and give him a slight glare. “Yes, you asshole.”
You pull him back in, but this time, you pull him down slightly to meet his lips for the first time. In a simple moment, it’s like a world of color appears again before your closed eyes. Almost every thought in your brain is stripped out and replaced with him. He’s here. Really here. He’s here pressing his lips to yours and pulling you closer. He’s cupping your face, running his hand up and down your back and into your hair. He tastes familiar, and everything about him makes you feel complete. You finally feel whole again within his arms.
When you finally convince yourself to pull away, you meet his eyes again. You want to tell him you love him, but instead, your brain fails to string any thoughts together. So you simply pull him back to you and hope your kiss will show him those three words.
———————-
The night goes by slowly, and you couldn’t be more thankful. You spend hours talking, laughing, and staying cuddled on your couch. Only removing yourself when it gets late enough and you can barely keep your eyes open. You eventually make it to your bed, and everything is right as you lay against Adam’s chest, listening to his heart steadily beating.
“So Luca and Rut were your pawns?” You ask Adam, tracing little shapes on his chest.
He lets out a small laugh, and it's music to your ears.
“I mentioned I needed help surprising you, and the team had to draw names to see who would be the distraction.”
You smile at the thought and cuddle even closer to him.
“I missed you.” You say after a minute.
You grin as he pulls you impossibly closer and kisses you gently on the head.
“I know,” he says. “But this doesn’t last forever. It’s just tough right now.”
You nod, agreeing with him. Right now, it sucks, but soon enough, you’ll be done with school, and he’s already out there making a name for himself. You know he knows how proud you are of him, and you support his dreams, even if it means you have to spend a couple of years like this.
You have your own life and your own dreams to keep you busy. But even then, you crave being with one another, and a piece you is always missing when he isn’t around you. But you do it anyway. You love him, and it’s these little moments that remind you why you put yourself through the pain. When he’s with you, when you’re together, everything is aligned, and it's nothing but perfection.
Yeah, December might be much colder when he isn’t with you, but when he is, it’s like you’re on fire. The only feeling you have is endless warmth.

we rush back to each other; in our hearts it was real.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
af11 | after adam comes to michigan for a small visit, he makes talking to you hard to avoid.
(a/n this is a part two. part one can be found here)
Adam was so grateful to get the chance to do an honorary puck drop at a Michigan game. He was excited to see his old teammates play again and be around the campus. Yet, only one priority clouded his mind.
You.
You knew Adam would be back in Ann Arbor. Fuck, you even felt his presence, even if he was staying with his brother. The thought made you sick to your stomach in embarrassment.
Adam didn't even attempt to reach out after your pathetic attempt to show him you missed him. It was so embarrassing to you. You spent three nights crying in your room, sobbing to the point you were dry heaving.
This really proved you two were done, for good.
You were wasting away your day, rotting in your dorm room. It was freezing cold too, you wanted to feel the coldness as a way of suffering.
A constant vibrating came from your phone. Which, in your mind, was strange. Considering the fact your phone had sat on DND for the past week.
The call was sent through again and you finally reached over to grasp the device. The caller ID belonged to no other than Luca Fantilli. You let a slew of curse words fall from your lips, answering the phone.
"Hi, Y/N! Whatcha doin'?" Luca's excited voice rang into the speaker, practically causing you lose your hearing. "Rotting in bed, why?" You grumbled, flipping over to switch on your lamp.
You heard the sound of whispering in the background. You knew it was Adam.
"I have those Bio notes! I'll drop them outside your door." Luca informed, causing you to roll your eyes. "I don't want them, I told you that," You complained, a cough coming from your throat.
"Too bad! I'll knock and leave. You won't even have to see me!" Luca spoke, yet, you knew he wasn't being truthful. Luca loved to bother people, well, not necessarily bother. He just loved to talk and talk.
"Right, okay. Got it," You replied, not convinced by his story, hanging up the phone. You slumped back into your bed, running your hands down you face. “Fuck.”
Tumblr media
After about thirty minutes, you heard the incessant knocking on the door. You didn’t bother to get up, considering Luca said he’d drop off the “bio notes.” After a few minutes, the knocking started again.
With a groan, you climbed out of your bed. Your feet touched the cold ground, causing a shiver to shake your body. Not bothering to look in the peep hole, you pulled the door open.
Except, it wasn’t Luca standing outside of the door. Not this time. This time it was Adam, not holding any stack of papers. Out of instinct, you shut the door back in his face.
Your heart twisted, pounding rapidly against your chest. It took him a week to reach out after you sent what could possibly be the most embarrassing video in your life.
“Open the door, please.” Adam’s voice spoke from across the door. Your hand was placed on the door handle, hesitant to pull it open. Without much thinking, you opened the door once more.
“Hi, Adam.” You spoke, eyes looked on him.
Adam ran a hand through his hair, his eyes examining your body. You looked much more frail since the last time he’d seen you. Your eyebags were deep and purple, your face sunken in.
“Can we talk?”
You looked back down at your feet, lips pursed together. You lifted your shoulders, shrugging at the boy. “What is there to talk about?” You asked.
“Let me come in,” Adam pressed. He wanted to just grab you and keep you with him all the time. Before he watched your video, Adam swore he was better off without you. But now? Adam didn’t want to do anything if you weren’t by his side.
You sighed, taking a step back from the door, beckoning Adam inside. Adam slipped off his shoes, shrugging off his coat. Your eyes attentively watched him, swallowing harshly.
Adam still looked like the same old boy who let you walk out of his life. He looked healthy, had great vibe radiating off of him. It made you sick to think that while you’ve been crying in your room, he’s probably perfectly fine.
“What do you want to talk about?” You spoke, your voice cracking as the words got stuck in your throat.
“Do you still love me?” Adam asked, keeping at least an arm’s length distance between the two of you. “Well, of course-“ Your words cut off by him.
“Why haven’t you ever said anything?” His voice seems to have been laced with anger, which caused you to feel much too small in his presence. He spoke to you like you were being scolded.
“Because you seem fine without me. There was no reason-“
“Except there is. Because I miss you, so fucking much. And then here you go, making a small little video that has been stuck on my mind since I’ve seen it. Why did you have to do that? Why did it have to be that way?” Adam pressed, his face screwed up in confusion.
“Because I was never going to tell you. Then Luca asked me to be in the video, then your mom even asked me to do it as well. I couldn’t just say no.” You explained, your fingers rubbing at your eyes to try to prevent the tears from starting to spill. You had to be strong.
“Why did it have to be a secret?” Adam’s voice cracked ever so slightly, causing your body to fill up with rage. How dare he get to be upset when he was the one who planned to leave you? He was the one who left you cold and alone in Michigan.
“Adam! You don’t get to be upset about this! You don’t! You are the one who planned to leave! You had this figment in your fucking imagination that somehow we wouldn’t work. But fucking look at me! Do I look healthy? Do I look better now that you are gone? I don’t!” You shook your head, a scoff pausing your words. “And for me to stand here, still fighting for some relationship that didn’t mean anything to you? Gosh, it’s pathetic.” You groaned.
“Adam I think you need to go,” You were able to muster out, gently pushing him towards the door. Your hands were pressed against his chest has you attempted to push him out. “No, no, I’m staying,” Adam wrapped his hands over your wrists, holding his ground.
“Adam, go,” You stated once more, give another attempt to push him out. “No.” Adam deadpanned, his heart aching as he looked down at you. “Why can’t you let me move on!” You cried, falling against his chest, the tears finally stinging your eyes as they fell down your chest.
Adam caught you as you fell forward, his arms wrapping around your shaking body. His hand was pressed to the back of your head, holding you as you sobbed into his chest. “Because maybe we weren’t meant to move on from each other,” Adam quietly spoke, a sad frown appearing on his face.
“Don’t say that,” You managed to choke out.
“I mean it. We aren’t meant to move on, we were meant to be together. I made the horrible mistake to let you go, to push you away from me. But, I’ve missed you every single day. I’ve regretted it since,” Adam explained himself, listening as your crying slowed. He could tell your breathing calmed down, your heart beating at a steady rate. “I’m not asking you to forgive me, I’m just asking to give me another chance,” Adam added to her previous statement.
You took a step back, looking at him through your foggy eyes. At any moment, it looked like he would get down on his knees and beg. You racked your brain for any sort of direction on how to move forward. You love Adam, that has never changed. You missed him every day, hoping that he’d do exactly what he was doing now.
How could you let yourself miss the opportunity?
“Adam, how could we even work it out? Maybe you were right along, that the distance would be too much.” You sighed, wiping some of the tears from under your eyes. “Would it be any worse than how it is now? We can figure it out, Y/N.” Adam pleaded, taking a step towards you.
You looked down, chewing on your bottom lip. He had a point. Dealing with the short distance would be nothing compared to the literal lack of Adam you’ve been dealing with. Nothing can compare to the hurt and pain you’ve pushed yourself into.
“Okay,” You mumbled, trying to find words to speak. “We can try again. But I swear Adam, if at any point it becomes too much, we have to - we have to talk.” You sternly spoke, looking back up at him.
“Yes, yes. We will talk, we will work it out. I promise, I will make sure of it,” Adam nodded, his eyes turning a small bit brighter than usual. You give him a small smile, connecting the small bit of distance between the both of you with a tight hug. Adam quickly pulled you into his grasp, holding you like you’d fall into the ground if he let go.
“I’ve missed you so much, I’ve missed you more than anything,” Adam spoke into your hair, placing a quick peck to the top of your head. “I’ve missed you too, you big sap,” You had a joking tone to your voice.
“Can we prank Luca before we tell him we worked things out?” You spoke, looking up at Adam with a mischievous expression. Adam raised his eyebrows, nodding quickly. “Hell yeah, but first-“ Adam paused, looking around the room, almost like he was suddenly nervous again.
“What?” You curiously asked, furrowing your brows as you looked at him. Adam shrugged, his hand moving to rest on your cheek. He leaned in, his lips pressing compassionately to your lips. You gripped onto his biceps, quickly melting into his embrace.
Adam pulled away, his cheeks a light tint of red. “Alright, now time to mess with Luca.”

The first time I realized I had feelings for Luca was a moment that was etched into my memory forever. It was a warm summer evening, and Adam had invited me over to hang out at their house. We were in the backyard, sitting around a crackling bonfire, the soft glow illuminating our faces as we roasted marshmallows and shared stories.
The atmosphere was relaxed and carefree, the air filled with the sweet scent of burning wood and the sound of laughter. As the night wore on, the conversation turned to crushes and relationships. Adam, being the cheeky younger brother, started teasing Luca about his love life, which he brushed off with a laugh.
"Come on, Luca, there must be someone you're interested in," Adam persisted, grinning mischievously.
Luca looked thoughtful for a moment, his eyes scanning the faces around the fire before they landed on mine. "Well, there is someone," he admitted, his eyes locking with mine, the intensity of his gaze sending a shiver down my spine.
I felt my heart skip a beat as I met his gaze, a rush of emotions flooding over me. My cheeks flushed with warmth, and I quickly looked away, trying to conceal the sudden intensity of my feelings. I tried to brush off my emotions, convincing myself that it was just a passing crush. But as the days turned into weeks, my feelings for Luca only grew stronger, consuming my thoughts and filling my dreams.
I found myself thinking about him constantly, replaying our conversations in my mind and longing for the next time I would see him. Every smile, every laugh, and every touch sent shivers down my spine, and I knew deep down that what I felt for Luca was more than just a crush.
I would catch myself stealing glances at him when he wasn't looking, admiring the way his eyes sparkled in the sunlight and the way his smile lit up his face. I would replay that moment by the bonfire over and over again, trying to make sense of the whirlwind of emotions it had stirred within me.
It took me a while to come to terms with my feelings, but that summer evening by the bonfire was the moment I realized I was falling in love with Luca. And as scary as it was, it was also the most exhilarating feeling in the world, a secret thrill that I carried with me, treasuring it as my own little secret.

The sun streamed through the leaves, casting a mosaic of light and shadow on the ground. I sat on the porch swing, swinging gently back and forth, lost in my thoughts. It was the usual spot where I would spend countless hours with Adam, my best friend and Luca's younger brother.
Adam and I had been inseparable since childhood. Our friendship was the kind that withstood every test of time and distance. We shared everything, from secrets to dreams and fears. And yet, there was one secret I had kept buried deep within me – my feelings for Luca, Adam's older brother.
Luca was different from anyone I had ever known. He was intelligent, witty, and had this irresistible charm that made everyone around him gravitate towards him. But what drew me to him the most was his kindness and the way he treated people with respect and genuine interest. Every time he smiled at me or brushed against my hand accidentally, my heart would skip a beat.
I knew it was wrong to feel this way about my best friend's brother. I had tried to push those feelings aside, convincing myself that it was just a silly crush that would fade away with time. But the more I tried to deny it, the stronger my feelings grew.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Adam's voice interrupted my thoughts, pulling me back to reality. He sat down beside me, concern etched on his face.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I replied, forcing a smile. "Just lost in thought, I guess."
Adam looked at me for a moment, as if trying to read my mind. "You've been acting strange lately. Is something bothering you?"
I hesitated, unsure if I should confide in him about my feelings for Luca. "It's nothing, Adam. Just some school stuff and… well, you know, the usual drama."
Adam seemed to buy my explanation, but I could tell he wasn't entirely convinced. "Alright, just remember, I'm here for you, okay?"
"Thanks, Adam," I said, feeling a pang of guilt for keeping my feelings a secret from him.

As the days turned into weeks, my feelings for Luca became harder to ignore. Every time I saw him, my heart would race, and my palms would sweat. It was becoming increasingly difficult to hide my emotions, especially when Luca started spending more time with us, joining Adam and me on our usual adventures.
One evening, while we were all hanging out in Adam's backyard, Luca suggested we play a game of Truth or Dare. I hesitated for a moment, remembering the last time we played and the embarrassing dare I had to do. But before I could object, Adam eagerly agreed, and Luca set the rules.
As the game progressed, the dares became more daring, and the truths more revealing. I was starting to regret agreeing to play when it was my turn again.
"Y/N, truth or dare?" Luca asked, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Um, truth," I replied, not wanting to risk another embarrassing dare.
Luca grinned, leaning slightly forward as he asked, "Alright, who is your secret crush?"
My heart skipped a beat, and I felt my cheeks turn crimson. I glanced at Adam, who was watching me intently, waiting for my answer. A mischievous idea formed in my mind, and I couldn't resist the urge to make Luca just a little bit jealous.
"Jake from my English class," I said, trying to sound casual but unable to hide the hint of excitement in my voice.
Luca's grin faltered slightly, his eyes narrowing as he processed my answer. He cleared his throat, trying to mask his reaction. "Really? Jake, huh? I didn't know you liked him."
I could see a flash of something in Luca's eyes – was it surprise, or maybe a hint of jealousy? It was subtle, but I noticed it, and it gave me a thrill.
"Yeah, well, you learn something new every day," I said with a playful smirk, forcing a laugh as I turned my attention back to the game.
The atmosphere shifted subtly, a new tension forming between Luca and me. I could feel his gaze on me, a bit more intense than before, as if he was trying to figure out my true feelings. The game continued, but the dynamic had changed. There was a palpable distance between us now, a barrier I had unintentionally created by lying about my feelings.

A few days had passed since the game of Truth or Dare, and I could feel a subtle shift in the dynamics between Luca and me. There was an unspoken tension, a distance that hadn't been there before. I knew I had to address the elephant in the room, but I wasn't sure how to bring it up.
One afternoon, I was in the kitchen making a sandwich when Luca walked in, his expression serious. He paused for a moment, studying me as if trying to read my thoughts.
"Y/N, can we talk?" he asked, his voice hesitant.
"Sure, what's on your mind?" I replied, trying to sound casual despite the butterflies in my stomach.
Luca took a deep breath, choosing his words carefully. "I couldn't help but notice your reaction the other night during the game. When you mentioned Jake from your English class, it seemed... genuine. Do you really have a crush on him?"
I hesitated for a moment, taking a deep breath before answering. "Yes, Luca, I do have a crush on Jake," I said, forcing myself to maintain eye contact with him.
Luca's expression faltered, a flicker of disappointment crossing his features. He looked down, running a hand through his hair, clearly struggling with his emotions.
"I see," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
I felt a pang of guilt, realizing that my attempt to make Luca jealous had backfired. I took a step closer to him, reaching out to touch his arm gently.
"But that's not the whole truth," I admitted, my voice trembling slightly. "I said that to hide my true feelings. The truth is, I have feelings for someone else... someone I shouldn't."
Luca looked up, his eyes searching mine for clarity. "Who?"
I took a deep breath, summoning the courage to confess. "It's you, Luca. I have feelings for you."
There was a moment of silence as Luca processed my confession. His eyes widened, and he took a step back, clearly taken aback by my admission.
"Y/N... I don't know what to say," Luca stammered, his voice filled with a mixture of shock and confusion.
I felt my heart sink, regretting my decision to lie about Jake. "I'm sorry, Luca. I shouldn't have lied to you. I just didn't know how to admit my true feelings, and I thought it would be easier to pretend."
Luca sighed, his shoulders slumping in defeat. "I understand why you did it, but it doesn't make it any easier to hear."
I looked down, feeling tears prick at the corners of my eyes. "I'm so sorry, Luca. I never wanted to hurt you."
Luca reached out, gently lifting my chin to meet his gaze. "It's okay, Y/N. I appreciate your honesty, even if it took a little while to get there. We need to talk about this, but for now, let's just take some time to process everything, okay?"
I nodded, grateful for his understanding despite the mess I had created. "Okay, Luca. Thank you for being understanding."

A few days had passed since our awkward kitchen conversation, and the tension between Luca and me had only grown. We had barely spoken since that day, both of us avoiding the elephant in the room. But today, it seemed like Luca was ready to address the situation.
We found ourselves alone in the living room, the soft glow of the afternoon sun filtering through the curtains. Luca took a deep breath, his eyes meeting mine as he began to speak.
"Y/N, we need to talk," he started, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "I've been doing some thinking, and I realized that I can't keep pretending anymore. I've been feeling something more than just friendship for you for a while now."
My heart skipped a beat, a rush of emotions flooding over me. The uncertainty and tension that had consumed me over the past few days were suddenly replaced by a glimmer of hope and excitement.
"Really?" I whispered, my voice trembling slightly.
Luca nodded, his smile growing more confident and genuine. "Yes, really. I was just too afraid to admit it because of Adam and everything."
A wave of relief washed over me, and I felt tears of happiness forming in my eyes. It was a moment of clarity and honesty, a turning point in our relationship that had been a long time coming.
"I feel the same way, Luca," I admitted, my voice filled with sincerity and affection. "I've been so scared to admit my feelings, especially after lying about Jake. But the truth is, I have feelings for you, and I don't want to hide them anymore."
Luca's smile widened, and he reached out to take my hand, his touch sending shivers down my spine. "I'm glad we're finally being honest with each other, Y/N.” He paused for a moment, taking a deep breath as if gathering the courage to continue. "Y/N, I think I love you...?" he hesitated.
"Think?" I teased, trying to lighten the mood.
"Let's just say a ninety-nine percent chance," Luca clarified, his eyes searching mine for a reaction.
A smile spread across my face, my heart swelling with happiness. "I'll take it," I replied, my voice filled with warmth and affection.
His eyes lit up with relief and happiness as I responded. Luca pulled me into a gentle embrace, wrapping his arms around me as if to shield me from the world.
"I've been wanting to say that for so long, Y/N," he whispered, his voice soft and full of emotion.
I nestled my head against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart. "I've been feeling the same way, Luca. I just didn't know how to tell you."
He pulled back slightly to look into my eyes, his gaze filled with love and sincerity. "Well, now we don't have to hide our feelings anymore. I can't wait to see where this ninety-nine percent chance takes us."
I smiled up at him, feeling like the luckiest person in the world. "Me neither, Luca. Me neither."
Luca gently brushed a stray strand of hair behind my ear and leaned down to kiss my forehead tenderly. "I promise to always be honest with you, Y/N, and to cherish every moment we have together."

christmas delays
luca fantilli x reader
words: 1,780
masterlist
luca groaned, landing face first on the couch as you closed the front door. you sighed at the sight, shrugging off your coat and slipping off your shoes. luca hadn’t done either of those things upon entering, just dropped both of your bags and belly flopped.
“lu…” you made your way over to him, kneeling next to the couch and gently rubbing his back. he had been facing the other way but after a moment he turned so he was looking at you. tears lined his eyes and you could tell he was trying to stop them from spilling over.
“this is all my fault,” he choked out. you were quick to shake your head.
“no it’s not. don’t think that at all.”
“it is! i was the one who wanted to go to that show, which is why we had to book the later flight. we would already be back at my house if it wasn’t for me.” a tear fell down his cheek.
“luca, you couldn’t have known this would happen,” you tried to comfort him. you hated that he was putting all of this on himself.
he had wanted to do something romantic, so he bought tickets for the two of you to go see a live version of a christmas story at a local theatre. it was a popular show, and only one night had tickets left by the time he bought them, which was the night you had originally planned to fly out of michigan and back to canada. when he surprised you with the tickets, he reassured you that he had changed the plane tickets and you would be on a flight the day after the play. unfortunately, from the time that your original flight took off, to the time you showed up at the airport for your new flight, a heavy winter storm had popped up near the airport you’d be landing at. no one knew how long it would last, and after three delays, all flights were eventually cancelled.
the wait at the airport had been rough. you were both antsy, ready to get back to the fantilli household but instead stuck in a terminal with numerous other angry people. when the second delay was announced, luca called adam. adam was flying in around the same time, and was facing the same problem trying to fly out of ohio. it hurt you to hear the boy talking to his brother, knowing he missed him and couldn’t wait to see him in person. but the longer you both sat in the uncomfortable airport seats, the more your hope started to dwindle. a third delay was announced, and luca started to pace. when they informed everyone the flight was cancelled, you wish you hadn’t been looking for luca’s reaction, because it hurt your heart. your boyfriend looked absolutely crushed at the news, realizing he wouldn’t be going home to see his family for the holiday like he had been looking forward to.
you had already checked your bags, so you had to retrieve them before leaving the airport. you waited for a moment, listening to the employee explain that everyone would be refunded and where to go to pick up checked luggage. you followed her instructions, walking hand in hand with luca toward the baggage claim. you passed a bathroom, and you tugged luca’s hand.
“i’m gonna run to the bathroom real quick. you go ahead and i’ll meet you in a minute.” he just nodded, too upset at the day’s events for much else. you watched for a moment as he sulked away, and then you pulled your phone from your pocket. a moment later, you were holding it up to your ear, listening to it ring.
“hello?”
“has your flight been cancelled yet?”
“no, not… fuck. yeah, it has,” adam informed you.
“ours too. luca’s absolutely devastated. i don’t remember the last time i’ve seen him like this.”
“shit. okay, uh, let me call him once i get back to my car and-“
“i was thinking you could come up and surprise him.” the line was silent for a moment so you took that as your cue to keep talking. “he’s bummed he isn’t gonna see your family but that doesn’t have to be true. it’s not snowing here at all so if the roads near you aren’t bad-“
“no, they’re not,” adam informed you. “i gotta get my bag but then i’m on my way.” you nearly cried at how easy it was to convince the boy.
“don’t tell him. i’ll try to keep him busy for the next three hours but i was thinking it could be a surprise when you show up.”
“sounds great. i’m gonna go so i can get on the road but i’ll let you know when i’m coming into town okay?”
“perfect. thank you so much, adam.”
“of course. he’s my brother. and i’m sure i miss him just as much as he misses me.” you smiled and nodded, even though adam couldn’t see you. “i’ll see you soon.”
“see you, bye.” you ended the call, letting out a deep breath of relief before heading off to find luca at baggage claim. keeping your sad attitude was hard with the amount of excitement coursing through your body, but you managed to keep the act up enough. luca didn’t suspect a thing.
“i texted adam.” you hummed at the information luca told you when you approached. “his flight was cancelled too so at least i wont be the only one that’s not with everybody at home.” you gave him a sympathetic smile, nodding your head.
“that’s a little better, i guess.” you walked in silence back to the car, loading your bags back in, and climbing in to start the drive home. it was silent for the entire half hour, the only sounds being the heat coming out of the vents and the music playing lowly through the speakers. it gave you plenty of time to think of ways to distract luca, though. by the time you got back home, adam would still be about two and a half hours away, even longer depending on traffic. but you couldn’t be too obvious about keeping luca off his phone, or he would know something is up.
“you wanna take a nap?” you suggested now. “we can turn on a movie and maybe by the time we wake up, we’ll be feeling a little better about all of this.” luca sniffled.
“i don’t think i’ll feel better but that’s fine.” you lifted your hand from his back, gently running your fingers through his hair.
“luca. this is not your fault,” you reiterated. he was looking right at you when you said it, so you could tell he still didn’t believe you.
“can we watch home alone?” you raised a brow at the request. the movie wasn’t one he had ever asked to watch before. “that’s how i’m feeling right now, but like, backwards.” you scoffed, rolling your eyes slightly.
“how about we watch something that isn’t related so we can get our minds off of it, yeah?” you turned around, grabbing the remote off the coffee table and turning on the tv. your back was now rested against the bottom of the couch as you clicked on the disney icon. a moment later, as the app loaded on the screen, luca’s arm wrapped around your shoulders. he pulled you back slightly, just enough for you to know that he wanted you to join him on the couch.
“lay with me?” he whispered, afraid you hadn’t understood his gesture. you stood, placing the remote on the cushion.
“pick a movie, i’m gonna go grab a blanket.” you made your way down the hall, pulling the big fluffy blanket off of his bed. when you returned, he was scrolling through all of the christmas options. when he heard you coming back, he got up on his knees, giving you the space to lay down under him before he settled against your chest. he pushed play on the good luck charlie christmas movie, then made himself completely comfortable against you as the opening credits rolled.
it didn’t take long for him to fall asleep, a few stray tears still staining his cheeks. you gently wiped them away, pouting slightly at the sight of him. your heart hurt for the boy, knowing he was stressed and blaming himself, despite the storm being totally out of his control. but then you thought about his reaction when adam arrived in a few hours, and a small smile found your lips.
you hadn’t realized you had fallen asleep until the doorbell ringing woke you up. luca was still dead weight on top of you, but his brows furrowed when the bell rang again.
“someone get it,” he mumbled, pushing his head further into your chest.
“we’re the only ones here. you gotta get up.” he huffed, but pulled himself off of you, running a hand over his face and muttering as he walked to the door. you had just enough time to grab your phone and start a video before luca opened the door. he went still for a moment, then rubbed his eyes, as if he didn’t believe what he was seeing.
“you gonna move out of the way so i can come in or-“ adam was cut off by luca surging forward and pulling him into a hug. you could hear adam laughing and you ended the video as you stood from the couch.
“what are you doing here?” luca asked, pulling away enough to analyze his brother and make sure it was actually him. adam nodded toward you as you approached the pair.
“y/n called.” luca looked at you with wide eyes.
“you asked him to come?” you shrugged.
“you can’t be home but you can still be with family.” luca closed the distance between you, hugging you tight and swaying back and forth slightly.
“thank you,” he whispered, then pressed a kiss to your forehead. you heard the door close and looked over to see adam finally inside, taking off his coat and shoes. you glanced over to your luggage, which was still sitting just inside the door where luca had dropped it earlier.
“i’m gonna go unpack and let you two catch up,” you informed them, grabbing the handle of your suitcase. “call your mom, let her know you’re together.” you made your way down the hall to luca’s room with a smile, already hearing the two boys talking excitedly behind you. so you wouldn’t be in canada for christmas, but you would still be somewhere you could call home.

My Captains Sister-Adam Fantilli
Chapter Three
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Lucy continues to see Adam causing a rift between her and Nolan and Nolan and Adam.
Warnings: controlling behavior, toxic behaviors, Nolan being overprotective again, cussing
BEEP BEEP
Lucy groaned as she rolled out of bed to shut off her annoyingly loud alarm, taking a sip of her water from the night before and checking her phone.
*Knock Knock*
Lucy rolls her eyes “What?”. Nolan opens the door fully dressed and sees his little sister still in bed.
“Hurry up and get ready. I’m walking you to class.” Nolan orders
"I'm on a college campus, Nolan. I think I can handle it," Lucy said, rolling her eyes.
“Well I gave you the simple instruction to stay away from Adam and clearly that was like rocket science for you! So I figured we go back to the basics” Nolan told her with a mix of anger and annoyance in his voice
Lucy picks up a pillow from her bed and throws it towards her brother “Get Out!” Nolan puts his hands up defensively backing out of the room. Lucy walks towards her door before slamming it shut.
It was still somewhat early, only a little past ten. Lucy had two classes back to back; economics and English and as much as she hates the two subjects with a passion she would enjoy the break from Nolan.
Lucy rummaged through her closet and picked out a comfortable pair of light washed jeans, a white crop top and a green zip up hoodie. She brushed her teeth, washed her face, and applied a minimal amount of makeup to achieve a natural glow.
She slipped on her white sneakers before grabbing her backpack and phone heading towards the kitchen, where she found Nolan sitting at the counter with a granola bar.
“I’m ready, happy?” Lucy rolled her eyes for what felt like the thousandth time today, filling up her water bottle. A grin appeared on Nolans face “I’m ecstatic, let's get going”
They walked to Lucy’s class in silence. Both siblings were clearly annoyed at one another. When they arrived at the steps of her building, Nolan turned to her “I’ll meet you back here after your classes, don’t do anything stupid” he warns
Again Lucy rolls her eyes but promises. Nolan nods and watches as Lucy enters the building before heading off in his own direction.
Lucy’s phone started to ring as soon as she settled into her seat. It was Adam, asking if she was busy. Butterflies started forming in Lucy’s stomach. Missing one day of class wouldn’t kill her. She convinced herself before she grabbed her back and hurried out of the classroom.
Lucy’s classes were each an hour and a half, meaning she had roughly three hours to hang out with Adam before she had to meet Nolan.
They spent the next few hours exploring a few local shops close to campus and grabbing a quick bite to eat. Lucy started to feel a sense of freedom and happiness she hadn’t felt in a long time.
With only ten minutes left to spare they made their way back to the entrance of Adam’s dorm building.
“I wish you didn’t have to go” Adam tells her wrapping his arms around her waist
“Trust me I would much rather spend time with you then go back to the hellhole I call home” Lucy told him placing a kiss on his lips “But I can’t risk getting in trouble again”
Adam sighs, kissing her one more time before letting go.
As Lucy walked away, she glanced back at Adam one last time before turning the corner. She picked up her pace realizing she was running late. She found the back entrance of the building and made her way to the front, finding Nolan waiting impatiently.
“Where have you been?” He asked as she approached him “Sorry I had to talk to my teacher about the homework” Lucy said, out of breath.
Nolan had a skeptical expression on his face but shook it off. “Alright I have practice tonight, I made grilled chicken and some pasta for dinner. Make sure you get all your homework done” Nolan tells her as they walk home.
Lucy nods and tells him she will.
Lucy woke up to another day of classes, but the thought of spending the day with Adam was too exciting to resist. She made the impulsive decision to skip class and meet Adam at a nearby park instead.
As she walked towards him, she felt a sense of freedom and excitement. Adam was sitting on a bench, scrolling through his phone, but as soon as he saw her, he stood up and pulled her into a kiss.
"Good morning, beautiful," he said, holding her hand.
Lucy felt herself blushing and smiled at him. They spent the day exploring the park and talking about their families and interests, feeling completely at ease with each other. Even though they only had a few hours together Lucy was more than grateful to have a chance to see him.
A few days had passed since Lucy began skipping her classes to spend time with Adam. While she didn’t regret the time they got to see each other it had begun to affect her school work.
Meanwhile, the tension between Nolan and Adam had continued to build for some time, but it finally reached a boiling point during practice. They were both playing on the same line and kept getting in each other's way, leading to missed opportunities and frustration.
"Get out of my way, Fantilli," Nolan growled.
"Why don't you try passing the puck, Moyle," Adam shot back.
The two began arguing, their voices getting louder and louder until Coach Naurato blew his whistle. "That's enough, boys! Five laps each."
Adam and Nolan glared at each other as they skated off, neither wanting to break eye contact. They skated around the rink, their breaths becoming heavy as the laps continued. The other players were watching them with curiosity, wondering what the argument was about.
Once they finished their laps, Coach Naurato sent them to the locker room for the remainder of practice. The pair changed out of their gear in silence, sending glares to one another when Nolan’s phone began to ring. It was his parents.
Nolan quickly answers the phone holding it up to his ear. Nolan can tell by the tone of their voice they are upset about something. "Lucy's grades are dropping. We think she's been skipping class," they said.
Nolan was furious.
Their parents had always held education to the highest standard mainly because they were not given the same opportunities to be able to attend good universities or study abroad, they worked incredibly hard to be able to give Nolan and Lucy those opportunities and encourage their kids to take advantage of them.
Nolan assumed Adam had some part in this but before he had a chance to confront him, the rest of their team began piling into the locker room.
Nolan keeps his cool when Coach Naurato pulls the two of them into the hallway.
Coach Naurato informs them that they would be staying late to do some hockey chores as punishment for their behavior during practice. They were instructed to clean the locker room, wipe down all the surfaces and refill the water jugs.
Both boys sigh neither one really thrilled to be doing chores.
Finally after what felt like multiple hours Nolan and Adam were dismissed by their coach. The two gather their things and head in their separate directions.
Back in their dorm room Luca sat, staring blankly at his laptop screen, when Adam walked in and practically collapsed on his respective bed. "Can I ask you something?" Luca said, breaking the silence.
Adam looked up. "Yeah, sure."
"Is Lucy really worth all of these problems? I mean, you and Nolan are fighting so much, everyone sees it, you have to sneak around to see her, she’s messing up her relationship with her brother?"
Adam sighed. "I don't know, Luca. I really don't. But I can't help how I feel about her."
Luca pushed him. "Come on, man. You know she's not worth all of this drama. You're risking a lot for her."
Adam felt his anger rising. "Don't tell me how to feel, Luca. You don't know anything about what's going on between Lucy and me."
Luca held up his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry. I just want what's best for you."
Adam took a deep breath and apologized for yelling. "I know you do. And I appreciate it. But I just can't help how I feel. I think she loves me, Luca."
Luca sighed and put a hand on Adam's shoulder. "Then I guess it is worth it. Just be careful, okay? I don't want to see you get hurt."
Adam nodded, grateful for his brother's support. They sat in silence for a few minutes, lost in their own thoughts, before Adam clears his throat and looks at Luca who gives him a questioning look “Um, just thanks man” Adam says
Luca stands up from his desk and makes his way over to Adam wrapping an arm around him and giving him a hug “Anytime buddy”
Meanwhile Nolan had arrived home to find Lucy asleep on the couch, he sighed knowing their discussion would have to be postponed.

sleeping with the devil | A Fantilli
Tumblr media
summary: adam’s dancing with the devil after his girlfriends death
warnings: death, drunk driving, car crash, no real ending.
-
Adam can still remember everything that happened that night, he remembers the screaming, crying, the lights in the hospital.
Luca remembers watching through the window of the hospital room as his parents told his brother the news, him screaming in denial. He was ripping the breathing tubes from his nose and trying desperately to claw his way past his parents to get to you.
Luca remembers holding Adam every night when he’d wake up screaming from the nightmare of reliving that night over and over again.
The only time he was ever at peace was when he was asleep and still then he had to watch you die all over again, the blood dripping down your forehead, your skin so pale. He wanted to just reach out and hold you, but he couldn’t because what came next was the replay of that drunk driver smashing into the passenger side of his car, your body being thrown out the windshield.
He never thought he would go to your funeral, constantly saying he didn’t want to go. His parents and friends tried to change his mind but he wouldn’t budge.
On the morning of the funeral Luca got ready in his suit before walking into Adam’s room, to attempt to convince him.
Instead he walked in on his brother, sobbing into your hoodie.
The sobs were gut wrenching. Much like when a little kid is hurt.
His baby brother was hurt.
Adam was startled when Luca’s hand landed on his back “hey bud… it’s time to go”
Throughout the entire service Adam held his mom’s hand and listened to everyone tell stories about you.
He liked listening to them but he knew nobody in this world could tell stories that would compare to his.
You were his best friend and the stories you shared, they would make Oscar winning movies.
You would always be his star.
After the funeral your parents spotted him and immediately wanted to talk.
“Adam!”
“Oh hi, sorry I haven’t been-“
Your mom cut him off with a hug “It’s been hard for everyone but we know you’ve been struggling. We just miss you”
That night he went back to your house for the first time since the accident and had dinner with your parents. It hurt him so bad but he knew your parents needed it to heal so he put on a brave face.
The first year was weird for Adam.
When your birthday came around, he bought and wrapped a lot of gifts. They were never opened and everyone was a little concerned for him but they let him be, just happy he was ok.
He wasn’t ok.
On your anniversary, he took himself to eat at your favourite pizza place together in Ann Arbor. It was the first time he’d been in since you passed. The guy behind the counter looked at Adam sadly before saying “I’m so sorry about your girl”
He smiled softly before taking his pizza and sitting at your table. He set out a paper plate on your side and even got a bottle of the juice you liked.
“Six years we’ve been dating huh?” He mumbles, biting into the slice.
“Love You so much baby, I miss you”
As the year went on people were less worried, he began socializing more and he was becoming Adam again.
When the draft rolled around his family knew it would be hard.
Luca prayed that the projections were right and that Anaheim would take him. So he could be as far away from here as possible.
That wasn’t the case when he was drafted by Columbus. Walking onto that stage he shook everyone’s hand before looking at the camera and opening his suit jacket to show your name largely embroidered by his heart.
At home, your parents watched on wearing their Fantilli jerseys and crying when they saw his jacket.
Holding one another infront of the tv your dad mumbled “He’s the best kid”
And when he had finished all of his interviews Adam found a text on his phone from your mom
she would be so proud of you adam. Congratulations sweetheart, you’ve made us all so proud!
he replied
thanks mom! love you guys
mom. that was the first time anyone had called her mom since the accident. she held onto that text and looked at it everyday.
Adam’s parents and Luca were concerned about him moving to Columbus.
“Adam just stay in Michigan! Stay with me another year”
Adam sighed and shook his head “No, I want to go and I want to get away with a fresh start”
“But-“
“I can’t be reminded of her in everything I do anymore! I want to go out and not have to avoid eating somewhere because she’s there in my memories” he cried out.
“Adam you need to adapt at some point”
Adam’s head swings around to face his brother, angry tears lining his eyes “I’ll never be able to ‘adapt’ Luca! She’s gone! Dead! I was driving the car-“
“You didn’t kill her!” He shouted back. Part of him wanted to stop the other half knew Adam hadn’t spoken about it and that he needed to get it out.
“I was driving the car!” He screamed, standing up and looking over his big brother “I could’ve saved her!”
“Adam nothing was going to save her” he hand rested on Adam’s arm “there’s only one person to blame and it was the drunk driver in the other car”
Luca stared at Adam’s shaking shoulders as he sobbed silently before he said “The last thing I told her was ‘you’re gonna be ok’ — I lied to her”
Luca leaned forward and grabbed his brother into his hold, squeezing him tight
“It’s gonna be ok”
“I should’ve protected her”
It didn’t take long for Nick to take Adam under his wing in Columbus. It made Luca feel better even if Nick was never his captain the boys had no bad things to say about the Blankenburg boy.
Luca was just happy he’d be looked after.
Adam met Paige at a party, Nick’s birthday party. She was a friend of a friend and they hit it off really well.
Adam wasn’t looking for a relationship and he didn’t tell anybody about Paige but he was enjoying himself, finally feeling free again.
Luca noticed his brothers happier tune over the phone and even asked Nick and Kent what was going on to which they claimed to have no idea.
Adam kept Paige private for a while, hanging out and going to dinner a few times a week. She was nice and they got along really well.
She was pretty, she was gorgeous actually and Adam felt weird about his feelings. He questioned them for a while before he eventually made a move on her in his apartment.
His body was relieved of a lot of anxiety after that, like all of his pent up emotions had just disappeared. Paige felt like a safe place for Adam. She didn’t judge him or ask questions she was just there for him.
Adam didn’t keep pictures of you guys in his new apartment or really any of your stuff with him, all of it resided in his parents house. So Paige never saw you, she didn’t know about you she just though Adam was some hockey player who liked being alone.
The were seeing each other for about six months before Adam made it official, asking her to be his girlfriend.
He’d slowly started mentioning her to his family and friends. The boys immediately calling Nick and Kent for information on the girl.
Kent didn’t like her, he said there was something off but Nick told him to play nice.
Adam took Paige to Ann Arbor to see the team play one weekend and to finally introduce her to his brother and his parents who had flown in to see Luca too. The meeting was fine, as Luca had described it but they weren’t overly eager to meet Paige.
Lately, Adam seemed caught up in hockey and his girlfriend too much so to notice what was going on around him.
That’s why it came as a shock to him when his big brother called him screaming down the phone.
“You didn’t call today? You couldn’t spare five minutes?”
“What are you talking about? What-“
Luca wants to laugh “Are you serious right now? You don’t know what today is?”
Adam scrunches his brows together “No? Should I?”
“You’re fucking with me right? You’re actually kidding me”
There was silence on the phone, both ends, before Luca said “It’s ok Adam I’ll go put flowers on her grave don’t you worry. You just enjoy your little girlfriend I’ll take care of y/n”
Adam’s breath hitched before he looked down at his phone and the date, it was the anniversary of your death.
“Luca I didn’t-“
“You know what Adam? I want you to be happy, I do! But she doesn’t deserve to be forgotten”
She stumbles “I didn’t forget!”
“Oh yeah? When have you visited? Her birthday, Christmas, your anniversary… none of it. You were too busy with her” he spat.
“Hey leave Paige out of this she didn’t do anything!”
“Whatever man, I’ll see you in the off season or whatever”
Adam was hurt. He was hurt because he had forgotten this day, it was too late to call your parents now and he was hurt his brother would dismiss him like that.
He soon shook it off and acted like nothing happened when Paige came over to stay the night.
When the Blue Jackets season eventually finished, Adam had invited Paige to come to Toronto and meet his family and friends from home.
Luca wasn’t too impressed with the idea, opting to stay in Michigan for as long as he could before headed back. He had to go back near the middle of the summer, it was your birthday party.
Every year your parents threw a massive party and they continued the tradition even after your passing instead using it as a space to gather your closest friends and family to celebrate your life.
Your mom and dad had invited all the boys from Michigan as they were some of your closest friends so Luca wasn’t alone with Adam and his new girlfriend.
Adam’s mom and dad weren’t best pleased he insisted on bringing Paige to the party
“It’s a bit disrespectful, Adam!”
“Her parents want me to be happy”
“Yes but they don’t need you flaunting your new girlfriend in their faces and on her birthday party no less”
They lost that argument with Adam not caring and taking her anyway. Paige got lost in the crowds that showed up for your party anyway, your parents didn’t really notice her.
The boys did, however and they weren’t best pleased.
“Who does she think she is?! This is y/n’s birthday!”
As the night drew in and people started to leave, a lot of guests began migrating towards the house. Which is where Adam and Paige were, in the living room trying to get warm.
Paige noticed a picture of Adam on the mantle, walking up to it and holding it in her hand “Why do they have a picture of you in here?”
Adam looked at the picture, from his draft. They were so proud.
“Oh they were really proud of me in my draft, I’ve played hockey here since I was a kid”
Paige’s face scrunched up “still it’s a bit weird your neighbour having a picture of you on their mantle”
Adam frowned “Not really, their daughter was my best friend”
best friend. ouch.
“Their daughter… this is her party right?” He hummed in response “What happened to her?”
Adam gulped and froze for a moment, he hadn’t thought about that night much lately.
“She was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver, underage too when we were in Michigan. I was in the car” he explained. He noticed an immediate uncomfortable shift in Paige’s posture after he said that.
He watched her eyes scan along the mantle some more before she stopped on the last picture, it was you both on the day you moved into your dorm at Michigan.
You were beaming so much and Adam was just happy you were happy. Kitted out in your athletics kit.
“Is this her?” Paige asked, looking at the picture with a slight shake in her voice.
“Yeah that’s Y/N” he said “Are you Ok?”
Paige put down the frame and turned to Adam “I have to tell you something”
He looked worried “What’s up, you’re scaring me”
Paige fidgeted with her fingers before she said to Adam in a whisper “It was me”
“What?”
She shook her head as if she was trying to stop herself “I was the drunk driver” she pointed to the picture of you both “That’s the girl, I killed her”
Adam’s breath got stuck in his throat and he couldn’t speak, he felt like he was drowning in his own body.
It all came back to him then, your screams, the car flipping, the scratching off the road, your sobs, crying out for help and the blood on your face as you looked at him as the life slowly left your body.
“Adam I’m so sorry! I didn’t know! You’ve never said anything about her and you don’t have pictures I didn’t even know her name they just showed me a picture” she cried, desperate for him to say something.
People had started coming in after hearing the commotion
“Whats going on?”
Adam had tears running down his face as he pulled at his hair and looked at her “Paige killed y/n”
“I didn’t know!” She screamed, everyone looked a little alarmed.
Adam’s parents sprung into action and took Paige out of the house with a simple “I think we step outside”
Johnny had turned to your parents and suggested some air “hey guys, how about we head out back again”
Leaving the boys all staring at Adam’s distraught figure in the middle of the room.
The stared for a moment before Luca approached his brother and said
“Nice job protecting her Adam, I’m sure she’s so proud”
Adam sobbed even harder, trying to hard to comprehend all of this.
“I’m sorry!” He yelled out, to nobody in particular as they’d all left him alone now. He was on his knees in tears looking at the picture of you on the mantle and he whispered
“I should’ve protected you, I didn’t protect you”

Tumblr media
“sour truth”
luke hughes x fantilli!sister
tw: car accident, not proof read, and i hate this so tw for a shitty story!
🦋 BORDYSBAE’S 500 CELLY!
— ୨୧ —
the sirens blaring through the michigan campus sent nearly everyone into alert.
you were on your way to luke’s dorm when a car slid on ice and crashed into you. the car hit your’s on the drivers side, and pushed it nearly 15 feet away from where it was impacted. you were knocked unconscious and bloodied up, and immediately rushed to the hospital. your twin, adam, received the phone call and headed to the hospital as soon as possible with luca, luke, johnny, and nolan for support.
as they all sit in the room, adam couldn’t help but notice luke being oddly worried for someone who’s ‘just your friend.’ “luke, are you okay? you seem oddly worried,” adam whispers to the boy next to him.
he quickly snaps out of his thoughts, “what? yeah i’m fine. are you okay?”
“uh yeah, i’m alright. you just seem a bit overly worried,” adam chuckles. he’s clearly very distressed seeing his twin sister in this condition, but he’s trying to cover it up. immediately luke’s eyes widen and fear sets in that he’s been caught.
“what? i cant be worried for y/n?!” luke defensively snaps, drawing the attention of everyone else in the room.
“luke chill, i just didn’t know you and y/n were that close. you’re really worried and i was concerned. look man, now’s really not a good time to pick a fight,” adam gently states.
“yeah well i’m fucking worried cause she’s my girlfriend adam!“ luke loudly exclaims while rising from his chair. his hands are now tugging at his brown curls and his heart is racing.
“she’s your what?”
“my girlfriend, adam. we wanted to tell you, but we didn’t want you to freak out. fuck, adam, this is all my fault! she was on her way to my place and got in a crash, what if i went to her’s instead? it should’ve been me in that stupid fucking accident!” luke nervously shouts.
immediately adam stands up and looks at luke, “luke, don’t say that. first of all, yeah one of my best friends dating my sister is gonna make me a little mad, but i can see how much you care for her. you wouldn’t be here like this if you didn’t. second of all, it shouldn’t have been anyone in that accident. it’s called an accident for a reason,” he says. adam then tugs the distressed boy into a tight hug.
luke practically melts into his touch as he looks over adam’s shoulder at you. your eyes are slowly fluttering open, and everyone’s worries immediately drop. the boys rush to the hospital bedside and try to get the attention of a nurse. as you give them all a smile, a heavy weight is lifted off luke’s chest.
“i love you, so so much y/n. i’m so happy you’re okay,” luke days before kissing you. as you pull back you gently smack luke’s arm, “dude! now everyone knows our secret!”
“we already know the sour truth, y/n,” adam chuckles. your mouth falls, “sour truth? you mean the sweet truth?! i think me and luke make a great couple.”
“yeah sure, whatever you say kid,” luca chimes in, sending everyone into a fit of laughter, but not before you grab your ribs in pain. “holy fuck, did i break my ribs?” you ask with a little chuckle, making everyone else laugh once again.

The big (preseason) game—
Request: Sunny going to Adam's first game with the boys. When Luca posted it on his story. She surprised him. Adam got super excited when he saw her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Au Masterlist!!
It started with a simple phone call, "Ohio preseason starts this week," Luca said, Sunny could practically hear the smile on his face as he scrolled through his laptop for tickets. "Gavo and I are thinking about going, I'm driving, He knows we will be there, but maybe wanna come with and surprise Adam?" his grin grew as the question rolled off his tongue. "Of course, I wanna go," she grinned widely. "I'll send you the details once I figure them out."
That's how she ended up contently in the passenger seat of Luca's car, Gavin and Rutger crammed in the back seat due to Luca's adamant tone that the girl would be sat up front with him.
She couldn’t wipe the smirk off of her face as they got on the road, the entirety of the trip was spent with the boys loudly arguing over where they wanted to stop for lunch or the music that Luca played as she jotted down some notes in her book for her upcoming marketing midterm.
"You excited to see your brother?" The girl asked as she looked at the blonde. "I am, it's been weird without him for sure," he shrugged, his eyes stuck to the road as the girl looked up at him, "it's stupid," how words came out mumbled. "It's not stupid, I miss him too, he's one of my favourite people," she said as her hand reached out to reassuringly squeeze his arm, "he's your best friend, it's normal to feel sad that he's gone."
Luca hummed in appreciation as he looked over to see her staring out the window at the rain that ran down the glass, "how are you doing without Luke?" Luca asked as she shrugged and looked back at him. "I miss him a lot," her bottom lip wobbled as she stared down at her hands that lay clasped in her lap. Her brothers were always a sensitive topic for her, they were her partners in crime and biggest supporters, it sucked that she lived such a distant life from all of them now, but she was proud of the nonetheless. "I can't hold him back just cause I'm sad, he needs to be there with Jack, it's his dream," her eyes began to water as her hands wiped away and remnants of her little breakdown.
Luca nodded as he reached out to grab her hand, "Well if it makes you feel any better, you're stuck with me for the next three years," she laughed as she looked at him and his cheesy grin. "Thanks, Lu," she said as she looked at the big "Welcome to Ohio" sign on the side of the road as they continued driving on the highway.
ꕥꕥꕥ
After the rest of the drive, a little dinner, and a quick stop at the Bluejackets merchandise stand for some jerseys Sunny sat on the edge of her seat the entire night, the Blue Jackets and the Penguins were neck and neck the entire game and ended up going into overtime. Her hands were balled into tight fists as the Blue Jackets gained possession of the puck, a few passes later, the puck was in the back of Pittsburg's nets causing Sunny and Gavin to jump to their feet, hugging and screaming at the team piled into a hug.
"Let's go down and wait for him," Luca said taping the girl on the shoulder as she smiled and nodded, heading down to the spot where Adam told the group to wait.
Adam was one of the first ones out of the locker room, a grin on his face, adamant to see his older brother and friends as he searched the visitor's hall for familiar faces. His eyes caught a glimpse of Sunny, clad in his jersey, the big Fantilli patch and the number eleven stitched on the back made his grin even wider, and to top it all off he got sight of the addictive smile on her face as Gavin introduced her to some of the boys who we had met during rookie camp.
The boy walked up to the group and wrapped his arms around her, placing a kiss on her jaw as she gasped at the surprise contact. "You didn't tell me you were coming to watch," he mumbled into her neck as she turned around to hug him fully, "Wanted to surprise you," she said as she buried her face in his chest, "you played really well, I'm proud."
She pulled away momentarily to peck him on the lips, but one kiss simply wasn't enough for the centerman, his hands cupped her cheeks as he deepened the kiss causing Rutger to let out a groan of disgust. "I for one didn't miss that," Rutger grimaced as Luca nudged him in the side. "Let them be in love, it's cute," he shrugged gaining a glare from Rut.
Sunny tapped his shoulder to get Adams's attention, motioning towards his brother who was patiently waiting his turn to hug his brother. To which Adam pecked her once more on the lips and then pulled away to see his brother and best friends who all hugged him while congratulating him on his win and two assists.
"Are you guys staying the night, or heading back to Mich soon?" he asked as he found his way back to Sunny's side, tucking her under his arm as she leaned up against his frame. "We got a hotel for the night," Luca shrugged, "thought you could show us around a bit," he grinned as Adam nodded and looked down at the girl who stared lovingly up at him. "I got my own room," she winked making Adam's cheeks turn pink, a fake gag left Rutger's lips as he shook his head and looked away from the loving couple.
Adam pulled her back into his chest, "I missed you," he said into the crown of her head as Gavin and Luca continued their conversations with some of the younger guys on the team. "I missed you too, but we have the next day to make up for time," she whispered as he kissed her hairline. "I think we should go check out that hotel room you were talking about," he said smugly, she could feel the smirk against the crown of her head as she nodded and placed a kiss on the knuckle of his hand.

PLEASE make a part 2 of rutger and fantilli sister!
part 1 to this imagine is here!
It's been a week since Luca and Adam found out about you and Rutger, and you have not spoken to Luca since. Adam came around after a few days and you guys talked it out. Adam has always been easier on you, Luca has always been the overbearing, overly protective brother.
Adam knocked on your dorm room door to be met with your tear stained face and puffy eyes a couple days after the incident. He immediately hugged you and let you explain your side of the story. He understood your feelings for Rutger and why you both hid it from him and Luca. He knew neither of them necessarily made it easy for you guys to tell them.
He also talked to Rutger and worked it out. Things with Adam were fine, Luca on the other hand, not so much. If there was one person who could hold a grudge, it was Luca.
He had not spoken to you or Rutger since it happened. Even at hockey practice, he wouldn't even spare Rutger a glance. Rutger had tried to talk to him, but Luca only shoved him out of his way. You understood Luca being mad for you guys going behind his back, but he was being ridiculous. There's only so long you can go without talking to your sister and best friend.
After days of watching you mope around about your brother, Rutger decided you both needed to go see Luca and force him to talk. If you didn't, nothing would ever get resolved.
"Ready?" Rutger asked you as you both stood outside Luca and Adams dorm room.
"I guess so." You said and shrugged as Rutger knocked on the door.
Thankfully, Adam answered.
"Come on in." He said, and moved aside so you guys could walk in.
As soon as Luca saw who was entering his room, he was off his bed and on his feet.
"No way, get out." He immediately said.
"Luca, enough. Let them talk. They deserve a chance to explain, and you need to grow up and listen. I'm going to Johnnys while you guys hash this out." Adam said and exited the room, leaving you and Rutger alone with Luca.
Sometimes (a lot of the time) Adam really acted more like the oldest brother than Luca did.
No words were spoken for a few moments as Luca just stood and glared at you two.
"Talk." He finally said, breaking the silence.
Rutger took a deep breath before initiating the conversation. "Look, I'm just going to say how I feel Lu. I am sorry for going behind your back and not telling you about being with your sister. I understand you being mad about that, I get it. But I will not apologize for my feelings for her or for being with her. It's not fair for you to gate keep your sister and control her just because you're her older brother and feel the need to control her."
"WOAH, BACK UP! I am NOT controlling over my sister, I am protective and care about her." Luca defended
"There's a difference between being controlling and being protective. Being protective would be talking to the guys she goes out with before she goes out with them to make sure their intentions are good. Controlling is not letting her make her own decisions for who she goes out with and stopping her from seeing certain people. You are controlling." Rutger shot back.
"And if you really cared, you would be happy that she's with who she wants to be with. Y/n is a big girl, she's more than capable of making decisions on who she wants to date and whether or not they're good for her. It's not up to you, it's up to her."
The room fell silent yet again. You thought Luca would turn this into a screaming match after what Rutger had said, but not even Luca could deny that he was right.
It was then that Luca turned his attention from Rutger to you.
"Does he make you happy?" He asked you in a calm tone.
You vigorously nodded your head yes as you moved closer to Rutger and slipped your hand in his.
"And he's good to you?"
You nodded once again, then looked up to Rutger and smiled.
"The best that I could ask for." You said, causing Rutger to smile as well.
You turned your attention from your boyfriend back to your brother. "Lu, I'm sorry we went behind your back. I never wanted to, but you really left me no choice."
Luca looked down at your confession. "I know. I'm sorry you feel like you can't tell me things, that's not how you should feel about your older brother."
You released Rutgers hand and walked over to embrace Luca in a hug.
"I love you for wanting the best for me, and I know you do. But I am capable of making these decisions for myself. I'm never going to learn to be independent if you don't let me." You said as you held your brother tightly.
"I know." Luca said just above a whisper.
You two released from the hug and smiled at each other.
"You will always be my baby sister though, and I will talk to every guy you go out with still, I hope you know that." Luca said.
You laughed and shook your head. "I know Lu, and I expect nothing less."
Luca looked up from you and at Rutger before walking over to him.
"I guess if there's anyone who I'd want dating my little sister, it would be you." He said as he nudged Rutgers shoulder.
"I'll take care of her, I promise." Rutger said as you went to stand beside him, wrapping your arms around his waist.
"You better, or you seriously are dead to me McGroarty." Luca said, a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
"So, we're all good?" You asked, as you released one of your arms from around your boyfriend and opened it up to your brother.
Luca thought for a moment before he responded. "I suppose." He said before accepting your embrace into a group hug.
"Could've been worse, she could've went out with Johnny." Rutger said as the three of you released.
"Now THAT I would not let slide. NO WAY. Johnny Druskinis would not be allowed around any of my sisters." Luca said as you and Rutger laughed.
While it took some time for Luca to fully come around and accept you and Rutgers relationship, he eventually settled into the idea. He and Rutger went back to being best friends, and you were the happiest you had ever been with the boy you adored.
