So while I’m not a big fan of how Ace joined the Whitebeard Pirates, this idea is a wayyyyy more comedic take and how Ace either joins the Whitebeard Pirates or becomes allies with them (depending on who wants to direct it).

During Ace’s assassination days Garp manages to find them. It goes as you expect, Ace fears when he learns Garp is making his way over, the Whitebeard Pirates are understandable to his fear because well… it’s Garp. Then comes the shock that they know each other. And then comes the “shitty old man!” “Call me Gramps!” Which floors everyone. And then, and then, Ace, in a moment of blinded rebellion, calls Whitebeard “Gramps”. And well, I’m sure you can imagine how it would go after that.
