Hey i was wondering if you have some insight into this, do you think the french "bashing" that is common to see nowadays on social media sites from individuals, as just as it can be in its critique or no, is just a logical follow up to the antifrench sentiment of the 2000s' and no more than that? Because you rarely see as often that knee-jerk reaction for Dutch, Belgian or Spanish past imperialism and general influence in other countries

i am not plugged in enough to this current bout of woke ethnic hatred to speak definitively but i suspect it has less to do with 90's/00's nationalist hostility over perceived defection from neoliberal antiwelfarism and international cooperation in the war on terror, and more to do with france currently leading in truly horrific racist/anti-immigrant fervour and policy in europe
