So, this newly released page implies that Amy, despite knowing about Surge and Kit from Sonic, decided to take them in regardless of Sonic warning her about them.

... I'm not gonna say anything else, this is just moronic.

Amy didn't act kind to Gamma until he showed hesitation, and outright gave Amy a chance to escape. As far as I can tell, Surge and Kit haven't done anything to convince Amy of their changed allegiences, and Amy's just going through with it? Amy's not this naive.

As someone who loves video games and understands how unique they are as a medium, I will never understand why do many people turn their noses up at them. It's been 30-40 years since they were first introduced, and yet some people still act like they aren't art, or can tell a story as good as a book.

Even those that come in to 'adapt' the stories of the games still act like assholes about the source material, acting like it's inferior to whatever medium they adapted it to. Hell, the DmC: Reboot was just shitting on the original, saying that DMC in general was inferior to their product, and look where that got them. The fact it was salvaged by the current producer/programmer for DMC doesn't make the game less mediocre.

Some people need to respect the industry more.

Yes, because unlike the anons that have been harrassing me about my love of Amy Rose and wanted to get me to stop liking her, I can differentiate what's a 'comedy moment', and Amy actually getting respect.

It'd be the same answer if the anon said 'So (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Cream, Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Big, and just about any other character in the franchise here) literally did the most basic shit, and you think that deserves respect?'. Because that basically sums up how they view the games.

I'm not gonna say anymore on this, but it'll be the last time I respond to something like this. Just wanted to scratch that itch.

People seriously latch onto Sonic's actual anniversary length and pretend it's SatAM's, when the latter only lasted one year and three months of runtime.

Honestly, it took a bit of thinking for me to get rid of that post about Kishimoto talking about Flynn's writing. Part of feels digging against the Western writers for one barely-good writer in the West doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and I feel there's just as many good writers in English as there are in Japanese.

I am honestly one of the many people who would advocate for Sonia and Manic to get into the games, even if they lose the trait of being Sonic's siblings. I feel they got unique enough movesets, even without the magical instruments from medallions, that would make them on par with Advance Amy or Knuckles in terms of speed. If we were to assume that Sonia was at least Knuckles' speed and Manic was around Advance Amy's speed, they'd have options to make them more viable:

Sonia's already got a Crash Bandicoot style movement option that she sometimes uses as a main attack.

On top of this, she's been stated and shown to have acrobatics and some martial arts under her belt, as well as super strength that, while used as a gag half the time, makes her almost on par with Knuckles though she's never thrown a punch.

Manic has a projectile in the form of his drumsticks, which would allow him to hit far away enemies that might ambush a player.

On top of this, I can see Manic being much more likely to use alternate routes to account for his slower speed, as well as having more interesting ways to fight bosses with his more average skillset.

Both Sonia and Manic aren't shown to ball up in the show like Sonic does, which implies to me that they would jump like Amy does in Adventure/Advance.

All in all, I can see Manic and Sonia in the games out of all the non-Sonic Team seen shows, and I feel if reworked more to make it less unfair for the player with Manic at least, they would be fun additions to the franchise.

People really like lying on the internet, don't they?

SatAM is one of the most talked about Sonic Spinoffs of any Non-Canon Sonic product. Like, seriously, guys. You can't walk into a Sonic discussion without someone asking about Sally Acorn or Archie Sonic because they heard that was 'canon' from one of the SatAM fanatics out there.

Meanwhile, the truely 'least recognized' Sonic Spinoff - the Sonic 1992 manga, aka the one where Sonic is the alter ego of a normal hedgehog boy - is giving this whole thread the middle finger and wishing it was more talked about since it was where characters like Amy and Charmy got their starts.

Interesting. They're not immediately making the cover Digimon (Pteromon and Shoemon) be with Shoto and Arisa at first. Usually, the first episode (or in this case, the prologue/Episode 00) are usually the ones they're shown with in the concept art. Seems that they want to try something different.

I don't know what it is about me, but I find myself going back to the Forces soundtrack more often than naught, over the Frontiers soundtrack.

I guess it's because Forces feels better as Sonic music? It emulates more of the Sonic vibe I want? IDK.
