There’s a thing going on among some mutuals here that reminded me why I thought of NM adopting PaperJam in the first place as potential for a sequel.

The Dadmare/Dreamdad kids having mock tentacles XD

See when I first started writing Suspect, I KNEW it had to be something with Nightmare. There was too much potential with him at the end of CKtE to not too, too much about his character that went unsaid that I wanted to share SO BADLY

PaperJam was another character I knew had a lot of potential for the sequel, as I threw him in literally right at the end. But I hadn’t thought of combined them until I was scrolling through @7goodangel’s blog and found out that PaperJam keeps his spare/extra ink in a tail. And!!! This scene popped into my head. I decided to draw it recently due to the little thing going on with sharing the Dadmare AUs:

Basically, instead of a tail, he’d form tendrils because of Nightmare’s influence.

When he’s little he absolutely cannot keep them for longer than a minute or two, much less do anything with them like Nightmare can- but he absolutely starts doing it to get a reaction out of Nightmare and the Gayng, as well as Blue. He gets a lot of positive attention from it and he soaks it up soooooo much.

When he’s older they definitely only appear when he has extra ink, but they do appear like that because that’s his reference

But… yeah, anyway.

TLDR; This was the thought that finally pushed me to have Nightmare adopt PaperJam and start writing Suspect and the Dadmares/Dreamdad all interacting among my mutuals reminded me of it so I decided to draw and share it lol
