a little touch I love in fallout new vegas is that your intelligence stat has an effect on certain pieces of dialogue. everyone knows that you can be basically a toddler when talking to ignacio at helios one. but I’m talking subtle.

when talking to chet in goodsprings you can inquire about surplus ammo, the tutorial for ammo switching. the text prompt for that is “what makes the surplus ammo not as good?” for characters of fairly moderate intelligence, but for high int builds you instead ask “what makes the surplus ammo inferior?”

that single change in dialogue automatically makes new vegas better, more detailed, more lovingly crafted, than every single soulles pile of garbage bethesda released. skyrim would never.
