I saw this on event cinemas website and I instantly went "pass". I saw the trailer for Dream Horse today and oh man, no point seeing the movie when the trailer shows everything. Obviously with a movie titled like this and a poster looking like that, you can guarantee that even with the "oh no,our dreams are failing" moment that will no doubtly happen, it will feel forced to sit through. Went to see this with my mom because she really enjoys horse movies for some reason. I don’t know why, we’re not a horse family. I mean, don’t get me wrong they’re beautiful creatures and everything and this film definitely has a lot of pretty shots of them, I just feel like most horse movies are more or less the same. Toni Collette does bring a lot more gravitas to the table than these types movies usually have, she easily could have phoned this in, but she’s obviously not going to do that. She’s amazing. The gentleman who played the town drunk was great too. This is a feel good movie, standard based on a true story stuff. You’ll smile throughout and maybe laugh a little. It’s a solid crowd pleasing movie that ends with a strange karaoke rendition of Tom Jones’ “Delilah” by the entire cast, because why wouldn’t you end your wholesome family horse movie with a song about a guy who murdered his wife? 7.3/10. #DreamHorse #DreamHorseMovie #MovieReview https://www.instagram.com/p/CPPybv0AbWn/?utm_medium=tumblr
