Oh, you mean how Thorin is PB because he's solid and safe. His flavor shines through, but it's not the main attraction it doesn't need to be. It's there to add strength and substance. A PB sandwich can't stand alone. It's lacking something. It's incomplete, like Thorin without Bilbo. Bilbo is flavor; he's whimsy. He's not the safe or the filling option, but without him, the sandwich doesn't thrive it only survives. He's not as singly focused as Thorin and comes in many flavors. But just jelly as a sandwich will leave you wanting more. It will leave you still hungry and wishing there was something stronger to hold it together.
