Born and residing in Paris, Gérard Uféras embarked on his photographic journey in 1984 through a collaboration with the French daily, Libération, marking the beginning of numerous captivating reportages and his debut exhibition.
In addition to his photojournalistic endeavors, Uféras has also delved into portrait photography, advertising campaigns, and fashion shoots, all while pursuing personal projects that have led to exhibitions worldwide.
His remarkable body of work has garnered numerous accolades and is featured in prestigious collections across the globe, including the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris and the National Gallery in London.
Renowned for his access to exclusive realms such as the Bolchoi Theatre, Uféras’s photographs transport viewers into captivating narratives that stir emotions and inspire dreams, each frame a testament to his remarkable talent and unique perspective.
