aventurine never made it obvious that he’s clingy.

he doesn’t want to be vocal about these things—he wants you to know right away that he wants your affection. a hand to your waist as it gently rubs your hipbone, him burying his face in the crook of your neck all of a sudden, and many more. he doesn’t want to be vocal about these things at all.

it wasn’t like you hated it. in fact, you found it quite adorable that your lover had this side to him. despite being a gambler in… many ways, it was cute how he had such a clingy side to him. although of course, it will always be behind closed doors.

when aventurine came back home to you, he immediately wrapped his arms around you as you felt him mumble into your skin how he’s tired. your hand reaches the nape of his neck as you gently play with the hair in that area. you feel aventurine sigh in relief—who knew that a person like him would end up acting like an exhausted child from the playground when he’s tired? 

“long day?” you asked him. he just mumbles in agreement and you couldn’t help but chuckle at him.

it’s these little moments that reminds you that love is as simple as a comforting hug after a long day.

Angst with comfort(?), death

You were ayatos lover you met accidentally when you were out buying Boba and you both immediately became friends then somewhat lover you both loved each other dearly but one day when you both where walking along side each other you both didn't notice an assassin aiming an arrow at you when both of you realized it was too late and you were already in his arms dying "c'mon love can you psl just hold on I'll get yiu to a healer then you can-you can be with me again le-lets go out and get your f/f and then spend time with ayaka and-and" ayato stammered he wasn't expecting no he wasn't ready you leaving him alone you were the only light that ever came in his dull and depressing life you were his love and always will be. When you heard him stutter like that you couldn't help but smile a little who knew the great and powerful kamisato ayato could be trembling and crying like this right now "it's fine love maybe in our next meeting we could be happy once more, much more longer" the blood loss finally getting to you and the tiredness you were feeling you finally closed your eyes with a small smile adorning your beautiful features (in ayatos eyes).

"haha-Hahaha" he laughed while his eyes where watering and crying he couldn't believe he lost you the love of his life he knew he couldn't see you again, he couldn't hear you, feel you and more but what can he do nothing but stars at you.

Few years later

Ayatos was like always working when he saw you and his picture together in his desk he couldn't help but smile today was you're anniversary the day you died the day he lost you but suddenly he saw black spots dancing on his vision he knew what was happening he was dying he went to his and your's shared bedroom and finally for the last time closed his eyes and let darkness consume him.

When he awoke he saw a very familiar looking face he couldn't believe it, it was you "welcome home love" he heard you say that your face, your voice he could finally hear it again he walked to you and kissed you lovingly "yeah I'm back" he said with a loving smile and walked towards the light and thinking I hope this never end

(this was just a thought but what if ayato said don't leave me again pls)

"Apple cider is better than pumpkin spice" w/ Rafe pls

You stood at the coffee cart with Rafe as he shifted impatiently beside you, trying to ward off the imagined cold. It was hardly below fifty and the leaves around campus had only just begun to change but Rafe was convinced that he was going to turn into an icicle every time that he stepped out of his dorm. New England life was not for him and he regretted almost every part of deciding to move up north for college. Except of course, the part where he met you.  

“Stop chattering,” you goaded, bumping your hip against his, “It’s not even that cold.”

“It’s the wind chill.”

“Oh, of course, my bad.” You replied, grin evident as you looked up at him. The wind was almost non-existent but Rafe was unwavering in his hatred of the weather.

“It’s colder because we’re between buildings.” He pointed out, as if that was truly the cause of his slight shiver.

“If your so cold get coffee...it stays warm longer.”  

He scrunched his nose at the suggestion, even desperately trying to stay awake while cramming for a test he couldn’t stand the taste of coffee. The cold was not going to affect his decision. “No, apple cider is better anyway.”

“Than a psl...you are mistaken.” You replied, moving up in line.

“Apple cider is better than pumpkin spice.” He said, “don’t be mad because it’s the truth.”

“I’m not mad and it’s not the truth. Pumpkin spice is like...the embodiment of fall. How can you have autumn without pumpkin?”

“Same argument goes for apple cider.” Rafe replied. “I can’t be swayed.”

The line moved up again and you were at the counter, face to face with the barista. He was a kid in your Info Tech class and whenever you got paired with him for small group sessions in class you spent the rest of the night in Rafe’s dorm bitching about him. Right now, he would play tie-breaker just fine though. “A pumpkin spice latte and an apple cider.” You ordered. “Hey, Stephen, do you think apple cider is better than pumpkin spice?”

“Are you asking me which of two completely different drinks I prefer?” He asked, starting to make the pumpkin spice. You weren’t sure if the look of pure boredom was from annoyance at your question or the fact that he had to stand out here in the cold for five hours and serve coffee.  

“Yeah. Cause I was trying to decide and I think-”

“Did you not hear me?” Stephen interrupted, passing the hot apple cider across the small counter. Rafe picked it up immediately, holding it close to his face to both block you from seeing him smile gleefully and to absorb some of the warmth. “They’re two totally different drinks. That’d be like asking me to compare a tree to grass. Same basic thing: nature. But totally different.”

“So...you don’t have a preference.”

“I’d prefer that you paid and left.”

“Thanks Steve, you really helped solve a crisis.” Rafe piped up, handing over his credit card before you could pull money out of your pocket.  

“He would’ve totally said pumpkin spice if you weren’t right there.” You finally said as the two of you walked away, your hand in Rafe’s gloved one as you carried your drink in the other.

“Of course, he would’ve, he wants to sleep with you.” Rafe laughed.

You sidestepped, bumping into him on purpose as the two of you walked though it didn’t do anything to alter his mood. “That’s not true!” You insisted, “it’s cause pumpkin spice is better.”
