I love seeing the hairy SH art! PCOS / trans / wolf girlie, I stan all versions I see. We're not cowards here! The new band drawings are fire, still making my heartrate go jglcbxlw. And seeing the growth? Honestly it's magic to me, I think it's perfect then it becomes even more perfect and I'm just how?? How possible?

Veteran'zel, Baby'zel, Beam'zel, Horny'zel, Rat'zel, all I do is love'zel! The cheetah/dog doodle + wet rat'zel made me hiccup from laughter, we were blessed.

Also for Lae'zel's accent : yes, she would have such a harsh accent! As a foreign speaker, the pronunciation isn't always intuitive and is sometimes paradoxal. She probably never used some sounds, and it's hard to guess a lot of them. It's so inconsistent. I lack air in the middle of my sentences because of the tonal accentuations differences. Languages are crazy man. Lae'zel would have a stroke, struggling to say "library" with Gale correcting her.

I've been upgraded to bestie? Careful, I feel like the most specialest goblin in town now 😎

I also wanted to share with you my recent victory : I passed my exams with unexpectedly high grades! It's been 10 years since I succeeded in anything school related, I feel strangely proud and hopeful. I attribute this partly to the intense hyperfixation for BG3. I can come back to this fandom and get comfort when I feel burned out and in need of motivation. Thank you for being part of it and sharing your blorbos with us. Good soup for our cold starving souls. So yeah, you and your art matter even if you find it bleh sometimes and you doubt yourself.

To pet a werewolf truly is the dream isn’t it, wereshart is prob my fav hc for her it just fits so well. I've been trying really hard lately to figure out how to draw her recently bc despite the art disparity her and lae’zel are neck in neck at being my fav characters. Seeing the growth in the bass drawing really gave me that boost of confidence that I'm at least slightly getting there lol

I truly do love Lae’zel in every form, but wet rat’zel rotates in my mind more than it should, sadly its not a hc I could ever commit to considering I can’t even remember Karlach’s canon tail lmaoo I really should just hc that karlach got her tail docked at this point, that or I need to make a checklist for her so I can go through and make sure ive got all her bits when I draw her

Also Ive already posted my big rambling mess about Gith accents but yeah harsh accent lae'zel best lae'zel, it just makes sense

But yoooo big gratz on the exams! Def something to be proud of!! I can agree this fandom really is a huge motivator, I haven’t had this much drive to do anything I've been doing recently in years. Glad I could help provide a lil comfort spot full of blorbo soup for the soul lol

Went into the owlbear cave near where Edowin was killed, because a little bird (@morganaseren) told me there was a pet we could obtain here. (Y'all know my priorities so well. :P )

And there it is! IDK if this is actually the pet - I'm guessing probably not, but I wouldn't mind if it was. It's cute! What a chonker.

Also distressed. Hopefully we can help it and not get horribly mauled.

I don't think it likes us being here.

Hector completely biffed his attempt at an animal handling check, but did roll a Nat 20 on survival which allowed him to back the fuck up and not engage in combat (which his companions all approved of, presumably because it means they did not become owlbear food).

LOOK THOUGH IT HAS ITS BABY BEHIND IT

It's so smol and round look at it.

IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT however - when Karlach leveled up, she took the Wildheart barbarian subclass which, among other things, gives her (trumpet fanfare) Speak with Animals! (Once a day.)

Unfortunately, no one in the party has a very good charisma score and hers is not top of the pack, but we'll give it a go.

The owlbear once again goes into a defensive stance as they approach - but this time, Karlach can hear its voice resonating in her head along with the clicking of its beak.

"What's this? Something weak...something tender... Won't even have to chew you before I feed you to my son, softmeat."

(A/N: And she comes precooked too!)

With the ability to communicate, even if all the communication so far is threats, Karlach is able to draw a little closer - and identify why the creature is so agitated.

"You're injured. There's still half a *spear* lodged in your head."

Acknowledging this, however, does not improve the owlbear's disposition. "It's a splinter. I've gutted bigger threats than you with worse."

OK this isn't working. Reload. (Some googling indicates that without the Animal Handling check or killing the momma owlbear we're not going to get anywhere.) Once again I end up using an inspiration on gaining animal friends and I'm okay with this. :P

(I can't wait to do a druid playthrough, bc I am going to speak with animals ALL THE TIME. XD )

Narrator: The owlbear's one good eye flicks away for a moment. You follow its glance...and see an owlbear cub.

!!!!! LOOK AT IT. LOOK HOW CUTE IT IS. IT IS SO ROUND I WANT TO LOVE IT.

Hold out your palms - you mean no harm.

Narrator: The owlbear stars, then sharply inhales your scent. It sits back, its eye still fixed on you. A silent ultimatum...you can leave now, or step closer and die.

OK fuck it I'm looking up how to do this. XD

Apparently we have to leave here, having made contact with the momma owlbear. The baby will now appear at the goblin camp of all places. So let's go over there.

Tragically, this does mean fighting all the goblins we avoided dealing with previously. BUT IT'S FOR A GOOD CAUSE.

...I think.

This was an extremely challenging battle and I'm honestly pretty proud of us for making it through. No sign of the owlbear cub though, so we'll take a long rest (which after that we really needed anyway).

(And then a whole bunch of stuff happened involving Astarion and blood which we will get to in another post because wow.)

A second long rest, however, and...

Narrator: You recognize the feathered creature - it's the owlbear cub you rescued.

AHHHHHHH LOOK AT IT IT'S SO CUTE A:LJKDSFPO:SDIHJFPAOIJ

Hector thinks so too.

Quick glance at the IGN guide because it's 1AM and I need to finish this post, which yields this incredibly excellent tidbit:

Also adorable: basically everyone in camp INCLUDING ASTARION approved when I brought it some food. Lae'zel was the only one unmoved by the the small friendshaped ball of fluff.

It ate the food we offered it, and then scampered off into the woods when Shadowheart spoke and startled it.

One more long rest...we're investing a lot of camp supplies in this process. :P

(Also cut for time: a giant fight between Shadowheart and Lae'zel which will also get its own post. I hope everyone's enjoying all the foreshadowing.)

(Also Scratch brought Hector a ball which was adorable.)

Finally! The final scene!

Narrator: The cub holds out his leg, revealing a ragged wound.

Aw buddy. :( Let's see if we can help with that.

[MEDICINE] Attempt to heal the injury.

Narrator: As the wound closes, the cub begins testing his weight on the leg.

So while I'm fucking around with my skyrim baldurs gate companions game, I also decided to do a more in-depth Durge playthrough, and play around with the companions looks. So here's how everyone looks so far!

First off, my peepaw Durge, Cain! I love him so much! While I played with him a bit before and romance Lae'zel, I'm debating on if I want to do that again. Guess I'm going with the flow on him to see who he ends up with.

I really need to draw him at some point. I love the story I built for him, and his personality, which I imagine is very much like Kratos's from God of War; mostly silent and gruff, but knows when he is needed emotionally, and gives great advice on combat!

(Everyone else is below the cut!)

Astarion is one I really just played around with. I knew I wanted to make him a Tiefling, but that was it. Still, I'm super happy with how he turned out. I'm even warming up to him a bit this playthrough!

I'll do Shadowheart next as she is also a character I really don't care for. But maybe I'm shallow, cause this playthrough I'm paying more attention to her and starting to warm up to her character.

I really love the purple and black on her. I also ADORE the tear looking scars on her face.

I'm not sure how the mod I'm using reacts to act 3 Shadowheart, but hopefully I can remember what faces and such I used on her so I can keep her looking mostly the same with just a few changes.

For Gale I really wanted to give him a scrawny wizard man look, and I'm just really happy with it. I don't think I have much to say about him. Just, I really like how he turned out.

I really had no idea what I wanted to do for Karlach, but I'm happy in the end. At first I just was going for a red color look. But after finding the horns that glow, I thought giving her the fire color palette with the orange would be super cool. And it is!

Honestly with Lae'zel, after turning her into Serana in my other playthrough, I decided I wanted to make her more goth. Kinda like Gale, I don't have too much to say, I'm just happy how she turned out!

And lastly Wyll, my boy! I mainly knew I wanted to use these horns. But other than that I wanted to play around with his looks. I tired to download a mod that added more dreadlock hairstyles, but for some reason it didn't work (a lot of my hair mods didn't,) but I decided to just go with the og dreadlock hairstyle. Which, I'm still very happy with! I love Wyll's looks so much, and it breaks my heart knowing Cain wouldn't want to romance Wyll and I can't romance with him. Big sad!

As I play more through this game I may post more screenshots or videos. But we'll see. I've been playing for the past six hours at least, and now I must sleep!

I GOTTA know more about the Baldur’s Gate Singles Ward. And also, werewolf eats cereal.

My concept for a bg3 mormon au is basically that all the main companions are BYU students (write what you know, y'know) in the same ward with The Bishopric From Hell. Bishop Geddarm is fine, he's not super competent but he's kind and entertaining, but he's for some reason called as his counselors Brother Thorm and Brother Gortash. Orin is Gortash's freakazoid wife, and Thorm's wife is Shar--though she knows he's sleeping around on the side, and keeps quiet about it cus it's fun to watch him squirm.

The ward is still okay to be in, because the two main Sunday School teachers (Karlach and Wyll) are absolutely fantastic. She was raised in the church but fell away after coming out as bi as a teen, and then when Wyll met her on his mission she was at a point where she really needed it, and he was a good enough dude to actually honestly help rather than manipulatively pouncing on her misfortune to add a tally mark to his baptism record. They're a dream team of actually exploring doctrine in authentic and progressive ways, and breaking down all the harmful and sketchy nonsense we've all been raised with.

Shadowheart and Lae'zel are currently at the point where they've never questioned any of the church's sketchy nonsense, because they've never had need to--Shads is Brother & Sister Thorm's adopted daughter, who's actually lived in subconscious fear of questioning anything because her older stepsister Isobel was disowned for wanting to marry her wife. Lae'zel is similar, but her fear comes out as contempt for those who just don't have strong enough testimonies to stick it out. A lot of her attitude also comes from her being a certified Air Force Brat, but that's neither here nor there. She'll come around eventually.

Gale & Halsin are both converts, the former for his girlfriend and the latter for scout camp lol. Both technically too old for the ysa ward but shh don't tell anyone. Both prone to very long travelogues in testimony meeting. Both the uncontested kings of ward potlucks, though they never get competitive with one another. Until the chili cook-off. We don't talk about what happened the last chili cook-off.

Astarion has never really had a testimony ever. He's only at BYU because it's the only place his family would let him go to get away from them, and he goes to church & goes through the motions out of fear of getting in trouble & sent back home. But he might come around someday. Maybe. He does enjoy Karlach & Wyll's lessons.

i really really wanna draw them at some point because i have very specific lovely ideas for what they each would wear to church but i also have ten thousand other things i wanna draw and not enough energy or motivation so....someday ;v;

as for werewolf eats cereal i will make that a separate post because it's very very different in tone from this and also this is long lol so stay tuned mwah ily
