I’M SCREAMINGGGG I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT LIL GIF INSPIRED ALL OF THIS!!!! Ok first of all, how in the seven hells did Namjoon just “get a house in the mountains”??? But also, who am I to resist??? The whole interaction with Hoseok has me soft… like it’s so sweet and a lil spicey?? And I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks these two are a lil… too close. The fact that they’re getting the master suite and a whole ass bed to cuddle on has me reeling. My hamster brain can’t stop thinking “ISN’T
(spoilers for Sh. after the cut :)

THIS A JJK FIC?!” HAHAH “Do you know what lies behind this door?... J-hope’s hot body!... Aren’t you curious?” I’M CRYING I CAN’T WITH YOU RN WILLOW!!! The way I nearly dropped my phone on my face reading this scene, I blame you!!! Def one of the highlights of this piece!! Honestly, what a perfect way to work that dialogue in the story. Well done!! Ok, but I have to mention the JK hoverbot 3000. He way he’s quietly trying to keep close to her throughout the night even when she went to go change with Hobi has me thinking. JK must’ve been quietly pining for her for a while now?? He must’ve watched her be handsy with Hobi for so long without letting his jealousy show. And I wonder if the quarantine kinda like… broke him? Like… he’s finally fed up with being passed over. I get the feeling she may be older or simply more mature than him since he said she’s always so good at taking care of them. And the part where she’s settling into his arms and realizes something feels different. “There’s a quiet kind of confidence to him that you hadn’t noticed before. An ability to sit still and silently and find comfort in that. God, it’s sexy.” Maybe she hasn’t seen him “as a man” in the past or something so he just stuffed his feelings down?? Ah, you’ve done too good of a job giving us just enough detail to their relationships, but not enough to get the whole picture! And the moment I’ve been waiting for… JungCOCK. “He has a boner from a car chase.” Sweetie, I don’t think cars inspired that erection HAHA the whole time she’s waxing poetic over his sweatpants boner, I’m hearing WAP playin in the background. I’m still cackling over her trying to quench her thirst with water cus I know firsthand that don’t do shiiiiiiiiit. And I cannot believe JK’s just nonchalantly walking around with his giant pussy destroyer dangling in his pants. “It’s a pretty little complement to have someone you like wanna suck your dick.” YES, im 10/10 sure he absolutely has been quietly pining over her and that thought makes my heart stutter a lil. “His hand glides up his chest to rub at his collar bone. His signature nervous tick.”  I love little details like this, makes JK feel so real to me. The way he asks if she’s willing to let him kiss her and how she asks to touch him tho had me SWOOOOOONING. I am a hoe for consent!! And I always find it so sexy when incorporated into smut. “Just by pulling slightly at the band of his sweatpants, the head of his cock pokes up, caught between the fabric and his torso.” Had me choking (unfortunately not on JK’s cock)!!! God, the sex was so hot and they haven’t even finished!! That cliffhanger had me shook. Like JK is balls deep… is Jimin joining them or??? They gonna move it into the bedroom? They gonna completely stop? Which boys know of JK’s feelings for her? Is there gonna be angst? Ah I’m excited to see this story unfold!!! I feel so honored that you chose to write something based off my submission!!! Like… I can’t put it into words how pleasantly surprised I am!! Pls know I appreciate you SO MUCH and respect your talent more than you know!! I hope you are well!! Pls accept all my love!
DEAR GOD MY LOVELY FRIEND 😭 Why is there water on my face? Why are my eyes wet?
Tumblr media
Who are you even?!? Like who are you that you can just COME IN HERE with these beautiful, long ass asks and fill my inbox and heart up with love?!?!?! WHO said you could do that?!?!?!
But in all seriousness, I can’t tell you how freaking excited I am whenever I see your name pop up in my notifications. Your messages are so thoughtful and full and kind - and reading them makes me feel like I’m not just some rando on the internet throwing together “dick” and “cock” and “thrusting” and hitting the post button.
I’ve seen how you also take the time out of your day to go and support and encourage other writers here on tumblr and I just wanna say thank you thank you thank you. The detail and love in these messages create one of the most encouraging experiences I’ve had on this site. All that to say I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU.
And not to spoil anything (oh god imma have to be careful) but I’ve had this idea for a story running around my head since June or so - I’ve tried writing it a couple times but nothing quite clicked. And then you sent in this ask last week and my mind went REELING. It seems that all this story needed was a visualization of an unfortunate boner. (God, now that that’s written out, I’m not very impressed with myself 😂) So, please, give yourself a pat on the back for getting this story up and running!!! And also, don’t hesitate to send in whatever image or thought or prediction that strikes your fancy, because who knows, it might just end up in the next chapter.
You, my little inspiration machine, are a precious being and I appreciate you so much. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

REVIEW: FIELD MEDIC WANTS TO FADE INTO THE DAWN ON NEW ALBUM
Tumblr media
Field Medic has now reached his second full-length album.  This brand new album, Fade Into The Dawn, came out April 19 and was released via independent record label, Run For Cover. Field Medic is the stage name of Kevin Patrick Sullivan, San Francisco folk, freak folk and lo-fi artist.  Fade Into The Dawn is his first proper full-length Run For Cover release following his prior much critically acclaimed collection project, Songs From The Sunroom.  This all prior to 2015’s self-released debut, Light Is Gone. He began releasing music with his older brother, Sean Sullivan, in 2009, initially as Westwood & Willow and then with drummer, Andrew Skewes-Cox, as Rin Tin Tiger.  He debuted as Field Medic with 2013 EP, Crushed Pennies. Field Medic found himself going through tumultuous change during the recording of Fade Into The Dawn: he relocated to Los Angeles from San Francisco; he left the world of day jobs behind in order to tour year-round; and he decided to quit drinking, only to return to it halfway through a particularly gruelling run of shows. It was the sort of emotional rollercoaster that he would normally work through in song, but even the simple act of writing seemed profoundly more complicated than ever before. Patrick had always written candidly about doubt, darkness and anxiety, but Fade Into The Dawn required him to dig deeper than ever before. Patrick regarding this process, “I had to learn to let go again, because the best songs are the ones that happen inexplicably, that feel like they come out of me almost against my will. “Any song that’s true is a good song in my mind,” he says. “That’s why I never find it necessary to add too much stuff to my recordings. I’m just into songs themselves.” The new album features ten sparse, acoustic tracks that reckon with our perceptions of success and self as they face down the inevitable complications that arise from realising any hard-won dream. The singles for the project are, so far, “Henna Tattoo”, “Used 2 Be A Romantic” and “The Bottle’s My Lover, She’s Just My Friend”.

First, he “Used 2 Be A Romantic”.  It opens with, “I need a cigarette/Those f*ckers talked over my whole set”.  Then, “But I don’t have any time to reflect/I gotta sell some shirts to try and make the rent”.  The foibles of a travelling musician, independent touring musician, amidst despondent strum.  The thumping bass drum introduces the song proper.  “I swore I’d quit but I need a drink tonight…hungover in a hotel bed” a tad more serious, tackling issues bordering on alcoholism.  Classic themes of being on the road, trying to make ends meet and the latter pull of alcohol to a weary mind.  The last section of the track a peaceful strummed lead, melodic and not showy in the slightest. Second track, “I Was Wrong”, is more country-fied.  “One day am I’m a gonna find me a mermaid, one day I’m a gonna be a vampire” curious, weird and daresay wrong.  In fact all he lists is the latter, celebrating the eccentric, perhaps.  Piano keys hammering in the background.  Better in, “One day I’m gonna dress up like penguin/Talking tuxedo party for all my real friends”.   “The Bottle’s My Lover, She’s Just My Friend” is despondent of strum, alcohol blues.  The voice’s strangely earnest and out of tune, portraying real grief. “So the bottle’s my doctor and my prescription” the declaration of a broken man.  Blaring volume cuts in, like white noise amidst the hangover.  “So the bottle’s my saviour, like it’s always been” like delusion on a tragic scale.

Then comes the curiously named “Henna Tattoo”.  This feels a bit more positive, certainly striving to a degree.  Seemingly metaphorical, lines like, “My henna tattoo and it’s fading”.  Like life and love you could say, ultimately. “Hello Moon” dreamy and waving in, ethereal.  The splashing cymbal cuing a dream world.  “All I need in my paradise is you” a true, more earnest thing never said on this album, until now.  Fading as it should, lightly and into eternity. “Tournament Horseshoe” is suitably banjo.  “She’s the only one to pick me up right off the ground/She’s the only one that helped me put the bottle down/She’s a saddle made of leather, she’s eternally horseshoe/She’s the only one I’m gonna give my lovin’ to” the indicator of the second act, someway towards happy resolution.  A further dedication in, “Back in some Dark Age when I would stumble as I walked…she saw my heart through the sorrow, took my hand and saw me through”.  A happy ending, it would seem. “Songs R Worthless Now” like flip flopping back into sadness, again:  “I’d like to be somewhere near to my friends/When the bombs start to drop, and the world starts to end”.  Further morose, “Love won’t protect us when the firing begins/With my last breath I’ll kiss you as the bullet goes in”.  Tragedy in love. “People killing people…sounds like apocalypse” despairing of our world. The “Mood Ring Baby” is desolate with, “If you were the artist and not the muse/You’d be lonely like me, too”.  The banjo breaks out, ringing out in all its expression, eloquent in its grief and a little raucous.  Otherwise it gently waves from side to side.  Driving bass then adjoins, “I love you, always”.  It pares slightly back, again, before ringing out forever. He then declares “Everyday’z 2moro”. It’s down and despondent, driving with melancholy somehow.  “I don’t have a job” like very day, melting into the next with little purpose or direction.  “She’s the one part of my life I don’t wanna change” truly touching.   The ending “Helps Me Forget…” Painfully intimate, candid.  The voice soft, sometimes breaking.  Midway and the drums begin, and they hit emphatically. Really resounding in their finality as they hit.  “Someday soon I’m gonna wake up, stumble and break”, the voice at this point really havering, almost totally awash with emotion. “How did I get here” a question profound and desolate. Ones to look out for are “Used 2 Be A Romantic”, “Henna Tattoo”, “Hello Moon”, “Tournament Horseshoe” and “Everyday’z 2moro”.  One particular thing to remark upon looking at this album is how well these highlights populate the beginning, middle and end.  The other half of the album is by no means bad or poor, it’s just the five selected are more remarkable, whether in the lyrical and emotional sense. Field Medic has, at his peak on this release, put out something very lyrical and even on the seeming verge of tears, too.  When trying to convey his lyrical power, it’s sometimes hard to do so whilst also giving a fair account of the instrumentation, too. Another striking aspect is that the sheer degree to which a lot of the material is sung with voice breaking.  If the tears aren’t flowing, they’re quelled. Field Medic’s Fade Into The Dawn can be bought on iTunes, here.
