i sent an ask about a month or two ago about mygos rep and my ideas about it and now that mores out i can confirm it’s so much :))))

tomori is so so autism coded. she reminds me a lot of myself and while she has some “stereotypical” traits (liking to organize and collect things, social anxiety) she also has ones that i haven’t really seen portrayed in media before ? one is her rsd, she often literally runs away from situations that make her upset which i want to do quite a lot lol. a lot of her character surrounds around her wanting to feel human, she often relates this to her ability to cry which just gives me so much low empathy vibes? i see myself in that a lot too it makes me really happy to see a character like that and they’re not seen as broken. the only person (iirc) who has said tomori is not human for her behavior and personality and everything is herself. her band mates completely support her, they don’t see her traits as wrong it’s just tomori. also she does eventually cry, it’s a big turning point in the show but it’s never directly said that that’s what makes her human. tbh it makes me kinda upset bc she doesn’t need to cry for that but it’s whatever i shouldn’t expect that much lol. she’s just so. also her special interests make me really happy, she’s portrayed really well i think with how she feels about them and how excited she gets when talking about them it makes me really happy :>

rāna is also quite autistic coded? tbh she is still quite a mysterious character but she got the most development i think in the last couple episodes. she is quite aloof and seemingly reserved, she only focuses on things when they interest her, she is generally seemed as “odd” and is often referred to as a cat/catlike, she struggles with change, and has a safe food (matcha flavored things). there’s some more specifically but i don’t want to give spoilers jic. i love her sm she’s SUPER silly.

then anon.. she isn’t really autistic coded but i think she still very much is as well as having a pd. she stims using her hair, focuses heavily on her reputation and how people view her, often wanting to be the center of attention, she tries Very hard to fit in with her peers (to the extent of even creating a band) and shows some symptoms of burnout after doing this. i realllyyy think this is masking. she also really likes fashion and makeup and i think those are her special interests. i think she’s really neat she has every disease i cannot like properly explain her tbh.

and then taki autism and bpd methinks. she has a special interest on pandas, comes off as very blunt, has trouble expressing emotions, she gets jealous easily, tomori is her fp, she is very protective of her and it gets in the way of reality at times, i feel like im forgetting something lol. she’s soooo so so. :•)

and then SOYO. soyo the bpder ever she has 97 mental illnesses and is banned in most public spaces. she masks so much. she has a very strong longing for crychic (previous band w tomori and taki and others) similar to an fp and will do anything to revert back to then, she does a lot of things to get to this and ends up going into a depressive burnout when it doesn’t work, she has a history of instability in her house and her mom is quite distant and she had to take care of her at times, this also led to her being the “mom friend” a lot of the time, she completely unmasks and her personality doesn’t really change but she is much less upbeat but also other circumstances relate to that, she also fidgets with her fingers a lot, again i feel like im forgetting stuff but she’s just. She’s so.

there hasn’t been too much development with the ave mujica characters, but mutsumi remains semiverbal/often non speaking, she gets pushed into in between students with different people/friends which i find very relatable, it feels like a common autism experience being used to mend relationships and act as an in between, she refers to this as being a “carrier pigeon” she also grows to get out of these situations and become her own person. i realllyy hope (and also think she will) she gets more development with that later. as for the other ave mujica characters i don’t really have anything else to say but nyamu autism bc i say so just look at her.

and as for stuff not really gone over in the show but my own thoughts, i love love love cane user tomori, she uses it to deal with chronic pain, she also has cfs, and so does anon. i also think mutsumi often goes fully nonverbal and uses communication cards. this show makes me feel so many things it’s the first hyperfixation ive had like this in a long time /pos. sorry for this massive thing of text and thank you for reading it!!!! i tried to break it up ik reading this myself would be tricky >_< but anyways i think everyone should watch bandori it’s mygo it gives you super autism

I LOVE HEARING PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THEIR SPECIAL INTERESTS!!!!! We still haven't seen My GO but I want to watch it, It makes me happy to see these headcanons and canon interactions that make them autism. I wish there was more assets so I could make icons.

I'm glad you enjoy my blog, but no amount of love sent my way makes much of a difference when you continuously disrespect my boundaries or treat me with any basic decency.

I have told you, multiple times, I am not really in a place to do long post analyses right now. I have only ever said I'd maybe do one for Anakin, sometime in the future when I had energy and was in a better health place, and that my friend wrote one up anyways already.

Now you're asking me to get into a whole show & fandom I am not in and have zero interest in so I'll get around to writing you another ADHD post. I am not interested in that show. I've seen snippets bc someone else who lives with me watched it, and no offense to anyone who enjoyed it, but I don't care for it. I thought Karate Kid wasn't bad but it's also not something I'm super into, so why would I watch its weirdo sequel show just because a kid wants me to? One who never listens to me or treats me like a real human being, with a whole ass life outside of my blog?

And yeah, I know it's you, because you're the only one who continuously sends a ton of asks for various headcanons and giving me deadlines to do an ADHD Anakin post, and drunk!Anakin headcanons (I don't want to write about drunk characters, that makes me uncomfortable), and what he'd be like as a boyfriend even though we already know through the movies, etc.

I'm not some headcanon machine, I am not even a headcanon request blog. If I want to engage in an expansive analysis post, it'll be one I'm excited for, one that might not be out there or, at least, not in that way, and one where I feel I have the energy to write up and do weeks of research gathering for. Not because an anon who says they enjoy my content and cares about me wants me to. (And I'm much more interested in giving one of my close friends an analysis they thought would be neat years ago that I haven't done, but is for fandoms/content I genuinely love and enjoy already.)

I did answer a headcanon ask that someone sent, but when I asked them for time, they were chill and told me not to stress at all about it. Also, the parameters were literally just anything I could think of and it was more fun because I did it with a friend. And I had energy.

My BPD!Anakin analysis post took me weeks. I already knew a lot about BPD and Anakin before that!!! But I needed good things to refer to, to show sources, to break down scenes and even make sure I had photos to break it up because I know long text posts can be hard for some. It was a lot of effort despite how much I enjoyed myself.

I don't have that time or energy anymore. I barely get to hang out with my closest friends anymore, or talk to lovely ones on here, and I'm struggling through a traumatizing, awful situation. Kid, literally please get off my ass. I will not be so nice if you keep being rude like this, and I will block you if need be.

I love when people enjoy my content and want to talk to me about it, but you're just continuously demanding a bunch of shit from me. Please stop.

THINGS I’D LIKE TO POINT OUT ABOUT THIS CLIP:

I love these silent alone clips that skam does. Alone at home starring at a wall is how we all spend a part of days, whether we admit it or not. I think this is a great reminder that even though Cris is known as the party girl, it’s not all she is, and that being the life of the party is not something that comes automatically and naturally out of her in all situations.

The eye roll after Eva’s text supports this. She’s known for partying and she should be at the party, not at home having an existential crisis over her sexuality and role in this world.

Cris might slightly exaggerate her party girl role, but what is not exaggerated at all is how much Cris loves the girl gang and how much the girl gang loves Cris.

Cris is trying so hard to not go OTT and to be a good friend for Amira tomorrow. Sadly she did not know she’d get her heart broken in about 5 minutes.

I’m actually very for this heterosexual romance. At least more than Viri is.

Viri didn’t mention her birthday at all, which is very un-Viri like and the first red flag in this department. She probably thought that if she tells about her birthday she’ll have to throw a party and she doesn’t have the money to rent a place nor does she want people over to hers. I really hope that for Viri’s next bday the girls throw her a surprise party or something, I have a feeling that Viri hasn’t had many birthday parties in her life.

Joana is such a powerful distraction that Cris doesn’t even seem that bothered about the fact that one of her best friends literally hid her birthday from her.

Both Cris and Eloy are at this party, so who is Joana texting?? Or i wouldn’t be surprised if Joana had a secret tumblr account and she’s currently writing a poem about the meaning of life. Sadly the tumblr account might be wishful thinking though and she’s probably texting her mom.

The actual reason why Cris is at this party has arrived and Nora is demonstrating how Cris probably feels on the inside.

"You came” “Yes, you too” is something that will be said a lot more during these two’s relationship. (i’m so sorry about this, but it was right there)

Joana is being a responsible human and declining a drink with a bad excuse that screams foreshadowing.

Cris is shocked by the fact that declining a drink is an actual possibility in this world.

I need a Joana in my life for many reasons, but one of them is definitely that she could teach me how to flirt because damn this girl is good.

These looks and lip bites and the little sway that Joana does towards Cris does things to me. God i’m gay.

I’ve finally found a reason for Cris’s nails!!! She has them so that she can make these ridiculously neat partings to her hair.

It look like Cris is reacting to a compliment or something, but she’s literally just doing this cute ass smile because of their intense eye sex moment.

This is the only appropriate reaction for Eloy showing up.

Joana looks so confused about Eloy being there even though she must have known that he would be coming to the party.

I’ve said before how this whole cheek kiss greeting thing is great when it gives you a change to get close to your crush, but in this situation i think it’s safe to say that we all hope that they’d just shake hands in Spain. Or that they could just do one of those distant nods.

This then again is a heterosexual romance that i’m not for.

I can hear Cris’s heart breaking all the way across Europe. Poor baby, this is a horrible situation to be in, trust me, i’ve sadly been in this situation as well. Fun times.

Joana knows what she is doing to Cris and that she is breaking her heart. And we all know that it’s hurting Joana probably even more than Cris, hence it’s completely impossible for me to even try to be mad at Joana for all this.

“My noviO” aka Cris’s cue to leave and go and cry in a corner.

Joana looks so vulnerable and you can see her trying to study Cris’s reaction. She’s probably trying to get eye contact with Cris so that she could try to signal how much she cares for Cris, but sorry baby, you’ve lost Cris for the night.

Gotta love these clips where literally no one ends up being happy, except maybe Eloy. But we don’t care about you Eloy.

hi! i’m anon from mamoru (asking here cus asks aren’t on on ur sims blog) i’m really interested in your thoughts about incorporating disabilities into the sims, i’m trying to develop my own sims game cus fuck ea lol, and i’d really like to be as incorporating of disability as possible. thanks!

anyway!!!

i’m looking at this more from a perspective of “how to make the sims 4 better” than like “how to make my own video game” and i don’t know much about coding or game development so idk how helpful some of this will be but hopefully some will?? infodump incoming!!! sorry if it’s not that coherent. i’ve bolded some keywords in case you want to only read sections pertaining to certain disabilities.

starting with canes, bc i use one and i wish my simself did: sims 3 had canes, but for some reason they were coded weird so only elders could use them (iirc modders weren’t even able to fix it?? wtf ea). plus ts4 has custom walkstyles, and your sim can hold things like umbrellas while walking, so it’s almost definitely possible to add canes and crutches.

adding walkers would probably be a very similar process, tho i can imagine there might be some issues w clipping? not that ea has ever given a single fuck about that lmao

i’m a little bit less sure how wheelchairs would work, but the best reference i can think of is the strollers from ts3, or maaaybe some of the smaller vehicles. i have a vague memory of like a bike or a hoverpad or something that you could ride everywhere and not just on the road, but idk. the main issue i can see is that certain animations and interactions would need to be a lot more flexible--eg, sims would need to be able to do things like cook or paint or give hugs while sitting down. i can also see it being a little tricky to animate “transfers” from like, a wheelchair to a desk chair or w/e. honestly i think this would be easier to implement in sims 4 than it would have been in sims 3, because ts4 at least allows you to multitask some things. idk, it would probably be on the harder side, but holy shit it would be so worth it.

and then for some reason when i think about wheelchair users in the sims i start to wonder how feasible it would be to include little people (i hope that’s the right term?). simmers have been wanting height sliders since at least ts3, but any time a modder tries to add one the animations start getting kinda wonky, and i don’t think anyone’s really considered a height slider that goes low enough to make sims with dwarfism. i KNOW there are non-sim games out there that use height sliders, but idk how tf they do it without giving everyone telekinesis.

there was a mod in sims 3 that added sliders for amputated limbs, but it was a purely cosmetic thing, so like, sims would still walk like they had two legs or write with their “missing” hand or w/e. ideally i’d love to see a way to give sims limb differences that actually affected how they went about their lives + gave them the option to use prosthetics. i found a set of running blades in the “shoe” category for sims 4, but like... if you give them to a sim they’ll still magically grow legs in the shower lol.

deafness i think ties into my desire for sims to be able to speak multiple languages. not all deaf people use sign language, of course, but it would be great if sims had the option. i guess languages would function like any other skills, and if two sims don’t have any languages in common, they won’t be able to communicate beyond very basic things. maybe if you wanted a deaf sim to be able to speak, you could hire a speech therapist, or purchase some sort of object for them to practice with. also, dyou remember the earbuds in ts3 that made it so like, you’d only hear the music when you selected the sim using earbuds? i think you could probably make it so that when a deaf sim is active the game volume is either much lower or completely off. then for things like hearing aids, you could equip them and the volume would get a little bit higher.

blindness could use a similar mechanic, but instead of everything being silent, everything would be very dark and low-contrast. maybe objects that were making noise or places your sim had been before would have more detail. blind sims could also use navigation canes that would like... light up the area immediately in front of them.

invisible disabilities, allergies, and neuropsychiatric conditions would probably be a bit easier to add. sims 4 has a “quirk” system for celebrities where certain actions can trigger your famous sims to develop new traits.

i think the best example of how you could use this to make, for example, mental illnesses is the “emotion bomb” quirk. famous sims develop it after experiencing intense anger or sadness, and it basically makes them experience that emotion much more intensely. that’s already a symptom of a mental illness called bpd! so what if something like repeatedly being mean to a child sim had a 0.1% chance of causing them to develop bpd? or if having a powerful sad or tense moodlet had a 0.1% chance of causing them to develop depression?

(side note: i can really easily picture something similar to the “dark form” for ts4 vampires being used for dissociative identity disorder. genetics would be consistent across all personality states, but they could have different traits and voices and clothing,)

certain conditions could also be present at birth, like autism or adhd. i actually have custom traits for these; they’re not perfect, but if you want to google them they might be a good reference. one little thing that i think would be neat is if autistic sims had idle “stimming” animations, like flapping their hands or spinning in a circle. the biggest problem, though, is that autism and adhd are highly variable and i’m not sure how to make it so that not all autistic sims have the same behaviors.

allergies i guess would have to have some sort of severity scale, and be triggered by a sim eating a certain food or petting a certain animal. i’d want the likelihood of a sim developing a particular allergy to be pretty low, but that’s just me lol. maybe sims with allergies could keep meds on hand to deal with the worst of their attacks?

actually, the allergies thing reminds me--diabetic sims! depending on which type, a sim could either be born with it or contract it later in life. i’m not totally familiar with how insulin works, but a sim could have a pump equipped to mitigate their symptoms, or take regular injections.

i have a custom trait in my game for chronically ill sims, which basically makes their energy deplete faster and sometimes gives them moodlets with little blurbs about their illness. this seems like a pretty good system for chronic illnesses, but obv it would vary a lot by which illness your sim has--eg, would you actually animate a sim with ehlers-dahnlos popping a joint out of their socket, or would you just give them an uncomfortable moodlet? in particular, though, i think the mechanic that makes elder sims unable to do most exercise would be great for sims with dysautonomia.

also, i’ve mentioned some assistive devices already, but i think figuring out how treatment works would be a big deal. do sims have single-payer healthcare, or do they have to pay for everything themselves? can sims crowdfund their medicine? what kind of treatments/cures are available? are their side effects? some conditions don’t have cures irl, but maybe a sim can pay like $30k to a witch to make their fibromyalgia go away!

this is almost definitely more info than you wanted and i’m kinda embarrassed i wrote this much, but uh... here you go, a mostly stream-of-consciousness essay on disabilities in the sims! god i hope it’s readable

Or maybe when I screamed at the top of my lungs at a “make the most noise” contest during a raffle at my sisters college orientation.
