people seeing gifs of the 15th doctor having gay little moments and going "ohh what's this show? i gotta watch it" is literally ending me not just coz of the concept that anyone can be unaware of doctor who but also bc like. while i do think it's a show ppl should watch in its entirety. DON'T DO IT FOR GAY REP LMAO. like it literally does have a lot of lgbt rep even all the way back in season 1 of 2005 fame but watching 13 seasons of doctor who coz something gay happens in the new eps is like. idk finding out there's a new pride and prejudice adaptation with a gay character in it and going ohhhh that sounds fun:) guess i'll go watch every adaptation ever made

Babes tell me about it !!!! The rishta thing is so so annoying I've just turned 20 and everywhere I turn there's a conversation about my "shaadi" like calm down people chill. I'm only in my second year of uni and these people are ready to send me off. Parents are okay till whenever I'm ready however grandparent, uncles, aunts all are ready to ship me off. The variety of boys I've heard about till now is truly astounding like I want to know how my family knows these many people.
I literally have been dealing with this bullshit since I saw 16. My parents pretty much handled it for me until I was 18 as they didn't know if I even wanted to marry or not and they have always been pretty open about the idea of me not marrying, staying in their house, and marrying out of our culture (I'm no longer religious, just agnostic so they're chill on that front).
As soon I turned 18 they gave me free rein to say and do whatever I wanted. So I initiated my ten-step plan of psychological warfare on my extended family to prove i'm not worth of the gift that is an arranged marriage.
ADORA'S TEN-STEP GUIDE TO PISSING OFF EXTENDED FAMILY
Fight the favourite uncle (verbally or physically your choice, I chose both)
Did not become a doctor/engineer or pursue a job in education.
Did not show respect to my older cousins and called them out for being bitches and fought for the other cousins who were not as 'respectable'.
Can't cook (I can but I fucked up food on purpose, my dad finds this very funny)
got into multiple fistfights in public
broke a chair over the back of a girl whose father was part of a political party.
nearly stabbed a man
ate dishsoap (not necessary but can confirm apple scent does not mean apple flavour)
literally refused to talk to them in four years (my mum tells them i'm not home and my dad literally races me to see who can get to the bathroom to avoid the phone first)
got a tattoo spanning from my forearm to my back (my dad doesn't know this, this is my last resort. If push comes to shove i'm walking around in a tank top, tits and tattoo on show)

Get To Know Me HBO War Fandom
1. What was the first series you watched and how did you find out about it?
Band of Brothers. My mom actually got it for my dad for Christmas and it was too much for me to handle at a young age but in college about 8 years ago now I sat down and watched it again not even joking 5 times in a row.
2. Which series of the three is your favourite? Why?
Band of Brothers was my first favorite and will always be my ride or die.
3. Have you read any of the books related to the series?
I have read and own all three! Generation Kill is my favorite.
4. Favourite/least favourite Band of Brothers characters? Why?
Favorites: Momma Lipton because he’s everything those boys in easy needed, George Luz because his comedic relief kept everyone sane, and Bill Guarnere because that salty Italian was the grumpy soft glue of the company.
Least favorites: Cobb, Sobel, Dike because they were all incompetent assholes.
5. Favourite/least favourite Pacific characters? Why?
Favorites: Basilone because he is a fine piece of man, Chuckler because I feel like he is underrated
Least favorites: (I don’t like Sledge for most of the show please don’t kill me) I don’t remember many others to know who I disliked
6. Favorite/least favorite Generation Kill characters? Why?
Favorites: RayRay because he’s ripfueled self kept them all going, Brad because the Iceman’s one liners are iconic, and Walt because he is the most precious of all the babies.
Least favorites: Captain America, Encino Man, and Casey Kasem all tie for stupidest human being on the planet
7. What was your favorite thing about Band of Brothers?
The historical accuracy of the show as well as the accurate portrayal of the brotherhood formed during one of the worst wars in human history.
Also all the one liners were pure gold.
8. What was your favorite thing about The Pacific?
I really liked how it showed the true horrors of the Pacific campaign not just the warfare itself but the psychological horrors as well. (My grandfather fought in the Pacific and wouldn’t tell us anything about it).
9. What was your favorite thing about Generation Kill?
All of Ray’s monologues. Every single one.
10. Which Band of Brothers scene broke your heart the most?
Hoobler’s death. That was such a tragic scene.
11. Which The Pacific scene broke your heart the most?
Basilone dying broke me inside. Also pretty much the whole show wrecked me emotionally.
12. Which Generation Kill scene broke your heart the most?
When Ray snaps at Rudy in Baghdad. They were all so strung out and ready to be out of Iraq.
13. Do you have a favorite Band of Brothers episode? Which one and why?
It’s got to be Points because my babies get to go home!
14. Do you have a favorite The Pacific episode? Which one and why?
I’m rewatching the Pacific now because I honestly don’t remember too much. The episode where Basilone holds the machine gone with his bare hands I think is my favorite.
15. Do you have a favorite Generation Kill episode? Which one and why?
Get Some, the first episode started off great with both character introduction and all of Ray’s monologues.
16. A Band of Brothers scene that made you laugh.
The scene when they Luz impersonates Major Horton and convinces Sobel to cut the fence and all the guys are laughing. Golden scene.
Also most of Luz’s scenes are pretty damn funny.
17. A The Pacific scene that made you laugh.
Peaches!
18. A Generation Kill scene that made you laugh.
Literally anything Ray said or did. He is my comedy baby with Luz
19. Did any of the series change your perspective on the historical events? How?
Not really, my dad, grandfathers, and uncle were all in the military so I grew up knowing what it was like so the crude humor and idioic commanders weren’t a surprise.
20. Band of Brothers opening credits or The Pacific opening credits?
Band of Brothers but the Pacfic tried really hard in a good way!
21. Are you excited for Masters of the Air?
Will this ever actually happen? Please?
22. If you could make HBO create another series, what would it be about?
Something Navy related. Yeah I know woo boys but as a Navy brat I would like a Navy series thank you.
23. Army or USMC?
USMC even though when you get more than one together their IQ drops to 70
24. Your brOTPs, if you have any.
Ray/Brad, Nate/Wynn, Bill/Babe, Luz/Perconte
25. Your OTPs, if you have any.
So I ship a lot of different people together but the few OTPs I have are Rudy/Pappy, Webster/Liebgott, Winters/Nixon
