I think one of my favorite parts about getting compliments on my art semi regularly is finding out the specific stuff that stands out abt my art style to others. It's a lot easier for me to have confidence in my art when I actually know what specifically is cool abt it :)

#rat rambles #apparently it used to be like a whole thing in the art community that thick lineart is ugly? idk Ive heard some people bring it up #but like every time someone compliments my art they always bring up how thick it is as a positive thing so I appreciate that djdbdjdv #I personally love drawing thick lineart!! #its fun and it makes it easier to make sketchy lineart look good djdjsv #the one thing abt thick lineart is that it makes drawing complicated designs impossible #which is why I so geavily simplify like every dr character I draw #tge two reacuring compliments that suprised me the most was that ppl like how I do textures and hair #I feel a bit bad abt the textures compliment since thats not rly like... a me being good at ary thing #but I am facinated by the hair compliment #Ive had my siblings tell me abt me drawing haur cool too and I just dont get it #I guess I draw hair big and fluffy maybe? idk
