How would Felix react to Josh getting stuck in a coma? (Probably from Felix's punishments)

Ohmy, I LOVE this question!!! 👀😍

Pure panic. He'd be stuck in the the in-between of unadulterated terror and crippling denial.

For a day or so, he'd try and nurse Josh back to health. Felix would be perched by Josh's bedside night and day. Tucking him in, holding his hand and whispering sweet nothings, begging him to wake up. Felix wouldn't sleep, wouldn't eat - he'd just watch Josh and try over and over to wake him.

Then desperation would set in. When he realises Josh isn't waking up and that this time, it's deadly serious. He'd call for backup - his goons friends. He'd be left with no option but the hospital, but how could he ever do that? He wouldn't be able to stay with Josh. Eyes would turn to Felix the second he carried Josh in, just skin and bones, littered with bruises and scars. And how could he ever think of abandoning the love of his life?

So, I think either Felix's hubris would get the best of him, and he'd refuse to get Josh medical help and would keep him...no matter what happens. Or maybe he would dump Josh at the hospital, possibly with the intention of snatching him back down the line 👀

Thinking of the broken plate trope today 🥰😌 Josh accidentally smashing something, and within seconds he's crumbled to the floor, inconsolable. Sobbing, cowering and frantically apologising over and over. Terrified of how Felix will react.

It would totally depend on what kind of day Felix is having. If he's in a chipper mood, he'd cradle Josh and tell him that his reaction breaks his heart and he has nothing to be scared of. If he's in a grouchy mood...Josh will be in for it 🙈

So I’m curious now, how do your whumpers (so Felix, Izaak, & Ronan) celebrate their whumpees’ (so Joshy, Henley & also Izaak) birthdays?

I’m not including Declan because Vince probably doesn’t think his birthday is worth celebrating

Oh, I love this question!!!!

Felix goes ALL OUT for Josh's birthday. Honestly, it's probably the one day each year in Josh's captivity where he's not having an absolute awful time. Josh wakes up to balloons and banners all around the house. Felix will get him a pile of presents (although often some of the presents are for Felix's own gain...) and a huge cake. Only the best for the love of his life! Josh is captive for two birthdays, and on one of them- Felix takes him for a picnic outside (cuffed together ofc, and shackles so he doesn't run ;) )

Izaak didn't really care about Henley's birthday. One time he forgot about it completely, Henley didn't even know what day it was or when his birthday passed. Another he taunted Henley with it and made a point of ruining it, and showing him news clips of his family still searching for and missing him. Then Henley's last birthday was just before he was about to be sold to Ronan - so Izaak did make an effort for that one. He laid tf off him for that one day, got him a tiny cupcake with a single candle on which Henley absolutely loved.

Ronan would celebrate his pets birthdays! He'd buy them new pretty collars, or some new food bowls - maybe some dog toys or a dog bed! Get both Izaak and Henley in party hats, can you imagine ahaha Izaak would look like this:

And you're totally right </33 I doubt Vince even acknowledges Declan's birthday. Poor lil guy celebrates all by himself if he can sus out the date.

ASDFGHJKL OMG THERE WAS!

It was a scene that takes place wayy down the line in Play Pretend, it may not make all that much sense without a lot of context!

But it was a piece where Felix was forcing Josh's best friend, Alec (who is genuinely in love with Josh) to shoot him - and then Felix was going to shoot Alec afterwards. No-one dies, the bullet is a blank, it's a mock execution. But you can imagine the absolute anguish and fear that put them both in. And they were both so so terrified and saying their goodbyes and confessing feelings 😭🥺 And then Felix swoops in like the knight in shining armour after to comfort Josh when he's inconsolable 🙄

Spoilers below kinda, but here's a little snippet of it:

“C-Can…Can you close y-your eyes, Josh? Please… I - I need you to close your eyes. For me. One last time.”

It’s not like Josh will remember it, but Alec refuses to let this be the last thing Josh sees. His final memory of him. Alec can’t do it whilst he’s looking. He’s completely paralysed, his finger completely stiff over the trigger - even when the rest of him is violently shaking. Josh obliges, and his eyes slip shut like he’s simply just falling asleep.

“I-I’m…I’m so scared. I fought s-so hard to not…to not end up here. I don’t want to go-” Josh croaks, his voice breaking into a high-pitched wail at the end. A warmth spreads between Josh’s legs, and a wet puddle forms underneath him, he squeezes his legs together to hide it. It’s too late - Alec sees. His heart crushes to ash all over again. Josh is absolutely petrified and there’s not a thing Alec can do to help or soothe him.

“I…I know. I am so sorry, Josh. You’ve been so brave. So strong. It’s not long now, hold on just a little longer…and then you don’t have to be brave anymore. This nightmare will all come to an end. I swear.”

“And you’ll be there? You’ll… You’ll come join me? I won’t be alone?”

“Not anymore. Never again. I’ll be there soon. Promise.”

Alec has never broken a promise. Josh scrunches his face up in anticipation, his eyes screwed shut and his hands balled into fists. He’s rocking back and forth with how much he’s hyperventilating. It needs to be done. And he trusts Alec more than anyone in the whole world. He loves Alec, and Alec loves him - he knows now even if it took this much pain to realise. This ends with everything he’d ever wanted in the first place. Someone he could love and depend on.

He’s not saying goodbye. They’re not leaving each other. Soon, they’ll be together again. It’s more of a… see you later.

“Goodnight, Alec.”
