Inicios en su carrera artistica

En el año 2008 realizó su debut en la cadena de Televisa en la serie Terminales, y en teatro en Avenue Q, obra que la ayudó a conseguir su papel en la telenovela Verano de amor producida por Pedro Damián en 2009.

Su primer papel cinematográfico lo protagonizó en la película El efecto tequila, y una pequeña participación en la serie estadounidense Persons unknown.

En el 2010, interpretó a Prisca, una menonita con sueños de ser cantante grupera en la serie de televisión Los héroes del norte, creada por Gustavo Loza.

Tuvo una pequeña participación en las series televisiva From prada to nada y en Niño santo en el 2011. Interpretó el papel de Maripili, en la serie de Cadena Tres La clínica, de Gustavo Loza, y su segundo protagónico en Suave Patria junto a Omar Chaparro y Adrián Uribe.

En el 2013 se estrenó su tercer y cuarto protagónico en la película Me late Chocolate junto a Osvaldo Benavides. Ese mismo año se estrenó Nosotros los Nobles, la segunda película más taquillera de la historia de México. Ha sido conductora de los Millennial Awards de MTV2. En 2014 filmó El Jesuita, película aún no lanzada.

En la segunda temporada de Niño Santo interpretó renovadamente el papel de Lucia en 2014 y estrenó la tercera temporada de Los héroes del norte. Desde el 2014 participa en la serie estadounidense How to get away with murder, donde interpreta a Laurel Castillo.

En 2016 estrenó la película I brake for gringos, en la cual interpreta a Ashley López. Ese mismo año estrenó su nueva película ¿Qué culpa tiene el niño?

Nigerian Woman Seeking Refuge In Spain Reveals How Policemen Wanted To Have S3x With Her And Others.

The stories of women migrants making the desperate Mediterranean crossing to Europe are different from those of the men, marked by a higher level of exploitation and abuse. Lucia Benavides reports from Spain.

On the last leg of her long and perilous journey to Europe, Joy Good was eight months pregnant. Fortunately, she was rescued from a rubber dinghy bobbing off the coast of Spain last August.

The 20-year-old had started her trip to Spain from a small Nigerian village two years earlier. She says life there was tough for a young woman like her, especially after her first pregnancy – a result of a rape when she was just 15 years old.

‘I left because I don’t have help,’ said Good. ‘I don’t have anyone.’

Both of her parents died when she was young. So, as soon as she gave birth to the child – a girl – Good handed her over to neighbours in the village. Then she headed north, hoping to find better opportunities in Europe.

But the journey proved more difficult than she had anticipated.

‘The police [at the Morocco-Algeria border] would see us and they said they wanted to make love to us,’ said Good, referring to the other women travelling alongside her. ‘They beat everybody. They always beat. They also beat me.’

Good has a difficult time talking about her journey. She often stops to rub her face with her hands, take a deep breath and look at me as if asking when the questions will stop. When she brings up the father of the unborn child – a boy, whom she planned to keep – she says he stayed behind in Morocco.

Good is just one of many women who crossed into Spain last summer, eventually making it to Malaga and applying for asylum. She has qualified for a six-month governmental programme that provides shelter, Spanish classes and other immersion activities.

El pasado fin de semana se disputaron dos torneos oficiales en el calendario de la FAN, a los que acudieron representantes del Club H2O El Ejido. Parte del equipo benjamín se desplazó a Málaga, mientras que los más grandes competían en Almería. En ambas competiciones se realizó un gran trabajo, destacando sobre todo la participación en el torneo almeriense, donde se consiguieron 9 medallas de Oro, 8 de plata y 8 de bronce, repartidas desde la categoría alevín hasta la absoluta.

En el trofeo celebrado en la capital almeriense, donde participaron 312 deportistas de 16 clubes andaluces, los 18 nadadores y 10 nadadoras ejidenses, acumularon hasta 25 preseas, muy repartidas:

En categoría genérica (absoluta), destacaron Mario Ortega, con doble medalla de Oro en 100 y 200 libres; Manuel Martos, doble Oro también en 1500 y 100 espalda; José Ángel Espinosa, Plata en 200 espalda; Raúl navarro, Bronce en 100 espalda. Y en el equipo femenino, Lucia Martos, Plata en 200 espalda y Laura Villegas, Plata en 200 estilos.

En categoría alevín, Alexander Gómez consiguió Medalla de Oro en 400 libres y Plata en 100 mariposa; Carlos Maqueda, Oro en 200 mariposa; Daniel Benavides, Plata en 200 mariposa; Raúl Espinosa, doble Bronce en 100 mariposa y 100 braza; Pablo Gómez, Bronce en 200 libres. Entre las chicas, Carmen Guerrero alcanzo Medalla de Oro en 200 espalda y Plata en 800 libres, y Lucía Navarro  Bronce en 100 Braza.

Los relevos también resultaron ganadores, destacando en categoría absoluta las Platas conseguidas por el 4×100 libres (Manuel, Sergio, Raúl, Mario) y por el 4×200 libres (Alexander, Manuel, Sergio, José Ángel), y el Bronce con el 4×100 estilos (Miguel, José Ángel, Raúl y Mario. Por su parte, el equipo femenino del 4×200 libres (Laura, Carmen, Lucía Navarro, Lucía Martos) consiguió la Medalla de Bronce.

Y los relevos de categoría alevín no se quedaron atrás. Así el 4×100 libres (Pedro, Alexander, Ariel, Pablo) y el 4×100 estilos (Alexander, Raúl, Carlos, Pablo) alcanzaron la Medalla de Oro.

Mientras los grandes del club participaban en Almería, los más pequeños lo hacían en Málaga, donde 22 clubes de toda Andalucía, con 442 deportistas, se citaron en el Torneo Memorial García Zamudio. El equipo benjamín se batió en numerosas pruebas: Yeray Orcera, 50 braza; Iván Pérez 50 espalda; Javier Villegas y Daniel Cara, 50 mariposa; Pedro Contreras, 50 espalda; Gonzalo Navarro y Miguel Ángel Maldonado, 50 libres. Las chicas, Alba Ruiz, 50 espalda; Lucía López 50 mariposa y 50 braza; María Dolores Acién, 50 espalda y 50 libres, y Ana García, 50 mariposa y 50 libres.

El Club H2O El Ejido se trae 25 medallas del Trofeo CN Almería El pasado fin de semana se disputaron dos torneos oficiales en el calendario de la FAN, a los que acudieron representantes del Club H2O El Ejido.
