“Government knows both the language, the language of gun and talks ..” Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during a media interaction said that Congress Party has always followed double standards when it comes to the topic of Naxalism. He also said that it was important to wipe out Congress before uprooting Naxals.
On Monday, there was a special message on the CM’s official WhatsApp group where it was claimed that the CM mentioned eradication of Congress party as essential to uproot Congress party.
This message was sent to the group by an official administrator of the group. The statement from the CM came during a media interaction where he was answering to a question pertaining to the suspicion was raised by ex-CM Bhupesh Baghel.
Baghel had his doubts about the historic encounter which took place in the middle of the jungles of Binagunda and Korenar, an area that comes under the control of Chote-Bethiya Police station. The security forces carried out an operation where they eliminated 29 hardcore Naxals in a gunfight. Various leaders from the opposition parties including Congress raised their doubts about it.
Answering to the doubts, CM Sai said, ” Meanwhile, after Modi became Prime Minister the activities of Naxals shrieked and got confined into a limited small area. We are ready to uproot the Naxals from its roots.”
“Government knows both the language, the language of gun and talks, it will be better for Naxals to come to the table and start a dialogue to resolve the issue otherwise security forces can teach them lessons in language of bullets,” he added.
The path of violence is not good, instead they should focus on resolving the issue amicably, Sai said.
Lashing out at the Congress party the CM said, “the farming of votes via Naxalism is unconstitutional and dangerous for democracy. Congress party which gives birth to emergency rule in India, will be uprooted by the public one day itself.”

Title: Naxalite Attack in Chhattisgarh's Bastar District Claims Lives of Three Security Personnel
In a tragic occurrence, a Naxalite attack in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district resulted in the deaths of three security men and the injury of four more. A patrol unit was ambushed earlier today in a secluded forested location by a group of Naxal rebels.
The Naxalites opened fire heavily on the security officers as they were conducting a routine patrol to ensure the safety of the area. Before the assailants withdrew into the dark woodland, there was a lengthy exchange of fire.
In order to conduct search and combing operations to find the attackers responsible for the attack, authorities hurriedly dispatched more soldiers to the area. The injured workers have been transported for medical attention to the closest hospital.
The incident shows the persistent threat of naxalism in the area, and security personnel have been working hard to combat the problem. The Bastar district, which is renowned for its thick forests and challenging topography, has long been a centre of Naxalite activities.
Bhupesh Baghel, the chief minister, has since apologised to the families of the security personnel who died and denounced the incident. NEW DELHI: The NIA has filed its second supplementary charge sheet in a case related to a Naxal attack on former MLA Gurcharan Nayak in which two police personnel were killed in Jharkhand in January 2022, an official said on Monday.
The charge sheet was filed in a special NIA court in Ranchi against two armed cadres — 25-year-old Tivari Bankira alias Shaka and 20-year-old Sadan Korah alias Sajan — of the proscribed CPI (Maoist) terror group on Saturday, a spokesperson for the federal agency said.
The official said the pair, hailing from Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district, has been charged under various sections of the Indian Panel Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
While Bankira was arrested on November 30, Korah has been in custody since February 13, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) spokesperson said.
According to the NIA’s investigations, they were providing support to the CPI (Maoist) for furthering its terror and violence-related activities and waging a war against the government of India.
“They were part of the conspiracy to carry out the terrorist attack on Nayak and his bodyguards. They were also part of the special action team established by the banned terror outfit to execute the crime,” the spokesperson said.
The NIA said the two accused had attended the meeting in which the conspiracy to attack Nayak with deadly weapons at High School Jhilrua was hatched.
“They had done a recce of the spot a day before the incident and had also participated in the training to execute the attack,” the NIA said in its charge sheet.
The former MLA was attacked on the school premises in West Sighbhum district on January 4, 2022.
The police had initially registered the case at the local station but the investigation was taken over by the NIA on June 30 last year.
On December 31, the NIA charge-sheeted 14 accused people in the case.

This sad boy archetype looms so large in the Apu trilogy, which is so different to Nita’s melancholia in Meghe Dhaka Taara.
