I was surfing through Vocaloid nostalgia and very suddenly remembered these heckers, so I decided I wanted to draw them.

So yeah. I have a Vocaverse and I’ve been extremely into it as of late, headcanons below the cut.

So, the Vocaverse is a lot of things but, right now, let’s just talk about Shions.

Kaito is the second-oldest of five, his siblings being Akaito, Taito, Nigaito, and Kikaito. They all lived together up until Kaito became a Vocaloid, he moved out, and it was just the other four left together. Even so, Kaito’s brothers are all fiercely supportive of him and are down to do whatever they can to help him out.

Akaito is the oldest and is pretty much the leader of the family. He’s an incurable flirt and a rowdy prankster at heart, but he’s got a good head on his shoulders and knows exactly how to take care of his brothers. He loves habanero peppers and pretty much anything spicy.

Taito is the stoic middle sibling and has...strange hobbies, to say the least. Nonetheless, despite his cold attitude and general creepiness, he’s not a bad guy. In fact, he actually has a soft heart deep down...really deep down. He has outright stated he’d, without hesitation, kill anyone that tried to hurt his brothers.

Nigaito is often mistaken for being the youngest due to his stature, but he’s actually only the second-youngest. He’s extremely prone to illness and his diminutive height is related to his weak immune system. Nonetheless, he likes baking, making tea, and writing poetry. He’s generally shy and quiet, but his poetry shows off a secret cynical attitude that he rarely shows in public.

Kikaito is the youngest of the Shion siblings. He was born deformed and was given three robotic limbs (an arm and two legs) to compensate for it. Despite this, Kikaito is a cheerful optimist and there’s close to nothing that can bring his mood down. Ever since Kaito became a Vocaloid, Kikaito has wanted to become one as well, but his applications keep getting rejected. For his birthday, Kaito got him a scarf he had made especially for Kikaito: a genuine piece of Vocaloid apparel. Kikaito’s worn it every day since.

As for Kaito, he’s a timid wallflower with a big heart and probably one of the sweetest people in existence. He also seems to run into WAY more bad luck than one life should ever allow and it always seems like life is throwing another mishap Kaito’s way just to mess with him. Nonetheless, Kaito perseveres, noting the support of his friends and brothers as the fuel that keeps him going. He’s supernaturally good at getting into roles for performances and whatnot and the way he can slip into a character that acts so different from himself often terrifies those that witness it for the first time.

There’s more to the Shion brothers than just this, but that would be getting into plot spoiler territory (because yes there is a plot and it is very elaborate). Also, for anyone wondering where the rest of the Shions are, I decided to only choose the most popular ones (aka the ones i liked best heh oops), so rip Mokaito, Baito, Daito, and whatever those other ones are. (I imagined once that Mokaito is, like, that weird cousin that just kind of exists that works in a coffee shop somewhere or something, so you could probably interpolate something similar for the others, if you so wished, I suppose)

ALTHOUGH, Zeito and Kageito DO exist in this Vocaverse, though they are not actually Shion siblings. What are they? Well, you’ll just have to wait to find out~.
