The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is powered by a 346cc air-cooled engine that produces 19.1 bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque. Know About the basic parts of a motorbike
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Riding from Manali to Leh on a bullet is a dream for many youngsters. Are you one among the lot? Moreover, it is said that riding provides a lot of relief to the human brain and body. You also agree with the statement, don’t you? A long-distance ride can prevent stress from accumulating in the body.  Wherever you go for a ride, nature and the road are your best friends. But one more factor that you should concentrate on is your bike. The smooth running of the vehicle is very important for a successful ride. During a journey, the climate plays an important role. Many a time, rain hinders traveling. Does riding in heavy rain exaggerate the heat of the engine? Thus, having proper knowledge of the parts of motorbike. It is very necessary. If you read the article, you know the best way to react in an unfortunate situation. So, here are the description of the basic parts of a motorbike.
Basic parts of motorbike-Engine
It is the machine that powers the motorcycle and keeps the vehicle running. The engine controls the transmission and looks after the smooth operation of the machine. The valve is one of the important parts of the engine. It helps in combustion. Thus, the flow of air and fuel to other components of the bike is possible. You can count the engine as one among the basic parts of motorbike.
Basic parts of motorbike-Carburetor
It blends the air and fuel for helping the engine in combustion. It contains valves, chambers, and tubes. It mainly focuses on mixing the air & gasoline for the bike to run efficiently. It is an open pipe through which fuel passes to the engine. You can count the carburetor as one among the basic parts of motorbike.
basic parts of motorbike-Cylinder
One of the important places in the engine, where the combustion takes place. When the piston moves up, it compresses the gasoline & air mixture. Thus, combustion takes place. Then the piston comes down. The engine consists of two cylinders. It acts as a lever for the motorcycle. There can be a maximum of 6 cylinders to support the engine in combustion.
Pistons-
Pistons help in transferring the power from the engine to other parts of the bike. This also helps in the movement of the wheels. In some engines, it acts as a valve by covering ports in the cylinder. You can count the pistons as one among the basic parts of motorbike.
Fuel tanks-
It is located above the engine. It stores the fuel, according to the fuel capacity of the vehicle. It has a reserve section that stores extra liters of fuel for an emergency. The bike should be refueled before hitting the reserve mark. You can count the fuel trank as one among the basic parts of motorbike.
Oil and fuel filters-
These filters avoid the dust and dirt to enter the fuel tank. If dirt enters the fuel tank, it may hamper the functioning of the engine. They are mostly found in internal combustion engines. They play an important function in the modern-day tight-tolerance fuel systems.
Wheels-
Tumblr media
How can you describe a wheel of the motorcycle? They are one of the most parts of motorbike. Without them, can the two-wheeler move from one place to another? Therefore, all motorcycles are equipped with two wheels. It consists of tire, rim, spokes, and hub. The spokes help in the sliding movement for the wheels.
Handlebars-
Tumblr media
You have seen the steering wheel in a car. But unlike it, bikes have handlebars for easy control. The handlebars allow you to give directions to the bike. And it is recommended to use a rubber grip on the handlebars. With the rubber grip, the riding of your bike will be more comfortable. You can count the carburetor as one among the “basic parts of motorbike”.
Speedometers-
Tumblr media
It is located in the middle of the handlebar. It is mainly digitized and shows the amount of speed you are running the bike. It is always suggested that you ride slow and follow the traffic rules to prevent accidents.
Battery-
The battery helps the engine to pump up and ensure the smooth running of the bike. If your bike is standing idle for many days, the battery dies and you cannot start your bike. Moreover, if the engine is the brain of the bike, the battery is the heart. These are the main important components of the bike. But there are some other small parts which also play an important role. 1- Headlamp- You can say it as the eye of your bike. In low visibility areas and darkness, the headlights are your best friend. 2- Brakes- Always check the brakes before you go for a travel. It helps you to control and stop the bike. 3-Seat- This is the place where you will sit before you start your ride. Check if your seat is comfortable or not. 4- Kickstand- It helps the bike from falling on the ground. For Bike Lovers Are you a bachelor who respects your bike as your first spouse? Then you will ensure that the best maintenance service is given to the vehicle. Having a bike and riding it makes you feel respected in society.  And these days, every youngster within 25 years can become a millionaire, provided he/she has the idea and the courage to go through the hassles. Two decades ago, it was very rare to see expensive bikes in Asian countries such as India/Pakistan. But now, they have become very common. Let us look at some motorbike models preferred by youngsters. Yamaha YZF R15 V3 KTM 250 Duke Bajaj Pulsar 150 Honda Activa 5G TVS Apache RTR 160 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bajaj Pulsar 220 F KTM 200 Duke Hero Splendor Plus Yamaha MT-15 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Bajaj Pulsar RS200 TVS Apache RR 310 KTM 125 Duke Conclusion Hope you gained enough information on the important parts of a motorbike. And it is necessary that you give the two-wheeler maintenance service as per the need. And when you are going for a long-distance ride with your friends, checking with the bike mechanic before travel is a must. For example, let us say your friends have planned for a bike trip from Bangalore to Manali. The distance is long and your motorbike needs to be in top condition. It is mandatory, that the minor repairs get fixed and the parts get the respect they deserve. But do you have time to take the motorbike to the mechanic or service shop? You bet. But there is a way to make the best mechanic providing doorstep bike service in Bangalore come to the home to give your two-wheeler service. Have you heard about the companies providing handyman services in Bangalore? They will have reputed bike mechanics in their customer care team. You do not even have to call the number of the company or indulge in customer chat on their website. The best way to complete the request is to place via the company’s app through your mobile. The advantage – you get to know the best motorbike mechanics in the city, their charges, and their address details. You can select the best pro, and he will come to your home to complete the job. New Jawa Perak Bobber First look
Jawa Motorcycles celebrated its return to the Indian market in November 2018 with the launch of two new products: Jawa 42 and 'Jawa'; price of Rs 1.55 per lakh and 1.64 Lakh's former show (Delhi), respectively. In addition to this duo, the Czech-owned brand owned by Mahindra & Mahindra introduced another motorcycle, Java Perak.
Jawa Perak Bobber has instantly become a magnet for this event thanks to its stunning aesthetics and comfort factor being the most affordable popper motorcycle in India. Although the Jawa Perak was not launched, its price was confirmed at the previous showroom at 1.89 rupees (Delhi). To learn more about the more affordable popper sold in India, we recommend you review the first review of Joa Perak. We will participate in a detailed review of the first trip when we put our hands on one; of course, after its release.
Being a popper, Perak contains only one seat and may not be the most practical option that you can do. Represents a unique race of motorcycles in a modern symbolic form. On the other hand, "Jawa" and "Jawa 42" are the desired classics every day and can be considered a good alternative to those in the Royal Enfield Classic 350. If you want to know which of the three is best for you, see a brief comparison between Jawa 42 Jawa and Jawa Perak. All of these motorcycles have their own character. Jawa Perak is operated by a 334 cc liquid-cylinder single-cylinder engine producing torque of up to 30 hp and 31 Nm of torque. This is in addition to a six-speed transmission. With the dual-exhaust system, the Perak should also look good (even though it is a single motorcycle). Jawa 'and Jawa 42 are an average mileage of 30 to 35 km / liter. Java Perak, being a little stronger, can bring back fewer kilometers. Essentially, the engine is an improved version of the 293C unit running Jawa and Jawa 42. The 293cc 27bhp and 28Nm units are removed while coupling with the same six-speed gearbox.
Thoughts on Jawa Perak As mentioned above,
Jawa Perak will be a unique choice in the one-cylinder motorcycle sector in India. The very attractive aesthetics of Popper and the heritage of Java motorcycles in India and abroad are two major selling factors. What do you think of Java Perak? Tell us in the comments section below.

Bajaj Auto has hiked prices of its flagship motorcycle Bajaj Dominar 400 by Rs. 2000, both for the ABS and non-ABS variant. The non-ABS version of the Dominar 400 will now cost Rs. 1.38 lakh, while the top-end model with dual channel ABS will come at Rs. 1.52 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). Stating the reason for the price hike, a company spokesperson told carandbike.com that, "We had mentioned at the launch of the bike (Dominar 400) that the prices are introductory and will be increased a few months later."
The Bajaj Dominar 400 was launched in India on the 15th of December 2016 and is currently the most powerful motorcycle from Bajaj Auto. Positioned as a power cruiser in the Indian two-wheeler market, the Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.3 cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid cooled engine borrowed from KTM 390 Duke that has been revised for the Dominar and it also meets Bharat Stage IV (BS-IV) emission regulations. The engine gets Bajaj's signature DTS-i, triple spark technology and makes 34.5 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque, with a 6-speed transmission.
Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 34 bhp 373 cc single-cylinder engine
Being the company's flagship motorcycle, the Bajaj Dominar 400 also brings several best-in-class features to the table. The bike offers features like all-LED headlamp and daytime running lights, Auto Headlamp On (AHO) function, reverse backlit instrumentation and slipper clutch. All these make the Dominar 400 the most feature-rich bike in its price segment. And despite the price hike, the Dominar 400 still remains a good value for money product. And we have already told you that in our review.
The Bajaj Dominar has also been very well received in the Indian market. In fact, a month after the launch, the company has revealed that a maximum number of bookings received for the Dominar 400 is for the ABS variant, which also shows how customers are now open to paying more for better safety features.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 competed in a price segment dominated by Royal Enfield
Now, during the launch of the bike, Eric Vas, President, Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto told carandbike.com that the company aims to capture 20 per cent of the market share, which is roughly about 10,000-12,000 units a month. So far, the Bajaj has sold over 12000 units of the Dominar 400, amounting to average monthly sales of 3000 bikes. So seeing the numbers Bajaj still has a long way to go before the said target is achieved. Having said that the company doesn't sell the Dominar 400 pan India and it is still only available in selected cities. The company says that it is working on increasing the sales network for the Dominar 400 and these sales numbers will start going up soon.
In India, the Bajaj Dominar 400 competed in a price segment dominated by Royal Enfield. While Bajaj has been notching up sales numbers with the Dominar 400, it still lags behind the market leader in this segment. Royal Enfield sells over 50,000 bikes every month with sales of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 bikes accounts for about 80 per cent of those numbers.
