Tamannaah Bhatia to headline Dharmatic Entertainment produced start-up dramedy for Prime Video: Report
This marks the second project Dharmatic Entertainment following Showtime, starring Emraan Hashmi and Naseeruddin Shah. It is set for a summer 2024 release.
Tamannaah Bhatia is set to collaborate with Dharma Productions’ digital wing, Dharmatic Entertainment, for an upcoming start-up dramedy, set for Prime Video India. While the title of the project is kept under wraps, Archit Kumar of Dr. Arora fame will be directing this light-hearted series.
As per a report in Peeping Moon, this dramedy will feature two women and the casting for the second lead is underway. The report states, “Currently in pre-production, filming is slated for mid-March or early April, creating anticipation for a nuanced exploration of the highs and lows of the startup journey.” The actress is all set to explore yet another different genre with the upcoming tipsy dramedy.
This marks the second project Dharmatic Entertainment following Showtime, starring Emraan Hashmi and Naseeruddin Shah. It is set for a summer 2024 release.
For Tamanaah Bhatia, this marks her sixth digital project, following Prime Video’s Jee Karda, Netflix’s Plan A Plan B and Lust Stories 2 and Disney+Hotstar’s Aakhiri Sach and Babli Bouncer.
On the work front, Tamannaah Bhatia will next star in John Abraham starrer Vedaa, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Bole Chudiyan, and Tamil movie Arnamanai 4.

The deal, registered on December 27, 2023, saw Abraham pay a noteworthy Rs 4.24 crore in stamp duty.
Coming to the professional front, the 51-year-old actor was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. He played the antagonist in the Siddharth Anand directorial. The film was released in January 2023.
John has a bunch of upcoming films in his kitty. He will be sharing the screen space with Manushi Chhillar in Tehran. Directed by Arun Gopalan, it is slated to release on April 26, 2024. Neeru Bajwa will also be seen playing a pivotal role in the movie.
In addition to this, he also has Vedaa, the Nikkhil Advani directorial, which is currently under production. Last year, in August, he wrapped its Jodhpur schedule. Besides him, the film will also star Sharvari Wagh and Tamannaah Bhatia. Vedaa is a production of Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment. The film is currently being filmed and is scheduled to release next year.

After his strong comeback with Khaidi No 150, trade circles have been betting big on his films because they fetch strong openings in all territories. His previous outing Waltair Veerayya emerged as the biggest blockbuster in his career and reinstated his box office charisma.
Quite shockingly, his upcoming film Bholaa Shankar is carrying very little buzz everywhere. Even though Meher Ramesh has a poor track record due to a string of flops, many expected that Chiranjeevi's stardom will bail out Bholaa Shankar. However, the advance sales paint a sorry picture because they are disconcertingly low with just three days to go before its release.
The pre-sales of Bholaa Shankar in North America are very dismal. Trade circles are shocked by the lukewarm response so far. The buzz in the Telugu States is also no different. It seems like the fact that the film is a remake and the underwhelming songs and teasers have impacted the buzz very much.
Going by the current trend of bookings, Bholaa Shankar is likely to take an ordinary start in all areas. Only solid word of mouth and unanimous reviews can change the fate of the film.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) , September 13 (AF): What happens when a woman who does the matchmaking, falls for a man who handles divorces? Can opposites attract? Well, to get the answers, you will have to wait until Riteish Deshmukh and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer streams on Netflix, but for now, look at the fun trailer of their new film, unveiled on Tuesday.
Taking to his Instagram handle, the 'Bahubali' actor treated fans with the trailer of her new show.
Sharing the video, Tamannaah wrote, "Can these two complete opposites - a matchmaker & a divorce lawyer - look past their differences? Stream the quirkiest romance of the year, Plan A Plan B on 30th September, only on @netflix_in."
'Plan A Plan B' showcases the story of a wedding planner Nirali Vora (played by Tamanna Bhatia) and a divorce lawyer Kaustubh Choughale (played by Riteish) who falls in love despite having opposite opinion on love.
The film is all about marriages, divorces, swipe rights and everything in between.
Talking about the making of the film, Shashanka Ghosh shared, "In life, plans get made. Then something happens and the best-laid plans go haywire- and that's exactly how this unique story came to life. The script came to me from the writer Rajat Arora, and the moment I read it, I was instantly excited to work on this theme. Making Plan A Plan B with Riteish, Tamannaah and Poonam Ji has been such a fun experience and their infectious energy and chemistry have translated in every shot of the film. This film is a sweet romantic comedy that is lighthearted and fun and we hope Netflix audiences will enjoy it."
Speaking about his experience of writing the film, Rajat Arora said, "Plan A Plan B is a quirky romance that will win your hearts. It is the classic story about 'do opposites attract' but is depicted in a spirited new way that we hope will be a solid entertainer.
