R!DAI Companions + Advisors with an Inquisitor that wants a baby (and/or is pregnant)
Hey guys, I'm alive. This is something I've had for a while, and it's also the longest post I've made. So... yeah. Sorry I don't post all that much, I promise I'm trying.
Anyways, enjoy this self-indulgent fluff piece that I've been working on.
This had every companion, romanced except for Cole, Leliana, and Vivienne (so that means you get romanced Varric in this, you're welcome.)
HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD! And slight NSFW, nothing too bad, just Bull being sex-positive.
TOKOPHOBIA WARNING
It started innocently enough, the Inquisitor would wander around Skyhold, visiting their friends and lover, just to check in (or give their lover a smooch.) Then a squeal of delight was heard, probably by everyone from Undercroft to the Rookery, that came from the Inquisitor. What they were squealing and cooing about? A baby. A chubby, chortling baby a pilgrim had brought to Skyhold that the Inquisitor had practically stumbled into. The Inquisitor was so enamored with the child, that they ended up spending the rest of the day wandering around Skyhold with the little one.
Then it got worse.
Parents, unable to resist the temptation of the Inquisitor offering to take their little ones for a stroll while they got some well-deserved rest, happily gave the Inquisitor their children. The children that did get babysat by the Inquisitor had far more fun than expected, walking along the battlements, eating a meal or two curated by the Inquisitor, and even being told stories of their exploits. The children of Skyhold grew to adore the Inquisitor, and the Inquisitor adored them in turn.
Soon enough, The Inquisitor became often sidetracked while on missions (more so than usual.) They would stop in their tracks to hold up a trinket or a flower and smile to themselves, telling their companions how they intended to give whatever they held to a specific child. By the time the mission was over, the Inquisitor had lined their pockets with various items to give to the children.
All of this led to the Inquisitor’s friends and/or lover asking “why?” To which the Inquisitor looked them dead in the eye and shrugged.
“I want a baby of my own.”
Blackwall/Thom Rainier:
Platonic: Blackwall shrugs, he gets it. The kids are cute. And it’s far more healthy for the Inquisitor to spend time taking care of other people’s children rather than go out and just… have one.
Not like he wouldn’t mind, Uncle Rainier sounds like a nice title, right? Hopefully, The Inquisitor wants a hand-carved cradle when they have their child.
Romanced: He goes “Uh… is that… something you… want to do… now?” Rainer never truly saw himself settling down officially. He didn’t think he truly deserved that. But the idea of having a few kids? With the woman he loves? Top-tier fantasy in his book. And now with his true identity out of the way, he feels a little better about his future. Especially with his lover.
He needs to hear his lover say “not right now” because he would be more than happy to give his Inquisitor a few kids, and he wouldn’t have the mental strength to say no if they asked.
Now if his lover does, by some chance, get pregnant. He’s over the moon. He fights harder, and faster, always eager to end Corypheus and retire. He’s such a sappy guy too, always wanting to stay as close as possible to his lover. So one should expect him to personally request that he be sent out all the time with The Inquisitor. That man has a nursery ready to go by the time The Inquisitor’s ready to give birth. He carves a cradle, high chairs, and everything the baby could need. He’s willing to build a palace with his two bare hands for his family.
Cassandra:
Platonic: She gets it. Kids are super cute, why not have a few? If she didn’t become a seeker, she knows she would have a few of her own, whether she wanted to or not. But hopefully, the Inquisitor isn’t planning on having any now. Like… now, now. Because the Inquisition still needs them, she still needs them.
If The Inquisitor ends up pregnant or their partner ends up pregnant, she gets furious. She chews them out a little, claiming how immature they are for bringing a child into the world when the world is in so much turmoil.
She calms later, especially when the child is born, recognizing the love The Inquisitor and their partner show for the child. She doesn’t apologize, as she’s still pissed, but she does adore the child.
Romanced: “Oh.” She says before her face goes completely red. She’ll have to pull them aside and talk about their future together. She’s honestly flattered when the Inquisitor claims they want to have children with her. She’d be a liar if she said she didn’t want kids of her own, especially with the Inquisitor, but the both of them ought to know that they can’t… not yet… anyways. But once all the rifts are closed and they have some more time for themselves, then… then, yeah. Yeah, she would like that.
Maker, help her if she ends up pregnant, she’ll be extremely stressed, for both her and her lover’s sake. One should expect her to refuse to go out on missions until the baby is born, and expect her to be furious when her lover goes too.
Cole: He understands, mainly because he read the Inquisitor’s mind, but he understands deeper than that. He thinks the Inquisitor would be an excellent parent, especially with how they treat him (if high affinity.) He holds a great deal of respect for them, and he knows that their heart is full of a very fluffy, wholesome type of love. One that Cole is more than happy to reciprocate.
If the Inquisitor does end up having children, Cole is a very willing babysitter, as he doesn’t sleep and he’s able to tell what exactly a baby wants.
Cullen Rutherford:
Platonic: Cullen furrows his brow before his gaze softens. He understands, he does. The thought of a little house, a family dog, and the sounds of little feet pittering against the floorboards, it’s nice. But that life is… unachievable, especially for a man like him. A man who is so busy, who has no right to live such a dreamy life. But The Inquisitor? They deserve that. They truly do.
He doesn’t need to ask if they mean right then and there, he knows what they mean and that they don’t intend on bringing in a child just yet.
“You would be wonderful.” He says, placing a comforting hand on their shoulder
If the Inquisitor ever ends up pregnant, Cullen won’t be able to stay very calm at all. He encourages the Inquisitor to stay behind in Skyhold but gives up when the Inquisitor becomes stubborn. He eventually has to turn to Leliana or Cassandra for help.
Romanced: It’s a simple desire, to have children. And Cullen’s had it every once in a while, like when he was in Kirkwall and saw a small child toddle towards another templar. He watched his colleague’s wife follow after the child, about to scold the babe for interrupting their father in the middle of work. The templar, instead, scooped the child up in his arms and showered the child’s pudgy face in kisses. That domestic bliss was something Cullen found himself longing for. But he was too busy, life was too busy. And then The Chantry exploded, and he was in The Inquisition… he couldn’t think about that. Not until he met his Inquisitor. Now he imagines what life will be like after the pair are finished. If The Inquisitor has already affirmed that they aren’t leaving him, Cullen’s willing to have a family with The Inquisitor, as long as the two are finished with Corypheus first.
But if life finds a way… he’s happy and nervous. He begs his lover to stay behind in Skyhold, terrified of the billion things that could go wrong. Of course, rifts must be closed, so, against his better judgment, he lets her go.
His dreams get progressively worse when she’s away, it was always like that… but the dreams are worse when she’s pregnant. It gets to a point where he goes weeks without sleep, aside from the occasional nap that he gets jolted up from. The second his lover is back, Cullen whisks her away from the War Room and ushers her back to her quarters, where he has a healer check on her and the baby. Once he is certain she is fine, and the sun has gone down, Cullen lays down next to his lover and passes out into a dreamless slumber.
Dorian Pavus:
Platonic: “Oh that is hilarious.” He laughs before his smile falls, “Wait you’re serious?”
He listens to his friend, but worriedly reminds them how dangerous it is to bring a child into the world, especially with the Inquisitor in such a highly scrutinized role.
If the Inquisitor assures him that they don’t plan on having kids just yet, he’s relieved, but secretly disappointed. He does like babies… when they’re not puking or pooping.
Now if the Inquisitor is planning on having a child or is already pregnant, he’s ecstatic. He’s all over that and can’t wait until the baby comes. The man buys cribs, toys, parenting books, and much more. Don’t be surprised if he gets a “world’s best uncle” wine glass or something.
Romanced: He jokes, “We could just adopt, I’m sure there are plenty of little Tevinter babies that need two insanely beautiful fathers.”
Now, he is joking, but he’s secretly terrified. But not because he’s worried he’ll be a lousy father or anything, he knows he’ll be different from his father. But, the thought of having kids is something he always knew he was going to do. And then everything happened with his father and his Amatus, and now he feels like… he has a choice? He can say no. He can say yes. He can adopt, or have a surrogate. He doesn’t have to fit into the status quo anymore.
But what if something happens? What if something goes wrong? What if he isn’t able to provide for his child the way they deserve?
It takes some talking down from his Amatus for him to truly relax. The two will need to speak about what they both plan future-wise. And while Dorian may not follow the same ideals as most of Tevinter, he still plans on putting a ring on it before they have kids. After all, they have to have some decorum. But, he also wants to get married because he does love his Amatus and marriage just makes things feel more official.
Iron Bull:
Platonic: He likes kids, so he gets it, too. He may not outright encourage it, but he assures the Inquisitor how great of a parent they’ll be. Now, if the Inquisitor does end up pregnant, he’s overjoyed… on their behalf… not, like, because he wants to be called an uncle or something… (he wants to be called “uncle” very badly)
He makes the kid an honorary member of the Chargers and attempts to make the little one a onesie that has an embroidered “Bull’s Chargers” lettering on the front.
It takes him all of the pregnancy, but once the baby is born the child has a lovely little onesie that looks incredible. He won’t admit it, but that embroidery took way too long than anyone expected.
Romanced: “We can make that work.” He smiles. Honestly, he assumes that The Inquisitor might have some sort of kink. He’s more than happy to oblige. If the Inquisitor doesn’t clarify what they desire, claiming that they want a baby, Bull watches them closer. He notices small things that make him draw his conclusions. The way his lover holds a small child, how they speak to them, and how sad they look when they have to hand over the child to their parents at the end of the day. He will bring it up in the next few days, and eventually ask them if they want to be parents together, once everything is handled. He wouldn’t mind a kid or two, if his kadan wants it, Bull knows his kadan would be one hell of a parent.
Maker help him if The Inquisitor ends up pregnant, he’s so happy he can’t bother himself by being nervous. Just kidding, he’s super nervous. The Qun doesn’t have fathers, how the hell is he supposed to be there for his kid when he has no idea what kids need?
He needs constant reassurance and ends up going to Krem for advice on taking care of children. Krem had siblings, so he should know… right?
He has his game face on by the time The Inquisitor has the baby, Bull read every single book on childbirth, so he’s basically an expert. He’s all about that counter pressure and breathing techniques, so much so that the midwives are impressed themselves.
Josephine Montilyet:
Platonic: She sighs, one of those dreamy sighs, “Oh I completely understand, well… a little bit. I’m sure having children is much different from having siblings, so I’m certain it’s better.”
She knows the Inquisitor isn’t going just to waltz off and get pregnant or get someone else pregnant. But she does clarify if they want a child right then and there. If they say that they intend to have a child as soon as possible, she may faint.
She’s stressed if the Inquisitor or their partner ends up with a child, and gently encourages the pair to get maybe married. Less of a reputation sting that way. If they refuse, she mentally prepares herself for questions from nobles and a few Orlesian nobles who were interested in The Inquisitor themselves.
Romanced: She smiles, “I would… like that.” She says. She’s come from a big family, Josephine would be a liar if she said she didn't want to have a big family of their own. But then she proceeds to clarify “not right now.”
“I do think about children, but you and I both know what a terrible idea it would be to bring them into their lives now." She also clarifies that she intends to cross a few relationship milestones too.
Leliana: A decade younger, Leliana would’ve been right next to The Inquisitor, cooing over the children they affectionately spoke so much about. But Leliana was older… and admittedly more cynical now. It didn’t help that Leliana was now a spymaster in the Inquisition.
“I… understand, but do try to resist any temptation that points you towards… having any children at the moment.” She says plainly.
Maker helps Leliana if The Inquisitor has children with their partner. She’ll end up frustratingly baby-proofing the entirety of Skyhold.
She’s happy when she finally meets the baby, and she can’t help but soften for a little while as she gazes down at the newborn. Her faith somehow returns and any doubts she had over the Maker disappear, as if there was no Maker, how could something so perfect exist? At least, she thinks that until someone looks at her, then she’s all business again.
Sera:
Platonic: Not interested, or at least, the statement doesn’t faze her. Why would such a badass want little kids? Snotty… annoying… chubby cheeked… super cute- okay, she gets it.
She tells her friend they would probably be a good parent, but would also totally not believe the Inquisitor if they were pregnant or got their partner pregnant. It would only be until she saw The Inquisitor or their partner’s bump that she would accept that maybe they were having a baby.
She loves the kid like a sibling and often offers to make cookies for the baby, not realizing that the baby cannot have solid food for the first few months. She counts down the days when she can goof around with the kid on her own, whenever that might be.
Romanced: Laughs for a while, only to pause when she sees the serious look on her lover’s face.
“You’re serious? You want…” She thinks for a moment before laughing again, “Yeah… I’d want that too! We’d be great mums!” She giggles.
She’s super on board, and would be the “fun mom.” This means The Inquisitor would be the one that would have to discipline the children. But aside from that, Sera’s all over having kids.
Solas:
Platonic: High approval Solas would approve, he would nod and tell The Inquisitor that they would be an excellent parent, that they have the wisdom and patience that would be fit for a parent. He advises them to wait, first, as having a child while Corypheus is still at large is a terrible idea.
Low approval, he kind of just nods. He tells them that they should wait if they intend to have a child, as it’s a bad idea. He doesn’t do much else, no encouragement, just a simple shrug, and sigh. He doesn’t care.
Regardless of approval, if the Inquisitor or their partner ends up pregnant, and Solas is still there, he sort of freaks out. His main concern is the mark and its effect on the child, but once that’s ruled out, he still feels guilty. Hopefully, he leaves before the child is born. Because he cracks when he sees them for the first time. Does he really have it in him to end the world when someone as pure and untouched as that child exists?
It takes some deliberation, but he does. And he leaves, praying he never meets the child ever again.
Romanced: He pauses, were they… serious?
Solas can’t help himself but imagine a life with his vhenan, away from responsibilities, with a few children surrounding the pair. He’d be a liar if that lovely thought didn’t cross his mind when he would steal gazes at his vhenan, but… that’s all it was… right? A thought.
He claims that his vhenan would be an excellent parent, but also ensures that he doesn’t want children, not before Corypheus is defeated. But maybe it’s an accident. He breaks his rule of not sleeping with Lavellan under false pretenses. Once his vhenan is pregnant, his actions depend on The Inquisitor’s dialogue choices. If The Inquisitor were to drink from the Well of Sorrows and then affirm Solas’ choice of fixing the past, he would leave. Not without incredible pain, but he leaves. But if by some chance, by some sliver of a chance, Lavellan says the right things, Solas stays. He hates himself for it, so he promises himself he’ll stay until the birth. Then he looks at his child and weeps. Like if he was platonic, Solas is thrown into turmoil, how could he destroy the world of a child? His child? So he resolves to stay and give up on his mission.
On another note, if he leaves, and Lavellan sees him in Trespasser, he’s more willing to take his vhenan and his child with him.
Varric Tethras:
Platonic: Varric laughs, “Now that would be a twist… The great Inquisitor, changing diapers in between closing rifts and demon fights.” He smiles to himself.
As a dwarf, their fertility is comparatively lower than the other races, and honestly, he never thought of himself as a parent, at least, not until he met and started parenting Cole. Of course, he doubts he’ll ever have his own family, Bianca and he, it would never work out. But he can understand the desire.
He laughs so hard he cries if The Inquisitor or their partner ends up with a kid, like, hunched over, can’t breathe laughing.
He’s nervous for The Inquisitor, though, he knows how hard it is to be a parent, but having a kid while they’re so… important? It’s a recipe for disaster.
Might end up writing the kid out of the story if The Inquisitor requests, maybe The Inquisitor doesn’t want anyone knowing they potentially had a child out of wedlock.
Romanced: Varric doesn’t laugh, he just smiles. He hadn’t started thinking about having a family until he and The Inquistor started going out officially. He nods,
“I’d like that too.” He says, and the pair might find themselves discussing their future more often. Names for future children, where they’d live, does the Inqusitor want a dog?
He reminds his lover that Dwarves aren’t known for their fertility, but reminds his lover that “they can still try” and winks at his lover.
Varric is so caught up in the feeling of being loved so freely, that he sometimes forgets that there’s an evil, red-lyrium magister that wants to rip his lover apart piece by piece. It get’s him nervous, but he’s confident in their shared abilities. And damnit, he loves The Inquisitor, he’s not giving up on them.
He’s speechless if his lover comes up to him and confesses that they’re pregnant, like… actually speechless. He opens his mouth to say something before closing it. Then he just smiles and throws his arms around his lover and says that he loves them. He’s happy to be a dad… he’s happy to have a family, he’s happy to have something he never thought would be his.
Vivienne: She doesn’t laugh, at all. She’s kind of pissed.
“You aren’t planning on bringing in a child now? Not here, right?” She has to clarify.
She thinks the Inquisitor and their partner will be wonderful parents, but they shouldn’t have kids right then. They need to wait.
If the Inquisitor ends up pregnant/getting someone else pregnant, she scolds them fairly harshly, not to be mean or anything, she’s just upset with how “careless” they could be. If the Inquisitor tells her off or, Maker forbid, starts crying, she’ll feel bad. She doesn’t apologize, however, she knows that having a child while the world is still basically in peril and you’re the main person preventing utter chaos is one of the worst things you can do.
However, the second the child comes into the world, she’s all over them. She isn’t obvious and wouldn’t be caught dead with the kid on her own, but she can’t help but smile when she sees them all swaddled or when they look so chubby she just wants to eat them up. Only when she sees what a wonderful parent the Inquisitor is, she apologizes for being harsh. She does it in her way, so the Inquisitor shouldn’t expect an “I’m sorry” or anything, but they will get some sort of comment on how she may or may not have been wrong to judge them. Regardless, the Inquisitor better take what they can get.

Doing that thing I do and mashing my two favorite brain rots together (Dragon Age Inquisition + Inscryption)
Solas uses a Beast deck (So many wolves. Like all of the wolves. He's also been known to switch things up every now and again to keep from becoming stale/predictable, like using mantis gods and mole men, just cards that aren't his norm, basically)
Fen'harel uses a Beast/Magick deck (he has a lot of mythical animal based cards with higher costs, like Urayuli, Ouroboros, Long Elk, Hydra, ect. Also giant mox cards. Takes him a while to get set up but he's a nightmare once he gets there)
Dorian uses an Undead deck (Makes use of temporary cards, mostly uses them to keep his opponent on their toes and focused on the onslaught of damage while something like a Mummy Lord grows in the background. Also bone hounds, the less free space his foe has, the better)
Vivienne uses a Magick deck (She finds it utterly delightful to start off by playing relatively weak or useless cards and then breaking out the big mox/master cards to completely destroy her opponent)
Sera uses a Beast/Tech deck (makes use of sigils a lot. Lots of ants/bees and things that explode)
Cole uses a Beast deck (almost exclusively free cards, but he does have a few fucked up things. Like grizzlies and mole men. Probably has a cat)
Varric uses a Tech deck (a lot of trap based cards. Basically spends half the game trying to get his opponent to waste all of their cards via disabling/destroying his traps)
Iron Bull uses a Beast deck (mostly big boys and blood goats. He does have a few glass canons, like the Mantises.)
Blackwall uses a Beast deck (lots of pelts and things that create dams, also Alphas. Very defensive)
Cassandra uses a Beast/Undead deck (not a lot of undead cards, but she has them. They mesh well with her beasts, even if she's not the biggest fan of them)
Leliana uses a Tech deck (She is notably one of the only people who can easily switch up what type of deck she has. Has a solid grasp on how all of the decks work)
Cullen uses a Beast deck (very practical. Lots of things that will buy him time to gather up squirrels to release hard hitters)
Josephine uses a Magick/Tech deck (Utility. Everywhere.)

Happy Friday! I love Bad Things Happen Bingo. I am currently feeling some Cullen Rutherford / Aderyn Hawke + "near-death experience" from that list. Hope you're inspired for some delicious angst.... 👀
Summary: Aderyn happens across an open rift, decides to skip the queue, and pays the price for skipping in line. Rhys and his companions rush to assist only for her to mistake them for demons bent on overtaking her.
a/n: @nirikeehan asked for a near-death experience with Cullen and Aderyn from the Bad Things Happen Bingo for Friday’s @dadrunkwriting . Please forgive that this is a first draft and does not have all the bells and whistles.
Elizabeth’s Garden
-1-
Aderyn could feel it, a pull. Like a wave carrying the surf to shore, she rode the sensation, allowing it to carry her. Only when she saw the swirl of demons, did she dive for cover. Clinging to the edge of a boulder, she peeked over the edge. An blue-orange light shone through the dank green she’d come to be used to in the Fade. The edge crackled with the kind of energy she’d seen in the rifts at Adamant. She knew what it was, there was only one thing it could be.
Her eyes scanned the horizon. Dozens of beasts circled it, clawing at each other to fight for their chance to escape. A shred of doubt crept through her. She’d never make it past them all.
A flash burned through the darkness. She ducked back with a cry, thankfully her scream was covered by those of the dozen of so creatures, so she thought she might not have to worry about anything noticing her.
She hazarded another peek around the side of her hiding spot. She could see the sky beyond once more, and creatures streamed through the opening, fighting for a chance at the world beyond. She could hear screams and explosions beyond.
“Fighting,” she muttered. With the realization, she started around the boulder with more confidence than she’d had at any other moment during her time in the Fade. Fighting meant the Inquisition, meant Rhys. No one else would be so foolish as to go near the damn rifts except the Inquisitor. This was her chance.
The explosion pushed her backwards, tumbling into the air. The creatures who had been close were killed in the blast that closed the tear.
“No!” she screamed at the fading crackles of green energy. “Son of a bitch.” She twisted herself bodily, looking for any trace of another rift. Her nerves sparked with frenetic energy and anxiety.
“Calm down, fool,” she told herself. “You’ll find nothing like this.”
Aderyn drew in a deep breath and tried to calm her mind, tried to attune herself to the ebb and flow of the Fade once more. It took longer than she would have liked, but she had at least a theory of how she could get out, get back, get home again. Cullen’s face flashed in her mind, that soft smile he wore when she woke him up with kisses that first morning—that is where she most wanted to be.
She closed her eyes, remembering his soft kiss, then let go of the memory. She needed to focus, needed to blank her mind. It would be safer, too, such thoughts were likely to lure demons and she had no time for their nonsense.
The sensation was weak this time. “It must be farther away,” she sighed. She would have to hurry.
In the next instant, she pushed away from where she had been meditating like she had been sitting on a firm surface. The force propelled her in the direction of the sensation. As she got closer, the pull grew firmer. This time, when she saw the orange earth and bright blue sky, she did not hesitate. Maybe she could rush past the gathering of demons with the same designs as her.
As she flew past, fabric fluttering about her calves, something reached out and tore into her leg. She kicked it away, but it started her tumbling. She loosened a burst of frozen power that slowed the ones nearest her, and let her get her spinning under control. She could see it. The dust blowing across the surface, and she thought she recognized a flash of red, she could imagine to be Rhys’ sash.
Her heart leapt. Her eyes filled with tears. She would see him again, she thought as her body crashed into a wall.
“NO!” she howled at the shimmering image now locked beyond green crystal.
A screech from behind her, pulled her attention away. The terror grasped her throat, wrapping its spindly fingers around her neck twice before it squeezed. She didn’t need her voice to fight them off, she reminded herself. Though in reality, being able to speak would have made her fight easier.
-2-
“Be ready,” Rainier yelled, as the rift snapped and hummed angrily.
Varric and Rhys both took the moment to prepared themselves and reload. The Inquisitor always expected the worst from Rifts; they’d seen some monstrosities in the places where reality tore asunder.
Once the first demon appeared, Rainier rushed it, bashing at it with his shield. “Come on you blighted bastard.”
Varric, Dorian, and Rhys followed their usual strategy of taking out wraiths and other manifesting spirits first.
“What is that?” Dorian asked, his rhythm faltering as he pointed toward a lanky terror in the back of the pack.
“Demon. Kill it,” Rainier growled as he sliced through a rage demon’s molten form.
A icy spell flew across the field with a familiar shimmer.
“No, it’s carrying something.”
Bianca fell silent a moment as Varric’s attention diverted, too. “Not something.” He rushed forward toward the shifting rift. “Hawke,” he gasped, firing once again. “It’s got Hawke,” he yelled. “Come on you bastard, get a taste of this.”
The terror slammed the body in its fist against the ground.
“Hawke,” Rhys yelled, dashing forward.
Dorian barely got a barrier on the ranger, before the Inquisitor leapt at the demon and swung his bow like a two handed sword. He bashed it across the demon’s head, getting it to turn and screech in his face. Pulling his dagger, Rhys sliced at the beast, finally getting it to drop the limp woman on the ground.
“Varric!” he yelled. “Get her.”
He barely needed to say it before the dwarf was moving. Lifting her as gently as he could in his rush, he pulled her out of the terror’s reach, which just made it more pissed off.
Rhys felt a lightness in his chest at merely thinking she could be safe. Once she was out of the way, Dorian turned his full attention on the terror as Thom Rainier kept a pair of shades busy.
The fight was a complete mess. One of their worst. But not a damn one of them thought about that. With the last demon down, Rhys turned his attention toward closing the rift. Then he turned on his heels and rushed toward the edge of the water.
Dorian knelt beside her with his hands moving just over the unconscious form. Rhys studied her—the bruises on her neck, the scratches on her face, the wound on her leg. Using the dagger, he cut at the hem of Dorian’s robes and hopped into the water to douse it and clean the leg wound.
“Thom. Bandages,” Rhys yelled, his voice almost as frantic as it might be if it were Dorian lying in the wispy grasses.
Hands moved frantically over the unconscious woman. Rhys’ thoughts kept putting him in Cullen’s shoes. He couldn’t let her die again.
“Dorian,” he said, his voice shaking with anxiety.
“Hush!”
Rhys said nothing else, but did his best to bandage the gash on her leg in such a way as to staunch the bleeding. Rainier pushed him out of the way at one point and finished up the bandaging with much more control. Rhys took to pacing as he stared over them.
Varric whispered almost inaudibly to her, as if whatever he had to say might encourage her not to fade away.
Dorian cursed under his breath, it was the only Tevine Rhys could pick up on at all. The other words could have been a drink order for all the Inquisitor knew. It was in that moment, when something hit Rhys. He stopped cold and landed hard on his knees. The medallion around his neck was something he only really wore because his brother gave it to him when they stumbled upon one another a few years earlier. His voice echoed in his head, even if the words barely passed his lips.
His memory went right to the Trials: “Maker, though the darkness comes upon me, I shall embrace the Light. I shall weather the storm. I shall endure. What you have created, no one can tear asunder. Who knows me as You do? You have been there since before my first breath. You have seen me when no other would recognize my face. You composed the cadence of my heart. Through blinding mist, I climb A sheer cliff, the summit shrouded in fog, the base Endlessly far beneath my feet The Maker is the rock to which I cling. I cannot see the path. Perhaps there is only abyss. Trembling, I step forward, In darkness enveloped. Though all before me is shadow, Yet shall the Maker be my guide. I shall not be left to wander the drifting roads of the Beyond. For there is no darkness in the Maker's Light And nothing that He has wrought shall be lost. I am not alone. Even As I stumble on the path With my eyes closed, yet I see The Light is here.”
A weak cough interrupted his litany, and Rhys couldn’t stop the tears that rushed down his cheeks.
A little louder, he repeated Andraste’s own words, “‘The Maker is with us! His Light shall be our banner, And we shall bear it through the gates of that city and deliver it To our brothers and sisters awaiting their freedom within those walls, At last, the Light shall shine upon all of creation, If we are only strong enough to carry it.’” Only then did he scramble across the loose golden dirt.
She didn’t look much better than she had a moment earlier, but he did notice the barest shift in her chest with each slow breath.
“We need a litter,” Dorian said. His voice and pallor exhibited his sheer exhaustion.
“We’re not far from camp,” Rhys said. He was on his feet in an instant. “Keep them safe Thom,” he called over his shoulder.
-3-
Dorian held her wrist in his hand as he studied her face. His mind raced. This was nothing like he had ever heard of. He’d visited the Fade of course, but never like this. Never like Rhys had. And they had only been in the Fade for mere hours. She’d been there for six weeks.
“Drink, Sparkles.” Varric offered him a waterskin.
“This better be a vintage red,” the mage warned. He grimaced at the mouthful of water he got instead.
“I’ll by you a crate when we get back to Skyhold.”
“I’ll hold you to that.”
“I think you’re going to have to do something about this leg,” Rainer offered in a gruff, yet calm tone.
Dorian took another swig of water. It would help, but not as much as something with better body and a floral bouquet. He shifted slightly, and knelt over her leg. Before he even tried to tap into his magic, he worried he might have nothing left to help. Her blood pooled atop the sand, and oozed toward the water of the oasis.
He knew how much this meant to Rhys. The events at Adamant Fortress darkened his outlook so drastically, and Hawke’s loss there vexed him in a way that seemed irrevocable. Dorian knew that he couldn’t let her fall again, and not just for Rhys’ sake. Varric cradled her head, petting her hair and speaking to her in soft comforting tones, telling her about her brother and Cullen and the events she managed to missed while she was living out every mage’s wet dream.
While he didn’t agree with Varric’s assessment of Aderyn’s trip, especially given her current state, he knew more than a few magisters who might just take the trade to explore the Fade with all their senses intact and unhindered by sleep.
Tuning everything out, Dorian concentrated on her wound. He needed to at least slow the bleeding if he couldn’t stop it out right. He felt the warmth pool in his chest, then radiate down his arms as he hovered his hands over her leg. He whispered the incantation, and felt the warm drain away like water dripping off his fingertips. A cold crept up his spine, inching into his shoulders. Once the sensation reached his wrists, his head began to swim.
Thick hands grabbed onto him and held him upright. “I think that’s done it.” The voice sounded very far away and Dorian leaned back against the owner of it.
“I hope so.” They sat in silence. “I should have told him to bring Solas back with him.”
“Rhys’ll think of that,” Varric said with confidence.
“Sure he will,” Rainer agreed.
Dorian nodded weakly, staring up at the ridges above them.
-4-
Rhys bolted through camp and reached out to grab Cole by the lapels as he tried to skid to a stop. The two of them went tumbling in the sand. Rhys straddled him and leaned close over the spirit who held onto his wrists and looked at him with worry.
“Tell Cullen we found her,” he managed to whisper through his dry, cracking throat. “Go now!”
In the next instant, Cole was gone. He stumbled back to his feet and tried to yell, “Solas! Lace!” It came out more like a teenage boy whose hormones were set to hilarious.
Someone handed him a cup of water, he took one drink then poured it in his own face. Rhys grabbed hold of the scout and held onto his armor tightly. “I need a litter, now,” he said poking the young man in the chest before he letting him go. “And we’ll need horses.”
His mind clearly wasn’t moving as quickly as it should. He had to recount two or three times. “Five of them. No, six.”
“Ready the wagon,” Lace ordered instead.
“Yes,” Rhys agreed, point at her.
She crossed to him as he fell back to his knees again. “YOu need to drink, Inquisitor.”
“I have to get back. She looks rough. It slammed her into the ground. I don’t know if Dorian can keep her stable on his own. The fight was rough and her leg is just torn open,” Rhys rambled between drinks of water and bouts of choking.
“Who?” Solas asked, leaning on his staff and listening.
“Hawke.”
“You can’t be serious.”
Rhys stared up at him, and the mage’s countenance shifted from incredulousness to one of shocked belief.
“We should hurry.”
“Yes,” Rhys agreed, staggering to his feet with Lace Harding’s help. “Come on, they are at Elizabeth’s Garden.”
-5-
Varric’s voice played at the edge of her mind. “Can’t believe you and your dramatics. Just falling out of a rift in the middle of a desert oasis. You live for unbelieveable bullshit. I couldn’t even write this, no one would damn well believe it.”
Aderyn felt warm. Her back was warm, her skin. And the blue of the sky felt like a mirage. She wanted it to be real.
Please, Maker, let it be real.
She didn’t know if she could fight through the mirage of another damnable demon.
“Little Hawke actually admitted that he missed you. Can you believe it? I thought he might just choke on hsi tongue when he said it. And if you can believe it, Daisy’s pregnant. Carver’s beside himself. If you ask me, he probably needs some of your advice, though we both know he’ll just pretend he didn’t hear a word you have to say.”
A sob choked her. It was another trick. She tried to sit up, her eyes welling with tears, but something managed to keep her down. Everything went hazier. And she tried to find her voice. Suddenly, she yelled, “Liar!” and fell into sobs.
A hand took hers. She tried to pull away, brought her other hand up and scratched hard. At the hiss, a feeling of triumph surged through her.
“Aderyn,” Varric’s voice called again. “Aderyn. It’s okay. It’s Dorian. He wants to help.”
“Lies! You all lie.”
“What’s wrong?” a deep voice asked.
“A guess? She thinks we’re demons.” The voice was smooth, accented and lovely.
Aderyn tried to blink away the fog over her eyes. How could they mimic them? She barely knew Dorian. Surely, they needed something more engrained, she reasoned, trying to make sense of how the demons were able to so accurately throw those voices back at her. She thrashed again, trying to throw their weight off her, kicked trying to get herself back into the air, back where she might be able to fight them off. Or rest. She needed to rest, she realized as everything around her went black.

Having thoughts about Blackwall tenderly braiding Fem Adaar’s hair. Just her sitting on the floor between his legs as he weaves her hair into thick braids. Him throughly oiling her scalp as he makes the intricate parts. Him decorating her braids with ornate beads and thin shimmering chains. Him tilting her head back to press a loving kiss to her forehead when he’s finished. UGH I’M SICK

The Bremen Town Musicians (1959)
My rating: 4/10
Ich muss sagen, wenn vier Gestalten in den Fursuits durch mein Fenster kämen, würde ich wahrscheinlich auch erst mal laufen. Eine Frage stellt sich mir allerdings: Warum ist so viel in diesem Film pink?
Gotta say, if four people came through my window wearing those fursuits, I'd probably run too. I just have one question, though: Why is so much stuff in this movie pink?

Romanced!DAI Companions and Advisors (+ Platonic!Vivienne) when The Inquisitor returns to Skyhold late
(A/N: Heyyyy guys... I've missed you :) This past few months have been awful for me... but I'm back... teeheehee
I think this is gonna be really niche so I feel a need to explain what I was thinking??? Basically, The Inquisitor has been on a mission for a while now and they're returning extremely late at night.
Apologies for the inaccurate lore stuff, I don't think hours exist in Dragon Age because they don't have clocks? Or they do??? I dunno man I got a final tomorrow and I don't know if I'm gonna pass
Just know that the whole reason I got inspired for this was because it was late and I was imagining Vivienne watching The Inquisitor come back and her wrapping her robe around her waist like a mom watching their grown child come home from a rave or something
Once again, no beta we die like men
And happy late dragon age day, love y'all)
TW: Mentions of death
Blackwall/Thom Rainer: Unable to sleep. He’s waiting, whittling at the griffon he keeps. He doesn’t want to sleep anways, who will greet his lover? The wind? No. He’ll stay up, just for a few minutes longer, he tells himself… But soon he finds himself whittling into the early hours of the morning. That’s when there’s a stir of the guards, the whispers, and alerts are quiet, as to not wake up the many souls sleeping, but the message is clear.
His love has returned. And he will wait by the gate, a grin on his face and sleepiness in his eyes. He greedily hopes his lover may wish to sleep a few hours before the rest of Skyhold truly awakens.
Cassandra: She’s in bed, but not sleeping, reading a book. She’s trying to sleep, but her anxieties are getting to her. Somehow, ever since she got the letter saying that her love was returning, she fears even more. Her mind is plagued with images of an assassinated Inquisitor on the way back to her. Maker! Why didn’t that fool just bring her?
Just as she scoffs, she hears something of a commotion outside. She prays for a moment, the news is good, and she throws on her armor, knowing better than to leave her room without it, and rushes to the gate. This is where her fears are put to rest as she greets her lover, a relieved smile on her face. And it is with this her sleepiness finally settles in. after a quick word, she urges her lover to rest, with or without her. All that matters that they returned.
Cullen Rutherford: He hasn’t slept since his lover left. A few moments where he stares off into space, drifting off before yanking himself back into consciousness. So it feels normal for him as he scribbles away the missives on his desk, being sure to double check each one so he didn’t accidentally write something foolish in his sleep deprived state. Somehow, in this half-dead state of his, he can hear the murmuring of guards outside of his door, and one enters.
The guard has been ordered to inform Cullen of when they see The Inquisitor, so when they enter, Cullen knows what it’s for. And somehow, the sleepiness Cullen once had disappears, replaced with a drive he always feels when his lover returns. He rushes down the battlement steps, sure to not seem too desperate to his men. And in his excitement, he quickly meets his lover halfway on the bridge. They may be on their horse, but Cullen will happily walk back with them, looking up at them like they hold his whole world in their hands. When his lover gets off their horse, however, that is when he embraces them, a chaste kiss pressed to their cheek. This is when he finally asks them to rest with him, as his exhaustion is coming to bite him in the ass.
Dorian Pavus: Dorian has lied to himself multiple times throughout the night. He lied to himself claiming he didn’t care if he was asleep when his amatus returned from their very dangerous mission. So he lays in his bed for hours, trying to sleep. And when he can’t? He lies to himself, coming up with some excuse as to why his mind will not rest. So he waits in the library, sipping a glass of wine while attempting to read nonchalantly. Of course, he seemingly can’t. So he decides to wait on the battlements, claiming he must need some fresh air. Even though he despises how cold it is that night.
But, somehow, without meaning to, he notices the small group of people making their way across the bridge. And, without a reason at all, a huge weight is lifted off of Dorian’s shoulders.
He lets out a sigh and returns to the warmth of the library, happy to wait for his lover to come to him. And when he does, only then does Dorian finally agree to go to sleep.
Iron Bull: Doesn’t sleep, but this is because he knew his lover was coming back tonight. So he waits patiently in the tavern, a ear out and ready, waiting for murmurs of The Inquisitor’s return. And when he does hear, he happily shoots up from his chair and makes his way to the gate, happy to greet his lover.
Bull was only slightly worried to be away from his lover, he knew they could handle their mission without him, but still, who knows what could happen? But the news that The Inquisitor was coming back? That was enough to settle his nerves. But seeing… and feeling his lover in his arms? That is what truly relaxes him.
Josephine Montilyet: Josephine is the only one who is asleep, she was corralled to his bedroom by Leliana, who told Josephine that she would wake her up when The Inquisitor returned. True to her word, Leliana gently shook awake a sleepy Josephine who, wrapped in a robe, quickly made her way to the empty Great Hall. She situated herself onto Vivienne’s balcony. She happily watched her lover pass the gates a promptly made their way to her, greeting her with a gentle kiss, which Leliana thankfully turned away from. Afterwards she’s happy to lead her lover to bed, as the second the pair’s heads hit the pillow, the pass effortlessly into a dreamless sleep.
Sera: Sera’s mindlessly making arrows, her door is locked, as she grew tired of Cole trying to make his way into the room to encourage Sera to talk about her anxieties surrounding her Inky leaving without her. She doesn’t even know her lover has returned until she hears the door jiggle a bit before her lover’s voice calls, “Sera, I saw the light was on, are you awake?”
This is when Sera happily throws the door open and grabs her Inky and drags them inside her room, into her arms. The two were eventually found the next morning by a messenger, who reported The Inquisitor and Sera were fast asleep in a pile of various blankets and pillows.
Solas: Solas isn’t sleeping much either, somehow he can’t take his mind off of his vhenan. He completely understand why his lover would take another person on their adventure, potentially a different mage than him. But he worries when they’re away! And there’s not much to do in Skyhold when The Inquisitor is gone. Most servants and nobles steer clear from him. He busies himself painting the various frescos in the atrium. He’s just taken a break and decided to walk along the battlements, and that’s of course, when he sees his beloved. He’s happy to walk down the stairs of the battlements and meet his lover at the gate, awaiting them with open arms. He happily leads them away, whether to their bed in their room, where Solas will leave them to rest. Or if they prefer, they can spend a bit of time in the atrium alone, Solas would be happy to hear the stories of his vhenan’s journey.
Varric Tethras: Varric is rotating between the tavern and The Great Hall. Ever since he first got the letter from his lover, happily informing him of their return, he’s only been more nervous. Like Cassandra, he fears the image of a truly tragic hero, beaten down on the way back to the arms of their lover.
He thinks he’s been writing too much tragedy when he firsts gets that mental image
Nevertheless, he pushes through the night.
Eventually, he’s sitting at his usual spot near the fire, unhappily grumbling to himself, sounding like a real dwarf. His mind is racing, and he can’t seem to get the thoughts to stop. So, for one last time that evening, he walks out of the hall, preparing to return to the tavern for a drink and a song from Maryden. That’s when he sees his beloved standing by the gate, quietly talking with a solider who leads their horse away. They’ve returned and they’re safe, that’s all he needed to know.
When The Inquisitor finally catches a glimpse of their lover, all they see is a bright grin spread across his face.
Varric is happy to go along with whatever The Inquisitor wants, bed, a drink, a tale by the fire, he’s just relieved they’ve returned.
Vivienne: Vivienne lies to herself. The day that she hears The Inquisitor will be returning that evening, she nods and nonchalantly walks away. Yet she finds herself constantly checking the gate everytime there is movement in that direction. She has no idea why, however. Her friend, whom she doesn’t really call friend, is taking an awful long amount of time to just get back to Skyhold.
She justifies her musings on The Inquisitor’s safety as rationally as she can. If The Inquisitor dies, Thedas will be lost. If The Inquisitor dies, her position in court may affected. If The Inquisitor dies, she will be sad-
That is what gives her pause. She straightens her back, hands quickly going to her face as if to smooth out her frown that was previously there, and then she turns on her heel and returns to her sofa. She attempts to swallow down her fear the entire day, but as the night swiftly covers Skyhold, she finds herself unable to sleep. The moons is high in the sky when she emerges from her room, robe tightly wrapped around her. She is sure not a single soul will see her in such a… vulnerable state. She quickly makes her way to the balcony again, and stays there for what feels like an entire age. But just as she gets ready to sigh and return to a sleepless night in her bed, she hears a disturbance coming from the gate. That is where she sees The Inquisitor, alive and perhaps wrapped in the arms of lover. And with a sigh of… relief? She quietly returns to her chambers. Never speaking of this again.

by Thom S. Rainer | It began as a conversation at Church Answers where we have 2,000 church leaders interacting almost 24 hours a day. They can ask questions about their churches, or they can just interact with one another about the hopes and travails of ministry. I read as many of the comments as possible. This one caused me to pause. A pastor was interviewing with a search committee when one of the…

Companions as the MC recap
So over my twitch (twitch.tv/ADLegend21) I did a Dragon Age series where I played a world state where companions were the main characters of the various games. I didn’t want and overlap where said companion was in the same game or was elsewhere in a game so no DAO companions were eligible to be Hawke since Hawke leaves lothering in DAO which also meant that no DA2 companions could be the HOF since the games overlapped.
I went with the roster of Blackwall/Thom Rainer as the Hero of Ferelden, Vivienne De Fer as Hawke, and Zevran “Lavellan” Aranai as the Inquisitor.
Warden Rainier
For the headcanon, Rainier fled to Ferelden since that’s where Blackwall took him to join him and he was in Highever when the Couslands were attacked. Howe did manage to get the family, but Rainier met up with Duncan who continued what Blackwall wanted and brought Thom to the joining, while Thom was set on avenging the Couslands because they showed him a kindness when he deserved none. He survived and recruited Morrigan and Leliana after leaving Ostagar with Alistair. Rainier is big on peaceful conflict resolution and  redemption because of his backstory. He’s been on the bad side of politics twice now with his own mistake and seeing the Cousland’s fall to Howe in a similar way to the Caliers. This lets him recruit Sten in Lothering so he can offer the Qunari the redemption that he himself is also after. When finding out news in Denerim he stumbles upon Genetivi and pursues the Urn of Sacred ashes first and a clash with Sten. The two come to respect the others abilities and they rescue Genetivi and obtain some of the ashes as a reward for protecting them from the Cult.
Zevran is also recruited as a means to gain the upperhand on Loghain and a way to watch out for more Crows. Shale is also recruited and Morrigan starts to complain about her tent being “cold”
Rainier then goes to recruit the Mages since their near Redcliffe and having mages will give more help in recruiting the Arl, only for Broken circle to happen. At first he goes in with some intent to help the annulment, but Wynne convinces him to rescue as many mages as possible and they are succesful. The fade is actually a walk in the park for Rainier because of his combat focus. He and his companions defeat Sloth and gain the Litany which helps recue Irving and the other mages. Cullen isn’t regarded for his opinion on the mages.
With the Mages and the Ashes, Redcliffe is a cake walk. Rainier defends the town from the undead onslaught and with the Mages, Wynne is able to defeat the Demon possessing Connor and with the Ashes in hand, Eamon is healed.
While Eamon recovers, the Dalish are found and their conflict with the werewolves really plucks at Rainier’s heartstrings. His desire for peaceful conflict resolution rally comes through and he manages to get Zathrian to end the curse.
When it comes time for Orzammar, Rainier initially is against Bhelen because of the news from Harrowmont of Bhelen’s coup against his siblings. Harrowmont wants to keep Orzammar’s traditions intact and not let Bhelen run roughshod. That all changes when he meets Zerlina in dust town. Seeing a mother and child left to scraps all because of the caste system hits the same nerve that his story about the Dog does. An infant being left to die when there’s something he can do about it spurs him to eventually side with Bhelen because of his feelings on the casteless He defeats Branka and gives Shale the backstory she needs to find herself and also brings Oghren along, unfortunately. Bhelen is crowned King of Orzammar and he promises his army and the Legion of the dead.
Morrigan and Rainier become official official after he gives her Flemeth’s Grimoire and she gives him a ring to find him. They had found love in the middle of what felt like the End of the World. Those poor Fools.
The Landsmeet saw a rout of Loghain politically. Rainier avenged the Couslands with intent, killing Howe after declaring his mission to do so as complete. The Landsmeet ruled in favor of Rainier and he defeated Loghain in the duel.
However, he agreed with Riordan that Loghain should be submitted to the Joiining. Alistair hated that. It became the dealbreaker for him and he forsook ruling with Anora to see Loghain killed, but left with his life instead as Rainier refused to allow Anora to execute Alistair instead. Loghain survived and became a Grey Warden.
Morrigan and Rainier made love on the even of battle and completed the dark ritual as a byproduct. Together they slew the Archdemon and parted for a time.
Rainier enjoyed his time as Warden Commander of Fereldan. Building the wardens back to the respectable force they were and was able to protect both Amaranthine, and Vigils keep. He ultimately vanished as he began to search for a cure for the calling the Architect.
Vivienne Hawke
For the Headcanon, Vivienne was a friend of Malcolm’s while they were both in circles and she receives a letter from him after he arrives in Lothering when Bethany is born (no older Hawke sibling, the twins are born ‘first’) She comes to Lothering to help get Bethany some training when the Darkspawn win at Ostagar. She flees with the family, though Bethany perishes when the Ogre attacks them. Vivienne sticks with the family to help Flemeth in exchange for passage to Kirkwall and becomes a Hawke in Lieu of returning to the Circle after she hears that it’s thought that she perished in the Blight.
Vivienne contemplates joining the circle at the Gallows, after all she was first Enchanter, but after meeting Anders and seeing what was done to Karl, she resigns herself to remaining an apostate because she knows her time away from the circle would cause Meredith to use the brand on her and that is unacceptable. She has no issues controlling her power and she’s invested in returning the Amell estate to the Hawke family and Leandra even offers her a place in it.
Despite her own feelings toward Meredith, she does encourage other apostates to return to the circle. Their fates are closely watched by Vivienne, especially when she leaves Carver off the expedition team to take care of Leandra and he joins the Templar Order.
A few years into living in Kirkwall she helps Sebastian Vael avenge his family and they become as close as a dashing rogue and a mage can be. She does her best to help mediate the situation between the Qunari and the Viscount, evening earning the title of Basilt-An from the Arishok until he attacks the city.
Vivienne can no longer hide her magic once the rest of the nobles in the city see her face the Arishok in single combat and come out victorious after Isabela returns to Kirkwall. when Meredith learns of this, they stand in unison to anoint Vivienne as the Champion of Kirkwall, thus making her untouchable to Meredith without a Viscount.
Vivienne still plays it safe when dealing with matters of magic. She doesn’t abide by blood mages and tries to keep people from turning to it at any cost, especially after Leader was murdered by Quentin. She is duped by Anders because she wanted to help him seperate from Justice but despite her willingness to aid the templars, she stands firmly against Meredith when she calls for the rite of Annulment when Anders, a Grey Warden, destroys the Chantry. She immediately comes to the aide of the circle in it’s hour of need and is ‘betrayed’ by Orsino (Varric lies to protect him and says Vivienne killed him) and she slays Meredith at the Gallows
Because of her connection to the Hawke family, the Carta mistakes her for a blood Hawke and she and Carver eventually uncover Corypheus and kill him the first time which then sends her on the run and out of Cassandra’s clutches.
Zevran “Lavellan” Aranai
After eliminating most of the Antivan Crows, Zevran takes up with a Dalish clan in the free marches in between DA2 and Inquisition. For the headcanon he helps protect Clan Lavellan from bandits and they offer him a place in the clan. When they hear of the Mage Rebellion and the conclave, they send him to investigate since he has knowledge of the situation and of human cultures so he can fit right in. This leads him to Corypheus’ ritual and gaining the anchor in the explosion.
For the headcanon, Leliana recognizes him which prevents Cassandra from killing him and she vouches for him which allows them to close the rift partially and work the with Inquisition.
He immediately hits it off with Josephine as she works to clear his name of killing the Divine with magic since he is no mage.
A funny thing happens after Val Royeaux.
Zevran finds his old friend Thom Rainier in the Hinterlands under the name of a different Warden and runs into the Champion of Kirkwall at an Orlesian Ball. In the headcanon Rainier is working with Avernus on the cure and stayed in Ferelden with the Drydens and Vivienne returned to court under her previous name claiming to have stayed with the Avaar to help them fight the Blight. Cassandra was almost none the wiser until Varric needed Vivienne to talk about Corypheus. Leliana was also overjoyed that her friend was still alive.
Zevran chooses to side with the Mage rebellion, having rebelled against an institution himself he can sympathize with their blight and doesn’t want to leave them in servitude to a Magister like Alexius. He gives them their freedom because he’s seen what mages can do when they work for a common cause.
He happily accepts the position of Inquisitor and works with Leliana to understand The Game to make sure Corypheus can’t overthrow Orlais for the moment.  Halamshiral’s wintersend ball ends with a public truce between Gaspard Briala and Celene and Florianne as the Jester at Skyhold.
Vivienne and Loghain team up to track the Wardens to Adamant Fortress and there Loghain finally receives the death Alistair wanted for him all along, but this time it is to slay an enemy of the Wardens in the Nightmare.
Zevran took a liking to the Dalish Culture, finally seeing the things his mother believed in and felt a kinship to it, so when he learns about the Temple of Mythal and the well fo Sorrows, he takes it for himself after following the rituals, unlike the Red Templars and Samson. He partly does this to needle Morrigan and he boasts about it to her until they meet Mythal who happens to be Morrigans mother.
Zeveran also falls head over heels for Josephine a woman who feels like home to him because of their Antivan heritage and because she’s just plain wonderful to be around. Leliana is of course very protective of her friends and in the headcanon warns them both, but they just laugh and tease her for caring about them, lovingly of course. After Corypheus is defeated Zevran meets the previous Inquisitor in the Frostback mountains and it gets in his head that the world has taken much from him in both the fifth blight and the fight against Corypheus. He doesn’t know ho much longer he can stay in the spotlight and be the hero.
When Leliana calls the exalted Council two years after becoming Divine, Zevran and his mark dutifully step up to stop the Qunari invasion and after losing this left hand to Solas, he disbands the Inquisition as it is finally time for him to just live.
Conclusion
All in all this was an interesting Run. I was surprised that characters got along when I didn’t expect them to. Vivienne was maxed friendship  with both Merrill and Anders somehow despite their opinions on Circles and Magic. I was surprised that Blackwall and Morrigan both ended up together, but knowing how he is in Romance made it all fit for them. Zevran and Sera got along great despite him being Elfy and of course he got along with the companion versions of the MC’s he knew. He obviously would want Leliana as Divine since they were friends and his appreciation for Dalish culture ends up having him be the vessel for the well of Sorrows. I might end up doing this kind of series again with different characters just to see how things pan out. IF you read this far, Thanks! Also gimme a follow over on twitch for more fun streams!
