Παράλληλα ο οίκος τοποθετεί τον πληθωρισμό του 2023 στο 6,6%.

Η UniCredit μείωσε την πρόβλεψή της για ανάπτυξη στην Ελλάδα το 2023, καθώς από 0,7% που είχε προβλέψει μέχρι πρότινος, το ποσοστό υποχώρησε στο 0,6%, ενώ τον Σεπτέμβριο προέβλεπε ανάπτυξη 1,1%.

Ωστόσο, οι προβλέψεις της για φέτος (5,7%) και για το 2024 (1,5%) έμειναν σταθερές.

Από εκεί και πέρα, σε ό,τι έχει να κάνει με τον πληθωρισμό τον τοποθετεί στο 6,2% το 2023 από 9,9% φέτος και στο 3% το 2024, ενώ εμμένει στην άποψή της για πτωτική τροχιά του ελληνικού χρέους, το οποίο από το 169,5% του ΑΕΠ φέτος, το 2023 θα υποχωρήσει στο 162,5% και το 2024 στο 159,1%. Το έλλειμα του ισοζυγίου του προϋπολογισμού θα υποχωρήσει από 1,9% του ΑΕΠ το 2022 σε 1,4% το 2023 και στο 1,2% το 2024, ενώ μικρή υποχώρηση εκτιμά πως θα σημειώσει και το έλλειμμα του λογαριασμού τρεχουσών συναλλαγών, από το 1,7% του ΑΕΠ φέτος, στο 1,2% το 2023 και στο 1% το 2024.

Στα θετικά, η Ελλάδα παρ' όλ' αυτά αναμένεται να έχει από τις καλύτερες επιδόσεις στην ευρωζώνη, τη στιγμή που η ανάπτυξη το 2023 για το σύνολο της περιοχής θα είναι σχεδόν μηδενική, ενώ η ύφεση αναμένεται να χτυπήσει την πόρτα σε Γερμανία (0,2%) και Ιταλία (0,1%). Η παγκόσμια οικονομία θα σημειώσει ανάπτυξη μόλις 1,9% από 3,2% φέτος - το οποίο και αποτελεί de facto ύφεση - ενώ και οι ΗΠΑ εκτιμάται ότι θα εισέλθουν σε ήπια τεχνική ύφεση το 2023 της τάξης του 0,1% από ανάπτυξη μόλις 1,8% φέτος. Η παγκόσμια ανάπτυξη έχει πέσει κάτω από το 2% (μια de facto παγκόσμια ύφεση) μόνο τέσσερις φορές τα τελευταία πενήντα χρόνια, το 1974-1975, το 1981-1982, το 2009 και κατά τη διάρκεια της πανδημίας COVID-19 το 2020.

Όπως επισημάνει η UniCredit στην έκθεσή της για τις παγκόσμιες προοπτικές, το 2023 η παγκόσμια οικονομία θα αντιμετωπίσει αυξανόμενους αντίθετους ανέμους καθώς η μεγαλύτερη, η ταχύτερη και η πιο συγχρονισμένη αυστηροποίηση των παγκόσμιων νομισματικών πολιτικών εδώ και δεκαετίες επιδεινώνει τις επιπτώσεις των ήδη μεγάλων κρίσεων που πλήττουν την οικονομία, όπως το σοκ στους όρους εμπορίου πολλών χωρών και ο υψηλός πληθωρισμός. Το δυσμενές γεωπολιτικό σκηνικό αυξάνει την αβεβαιότητα, κυρίως λόγω των εντάσεων μεταξύ της Δύσης, της Ρωσίας και της Κίνας.

Η υποστηρικτική δημοσιονομική πολιτική στην ευρωζώνη, οι σφιχτές αγορές εργασίας, οι υγιείς ισολογισμοί του ιδιωτικού τομέα και η περαιτέρω χαλάρωση των σημείων συμφόρησης θα αποτρέψουν μια βαθιά ύφεση στην περιοχή, όπως τονίζει η ιταλική τράπεζα. Η Γερμανία και η Ιταλία είναι πιθανό να επηρεαστούν περισσότερο από την τρέχουσα ενεργειακή κρίση και την ύφεση στον μεταποιητικό τομέα, ενώ η Γαλλία και η Ισπανία πιθανότατα θα έχουν ελαφρώς καλύτερη απόδοση. Λόγω της υστέρησης στον αντίκτυπο της νομισματικής πολιτικής και της καθυστερημένης χαλάρωσης στην αγορά εργασίας, αναμένει ανάκαμψη κάτω από την τάση το 2024 τόσο στις ΗΠΑ (0,9%) όσο και στην ευρωζώνη (1,0%).

Οι κύριοι παράγοντες της μηδενικής ανάπτυξης που εκτιμά η UniCredit στην ευρωζώνη είναι η σοβαρή συμπίεση των πραγματικών εισοδημάτων των νοικοκυριών, το υψηλό ενεργειακό κόστος για τις επιχειρήσεις και η επιβράδυνση της παγκόσμιας ανάπτυξης, ενώ το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της επίδρασης της αυστηρότερης πολιτικής της ΕΚΤ δεν έχει ακόμη γίνει αισθητό. Στον τομέα της μεταποίησης, η ταχεία επιδείνωση των νέων παραγγελιών και η αύξηση των αποθεμάτων υποδηλώνουν σημαντική συρρίκνωση της παραγωγής, με ελάχιστες προοπτικές επικείμενης ανάκαμψης. Εν τω μεταξύ, η δραστηριότητα των υπηρεσιών έχει εισέλθει σε τάση αποδυνάμωσης καθώς η ώθηση από το άνοιγμα της οικονομίας μετά την πανδημία εξασθενεί. Συνολικά, η ιταλική τράπεζα προβλέπει σωρευτική μείωση του ΑΕΠ της ευρωζώνης κατά 0,7% από το δ’ τρίμηνο του 2022 έως το α’ τρίμηνο του 2023.

Ο πληθωρισμός στις ΗΠΑ (που οφείλεται στη ζήτηση) παραμένει θεμελιωδώς διαφορετικός από αυτόν στην ανεπτυγμένη Ευρώπη (οφείλεται κυρίως στην αύξηση κόστους). Προβλέπει πως θα μειωθεί γύρω στο 3% στις ΗΠΑ και στο 2,5% στην ευρωζώνη έως το τέλος του 2023 και στο 2% έως τα μέσα του 2024.

Οι κεντρικές τράπεζες, όπως επισημαίνει η UniCredit, μάχονται σκληρά για την αξιοπιστία τους και πιθανότατα θα θέλουν να διατηρήσουν τις χρηματοπιστωτικές συνθήκες σφιχτές έως ότου αισθανθούν σιγουριά ότι ο πληθωρισμός είναι καθ' οδόν προς τον στόχο. Όπως εκτιμά, τα τελικά επιτόκια θα διαμορφωθούν στο 5% στις ΗΠΑ και στο 2,75% στην ευρωζώνη. Η ποσοτική σύσφιγξη (QT) της ΕΚΤ πιθανότατα θα συνεπάγεται αρχικά μείωση του χαρτοφυλακίου APP κατά περίπου 15 δισ. ευρώ ανά μήνα, όπως σημειώνει, ενώ αναμένει στροφή της νομισματικής πολιτικής το 2024, με την Fed να μειώνει τα επιτόκια κατά 150 μονάδες βάσης και την ΕΚΤ κατά 75 μονάδες βάσης.
