MY PARROT ALADDIN IN ANALOGY TO THE LARGE LANGUAGE MODEL

Like everything else in life, we face challenges every day. In the race for the gold that AI gives us, we have some significant bottlenecks; 1. Learning, 2. Data.

My Old School friends challenged me to make an analogy with my Aladdin parrot with any AI item.

A few hours into my work I decided to make the analogy with LLM.

I did my best effort to provide a clear and concise explanation of example-based testing for AI knowledge enhancement, tailored for a non-technical audience:

Imagine you're training a parrot to mimic different phrases. You give the parrot an example phrase ("Hello!") and the correct response ("Hello!"), then test if it can repeat it correctly.

This is similar to how example-based testing works for AI.

In AI, the "parrot" is an LLM (large language model), and the "phrases" are different situations it might encounter.

We provide the LLM with an example input (like "I have a package for John") and the desired response (the LLM's intent, like "DELIVERY", and a natural language message, like "Please leave the package at the door").

Then, we test if the LLM responds correctly to similar situations.

This helps the LLM learn and improve in two ways:

1.It catches errors: If the LLM makes a mistake, the test will fail, alerting us to fix the problem.

2.It covers different scenarios: By providing many diverse examples, we help the LLM become more versatile and handle various situations better.

Remember, the more examples we provide, the more the LLM can learn and grow!
