BMW i8 ECU Flash Tuning - The Most Powerful BMW Tunes
“Is the BMW i8 a supercar?” This questions is as old as the i8 itself. Upon its public reveal at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013, consumers were sure BMW just built the next legend.
However, in August 2014, American enthusiasts were left wanting more… power. While the design rivals that of some of the most exclusive supercars, when it came to functionality BMW preferred efficiency over power. So in short, the answer really depends on your definition of a supercar. According to the Vivid Racing Multilingual Dictionary, the BMW i8 is not a supercar, but no worries, we managed to fix that.
While the BMW i8 is undeniably an impressive hybrid, it does come with its own list of imperfections, and its turbocharged 1.5 liter 3-cylinder engine is not one of them surprisingly. From the factory, this car produces over 120 horsepower per cylinder and over 420 ftlbs of torque. The hybrid system ensures you get off the line efficiently and save gas when you’re not giving it the beans. However, after a few rips and some track work, it was clear we needed to pull just a little bit more out of i8.
Our tuning process for the i8 is tried and true and simple. We adjust critical parameters including air/fuel ratios, ignition timing, throttle limitations, rev limits, speed limits, and various others (including upping the boost), enabling the mighty 3 cylinder’s bite to match its bark. The resulting VRTuned flashing not only increases horsepower and torque, but it also leads to an improved driving experience, characterized by enhanced throttle response and overall smoother transient throttle performance. Of course, in typical VR fashion we opted for the Pops and Bangs for a little added spice and what we’ll call our “fourth tail light”, and the results were, to say the least, super.
The advantages and performance gains from our tune alone are quite remarkable. We were able to blow past the 400hp mark by gaining over 43 whp and increasing the already exhilarating torque value by 58 ftlbs. Now this BMW i8 has officially gained the VR stamp of approval as a legitimate Supercar.

Later on, we added a little Meisterschaft titanium to the rear, a K&N drop in air filter, and closed the fender gap around our VR Forged exclusive wheels with D2 Racing Coilovers and created the Ultimate i8, but those numbers are top secret. If you’re seeking one of the most fundamental yet effective enhancements to unleash the power of your BMW i8, an ECU flash from VR Tuned is the only option. Check out the video below to see and hear this factory i8 in action.

Known for being at home on the open roads and on the track, this coupé offers the ultimate driving experience to car enthusiasts around the world. Apart from being a thrilling ride, this sportscar is also very light and brings new meaning to what a performance-oriented car can do. We know how addictive the McLaren 570S is with just 562HP, and 443lbft, but the saying, the more the merrier hasn’t been around for nothing. So we amped the power to turn the McLaren 570S into a 700HP beast with the VR Tuned ECU Flash Tune. As seen in the video, the transformation gave this car the highest power and made its performance nothing short of breathtaking.
The $1,500 VR Tuned ECU Flash gives you a tremendous gain of 100ft/lbs of torque at 4500rpm and nearly 80whp as seen in the video. VR Tuned (Vivid Racing’s offshoot) is a brand that’s known for releasing high-performance and quality products such as booster pedals, ECU flashes, gearbox tuning, tuning accessories, and complete tuning box kits, the same quality can be found in this ECU Flash. Apart from providing you with an improved driving experience, the VR Tuned ECU Flash also improves your vehicle’s performance hence giving your engine what it craves. For those looking to crank some more power and torque from their McLaren 570S, the VR Tuned ECU Flash guarantees an improvement to your McLaren 570S off and on the track.

The Mclaren 570S seen in the video had one more upgrade, an air filter. Manufactured by BMC Air Filters, an Italian company that has been developing filters since 1996, this air filter is available in our shop for just $273.90. By upgrading to this filter, you are guaranteed a higher air passage, and a better filter quality as this filter is made of highly performing materials that allow an increased air flow combined with more efficient filtration. The design of this air filter guarantees containment of all impurities from as small as 7 microns (compared to OEM’s 10 microns). Click on the link below to grab this air filter for your Mclaren 570S, as installing the BMC Air Filter FB742/08 will give your McLaren a clear advantage in your adventures.

While purists, myself included, will always prefer three pedals to two, I will be the first to admit that since it’s 2003 debut, Volkswagen Auto Group’s Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) or Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) was a gamechanger. A quick google search would hail countless pages of noise samples, roll races, and technical ins-and-outs, but simply put… it’s fast… but it could be faster.
That being said, we were hyped to learn that the third generation Audi S3 would not only feature the 300hp 2.0 liter TFSI inline four cylinder engine, but it would also be paired with a fast-shifting Direct Shift Gearbox. A sure recipe for success, Audi kept this power combo together for 4 model years, giving us the chance to really test the limits of the S3.
For starters, 300hp and 281ftlbs of torque is more than enough to get a skilled driver from 0-60 in just 4.8 seconds utilizing lightning fast shifts at a 6800rpm redline that keeps you pinned under what is one of the most impressive factory torque curves in its class! Holding strong from 1800-5500rpms and five crispy shifts later, you’ll find the factory limiter hard set at 155mph, but not before passing the ¼ mile performance benchmark in about 13.3 seconds. All of this, by the way, was done on the factory 225/40 street compound tires. To say this platform is impressive is the understatement of the century, but like every car that crests the white and grey Vivid Racing dyno lab doors, it could be faster.
Our first issue with the Audi S3 was the same issue we run into with almost all OEM’s, so we addressed it immediately. The factory overrun fuel cut delay produces some happy exhaust burbles, but they serve as no replacement for response. A little acceleration enrichment management and throttle mapping saw our otherwise factory S3 immediately come alive, completely eliminating the pedal delay that plagues so many automatic transmission vehicles. From there, we spent a little time on our timing and fueling strategies, even delaying that overrun fuel cut even more for a few fireworks out the tail pipe, before ending with a safe, but aggressive 368 hp and 357 ftlbs of torque. Our new found 20% increase in horsepower and 26% increase in torque was amazing, but we knew something was missing. So, we disabled the speed limiter, and it was impressive, but still not perfect yet. So we looked to the transmission.

From the factory, the DQ250 is one of the most capable modern transmissions in the sport compact game, but unlike our beloved T56’s and R154’s, the DQ250’s brawn depends less on it’s hardware and more on its software. In regular trim, Audi designed this transmission for the common person. It has been refined to focus less on violent acceleration and more on comfort, emissions, and longevity, but like most things, the OEM’s took this refinement to the extreme, effectively caging the DQ250’s spirit in the name of normality. Luckily, here at VR Tuned, we have developed a flash that allows you to harness every bit of power and translate it seamlessly to whatever road surface you choose.
The DSG is similar to your automatic and manual transmissions in that it translates engine torque to the wheels, but the way it does it would require its own article. In short, we were able to extend shift points, quicken the clutch engagement, and modify a few parameters to ensure efficient repeatable launches with our higher power levels. Most importantly, nothing we did to our transmission computer affected our engine computer. This means there were no check engine lights, no need to re-tune our ECU, and we had nailed the direct plug-and-play simplicity we have grown to enjoy across all platforms with our VR Tuned products.
Interested in this Audi S3 Transmission Flash? Order Here
All in hand, if you’re fortunate enough to own one of these marvels of German engineering, you owe it to yourself, your car, and your time slips to get it VR Tuned. Whether you’re stock, Full Bolt-On, or just wanted some burbles, you must get your DSG Tuned.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to reach out to [email protected], otherwise, we’ll see you at the track.

Aston Martin Vanquish VR Tuned ECU Flash - Why do you need this?
Let’s be Frank. Your average Aston Martin owner is anything but average. Our cars are often times extensions of ourselves, and put simply, the V12 Vanquish is a masterpiece of automotive engineering and design.
Interested in this Aston Martin ECU Flash? Order Here
The Vanquish is regarded as art on wheels. It’s simplicity with a dash of seductive elegance is the recipe for a timeless design. The interior is comprised of the finest, handcrafted materials that envelop you in a cockpit of comfort and style. Advanced technological comfort features make you feel like you’re flying a fighter jet from an international first-class seat, and while all this may seem unnecessary for your average commute, let me remind you we’re not concerned about average.
Enter, the 5.9 liter Aston Martin V-12. Renowned for its astonishing 580 horsepower and 465lf-ft of torque, this powerhouse propels the Vanquish from 0-60 in just 3.6 seconds and pulls it to a top speed of 201mph (323kph). Did I mention it’s naturally aspirated? The all aluminum construction and Dual Overhead Cam Design keeps weight low, revs high, and power consistent. Even in stock form, the exhaust note is symphonic. One could dare say, the Aston Martin Vanquish is near perfect; keyword, near.
To take the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish nearer to perfection, the team here at Vivid Racing made a few changes. It started with establishing a baseline and truly testing the limits of the V12, and to our pleasant surprise, it managed to put down 575hp and 465ft/lbs of torque on 91 octane in the arid Arizona heat. However, we knew Aston Martin had left a little bit of room for improvement, and we love improvement. After brunch at the VE table, an otherwise completely factory V12 found an additional 25hp and 25ft/lbs of torque, but that wasn’t all. With our modified ignition mapping and refinement of the throttle response, this V12 Vanquish felt like a completely different beast. Unfortunately, though, this is as far as we were able to get on our initial session. If you want to pull every last ounce of potential out of your V12 and our VR Tuned Flash Tune, we highly recommend the upgrade to the Quicksilver Sports Manifolds and Race-Catalysts paired with Quicksilver’s Titan Supersport Exhaust System… but only when you think you can handle it.
So whether you want to be the talk of the town at the next local cars and coffee, or you want to take a few hot laps around the track in extreme comfort, shoot me an email at [email protected] to get your V12 singing a new song.

New Post has been published on https://www.vividracing.com/blog/139824-2/
In 2022, car enthusiasts all over the United States were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Nissan Z. In the new Z, not 400Z, it seems Nissan answered all of our prayers. Equipped with a 3.0L VR30DDTT Twin Turbo V6 and a 6 speed FS6R31 manual transmission, the new Z34 (Kouki Z34) seemed to fill all the gaps Nissan left in the Zenki Z34 and R35 that left true drivers wanting more. With a power output at an even 400hp (298kw; 406ps) and 350 ftlbs (475 N-m 48 kg-m) of torque, the new Z34 was unlike any of its predecessors and a breath of fresh air in the middle of the ‘Sports Car Electrification Movement’. Nissan then broke some hearts, mine included, when they announced the 420hp, 384ftlb Z34 Nismo would be equipped with a rebadged Mercedes 9G-Tronic automatic transmission manufactured under Jatco as the JR913E and that there would be no manual option for the Nismo Z. Their reasoning: Even with more power, the automatic sport model would be faster in the ¼ mile than a manual Nismo, and they feared consumers would care.
Fast forward to release day, and the reasonably priced Nissan Z saw dealer markups of over $70,000 over MSRP on what could be Nissan’s final true sports car. Somehow, clout and fear of missing out beat common sense and they sold like hotcakes. So much so, that as of the writing of this article, the least expensive USED Nissan Z on the market is being offered at $7,000 above NEW MSRP. Now to bring it all into perspective, if you were an early buyer of a Nissan Z, you’re punching in Audi RS5 Coupe, BMW M4 Competition xDrive, and C8 Corvette territory price-wise, except you likely have cloth seats, less power, and are a good deal slower from 0-60 than your newly priced out competition… and the EFI scientist here at Vivid Racing just can’t let you go out like that.

While we have options for your interior woes, and styling upgrades that make the car look the part of the markup, we were focused on two things and two things only: horsepower and torque… and drivability (I’m aware that’s three things). When this Two-tone Ikazuchi Yellow Tricoat / Super Black Kouki Z34 rolled into our dyno lab, we were impressed. It put down an underrated 405hp and 475ftlbs of torque through the automatic transmission, which was more than we all expected. Immediately wanting to unlock the ECU and start our flash process, the customer let us know the factory warranty was very important to him and that he would like to keep it. Luckily here at VR Tuned, we have developed a Warranty-safe tune with our VR Tuned Tuning Box. Basically, this system acts as a piggy back. It requires no cutting or splicing and does not modify the way any of the factory sensors work. Instead, through science and electrical engineering and magic, it provides safe, modified data to the factory ECU, allowing us modify boost, fuel and spark strategies that ultimately results in a 65hp increase over stock and 85 more ftlbs or torque through our VR Forged wheels.
To make it more user-friendly for the driver, we included optional Bluetooth control for both iOS and Android platforms, allowing the user to quickly change between 7 performance maps, or simply turn the tuning box off for emissions purposes from their phone. With 3 active drive modes (Race, Sport, and Eco) included, and German tuning box construction, we feel Vivid Racing has crafted the ultimate tuning solution for Nissan Z owners looking to retain their factory warranty. We also found the best exhaust system for making big power, and the best suspension system to keep it all under control, so there’s no need to take it one step at a time. The next stop for us and the Z should be a track day, so subscribe if you want to see more.
So whether you want to be the talk of the town at the next local cars and coffee, or you want to take a few hot laps around the track in extreme comfort, shoot me an email at [email protected] to get your Z right.

We just had a very fun project here at Vivid Racing HQ that is this Porsche 911 991.2 Turbo. We gave it the VR Treatment full of amazing bolt-ons and a bit of carbon pieces. This combination turned the 911 Turbo into one and only full-blown a rocket ship! This car was bone stock except for it already had KW Club sport coilovers on it, which was awesome honestly a perfect platform for us to be doing some performance mods to make this car just a bit more enjoyable honestly just a really fun Street touring car future.
Let’s get into what exactly we’ve done to this car we added an Armytrix Valvetronic Exhaust system, a VR Performance Cold Air Intake system along with Diverter Valves and some aero bits to this car.
Shop all ARMYTRIX Exhausts Here
Our first step was installing an Armytrix Valvetronic Exhaust System, which gives you options to open or close the exhaust valves with a remote controller. When the valves are fully open for maximum flow and power, it creates an exotic tone and allows for higher performance. When the valves are closed, exhaust volume is reduced for a more comfortable drive.
Shop all VR Tuned ECU Flashes
The 991.2 Turbo performance was greatly improved with an ECU Flash. Like all turbocharged vehicles, changing the vehicle’s calibration allows for improvement of the vehicle’s throttle response, horsepower, and torque. The car will rev out faster, which will reduce the sluggish off-the-line feeling till the peak of the powerband hits. The mid-range pulls harder in its peak torque and horsepower zones, allowing the car to increase power all the way to redline.
In stock form, the 3.8L Turbocharged Flat 6 made an impressive 540lb-ft of torque and 487 all-wheel horsepower. After adding the intake and the exhaust, we made 465 WHP and 517lb-ft of torque on our Mustang. Keep in mind, that the 991.2 Turbo was running on 91 octane with our dyno room being over 100°F – you will experience much better gains in more optimal conditions. But once we added our Stage 1 VR Tuned ECU Flash combined with the Armytrix system, we experienced a respectable gain of 98 lb-ft of torque and 58 all-wheel horsepower. Keep in mind, that the 991.2 Turbo was running on 91 octane with our dyno room being over 100°F – you will experience much better gains in more optimal conditions. Ever since we’ve been doing the 996 turbos 997 turbos, all of the Porsche Turbos get a tremendous increase by doing an ECU tune.
More information on the VR Tuned ECU Flash for the Porsche 911 991.2 Turbo can be here
Let’s dive into Exterior Mods. We outfitted this 991.2 Turbo with some tasteful carbon fiber aero pieces. The first we did was adding the DarwinPro GT2RS Style Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler and the VR Aero Carbon Diffuser, this combination added serious sauce to the rear of the car. To balance out the rear, we added the ParwinPro Front Lip and the Porsche OEM RS Side Skirts. This completes the OEM+ aesthetic that we are looking to achieve.
  Shop VR Forged D12 Wheels
After the 911.2 has made its way back back to the owner @lambo_208, He’s done some sick final touches to the car with a fresh wrap and powdercoated wheels. The VR Forged D12 Wheels are designed to work with most OEM TPMS sensors, some OEM lug nuts, or aftermarket lug nuts and bolts. The wheels are also designed to work with OEM brakes and most big brake kits. The wheels feature engraved logos and a machined VR logo center cap. The front wheels are a 20×9 +45mm and the rear wheels are a 20×12 +45mm.

Tasteful Porsche 991.1 Turbo Build Pays Tribute To 1973 Carrera RS
If you are looking to make your 2014 Porsche 911 991.1 Turbo stand out from the crowd, then you are in the right place! Whether you’re a professional racer, a weekend enthusiast, or just someone who appreciates a good car, Vivid Racing knows all the parts and accessories you need to take your fine German automobile to the next level.
Recently, we’ve elevated this Porsche to new heights by integrating some of our top-notch parts. The result? An incredible transformation that makes this 991 Turbo truly stand out. From performance upgrades to luxurious touches, our Porsche 911 is what we find to be the perfect balance between all the adventure capabilities while maintaining its reliable daily driving duties.
Our Goal for this Porsche 911 991.1 Turbo
– Enhance driving performance and add character – Unlock even more of its potential with basic bolt-ons
To pay tribute to the classic Carrera RS, the aim was to incorporate elements of its livery. This involved making the 991.1 platform even more appealing by adding OEM+ upgrades. The exterior was transformed from its original white color to a vibrant green reminiscent of the Carrera RS, creating a visually striking and creatively customized appearance for this 911.
ARMYTRIX Valvetronic Exhaust System
We started off our upgrades with the VR Performance Valvetronic Exhaust System for the Porsche 991.1 Turbo. This exhaust system is designed to provide maximum performance, sound quality, and durability. With its valvetronic technology, you can control the sound of your engine from inside the cabin with a simple switch – giving you complete control over how loud or quiet your ride is at any given time! The exhaust notes from the ARMYTRIX system are monstrous. Not only does this exhaust system look and sound great, but it also increases horsepower and torque while reducing back pressure in order to maximize efficiency in your engine.
Exhaust Benefits
– Headers and intake open up airflow – Reduces backpressure in turbo platforms – Provides horsepower and torque gains – Improves exhaust sound
VRP High Flow Headers
These new VR Performance tubular headers for the Porsche 991 Turbo or Turbo S really show off the performance you can get out of this engine. The design of the headers are a 3 into 1 style that the twin turbo REALLY benefits from. Unlike the 996 and 997 Turbo, the 991 headers are very restrictive and the clam shell design prohibits the turbos from spooling up quickly.
Headers Benefits
– Increases airflow – Reduces backpressure – Increases Horsepower & Torque – Improves exhaust sound
VR Tuned ECU Flash
To really get the most out of our modifications we decided to get an ECU flash from VR Tuned for this Porsche 991.1 Turbo. This optimizes engine performance, enhancing horsepower and torque while maintaining fuel efficiency. We opted the tune with:
Vmax Off – This is an increase or reduction of the maximum speed limit.
Race Exhaust – This option is for those running full race exhaust systems.
Pops & Bangs (burble tune) – This is the result of an ignition delay which creates an exhaust detonation when the throttle pedal is released.
ECU Flash Benefits
– Eliminates CEL codes caused by headers or high-flow catalytic converters installation – Properly optimizes and adjusts fuel and ignition maps for the new modifications – Provides an additional 100 wheel horsepower over stock
VRP Upgraded Diverter Valve Pair
The factory diverter valves are prone to leaking pressure under increased boost. To help keep the boost pressure constant all the way to redline, upgrading the stock diverter valve to the VR Racing Diverter Valve Kit was necessary. These valves are CNC machined 6061 aluminum which have been precision engineered to fit with the stock or aftermarket boost hoses. The internal construction of the valve uses a machined piston with proper o-rings to ensure a smooth motion that is air tight to prevent any boost leaks. The spring has been engineered to hold moderate to aggressive boost increases on your turbo car.
Diverter Valve Benefits
– Helps eliminate back pressure – Recirculates boost pressure for better throttle response and less turbo lag
H&R Sport Springs
H&R has introduced their Sport Spring lowering kit tailored for the Porsche 911 Turbo | Turbo S. These Sport Springs lower the vehicle’s center of gravity, minimizing body roll and improving its handling capabilities. This also helps with a more aggressive stance, all while retaining the factory suspension components. All H&R springs are crafted from a special (hf) 54SiCr6 spring steel to ensure premium quality and performance.
Sport Spring Benefits
– Maintaines all factory Porsche suspension components for reliability – Lowers the center of gravity for better handling – Gives the car a lower, sportier look while keeping the factory handling
VRP Cold Air Intake Kit
Unlocking maxium power starts with airflow, and the Porsche 991 Turbo knows it well. Upgrading the stock intake system in this beast can be quite the challenge due to its redesigned engine bay. But look no further! Our kit is here to revolutionize the game. We’ve retained the factory intake snorkel, channeling airflow directly to our twin cone air filters. These filters aren’t just any—they feature a high-flow filtration design to stop more bad particles while keeping an extremely high efficiency. Each filter comes with an intake tube that is powdercoated wrinkle black made from 6061 heat treated aluminum and TIG welded.
The VRP cold air intake kit is a game-changer, giving the Turbo quick throttle response, almost like driving in perpetual sport mode all the time. Need proof? With this kit, we were able to pick up 0.1sec quicker 0-60mph.  Dyno tests will reveal a gain of about 15ft/lbs of torque at the peak while horsepower gain is 10awhp at peak RPM.
Cold Air Intake Benefits
– Increases air flow – Improves sound and appearance – Increases Horsepower and Torque
VR Forged D03-R Wheel Set
No matter what kind of car you have, nothing makes a statement quite like some tasteful wheels! We chose the VR Forged D03-R Wheels powedercoated in signal green. This touch pays homage to classic Porsche Carrera RS livery. For this build, a classic 10-spoke with an outer ring design gives it that racing sporty look while still maintaining an air of sophistication and elegance thanks to their unique design. It’s definitely an upgrade that can’t be ignored! Plus they come in 20 x 9 +45 front & 20 x 12 +45 rear sizes so they fit perfectly on the 991.1 Turbo without any issues whatsoever.
Forged Wheel Benefits – Improve performance and aesthetics – Provides a “Euro motorsports flare” compared to previous 5-spoke wheels – Increases strength and provides weight savings over factory wheels
VR Aero Carbon Fiber Wing Lip Spoiler
The Porsche 991 Turbo and Turbo S are incredibly designed vehicles in performance, handling, and aerodynamics.  But with all 911 body styles, there is one thing that really makes the iconic shape stand out over stock vehicles. That is, of course, the addition of a more aggressive rear spoiler.  For years people have been upgrading the rear ends to feature a GT2 or GT3 style rear spoilers.  With the 991 Turbo, the factory hydraulic rear spoiler and front spoiler work hand and hand to provide incredible aerodynamic ability. At 300kph, the 991 Turbo can produce 132kg of downforce, allowing it to lap the Nordschleife two seconds faster than in the normal mode. To keep these incredible stats but add extra styling, we added one final touch – VR Aero Carbon Fiber Wing Lip Spoiler for a little extra pizzazz!
This is a simple add on piece that installs in less than 30 minutes.  It allows it to fit snuggly on the stock spoiler curves without drilling or cutting into anything.  It wraps around the front and rear of the factory wing blade to lock in place. The lightweight carbon fiber piece is styled to match other VR Aero carbon fiber parts.
Wing Lip Spoiler Features
– Retains the factory function in the up or down position – Requires no special tools to install – 2×2 Carbon weave Carbon Fiber – Gloss coat with 3K UV resistant finish – Fits over stock ducts for easy install – Perfect fitment
VR Aero Carbon Fiber Side Air Ducts
For a touch of sporty elegance, we installed the VR Aero Carbon Fiber Side Air Ducts. These lightweight carbon fiber pieces are not only styled to match other VR Aero carbon fiber parts but also adds a unique aesthetic appeal to the 991 Turbo. These air vents provide additional cooling and lend a bold and aggressive look to the vehicle.
Side Air Duct Features
– Requires no special tools to install – 2×2 Carbon weave Carbon Fiber – Gloss coat with 3K UV resistant finish – Fits over stock ducts for easy install – Perfect fitment
VR Aero Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser
To take the exterior to the next level, we’ve added the VR Aero carbon fiber diffuser, and let’s just say, it’s a game-changer for that stylish, aggressive vibe you crave! Our goal was to find best performing upgrades and develop them at affordable price. This rear diffuser isn’t just an addition; it’s a statement. Crafted to seamlessly attach to the OEM rear bumper, it’s designed to flow the lines of the rear skirt. This carbon fiber piece not only adds flair but amplifies the rear end of the 991, making heads turn wherever you go.
Rear Diffuser Features
– Requires no special tools to install – 2×2 Carbon weave Carbon Fiber – Gloss coat with 3K UV resistant finish – Fits over stock ducts for easy install – Perfect fitment
VRP Porsche PDK Cup Style Shifter Stick
Last but not least, we’ve added the VR Performance Cup Shifter for more fun and engaging shifting experience. This shifter was designed to give PDK owners a whole new experience in driving their car. Mimicked after the factory cup car style shift knob and assembly, this makes banging through the gears a lot more fun. We also wanted to maintain OEM+ style for this build as Porsche interiors already have great features from the factory. The height of the shifter is increased about 3 inches over the stock PDK lever. This puts the Cup Shifter at a great position in reference to the steering wheel. You now can have quick hand placement from the steering wheel to shift knob to smash through the gears like a pro!
Sifter Features
– Added longer shifter knob with button actuator – Gives sequential style shifting feel – Gives interior OEM+ look – CNC machined from 6061 aluminum – Cup car style shift knob – Carbon fiber center tube – Easy installation
At Vivid Racing, we offer a range of parts and accessories perfect for enhancing your Porsche 911 991.1 Turbo, catering to everyone from professional racers to weekend enthusiasts or anyone who simply loves quality cars. Our selection spans performance upgrades to luxurious additions, ensuring your Porsche strikes the ideal balance between adventure-ready capabilities and reliable daily driving.

Porsche 992 GT3 in Python Green Cinematic Video on the Streets of Georgia
The Porsche 992 GT3 has been one of the most amazing Project Vehicles we have ever done. Originally delivered in October 2021 from our friends at Chandler Porsche, this was one of the first GT3 cars to land in the USA. After an amazing 2 years of road rallies, mods, and fun, we sold this vehicle which now calls Georgia home. Still making loud noises with the Armytrix titanium exhaust and VR Tuned ECU Flash, the Verus aero kit and Fabspeed wing risers never looked so good in its new environment. Still having the awesome VR Forged x Dymag wheels, the new owner wanted to do some proper tracking time with the GT3. So he had the OEM wheels refinished in Aurum Gold color like the factory and set out to make a cool video with Schrenk Media. If you want to hear a wicked flyby at the track, SCROLL to the bottom of this post. Enjoy this short film and keep tuned into the Vivid Racing Blog on more updates!
