Mei and SWK are easily the most underrated lmk duo let's all be real. And their potential IS UNMATCHED. The angst? But also the gooberness?

Mei has so many conflicting feelings and opinions on Wukong. She doesn't fully trust him and feels as if there's no real reason to. She had first time experience with that anyways. He doesn't live up to what he means to everyone else. He hurt her. Hurt her a lot. She unwillingly antagonizes him in her head. Because she struggles to view him as an actual flawed person but instead views him as a non existent myth of an individual. But still, she doesn't fully despise him. She simply can't bring herself to. She knows what Wukong means to MK and she is still trying to latch on to "MK's version of the Monkey King" despite knowing in her heart that it's not an accurate depiction of him as a person.

Also they just love bickering and Mei teaches Wukong how to use tech and phones while the spitefully gossip to one another.

Do you see where I'm getting at? THE SHERE DUALITY. THEY CAN DO BOTH. Please give us more content of them in future seasons PLEASE.
