WFC Megatron x GN titan cybertronian reader

Megatron ran across the battlefield, gun in hand, firing rapidly at any autobot that crossed his path. Taking note of the swarm of bots that was forming on his left, he left Shockwave to deal with them and sprinted towards Optimus.

"PRIME! YOU CANNOT ESCAPE YOUR DESTINY! NONE SHALL LEAVE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!" Megatron shouted. Jumping over a pile of corpses, Megatron pushed forwards with such fury that it blinded him of his surroundings.

Suddenly, before he could reach the prime, the ground below him gave way. He had failed to take note of Warpath spotting him and blasting what was left of the support beams under the platform he was on.

Crashing down with heaps of metal landing on and around him, he found himself to be trapped. Cursing Optimus's name under his breath, he notified Soundwave of the situation. "Soundwave, I require assistance immediately!" The reply came fast. "Acknowledged. Sending retrieval team to your coordinates," Soundwave said.

Sighing, Megatron looked around to see if there was any way out. No luck. The most he could do was crawl out from under the metal beams that had previously landed on him. Sitting up and looking around, he saw that he had landed further down than he had first anticipated. The light of day wasn't even visible, and the sounds of war raging above were incredibly faint.

Suddenly, the metal ground started to shift. Startled, Megatron fell back with a yelp and tried to scramble to his feet again. As the ground around him shifted, he found himself unable to get his footing and promptly stumbled once more. The floor started to move, and Megatron found himself on a transforming platform heading to the surface.

As the light of day and the sounds of war flooded his sensors, he looked up to see a face. A very, very big face. You opened your optics, the light of them washing over Megatron. "What in the name of Primus?" He muttered to himself. Feeling a bit dumb, he realized all too quickly that he was in the hand of a titan. He had heard of dormant Titans that were left underground, but he hadn't imagined that any of them were still functional.

Remembering that you were right in front of him, he snapped back to reality and started questioning you. With a sly grin, he asked "What is your designation, titan?" "(Y/N)" you responded, still looking at Megatron.

"(Y/N)... a fine name indeed. I am Lord Megatron, leader of the decepticons. Join me, and we shall bring glory to Cybertron!" Megatron said, taking the time to check out your features. You certainly weren't as big as Metroplex, but you came close. Megatron was intrigued when he noticed that you had 2 giant canons attached to each of your arms, and a massive null ray on your hip.

"I will fight for you, as a show of my gratitude. I am forever in your debt for awakening me," you said. Startled out of his thoughts, Megatron grinned at you. "Soundwave," he started. "Call off the retrieval team. I don't believe we'll be needing it anymore."

On the battlefield below, many had stopped fighting to look up at you in horror and awe. Optimus among the crowd, he noticed Megatron in your palm. "Scrap," Jazz muttered. "It appears that Megatron has found himself a new ally. Perhaps it would be best if we regroup and create a new plan." Optimus said, promptly telling the autobots to roll out before any more chaos could ensue.

THANK YOU. I am so happy Megatron got his happy ending but others deserved it more. Prowl gets an unfair amount of hate from Megatron fans, while they don't account for the fact that like you said, Megatron had a very strong support system and ability to change. Prowl didn't get that. Starscream is the same. We all know he is evil, duh. That doesn't mean that he deserved to be written off terrible while Megaton gets this grand redemption arc, gets a new family and love but like you mentioned other people were much more deserving. I like Megatron but the whole Lost Light narrative has really caused people, including some of the writers I think, to forget what he did. That wouldn't be a problem if those very fans weren't hating on characters like Prowl and yes, even Starscream . I know you never mentioned Starscream getting hate by Megatron fans, especially in IDW but it is so common. Megatron has gone through this very strange fandom transformation where his life is seen as some moral compass and other people, particularly the ones he hurt, are irredeemable if they aren't held up to his standard. With Prowl it is even more complex because both Megatron and Optimus fans hate him and the writers do not like him either. Prowl is not perfect by any means (and neither is Starscream which I appreciate you talk about and do not excuse him), but Megatron was a genocidal fascist warlord and his redemption arc pretty much excuses all of that.

Like, I don't hate Megatron's redemption arc. In my humble opinion, since they decided to go the slave narrative with him, I think it is essential that he GETS a redemption arc because it isn't fair otherwise. He is one of my favorite characters, he always has been. And like me, he is also a member of an oppressed group who had to survive through slavery. I wanted him to be happy, I wanted him to get a family, I wanted him to absolutely find happiness and be redeemed and I am so glad that he got that. I just would have done it another way, because I think that the writing could've been better or at least, should have given more nuance and care to people he has hurt and to other people. YES, he deserved his redemption but as mentioned in my other post, others deserved that way more than he did.

I am not familiar with prowl but i'm starting to get to know him. I watched him in WFC and fell in love with him. CLEARLY his idw counterpart is different, extremely flawed and complex and I love him. I just don't get why he is the one morally ambigious and flawed character that gets absolutely no nuance, especially coming from an extremly particular side of the fandom. I think it's fair to hate Prowl or to dislike him, as it's fair to dislike any character. But i do see a lot of people who idk, stan Megatron tend to be harsher on prowl. paritucarly people who stan megatron and optimus and that just truly leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I am totally aware of Megatron fans hating Starscream, even IDW megatron fans and I see it quite often. Like yas tumblr is a tiny slice of cake of people who appreciate him but he gets a vast majority of hate from a lot of megatron fans and i don't know why. "It's because he's evil" 'it's because he's unstrustworthy to megatron" and idk starscream is a villain, isn't that the point? And like esp in prime, idw and armada and even cyberverse, i get people just hate on starscream to hate on him but did we close our eyes as to why he hated Megatron.

Anyway i'll end i twith saying this, i do think Megatron deserved his redemption - i don't not want him to get it. Especially being black and an oppressed person who has slavery roots, it would be extremely uncomfortable to be if he didn't get that. Which is a huge issue i have with WFC because they brought forth that narrative but didn't exactly know how to write it. But also, other people deserved redemption and better writing OVER him. Starscream is the definition of a piece of shit, and so is prowl, but i wish the writers were more sympathetic to their redemptions or handling of their narrative.

This isn't to excuse how they act or what they've done, but it's always just irked me

One day Megatron snaps on the battlefield when he sees Starscream fighting Bumblebee 

The warlord told Starscream that the autobots came near, that he had to return to base. 

Megatron is about to tear Starscream’s wings off when Optimus intervenes

Starscream, along with Thundercracker and Skywarp, are captured. 

Ratchet wants to check them over before sending them to the brig 

He notices that all are starving, and that Starscream was using paint to hide some old scars

Op decides the best course of action is to let the seekers stay their on their own free will

At first they have their own room, and energon is delivered to them 

After time and trust, the seekers open up and join the bots

Op saves Star right before Megatron rips out his spark

Thought the seeker is still pretty damaged

Ratchet is able to save him, but now the seeker is about the size of the other bots 

Next time Megatron sees him, the warlord calls him a fairy 

Starscream is angry but doesn’t charge at him

The seeker also develops holoforms for all the bots so they can move around the city without being noticed

Captain fanzone likes the more human bots

Megs has Star by the arm and is dragging him towards a groundbridge  

Op sees what’s happening and saves Starscream 

Megatronus did the same thing to Orion Pax

Megatron yells at both of them that he will have them both in the end

Op sees the abuse and kidnaps Starscream 

then he dumps the seeker on Elita one. 

Elita basically has Jetfire and Starscream on kid leashes while she tries to keep the autobots from falling apart

Starscream gets captured... Op wants to help... Star opens up... bots take him in... Star becomes good bot

Megatron wants his seeker back

Starscream is forbidden from going to earth 

he’s kept on the moon base, and megatron gives him whatever he wants

One day, he’s able to sneak out and sees the beauty of Earth’s nature

When Megs finds out, He’s angry 

He basically sits in star’s room until the seeker returns 

After that incident Star is monitored 24/7 and has to deal with Megaton’s violent mood swings  

Op is able to infiltrate the base and Star begs him to free him.
