You never knew your real parents. Your step parents were thieves and you became one too. They were cool as long as you did what was expected of you. Your step dad died when you were fifteen and your mother wanted you to do some theft because it was usually them doing the theft and now your dad gone she had no motivation to do and you needed money.

You had friends who were thieves like you but your mom told you not to trust them.

"Never trust a thief."

She was right.

They left you on a job when it was hard to save you and now you were in an old horse wagon going to jail.

Thanks to your love of knives, you had multiple hidden in your pants. Two guards were looking and smirking in a mocking way into your direction.

"If we weren't taking thieves to the court I'd take you to my court, darling. " one filthy guard winked at your direction. You rolled your eyes and watched the roads you knew like the back of your hand. Your hand was trying to reach the small knife located inside of your waistband. Your hands were tied from front. It was really hard to do this while two mormons were watching you.

You had an idea.

"Well, maybe we can have some fun while on the road can't we? " You flashed a flirty smile and winked.

Two guards started to grin maliciously as they looked at each other.

"Come here. " You moved to the man's lap quickly. You were sitting on his lap and you saw his eyes moved to your breasts. You slideded your two finger in your waistband and grabbed the small knife then you put your arms around his neck, your hands tied. You waited him to touch you so you could gasp and open the knife without it making a sound. It was a closed knife. There was a small button on the knife. When he touched you you gasped loudly and you clicked it at the same time. It freed you from the ropes. Unfortunately the other guard saw the ropes falling.

"Stop the wagon. " you said in a heavy voice.

"No!" One guard shouted.

You hit the men who tried to grab you by face with your elbow and cut others chin while tried to grab you as well.

You jumped out of the wagon and rolled on the dirt for a while. Then you quickly landed on your feet and ran far away.

You ran for half an hour and now we're pretty tired. You realized you dropped your water bottle and groaned to yourself. You needed water immediately. You kept looking for a water source but everywhere around you was grass.

All of a sudden you heard someone shouting.

"Fuck!"

It was a girl's voice. You moved to see a 20 year oldish brunette who dressed like a knight in practice. You realized she was pretty too when you got close. You watched her behind the tree. You saw a middle length snake moving fast in a direction away from both of you. She was bit. You knew that snake it was lethal. From what you could remember, she had a couple of minutes left. You had to leave since guards were probably after you.

You couldn't.

You ran to the girl and when she saw you she clumsily drew her sword as she winced in pain.

"You don't have much time. Let me help."

She eyed you from head to toe and made some judgement inside her head then nodded fiercely.

"Fine." She dropped her sword and let herself relax on the grass.

The bite on her leg looked bad. You did what you have saw from your father when you were bitten.

"Okay. Do you know any healers around here? "

She was sweating and it made you worried.

"Yeah yeah. " She tried to nod.

"Good." You told her and you picked her up in bridal style. She wasn't light but she wasn't heavy either.

"Tell me where we are going. "

She started to get heavier as your dehydration got worse. It has been two days since you drank or eat anything.

You started to hear a ringing sound.

"Do you hear that? "

"Hear what? " she asked you. Her face was getting more pale.

"How do you feel? " You asked her as you hurried over the direction she showed you.

"Like I've been bit by a huge damn snake."

You rolled your eyes.

"Since you still keep your humor, I guess you're fine. " You said as you kept running with her in your arms.

You didn't think what it meant for you until the healers in the castle took her to save her life. Your back hurt like bitch and you felt like you were going to pass out in any moment.

You learned she was the princess when one healer shouted "Princess!"

You started to feel dizzy from dehydration and from the fact that you could be caught too easily now that you were in the castle. One of the healers came to your side. She was saying something to you but you didn't hear anything. Your ears filled with a ringing sound before you passed out.

Okay so, I know it’s been said before, but the “A little help, Princess.” line from Willow is so telling of the character development. I just. Augh.

Up to that point Jade has been consistently pushing herself to protect Kit from everything and everyone. A large part of that is Jade has yet to see Kit as an equal in combat. In the rest of life, Jade admires Kit’s confidence and personality, but in combat she doesn’t trust in Kit’s skill. Mostly, I think, because she had been throwing the sparring matches before the quest. (I also believe that Jade holds some guilt about that, and just guilt in general, but that’s a whole other thing.)

Another part of it is that Jade has seen herself as Kit’s protector, but in the Immemorial city and at the edge of the Shattered Sea, she sees that she doesn’t need to protect Kit in the way that she has before. Don’t get me wrong, Jade is still her protector and her rock, but it is less of an all encompassing protection. She sees Kit grow into herself as a leader and a warrior and she couldn’t be prouder.

Then in the Immemorial city, Jade does something she never has before - she calls on Kit for help. She trusts that Kit will make the right decision for the situation and trusts Kit’s ability as a fighter to keep both of them safe. I think this shows character growth in Jade as well, because this ability to trust Kit keeps both of them safer. Jade won’t overextend herself trying to keep Kit from harms way, and Kit won’t do something more dangerous to prove herself.

Kit and her character growth is my whole life rn. And the fact that she still keeps traits from early season that make her, her, is so nice and keeps my soul content. Her growing with Jade and the rest of the crew.

They just make me so happy.

yes, willow makes dudebro incels mad because it’s a niche fantasy show that doesn’t take itself super seriously and features women, lesbians and poc at the forefront but also...

the reason the incel dudebros overlook it so much is that it's fundamentally a story that NEEDS to be analyzed for its themes/ fairytale & mythological inspiration, and the hero's journey. behind the silly moments and 80′s inspired ham, there’s actually some really fascinating character work happening in the show.

like, let’s take elora in episode 5 for example. she spends the whole episode projecting onto others because she’s confused about her feelings. she’s cruel to graydon and calls him out on not knowing who he is, which is unfair considering what he’s been through. but on a deeper level, it’s not that graydon doesn’t know who he is (although it is also that), but it’s also that elora doesn’t know what graydon is TO HER. if her finding him with his shirt undressed in ep 4 and helping him tie it is a representation of the awakening of her sexual desires for him, and that awakening happened while he was possessed by the lich, that means that she was attracted to that darkness. and that’s part of the reason why she’s so bothered by him in episode 5. it’s BRILLIANT. it’s juicy.

and the incels who complain about how the show is bad aren’t capable of that level of analysis. they aren’t capable of any sort of story or character analysis deeper than “who would win in a fight? goku versus saitama.”

personally? i see the value in limited edition stuff, but if the whole premise of Disney+ was to have disney content accessible at anytime by buying access to this app, then it makes the app pointless??? and also, if it was meant to be limited…market it that way?????

i also can’t help but think of the WGA strike rn and i don’t know their contracts, but i imagine these streaming companies were like “we will pay you somewhat less bc you’ll make it up in streaming residuals” and idk i can’t see how this doesn’t fuck over the workers in the new streaming economy we find ourselves in.

Look. I know Kit is a little shit. She's arrogant and bitchy most of the time, clearly thinks shes better than most.

But.

I think there's more to it. I think she's protecting herself.

She thought her dad left with Elora and basically abandoned her and Airk.

Then she learnt that Elora never left. Elora was at the castle the whole time.

So yeah, she's gotta be feeling that abandonment.

Because Madmartigan left. Not with Elora. Not with Kit. Not with Airk. To her, he just left one day and never came back.

And you can see that's how she feels as she hangs on every word that Boorman has to say about her dad.

I also think that her treatment of Jade can be, not justified, but I can't think of a better word to describe it, so justified if you put it all together.

Kit thought Madmartigan abandoned her. Then Kit went to run away and Jade basically told her that she would be abandoning Airk, like Madmartigan abandoned them. Then she learns that Jade only started hanging out with her(only in the beginning) because her mum asked Jade to.

So yeah, Kit is selfish, she's arrogant, she's a bitch, but I don't think that's who she is deep down. I think it's an act, to protect herself.

Because who wouldn't want to protect themselves in her situation. She lost her dad, then her brother, then was basically told by her best friend that they only became friends because of her mum.

I'd want to protect myself from any kinda hurt after all that as well.

Which is also why I think neither her nor Jade have mentioned the kiss or budding feelings for each other.

Kit doesn't want to lose another person. Neither does Jade after losing her family and Ballintine.

Everyone seems very confused about the timeline of Willow (2022), especially around the ages of characters, but hear me out: I'm pretty sure most of the math is there.

So we know that the events of the film took place 200 moons ago (a wild way to tell time) and we know that Boorman last saw Scorpia 80 of those moons ago. We know from Allagash that he's been in Skellin for 10 years, so presumably that's more or less equivalent to 80 moons. So there are 8 moons per year in the world of Willow.

We know Elora is about 200 moons old because we literally see her get born in the film, which translates to about 25 years old.

Jade was taken 200 moons ago according to Scorpia, who would have been old enough to remember that she lost Jade and her father at the same time, so Jade is older than Elora, given she could also count when she was taken according to Scorpia. That means Jade would have to be 27ish.

If the twins are as close in age to Elora as they could possibly be, they would be about 24 years old, and they are unlikely less than 20 years old unless Madmartigan came back from searching for the Kymerian Cuirass intermittently. We know he starts to search for it when Elora is 4 (in the flashback scene Elora is credited as being 5 and he left 9 moons ago).

Boorman is already old enough to be a squire when Elora is 4 (per the flashback), which means he is probably about ten years older than her when he first starts looking for the Cuirass. This would make him about 24 when he meets Scorpia, just to be clear.

The biggest question mark of the young cast is Graydon, who we have no stated markers for.

Willow (2022) being removed from D*sney+ is by far not the worst thing that is happening rn, but it kills me nonetheless. there have been too many emotions as of late. its cancelled, then its not cancelled just delayed, now its being taken down. idk what to feel anymore and i am done.

we shouldn’t have to fight so damn hard for representation, we shouldn’t have to petition and scream to get more than one season. of anything.

Me personally? the emotional stress of falling in love with characters and plots that are pulled out from under me like some sick fucking magic trick has ruined me just a little. this whole Willow debacle and the fact that The 100 just got removed from Canadian Netflix has drained me.
