Now i'm thinking about what's the right balance to keep G1 SG au tonally consistent, and feeling at least a little like the G1 cartoon it's based on. Particularly with the PARD incident idea.

I mean G1 can get really dark under the surface, and a little bit ON THE SURFACE too, but still.

Idk, because on average I've observed that shattered glass in total tends to get darker than baseline (but hey that's based on the SG comics I read and fanfiction so many my sample size isn't big enough)

In my opinion, it's easy for something to come off as darker than intended so you might have to treat it like adding blue paint to other colors: a little truly does go a long way.
