The Last Batch of Characters (For Now) From Book of Farside/City of Fractured Dreams
These eight (plus the minor characters) were either going in three posts or in one and frankly I'm not about to make more posts if I don't have to. Less organization.
So! This batch as Aeliana, the leader of the only "official" political party in Underside, her right hand, one of Kat's friends, the kitty cat Topside family, and my favourite forbidden romance. Enjoy!
Accessible text version below the cut.
Aeliana (She/Her) | Queer
34 yr old Undersider
Upstart politician determined to get Underside a seat at the table and a voice in Tairkyda politics
Older half-sister of Janus
Ambitious, courageous, assertive, and charismatic. Tends to get tunnel vision.
Despises Shahin and will do anything to get rid of him, as she sees him as a blight on Underside
Dog beastie with floppy ears and a tail. Also has a keen sense of smell that she can use to detect sweat and some pheromone changes, giving her an image of being able to tell when someone is lying/stressed/emotional when no one else can
Runs a massive political movement in Underside that doubles as an activist and terrorist unit
Emiko (She/Her) | Trans, Queer
28 yr old Undersider
Aeliana’s third-in-command, under Aeliana’s wife
Aeliana’s biggest fan and defender. Takes criticism of Aeliana extremely personally
Aggressive, mistrusting, observant, meticulous, insecure
Despises Kat for unclear reasons
Otto (He/Him) | Queer
22 yr old Undersider
Genius inventor who is always going underappreciated and getting dismissed by others
A close friend of Kat and her partner in finding Cináed
Deeply dislikes Aeliana and her movement, believing it’s only going to make things much worse
Fascinated by EthosTech and ArTech, but has never been able to crack either
Proud, a little goofy, excitable, and mostly just wants people to listen to him
Hitomi (She/Her) | Queer
49 yr old Topsider
Masaru’s wife and Selene’s mother
Head of the Topside spy network and a strong spy in her own right
Highly trained martial artist with beastie modifications made to accommodate her wall clinging abilities (something rare in cat beasties, but possible)
Generally good natured and good humoured, hides barbs behind teasing comments, sees far more than she lets on, pretends to be a bit of a ditz to anyone who will fall for it
Masaru (He/Him) | Queer
54 yr old Topsider
A cat beastie with big fluffy black ears with white tufts, fangs, and a long black tail with a white tip
Head of the military & the military academy of Topside
Believes strongly in law, order, and justice
Selene is his daughter. Hitomi, his wife. Loves his family, is very protective
Never recovered from losing his son, Kichirou, in class riots several years ago and still searches for answers. Blames Underside for it
A little too fanatical
Selene (She/Her) | Trans, Queer
20 yr old Topsider
Daughter of Hitomi and Masaru
A cat beastie with big ears, a tail, and fangs, as well as a cat nose
Very shy, very content with her life at the moment, doesn’t want to get in trouble or danger because she fears what happened to her brother happening to her
Very cautious and fearful. Often jumps at things
Becomes increasingly disillusioned and angered with and at the system
Eventually ends up with Kat
Hakim (He/Him) | Trans, Intersex, Queer
25 yr old Topsider
Son of a pair of wonderful mothers, one of whom is head of the Commerce & Trade Guild and is a Council member
Quiet, shy, insecure, perpetually anxious and worried
A secret Farsider. He manifested young and lost few memories, and he and his mothers have worked together for years to hide his status
Hakim can control minds and bodies via touch or song, which terrifies him and he never uses it
Tao (He/Him) | Queer
26 yr old Undersider
Xion’s older brother (unofficially adoptive)
A monkey beastie with big round ears and a long, prehensile tail strong enough to hold him and another person
A thief and a reckless adventurer always sneaking through Topside and taking what he can

Guiding Wind AU Things (Roxas):
part 4 of ?
Our boy Roxas is uh, a bit different lookin’. His connection to Ventus is technically still there, but it’s a lot weaker since Ventus is actually separate and walking around, so Roxas only gets a little from him.
No longer has access to the Oathkeeper or most of his Light-based abilities since his “light-side” connections have both been mostly severed. In the void left over from that, he develops a knack for Gravity magic and other distortions. This earns him his nickname in the Organization: the Untethered Key.
Instead of falling into a several week coma like he did in Days, Roxas gets to go into a complete dissociative fugue state where he does next to nothing, and responds to no one around him. Axel and Xion both find this really freaky and upsetting (worse than Zombie mode).
Roxas’ “disconnected” nature makes him one of those few examples of someone with an inborn immunity to possession (much like what Riku develops in 3D but naturally). This makes him distinctly not useful as a vessel and threatens his position in the Organization when Xemnas eventually finds out. More pressure and training is pushed on Xion as a result, in an attempt to rush her development to make her replace Roxas before he starts getting too independent.
Roxas doesn’t experience dreams (or...can’t) at all. He becomes jealous of other people’s dreams, (even if its just his Nobody friends reliving past memories in their sleep), because of the meaning they hold to them. (And even if they claim to be faking, the Org members seem to ‘feel’ something in regards to those memories, something he wants too.)
Still a good boy, if more anxious. Roxas is pretty aware--both from his own observations, and with Xemnas tacitly talking over his head about--that he’s a pretty weird Nobody in general. Many of the others don’t seem to know what to make of him, even when he’s trying his best.
After Xion runs away, Roxas goes after her, but...he finds Vanitas instead. He feels a draw and instinctively recognizes Vanitas, but mistakes him for Sora. Vanitas is actually amused by this and makes a point of screwing with Roxas’ head, not telling him his actual name and introducing himself as “Your Worst Nightmare” instead. They fight of course, but interference from Riku forces Vanitas to withdraw. As one might imagine, this encounter does not make Roxas’ later aggression towards Sora any better.
Roxas can walk on air with gravity magic, replacing the Glide he would have otherwise inherited from Sora/Ventus. He actually borrows a couple of pointers from Xigbar in his combat strategy, minus the teleporting. Having him run at you, several meters in the air, while upside down is actually really scary.
A rough edit for his design concept:
Tumblr media
--Brown hair from Sora
--Windswept style from Ventus
--Gray/desaturated blue eyes as a symbolism of his inherent disconnection
--Somehow latched on to a part of Vanitas to summon a remnant variant of the Void Gear as part of his dual-wielding mode (also the oblivion+void theming is just...*chef’s kiss* excellent)

blakeworther- I personally I love your hc’s so much- any au’s or anything ya got for them? I really wanna know more about what goes on.
This was once again a BAD QUESTION TO ASK
Aside from the Skyward Sword AU, which I never went back to again, there’s only one AU that I like for Blakeworther, which is the AU that I like for everything ever. I’m not even sure I consider it a true AU, even though it absolutely is. So, okay, I have this thing called the WHAM ARMY, which is a massive crossover group of my favorite villains (led by the eight who make up the acronym but this ain’t about them). Obviously, because Victor, Vincent, and Albert are all pretty firmly villains (even if they lean “those weird morally bereft people we end up being friends with somehow”), I want them to join the WHAM ARMY. So my thoughts for them here are pretty much how they’d react in a multicrossover setting, which of my other villain loves they’d get along with, and what the intro arc is for them. Keep in mind I haven’t gotten here in the fanfic yet, so some of this could change in practice, but here are my plans right now.
Cringe ahead.
-They aren’t the originals. I want to make something that doesn’t trip over canon’s current trajectory, even though I don’t know exactly where canon is going, so what happens is that Vexen (Kingdom Hearts) is going to rebuild the three of them as replicas, since he can easily find memory cores for Victor and Vincent in Myers’ storage rooms and there’s just going to be an Albert core there for no reason.
-Vexen then pulls some Chain of Memories magic and restricts the memories they have access to. They will only remember things we have literally seen in VTSOM/TWDAK, and then I can have him release more of their memory banks to them as we get more chapters. (Even if they all three get redemption arcs, my replica versions can stay little shits!)
-He DOES NOT tell them that they’re not the originals! For all they know, they fell asleep at the last day they remember and woke up here. But they figure it out on their own despite his best efforts. They still want to get their memories back anyway so they know what the people they were replicated from were like and have a framework to build their personalities from.
-Yes, of course they’re cyborgs! Cyborg replicas. Since they’re operating by KH rules, they prooooobably don’t need to eat human meat? But also I like when villains do fucked-up things and I have jokes about the others packaging “cyborg chow” to embarrass them so maybe they still do engage in a little cannibalism, as a treat
-Each was engineered with a different specialty. Vincent’s is raw physical strength; he can walk into a gunfight without even needing a weapon and still have a chance of winning. Victor’s arms have been upgraded to hold a variety of cannons; he’s the team sniper. Albert is the team “mage”; he can conjure Dream Eaters. In this AU, TWDAK Dream Eaters and KH Dream Eaters are basically the same thing. Albert has mastered a strange art of being able to draw Dream Pieces out of the Realm of Sleep and implant them in physical forms of creatures in the waking world, creating his army. They look like they do because he hates the pastel aesthetic of KH Dream Eaters and redesigned his personal ones to look more fitting with his aesthetic. He’s also a speedster.
-The intro mission involves Vexen attempting to track down a newly-rebuilt Xion (this AU is divergent from KHIII) in Radiant Garden so he can bring her back under his control with some brainwashing. I’m also bringing in the Tsviets as past experiments of Vexen’s, so he’s basically pitting his newer models of experiment against his old ones.
-The party he already has built by this point is going to be Demyx, Simon Laurent (Infinity Train), Tsumugi Shirogane (DanganRonpa), skekSil (The Dark Crystal), and a couple other people I haven’t hinted at instory yet and don’t quite want to spoil. But Simon, Tsumugi, and skekSil will all also be Vexen’s creations - Simon and skekSil are replicas and Tsumugi is an android.
-Vincent, Victor, and Albert wake up for the first time, and while Vincent and Victor remember each other as friends, they’re just like “And why is our nemesis from RMU also here?”
-Albert probably fights with Vincent for dominance of the trio and I’m not sure which one of them is the trio leader at this point.
-I moved Nine Bean Hill from World of Final Fantasy to Radiant Garden because Radiant Garden needs a coffee shop and first of all, thanks to Hunger Games Simulator fuckery, my friends and I have an in-joke about Vincent Edgeworth having an eternal grudge against Dunkacino, so I’m going to use the coffee shop to reference this somehow without having to put actual Corporate Brainwashed Al Pacino in this ‘verse
-But also I like to think Lann and Reynn play a lot of bubblegum pop, so catch Victor and Albert dancing to the PA like idiots and then getting Demyx, skekSil, and Simon in on it while Vincent and Vexen are like “Oh God why are these our friends”
-(There are reasons this particular Demyx goes by a different name instory and it’s weirding me out to type “Demyx” for this post)
-Without spoiling too much of the arc, there IS a part where Blakeworther beats up the Tsviets, there IS a part where they battle the Anima summon from FFX and win, and there IS a part where despite all of this, Xion kicks their asses across the city
-They go through this mission seeing each other as partners and friends (though Vincent and Albert are reluctant to use the “friend” word at first), but after they all get back to base, they’re just...suddenly overwhelmed with the fact that they’re strangers in a strange land missing half their memories.
-They room together, and they end up crawling into the same bed for solidarity reasons. This is actually where I first envisioned the “rough day” sleeping position - Vincent and Victor are chest-to-chest, then Albert just snuggles in behind Victor and the other two are like “Okay, we’re gonna just let this happen” and Vincent and Albert touch at one tangent point where their arms cross.
-The days might get a little rougher after they realize they aren’t even the originals.
-Eventually they assimilate into the chaos house with no problem.
-Vincent tends to hang out with the party poopers of the house. Especially Mozenrath (Aladdin: The Animated Series). (P.S. If there are any VTSOM fans out there who also know the 90s Aladdin TV series...I CAN’T be the only one who noticed the surface similarities here, right?)
-Victor Blake and Roman Torchwick (RWBY). Oh, God, this is the hell duo. They’re party animals who love to dance and drink and dance drunk. It was not a good idea to let these two redheads meet.
-Albert and Neopolitan (RWBY)! They both love stabbing people and Victorian button boots! I actually kinda have this idea that they would pick up more fucked-up serial killer types to hang out with them - Mad Madam Mim (The Sword in the Stone) is their patron despite being a much tamer example, but Albert also decides he really likes Scaramouche (Samurai Jack), Junko Enoshima (DanganRonpa), and Jerome Valeska (Gotham).
-For a real deep cut, Albert also opens up a joint Dream Therapy office with Dr. Cheshire Broach (Crypt TV). It’s either called “Krueger & Broach” or “Broach & Krueger” depending on how long it takes either to notice that the other moved his name to the front of the sign again. You should ABSOLUTELY not trust either of these men to give you legitimate therapy (though if you’re good friends with them, they can and will use their dreamon powers to help you best your nightmares in a bloody fashion).
-Actually this ‘verse is the entire reason I thought of them doing drag karaoke to “United We Stand” by Amberian Dawn because the WHAM ARMY is all about karaoke, drag, and any combination of the two
-I haven’t decided yet if their romance will be a slow burn or a faster affair. I’m expecting them to tell me as I write out the fic. But I think in a lot of respects, it’s going to be more of a friends-to-lovers story than their original forms had. The three of them are forced to become an elite cyborg warrior unit created by the same mad scientist, they had a big bonding mission together where they became ride or die (whether or not they want to admit it), and eventually...we can start revealing that they’re CATCHING FEELINGS.
-The WHAM ARMY has many, many power couples and ships of various numbers of people but Blakeworther ends up becoming yet another POWER THROUPLE around base, and it’s understood that messing with one of them will earn the wrath of the other two
-They go on to assist in many, many missions with the purpose of taking over various worlds and kingdoms and just fucking them up
-Vincent Edgeworth will kill the TBTC equivalent of Dunkacino
You have to understand that TBTC is my hyperfixation to end all hyperfixations. Every piece of fiction I touch ends up related to it in some way. At some point the majority of how I interact with Blakeworther is going to be through this AU. I’m just a sucker for crossovers and villains having a place to be bros and party.

KH3 Secret Reports
By completing Battle Portals 1-13 in KH3, you can obtain thirteen secret reports!  I couldn’t find a transcript of those reports online so they are listed below.
~~~SPOILERS~~~
Secret Report #1:
Recollections—
Am I alive?
I awoke in a cell, alone until the researchers came with their tests and their prodding to uncover my identity.
I had no answer to offer them.  Four friends, and a key… that is the sum total of my memory.  I could not even recall my name.  I was simply called “X” there.  My only solace was the time I spent talking with the two boys who would visit from time to time.
One day, A man came to take me from the prison.  I could not see him for the darkness, save that he wore an eyepatch.  Even now, years on, I feel no closer to understanding who or what I am.
May my heart be my guiding key.
—Unknown
Secret Report #2:
Mark of Mastery Journal—
Some days have passed since I set off on my journey to prepare for the Mark of Mastery examination.  Eraqus asked for leave to undertake the same pilgrimage, but apparently I am to be first to tour the worlds written of in the old fairy tales.
Until a few short years ago, I’d known only my own world, a spec of land surrounded by sea.  But how I’d dreamed of, reared for the World beyond… And, granted guidance from the future, I left that nest behind.  As I treaded the path to my master’s side, I came in contact with darkness in many forms.  I knew even then, as by instinct: terrifying as its power was, it could be harnessed.  Mastered.
Eraqus is a blue blood, descended from the very first masters in the age of fairy tales.  But I did not come this far to indulge in adulation.  I will be his peer.  His equal.  And to do that, I must learn to wield the power born from both darkness and light in proper balance.
—Xehanort
Secret Report #3:
Experiments of the Heart
Notes on Subject X, Excerpt 1—
Subject was found in the central square shortly after dawn.  Female, approximately fifteen years old.  After seven days’ observation, she spoke her first words, but could not provide a name.  Subject exhibits signs of profound amnesia, and displays concern about which world this is.  Her words suggest that she departed her home world with others, though she cannot recall the names of her erstwhile companions.  All efforts to explore those memories have been met with a rejection response.
After his initial experiments on me, Ansem the Wise ceased his research into the heart, his hand stayed by some fear I cannot fathom.  Yet this new subject is like me: devoid of memories.  She is the perfect sample upon which to continue my master’s work.  She, too, could benefit from it; by traversing the heart, we have a direct path into memory.  I myself have begun to reclaim my lost past thanks to these very experiments.
Who is she?  Whence has she come?  These are questions no scientist could ignore.  And the words she muttered, “May your heart be your guiding key”…
—Xehanort
Secret Report #4:
Experiments of the Heart
Notes on Subject X, Excerpt 2—
Subject’s memories have not returned, and our conversations remain less than lucid.  What fragments can be gleaned evoke a bygone world, like one out of fairy tales.  As improbable as it seems, the question may not be where she has come from, but when.  If she truly has crossed through time, the prospects of probing her heart is all the more compelling.
My pilot studies used a handful of subjects, but none possessed the fortitude to endure them.  Ultimately, all suffered mental collapse.  I knew it would be a heavy blow to lose a subject as unique as she.
Upon discovering the tests I’ve been conducting, my master demand that I cease my work immediately and destroy what research I have compiled.  Worse still, he ordered the release of my remaining subjects.  She is gone.
Where is Subject X now?  Has “wise” Master Ansem hidden her away?  Whatever the case, I will not be deterred.  I will take her place as the first subject in the grand experiment to come.
—Xehanort
Secret Report #5:
Memoirs, Excerpt 1—
That castle was a wonderland to us children.  Within its walls, Ansem the Wise conducted his research, and the fruits it bore allowed everyone outside to live in peace and happiness.  That alone was enough to stoke our interest, though not all of the rumors that escaped its walls were so benevolent.  By night, the muffled sounds of human wails emerged.  There was talk of dangerous human experimentation.  Lea and I couldn’t help but hatch a plot to steal inside and sate our curiosity.
The two who stood guard at the gates were researchers themselves, though you wouldn’t think it to see them, massive and barrel-chested as they were.  And slipping past that duo was only the first hurdle.  It proved one not easily cleared; we were found and tossed out on our ears, time and again.
On the day we finally secured our entry, we descended the long spiral stair at the heart of the castle to find a dark space below it, lined with cages.  There wasn’t light enough to see if they were inhabited, and we were in no position to call out to any occupants within.  Yet we could feel it.  A definite presence, there in the black.  Terror washed over us, and we immediately regretted coming.  But just as we turned to flee, we heard the faintest of voices.  The urge to run was nigh overpowering, but someone or something beckoned us on.
There, framed by a tenuous sliver of light, we found her.
—Saïx
Secret Report #6:
Memoirs, Excerpt 2—
It was too dim to make out her features.  We spoke to her in hushed whispers.  Who was she?  Why was she imprisoned here?  She had no answers for us.  Had no memories at all.  She was an enigma, but I knew I wanted to help her.
And so we continued our infiltrations, most of them stopped short at the castle gates.  When we did manage our way inside, we spoke with her.  That was all the comfort two children like us could offer.  But Lea had other ideas.  He was determined to free her.  We slipped into the castle that day knowing only that we wanted, with all our hearts, to save her.
But we did not find her inside on that day or the next, or any of our subsequent visits.  Had she been moved?  Had we simply imagined her?  Lea and I knew there was only one way to be certain.  And so we stand before the castle gates today, not as trespassing children but in order to become Ansem the Wise’s newest apprentices.
—Saïx
Secret Report #7:
On the Replica Program and Reanimation—
Following my erasure and my recompilation as a human, I did not awaken right away.  Perhaps the damage was exceptionally grave.  Even after waking, I remained in bed, pondering my next course of action.
In my work on the Replica Program for the Organization, I produced some twenty vessels.  Most of the early results were failures, not one of them granted a number.  The first success to emerge from that early lot was the Riku replica.  Subsequently, Xion (No. i) was essentially indistinguishable from a natural human, though she became unstable due to the influence of others.  Using those two as my foundation, I worked to construct a number of nigh-perfect replicas, but just as they neared completion, my efforts were cut short.  I suspect Xehanort aims to use both the initial lot as well as the unused replicas from my later work.
I arose today and decided to walk out to the square, my first outing in some time.  Yet my stroll was interrupted when a surprising visitor appeared with an unexpected offer.  Though younger than me, he’d risen to become Xemnas’s right hand.  I accepted his terms and became a Nobody once more—easier to gain access to the old Replica Program that way.
Whatever it takes to atone.
—Vexen
Secret Report #8:
The “Real” Organization—
Xehanort seeks to gather twelve vessels, which—together with his true, actual self—he considers the “real” Organization XIII.  Now that he has the numbers he needs, Demyx and I are being treated as reserves.
Several others who served Xemnas in the old Organization have followed the same course as mine, electing to abandon their newly restored humanity and rejoin the “real” Organization as Nobodies.  But not Xemnas.  Xemnas cannot exist in the present because there is already a Xehanort here: the old man in charge.  The old man’s humanity prevents his Heartless and Nobody, others vanquished in the past, and his younger self from being denizens of this time.
To circumvent this, Xehanort is using the prototype replicas I created in the past as containers, plucking his other selves’ hearts from the time they existed.  Xehanort ordered me to refine the prototypes, to make them closer still to the real thing.  Perfecting my creations so they my house true, flesh-and-blood humans suits my own purposes as well.  All that remains for my atonement is to devise a way to pass on as many of the vessels as I can to those who truly deserve them.
—Vexen
Secret Report #9:
Ansem Code Conspectus, Excerpt 1—
I have pored over the data my master entrusted to Riku.  Here, I offer my preliminary conclusions.
Within Sora’s Heart are three compartmentalized “boxes,” each containing the heart of another.  One box holds Roxas.  Another holds a second heart that has been with Sora nearly as long.  The third has held its heart for much longer.  These hearts have melded with Sora’s and no longer have voices of their own.  Any attempt to mechanically extract them could prove as dire for Sora as what caused him to become a Heartless in the first place.
First, a vessel for each heart must be readied.  Then, a spark of some sort is required to induce its waking.  Obviously, the ideal solution is to restore each heart to its own body, but (whatever the case for the two unknown individuals) Roxas possesses no such thing.  The same is true for Naminé, who we believe resides in Kairi’s heart.  Still, if alternate bodies can be secured for them, all their hearts require to be awakened is that “spark”—people they cared for and who care for them, who can show them the way home.
Complete and perfect digitalization of the heart is impossible.  We can only hope to partially reconstruct it.  Thus, I see no way forward but to extract the hearts we so desperately need directly from within Sora.  Fortunately, the data stored in Twilight Town contains a near-perfect record of the memories of those who lived there—and for Roxas and Naminé especially, this is crucial.
—Ienzo
Secret Report #10:
Ansem Code Conspectus, Excerpt 2—
As for how to contain their hearts, the only conceivable option is the replicas.  If we transfer in the digital memories from the Twilight Town archive, the replicas should be able to reconstruct each individual’s human appearance with near-perfect results.  Then, their hearts need only the right spark to wake them, so they may find their way out of Sora and Kairi and into those newly made bodies.
The Replica Program was truly revolutionary, but it was incomplete at the time of the old Organization’s Dissolution.  Without Even, how are we to further the research?  We need at least three replicas: one for Roxas, one for Naminé, and one for the unknown stowaway within Sora’s heart.
These are difficult quandaries, but as I work through my master’s data, I find myself remembering the taste of ice cream.  When I was a boy, he would bring me some when we took walks together.  There will be time to regret my betrayal later.  For now, my focus must be on restoring Roxas and Naminé and proving my master had good intentions.
—Ienzo
Secret Report #11:
Observations, Excerpt 1—
I have seen it through; the Keyblade War unfolded exactly as written on the Lost Page.  Now, the Keyblade the Master enticed to me must be bequeathed to another.  Five Union leaders have been chosen from the surviving Dandelions.  I will pass the Keyblade to one of them, and then continue watching the future unfold.
Yet it seems that someone has pulled the old switcheroo.  One of the Five is an imposter, someone the Master did not choose.  They represent a virus in the program he so carefully wrote.
The virus has begun a strange undertaking: a reckless plot to allow the Five to escape into another worldlines.  Surely such a thing can’t be possible?  We’re talking about the same trick that allowed the Dandelions to transfer to other worldlines after the Keyblade War.  But these children are no Masters.  They haven’t the means… unless, of course, a certain lady of magic summoned here from the future knows more than I do.
The whole Union leader thing was supposed to be by the books.  Are these new events just another phase in the Master’s grand plan?
—Unknown
Secret Report #12:
Observations, Excerpt 2—
Even on a worldline with no Keyblade War, peace is but a dream.  In the absence of us and our Master, a “darkness” arrived—one that shall surely lead the World to yet another demise.
Amid the chaos, I bequeathed my Keyblade to one of the Union leaders, just as the Master instructed.  I watched as the Five were sent to another worldline—at no small cost—ensuring the line of Keyblade wielders will live on.  And now, Keybladeless, I must depart this land to fulfill my final task.  This means casting my own body aside and sojourning my heart in vessel after vessel—as many as it takes.
But I will continue gazing upon each passing era, one unto the next.  In time, be it years or decades, centuries or millennia, I will meet the Five once more.
Somewhere in this cyclical history of bequeathings, a chosen one will appear and reenact the Keyblade War.
When this scapegoat arrives and takes my Keyblade in hand, that will be the time to take the stage and finish my role.
The Lost Masters will awaken.
—Unknown
Secret Report #13:
Observations, Excerpt 3—
It seems this body, this name will be my last.  The lives I have lived over the ages could fill volumes, but for now I must focus on what matters most.
The Keyblade has been successfully passed down, generation to generation, and it seems a Keyblade Master devoted to the darkness may finally arise.  Until now, I have watched over the course of events from a distance.  Perhaps the time has come to intervene.  I need only play the role of a fool desirous of the Keyblade’s power.  I will don the mask of his ally in order to keep watch over my Keyblade from close by.
The Gazing Eye: A Keyblade forged from the eye of the Master of Masters.  He passed it to me, as I have to others, and through it he can see the future—all that will ever come to pass.  Spanning the ages in body after body, life after life, my task has been to keep vigil over the Eye as it passes from hand to hand.  It has been a long time.  Longer than I can express.
But now at last the Keyblade War has begun, and Kingdom Hearts will open—a true and complete Kingdom Hearts, born of the clash between darkness and light.  I will soon be reunited with my old companions, and in that moment my long vigil will reach its end.  He will return…
Introducing Skuld into the castle experiments story didn't even have to come at the expense of Kairi, Isa, and Lea. There were supposed to many victims, adding one more wouldn't be too much of a stretch. But I guess they wanted to make Subject X unique, so the stories of others were harmed so she would stand out more.
Yes, I have thought the exact same thing. It would have made 100 times more sense if they were ALL test subjects. Then it would actually feel believable that they’d feel a close bond with this girl. There was no need to make them apprentices of all things.
But I’ve also wondered if there was a different reason Lea and Isa’s story was altered. Was it because the original experiments into the “darkness of the heart" were deemed too dark and had to be censored? Unfortunately, I find this very possible.
Were The Experiments Into The “Darkness of the Heart” Censored By Disney?
Tumblr media
Alter- Our usage is trying to follow the programmers usage of this word. A dissociated part of the mind which has a separate identity and is given cue codes by the mind-control programmers, to trigger that dissociated part of the mind to come to the front of the mind. The alter’s identity may be a gem, rock, a tape recorder, a poodle, a white kitten, a dove, a horse, or even think of itself as a person or a demon. It all depends on its programming.
Alter Fragment- An alter is different from an alter fragment in that the alter fragment is a dissociated part of the mind which serves only a single purpose. The programmers will give an alter a history, and insure that shadow alters will provide a full range of accessible emotions. Sometimes the distinctions between alters and alter fragments is vague, but examples from the two ends of the spectrum are easy to tell apart.
Switching–This is when one part (fragment) of the mind takes over from another, or in simple terms, this is when one alter personality (or alter fragment) takes the body from the alter which is holding the body. Switching can occur via the Programmers’ codes for calling up alters, or by external or internal stimuli that trigger an alter to come out. Switching will usually cause at least a flicker of the eyes, and for outside observers, who know the different personalities, they will observe another personality take the body.
It’s possible this MK Ultra-inspired subplot would have been seen as inappropriate for a franchise that needed to reach as wide of an audience as possible. Maybe it was fine in the past when the series was more obscure and flew under Disney’s radar. But once the series got so big, Disney took notice and put the brakes on it? The cancelled game was called A Fragmentary Passage. And maybe the memory experiments with Skuld were created to take the attention away from the previously mentioned experiments on darkness.
There’s a lot of rumors about Disney being linked to various mind control programs. I think most people have seen stuff like that on Youtube. Many celebrities, including former Disney channel actors and actresses are believed to be victims of mind control. When Britney Spears had her famous mental breakdown, the subject was talked about a lot. And some say that Disney movies were also used for mind control programming. Like Alice in Wonderland or Peter Pan. Here’s an example:
TINKERBELLE PROGRAMMING (never grow up/alien)
Capt’n or Cap’n (captain) represents the programmer in Peter Pan programming. Tinkerbelle is a young alter created under Peter Pan programming. ‘TRANCE DIMENSIONAL TRAVEL RIGHT FROM YOUR OWN BACKYARD. THE DIMENSIONS OF YOUR PYRAMID ARE TO BE 9 BYE 9 BYE 9 BYE.”
Alien programming (also involves Peter Pan programming)
“RIDE THE LIGHT” - Peter Pan programming meaning to go into hypnotic induction attached to a light that is seen when given a high voltage shock. This is given to make experiences seem like they occur in another dimension.
Creeeepy. Maybe Disney didn’t want that type of content associated with a game under their brand, thinking it would fuel more Illuminati conspiracies?
Wizard of Oz Programming
Over the rainbow in Oz is for the Monarch slave to be in a trance, and into a certain area of the programming. To be fluctuating at both ends as an observer and not a participant or to go to the other extreme and become a participant. The theme song of the movie goes, “Somewhere over the Rainbow…there’s a land where the dreams that you dare to dream really come true.” These lyrics are a method to hypnotically confuse the brain to perceive that the “over the Rainbow experience” (which is usually horrible abuse) is a “dream”.
The dissociative mind is only too happy to call the trauma a dream, which is lived as a reality for a moment, but is nevertheless recorded by the mind as a fantasy. The term for this is cryptoamnesia, which means the process where the proper functioning of memory is hypnotically messed up. The slave’s internal world becomes “reality” and the external real world becomes the Land of Oz which is perceived as make-believe.
I have always found the subject of government mind control very interesting, and have read many books about it over the years. It’s a big reason I found Lea and Isa’s story so utterly fascinating and overflowing with potential. And it’s why I am so mad at how terribly it was handled.
Tin Man Programming
The Tin Man programming is all purpose versatile program for what ever the master needs done, it means that the slave is a well oiled machine. Sometimes the slave is reluctant to do a job but he is being told that he is a well oiled machine. The exact words may vary with the mission, but the following are exact words, “LEAVE YOUR SHELL. ACTIVATE: MACHINE. COUNT DOWN ONE TO TIN….” “SOON WE’LL HAVE YOU PURRING LIKE A WELL OILED MACHINE. ALL OF YOUR MOVING PARTS ARE PIVOTAL AND GLIDING WITH EASE. MELT INTO MY HANDS. TAKE MY COMMANDS. I’LL HOLD YOUR JAW TO KEEP IT FROM SLIPPING WHILE YOU SLIP THROUGH A WINDOW IN TIME.”
There’s something called the Tin Man programming.
The programming that is related to the Tin Man produces a monarch slave which is described as “A WELL OILED MACHINE” by the handlers. U.S. Sen. Allen Simpson, one of the perpetrators of the Monarch Program, referred to the Tin Man programming when he told a slave “THESE ARE BUT EMPTY SHELLS OF THE LIFE THEY WERE ONCE POSSESSED. LIKE YOU ARE–EMPTY AND VOID OF LIFE.”
Book 3 Ozma of Oz: “I am only a ma-chine, and can-not feel sor-row or joy, no mat-ter what hap-pens.” This is teaching mechanical dissociation, and coincides with Tin Man programming.
I think THIS is the true reason why Saïx hated Xion so much.
Day 150: Dealing with Xion
As expected, the Duplicate is starting to show its limits. The Program showed promise, but a puppet is just a puppet: something to be toyed with until it breaks. I am utterly at a loss as to what Roxas and Axel see in that thing. How best to dispose of it merits my consideration going forward.
She’s a machine. He can’t see her as anything else. And he went through Tin Man programming, so he subconsciously remembers being called a “well-oiled machine”. And to make matters worse, she has a HEART. It’s only natural he’d despise her. I can’t even blame him, honestly.Stuff like this is why I found him so utterly fascinating. And why I thought his characterization in KH3 was a total JOKE.
Tumblr media
“SILENCE!” is both in the movie and a command of the Oz Programming. This word SILENCE stands for a code of “no talk” which runs deep in the mind of the slave. As in the movie, certain slave alters will talk to their masters as Dorothy did, “If you please, Sir…” The keys (and triggers) to control the switching of personalities and to give orders are frequently based on Wizard of Oz material.
There’s also silence programming. Having one’s mouth covered is thought to be a sign of someone who has been mind-controlled.
“Very well.” Finally, Xemnas stifled his laughter, though he still sounded intensely amused. “You’re reinstated into the organization.”
“But—!” Saïx jumped to his feet again. At that, Xemnas’s smile disappeared.
“Silence,” he growled, returning his attention to Axel. “Where are Naminé and the boy?”
Look how he growled at Saïx when he said “silence”. Sheesh.
In the Round Room, Saïx looked up at Xemnas high above. “Are you sure we’re dealing with Xion and Roxas the right way?”
His tone was markedly different from usual, as if he spoke to an old friend rather than a superior.
Saïx grows more and more obedient as Days goes on. He becomes more and more one with Xehanort, his mind control handler/programmer.
“Is the device functioning properly?” Xemnas inquired. He and Saïx were the only ones in the Round Room.
“Yes, sir. Luxord and Demyx have been placing them in various worlds before Roxas visits.” Saïx couldn’t fathom what Xemnas’s true objective might be.
“Sora or Xion—it matters not. But we need one of them under our control. Bear that in mind.”
Saïx nodded, and a serene smile came to Xemnas’s face. If that smile meant anything, it was beyond him.
When Saïx nods at Xemnas obediently, he smiles serenely. Veeery creepy.
The codes for slaves follow patterns. There are standard and unique codes. The internal programming alters have the power to change codes if they need to protect the programming.
They will have to hypnotically work with alters when they trance out at night. In other words, most of their programming of front alters will be done when a System lies down for “sleep”–more accurately described as “for trance.”
Fits the “sleep” theme KHBBS and KH3D had.
Tumblr media
Scarecrow Programming
Monarch slaves are threatened with fire, like the Scarecrow. They also see people dismembered like the Scarecrow was dismembered. For them it is not an idle threat. The front alters also have hearts full of pain like Scarecrow. Certain alters are not given courage and most have their hearts taken from them.
The alters who are programmed not to have hearts are hypnotically told the same thing the Tin Man says, “I could be human if I only had a heart.” Some alters are taught they are stupid and have no brain. Scarecrow is asked the question, “How can you talk without a brain?” Scarecrow answers, “Some people without a brain can do a lot of talking.”
There’s also programming involving fire, and brainwashing the person by telling them they have no heart. Sounds kinda familiar.
Vexen: Unnngh… Axel, wh…why…?
Axel: You sure love to talk. It’s about time you shut up — forever.
Vexen: No… Don’t do it…!
Axel: We’re nobodies, Vexen. We’ve got no one to be — but we still “are.” So look on the bright side. You’re off the hook. Now you can be nothing instead of just being nobody.
Vexen: M-Mercy, Axel! I don’t want to…go yet…
Axel: NOW you can tell me I don’t respect my elders.
Can’t blame Axel for killing him.
Delta–This is a Greek letter shaped like a triangle which symbolizes change in calculus. It has become a favorite word to use in naming things for the occult elite. Delta teams are 4 person assassination teams which usually are secret teams. Delta Forces is an elite unit that operates under the Joint chiefs of staff that is made up of highly trained total mind-controlled slaves. Delta models are slaves whose sole purpose is assassination. Delta alters are alters within an Illuminati alter system which are programmed to be assassins. These alters are often some of the deepest in a system and in a Genie bottle or with Umbrella programming.
Delta is shaped like a triangle, which is also the alchemical symbol for Fire.
Porcelain Face Programming
Fire/burning torture is used in the porcelain face programming. The charismatic branch of the satanic Network (such as the Assembly of God churches) uses porcelain face programming. This is done by using wax masks upon the victim, and giving them fire torture. The person actually thinks that their face has melted. At that point, the programmer pretends to be a god & a hero, and tells the person he will give them a new face, a porcelain mask.
These new faces by the way, look like the ones sold in so many stores. The memories of abuse are then hypnotically hid behind the masks. To take off the masks is to abreact & burn again. If anyone touches the faces of alters with porcelain face programming, the alters will feel a burning sensation because their masks are not to be tampered with. This means that these alters have via torture & hypnosis lost their own faces! As long as these alters stay in denial of what has happened to them, they do not have to face the burn torture memories.
Is this the true backstory of Axel? It would make a lot of sense. Um. Yikes.No wonder Axel never wanted to leave the Organization, regardless of how fucked up Saïx was. He could never abandon Isa and leave him in a group like this. Never.
Keys to the Kingdom Programming
The Catholic Church has long said, “Give me a child by the age of 5 and they will be Catholic”. The Catholic Church is one of the largest parts of the network that carries out Monarch Mind Control. It is a fact, that if the Jesuits can place in their programming–what they call the “Keys to the Kingdom” Monarch Mind Control within a child, they will control his destiny.
One Jesuit priest is on record as stating that there is nothing he can’t make anyone do with torture. The Jesuits developed torture to a fine art in the Inquisition. Imagine the expertise they have brought to the Monarch Program which begins torturing children at 18 months onward with every sophisticated torture device invented. If the Jesuits brag that they can convince adults to do anything via torture, what about baby children?
Is this what Ventus was?
It was true that Ventus’s heart had been damaged. Master Xehanort had originally raised Ventus to become his vessel, but Ventus had proven to be too kind. Thus, Master Xehanort had split his heart into light and darkness so that he could make use of him in another way.
While he had succeeded in birthing Vanitas, Ventus had remained unconscious, broken after the removal of his heart. Though Master Xehanort had initially tried to discard Ventus after he failed to awaken, for some reason the boy had come to his senses.
In the novel, it was stated that Master Xehanort raised Ventus. Maybe he was originally just an orphan Xehanort found. Or maybe he kidnapped Ven?
Xion: But I thought we were friends.
Axel: Hey, I’m not about to tell you ALL my dark secrets. Got it memorized? I bet you keep a thing or two from me.
Roxas: I don’t have any dark secrets.
Axel: Ha ha, relax, would ya? I’m kidding.
This is another reason why I would have preferred Ventus and Roxas to be the same character. Roxas and Axel become very close. But Roxas has no memories of his past. Axel keeps his past a secret. But if Ven regained his memories, they would find out they had a very similar past. Roxas does have dark secrets. And so does Xion, which would be Kairi’s past as a test subject.
If the Programmers want, they can shatter a front alter and create a new alter to replace the original front. The abuse can be done by the victim themselves to themselves, because programming alters are given the ability to pull up horrific memories via codes. Those traumatic memories, which shattered the mind the first time, are still capable of doing it again when they are abreacted (that is relived by the body & mind).
When Ven meets Master Xehanort at the Keyblade Graveyard before he tells him about Eraqus, is this what happened? Yikes.
Tumblr media
In review, the elements that make up a single whole personality–family history, personal history and memories of abilities, talents and one’s self image have all been stripped from the child when the mind divides itself up into sections walled off by amnesia walls. When the programmers work with each memory part, they have the option to give it all the elements of whatever personality they want it to have. They can even make it into an animal or an inanimate object, because that little fragment has has no chance to contradict what it is being programmed to believe.  Although the memory part of the brain (which provides a person’s personality) is divided, other parts of the brain function intact.
Is this what inspired Isa’s story? MK Ultra is intimately connected to Satanic Ritual Abuse, according to the testimony of many survivors. Mind control experiments were alleged to be performed on children in connection with Satanism (and other churches). For example Michael Aquino, the founder of the Temple of Set, has a very dark history filled with ritual child sex abuse allegations, going back to the 1970′s.
The Moonchild rituals are the rituals to demonize a fetus. However, the demons that are invoked are not the small ones, but very powerful ones. In working with victims of this programming, it is clear that high level demons were placed within these people at very early ages. It is believed many of them were demonized before they were born by rituals like the Moonchild rituals.
Blood sacrifices and human sacrifices are always required for this level of magic. Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) was a Satanist who was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Freemason. He also was a leader in a number of other Masonic rites as well as an OTO leader, a chief in Stella Matutina, and a MI-6 (Br. overseas intelligence) agent. His writings have been important within 20th century Satanism and with black magicians. He wrote Moonchild, first published in 1917.
If Isa was Subject X, what does that say about him? He was kidnapped as a young teen. He has an X symbolizing death on his forehead. He gets a heart fragment of a cult leader implanted inside of him. He develops amnesia afterwards. Isa is the fictional equivalent of a kidnapped and demonically-possessed child victim of Satanic Ritual Abuse.
The goal was to produce the “Moonchild” – a being who embodies physically a spirit deity, but not inhabited by a human soul. This being is also referred to as a “Magical Child” (essentially designed to manifest an individual incarnation of the archetypal divine feminine called Babalon). The process draws heavily from rituals and magick that Crowley derived from The Babylonian Ishtar and the “Great Whore” from the biblical “Book of Revelation.”
The idea of the Moonchild is that by use of black magic, a perfect soul can be captured. The belief in reincarnation, which is prevalent among the Illuminati and Satanic groups, lends itself to the belief that souls compete for a particular embryo. On page 107- 108 of Moonchild, the idea is expressed, “To produce a man who should not be bound up in his heredity, and should have the environment which they desired for him.”
And Isa was seen as special. He was dubbed “X” for a reason.
This perfect soul in a proper person is called Homunculus. The actual rituals carried out to create a Moonchild are described in detail in three of Crowley’s writings. A vague description of the rituals can be seen by reading the book Moonchild. The ritual took place at a villa nicknamed The Butterfly Net. The villa was really an occult temple laid out in sacred geometrics. It had figures of satyrs, fauns, and nymphs. It had statues of Artemis. Lots of silver objects and crescents and 9-pointed stars were at the villa, because these objects all relate to the Moon in magic. The moon’s influence was repeatedly invoked. A small triangular silver altar to Artemis was used. Prayers were made to Artemis, and there was the reenactment of the capture of Diana by Pan.
And he does have a weapon named “Artemis”. Yikes.
Tumblr media
Another better way of looking at what happens is to understand that the part of the brain that records personal memory–that is the personal history memory section, is divided up into little pieces by amnesia walls built to protect itself from the repeated traumas. Each section is walled off from another section by amnesia. Each trauma has an amnesia wall built around it. Each trauma memory is sectioned off. That walled off section is a piece of memory that will be identified, and a hypnotic cue attached by the programmers that will pull it up to the conscious mind. And further, if the programmers so desire, it can be given a history, a name, a job, and developed into a full-blown personality.
The programming is not designed to damage these areas, only to control what emotions they contain are linked in memory to the various memory fragments that will be made into personalities. The reticular formation is the location of the brain’s mechanism which determines the state of consciousness all the way from alert, to hypnotic trance, to sleep, to coma. It interacts with the frontal lobes and the rest of the brain. Each memory is a function of several parts of the brain working together.
This all fits into the “bits and pieces of something whole” theme of A Fragmentary Passage was supposed to revolve around.
“Well, it’s a break, in a sense… Xemnas also went out, you see.”
“Hmm… it’s rare for him to go out,” Luxord said, quietly, tidying the cards.
“No, he goes here and there fairly often. Because now is a very important time for the organisation.”
“What’s very important?” Axel asked, peering into Xigbar’s face.
“The world is moving. We’ve gotta be worried about own fragment’s movement, right?”
“Fragment?” Luxord leaned his head to one side.
“The rest is a secret,” said Xigbar, teasingly, getting off the table and starting to walk. “Be really careful not to let them use you.”
At Xigbar’s words, Axel and Luxord looked at each other.
This is a really interesting part of the Short Stories novel. Xigbar is privy to something going on, while Axel and Luxord are not. And it involves a “fragment”. This was no doubt supposed to foreshadow A Fragmentary Passage. They had ideas for that story planned all the way back when the KH2 Novels were written. It sucks that we’ll never know what it’s all about.
When a Monarch slave sees an hour glass they may switch, but basically it is a reminder that the slave masters have the power to run a person’s time out. One slave was told, “The sand that sifts through the hourglass is a measure of your worthiness to live or die.” The hour glass shape is basically two triangles which touch at their peaks, or an X configuration with the tops of the X having lines.
Young Xehanort’s Keyblade has an hourglass keychain. Master Xehanort switched to Isa to attack Lea at the end of KH3D.
We can practice unconditional love, peace and Harmlessness. This helps to integrate and heal our Fragments to unify, as well as neutralize any Negative Emotional Energy in the environment. When we stop feeding the energy reversals, they are gradually taken offline. When we can hold compassionate witnessing and refuse to be triggered into negative emotional states, we are refusing to be manipulated and siphoned by the negative entities. Additionally, truly empathic and unconditionally loving humans may also gain the spiritual power to recollect and transit the consciousness Fragments of sacrificed children and traumatized people that are trapped in the earth realms, and this is an important service we can do to help heal the earth.
Furthermore, the concept of soul fragmentation and soul retrieval is big in various esoteric and New Age circles. They believe they can help child victims of Satanic Ritual Abuse and mind control, who are trapped in the earth’s astral realms. Isa’s character seems largely inspired by this concept. Which I must say, is incredibly unique. I’ve never seen another character with a story like that. It’s very cool and extremely fascinating and I have to give Nomura and the writers credit.
Secret ceremony where people paint their faces half black and half white.
Sister of Light rebirthing water ceremony (victim is bound and then pulled from water and wrapped up in linen, and a green branch is place on the chest)
St. Agnes Eve St. Bartholomew’s Day
St. Walpurgis
Summer Soltstice Orgy
A list of occult ceremonies.
Note the ceremony called “drawing down the moon”.
For those who are not familiar with occult terms the following are ritual items: Paten (the holy dish), Athame or Glaive (the knife used to sacrifice with), the wand or sceptre (an ornamental staff which represents authority & usually has an electric shock), and the censer (to distribute burning fragrance)
Xemnas’ Ethereal Blades fit the bill here. The Recusant’s Sigil is also a symbol of authority.
In upper level Illuminati slaves, Dorothy in the Oz story will represent the Mother of Darkness alters, Ozma will represent the Ruler of the Castle, and Glinda will have the Great Book of Records. The ring of Glinda gives protection.
Xemnas is the master of the castle.
‘‘I’ve come a long long way to see you” -Words to say by System to John or to person to be met. There is an endless variety of contact phrases to indicate that the right person has met the right person.
“I’ve been to see him. He looks a lot like you.”
End-time Activation Codes
Most slaves have end-time programming. When a slave is called in with end-time programming they have pages upon pages of coded messages. A number of Monarch slaves have been de-programmed enough that they began accessing and spewing out pages and pages of these activation codes. Part of a sample of one of these is as follows:
ISRAEL IS RISING
900 BLUE BIRD PILOTS RISE
NATIONS IN PLACE
RED CHINA CALL BACK
COUNT DOWN, ACTIVATE ALEX
CIRCLE FARMS AROUND THE SQUARE
BRITISH SOLDIERS RISE
MOUNTAIN GOAT COME
EASTSIDE OF PEAK
1.7 ACTIVATE THE HOUR COMES, A. C. SON ACTIVATE
AFRICA ARISE IN NUMBERS OF 90…
A team leader will have a down line of around 4 people–which are coded red ray, yellow ray, green ray, blue ray. When the activation code hits a slave team leader during the end times, they will in turn activate their people, who in turn will have people who are team leaders and have a down line. At least two false callback alarms will be sounded (tested) before the real one.
There’s something called end-times programming. Now look at these passages from the Short Stories novel. It’s from the same story that mentioned the “fragment”.
“Won’t you keep it in moderation? It’s loud, I can’t sleep.”
“Not being able to sleep cause of the noise is kinda, well, human-like, isn’t it?” Demyx said, smiling. His hand kept moving over the strings.
“Fool. Nobodies need rest too. A terrible force is moving this world. We gotta rest to store up power.”
“The world? I dunno nothing about that. I dunno anything you members from the old days are thinking,” Demyx spat in a loud voice, continuing to play the sitar. Xaldin frowned in displeasure, and disappeared.
Demyx’s sitar continued to play.
Xaldin was privy to the same thing Xigbar was. Demyx was clearly not. Yeah, I always thought Xaldin was important in some way.
Who the hell made the neon lights in this city?
Axel looked up at the pitch dark sky.The sky of this world is completely black, with no moon or stars, like it’s pressing down.
“Where do you intend on going?”The person who calls out like they’ve been watching me all along, in a place like this. It never fails to be him.Saïx.
“Anywhere’s good, right?” Axel said, without turning around, pulling his hood over his face.
“Don’t leave this world without a mission.”
“This place is suffocating,” Axel said, as he started walking.
“…Can’t you hear the world’s screams?”
“Screams?”
Axel finally turned around, and looked up at Saïx standing on a stairway.
“The time when we should move will come soon.”
“I dunno, whatever.” Axel turned his back on Saïx, and opened a dark portal in front of him.
Saïx was privy, too. But he might just be reciting programmed code. Axel was definitely creeped out, though. Weeeeird. I can’t imagine how he felt after watching his friend get turned into a mind-controlled zombie robot. Poor Axel.
Tumblr media
CHI (return to cult)
Chi programming uses a lot of idiosyncratic phrases, and little ditties. Some of the nursery rhymes listed in the song section will be Chi programming. Some of the Chi programming has been listed in the Alpha programming section.
This is why Xehanort is always able to find them with the X. It’s why he retrieved Isa. He had to return to the cult.
OMEGA (Internal Computers)
The Omega programming works along with an Executive Control Board (or Grand Druid Council) and Internal programmers. The Executive Control Board is associated with both numbers of the clock, and precious gems and metals such as “9 O’CLOCK GOLD”. The Beast computer can be accessed with Scripture triggers associated with the Vision of Daniel of the Beast, and its ten toes. The Ten Toes are important part of the code in some models. Program numbers on some slaves are put in by touching the third eye with the index finger and speaking the number.
Saïx was given the scar on his third eye, a new name with an X in it, and a number in the Organization. “As you flesh bears the sigil, so shall your name be known as that of a Recusant”.
The Traumatization and Torture of The Victim
The basis for the success of the Monarch mind-control programming is that different personalities or personality parts called alters can be created who do not know each other, but who can take the body at different times. The amnesia walls that are built by traumas, form a protective shield of secrecy that protects the abusers from being found out, and prevents the front personalities who hold the body much of the time to know how their System of alters is being used.
This is no doubt what Xehanort wanted to do to Isa. Leave him completely blank for programming purposes. But Ansem intervened and restored his memories.
As a child begins its programming, it is monitored in a fashion similar to hospitals where charts are filled and then these charts are filed. Tests and evaluations are done regularly. Goals are set which are six month programming goals. These will say in effect, we need to accomplish this by doing a, b, c, d in the next six months.
This was probably Kairi, Lea, and Isa’s situation. Think about the notes on Subject X.
A male Monarch victim remembers a large hanger building at China Lake with a concrete floor and row after row of cages suspended from the ceiling filling the large building. One of the Programmers was dressed similar to a Catholic Priest. The electric current that ran to the cages made a hum, like an electric fence. There was a marble slab that served as an altar where black-hooded robed people would take a bone handled knife and sacrifice little children in front of the other children in the cages.
Would explain the cages. Organization XIII is actually really disturbing and horrifying if you think about it. It’s basically a Satanic Cult.
Along with the suicide programs that can be triggered are programs that jerk the victim’s mind every which way, which include: Bee Stinging Program (put in by placing the drugged victim being near large swarms of bees humming & then letting a bee(s) sting the victim). Cutting programs are often hidden behind the Bee Swarming program.
One of Xigbar’s weapons is named “Killer Bee”. Did he give Isa the scar? Would NOT surprise me one bit.
The primary important factor for the trauma-based mind-control is the ability to disassociate. It was discovered that this ability is passed genetically from generation to generation.
A sense of time & a sense of self are attached to autobiographical memories–these things are stripped of an alter as it functions within the programming. Memory storage is also linked to the brain’s state of mind at the time. Hormones released at the time of an experience will modulate the strength of the memory of that experience. The limbichypothalamic system of the brain (which consists of the amygdala, hippocampus, cingulate gyrus, fornix, septum, certain nuclei of the thalamus, and the Papez circuit) has a central modulating part which interacts with peripheral hormones. Peripheral epinephrine will be released if the amygdala is electrically stimulated. The adrenal medulla releases epinephrine that is vital for memory storage. In other words, there are hormones which help the brain remember or not.
The experiments were all about getting a subject to renounce their sense of self.
The mind of the victim is not only divided from itself, but the very process of torture, makes the victim distrustful of humans in general. On top of this distrust, the programmers will layer in programming to isolate the person from healthy relationships, which in turn increases the victim’s feeling of helplessness. They are divided from their own parts (their own self) and the world in general.
Yeah, Isa needed the power of waking. Badly. This is why the story left such a bad taste in my mouth, and why I complain so much about it. Isa was kidnapped and forcefully inducted into a Satanic cult as child, through use of mind control techniques. It just infuriates me that poor Isa was not rescued from this disgusting shit! I could never consider that a good ending. Fuck no.
Kingdom Hearts Series
So I've spent the last month beating every Kingdom Hearts game on proud or critical in preparation for KH3 and I gotta say most of them are great with a few exceptions. Get ready for a bunch of reviews!
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix: 9/10
Probably my absolute favourite such a crisp game easy to play but with unexpected depth to it. Doesnt devolve into spamming reaction commands like 2. I gotta say once you get Leaf Bracer Second Chance and Once More most fights are a cake walk. I did all the optional content in this one and the added bosses in final mix 1.5 are great!
Kingdom Heart Re:Chain of Memories: 7.5/10
I really love card battle systems and CoM has a pretty great one. Not Baiten Kaitos tier but still fun to play through. Loses some points for how repetitive the worlds are, you basically run through reskins of the same rooms for 10 hours but the game itself is fun and I love the Castle Oblivion crew.
Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix: 7/10
Eh. When I played this as a teenager I loved it but when it doesnt really stack up next to the other games and I think its objectively worse than KH1. The worlds boil down to 5 small rooms each, combat becomes either spamming commands or spamming drives. The worlds are some of my favourite but the execution of the gameplay of the worlds is pretty lame. Hottest version of Riku though and nothing is better then sora hugging kairi and then FALLING ON HIS KNEES AND WEEPING AND HOLDING RIKUS HAND 2 seconds later. They are boyfriends just btw.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days: 5/10
This is a bad game with an okay story. The gameplay is honestly garbage holding the DS the way you have to hurts your hand after like an hour. Super boring mission system but I appreciate the attempt at something new. The story is slow till the last 100 days then is really cool I genuinely love Xion Roxas and Axel. The panel system is awful the worlds are copies from KH1 with less actual worlds than the original game. I wish I watched the movie version but I felt obliged to beat them all... the story is the saving grace here and even then it's not laid out very well.
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix: 8.5/10
My second favourite game for sure, I love the story and character more than KH1 but it also suffers from empty worlds like KH2 so it knocked it down slightly. Still that's really my only gripe. Aqua is one of the most fun characters in the series to play as. The command board is like crack to me because I FUCKING LOVE MONOPLY. I like fusing commands to find new cool shit and the ending of BBS is easily one of my favourite moment in KH. A prequel that does everything right, if you never gave it a chance you are missing out! Aqua deserves to be happy...
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD: 8/10
Such an unexpectedly fun game. Of all things the WORLDS are the best part here. Not because they are all great Disney choices but because of how massive they are and the new flowmotion movement mechanics. Sadly the great action gameplay is weighed down by the Dream Eaters you have to raise. Super boring minigames and you have to use the system to get commands this time so you cant just fire and forget. TWEWY was a cool choice and really fit the game thematically. Also the story here was great, at least for Riku. It really rounded out his character and I wish he was the main protagonist of the series now. Check it out for sure if you're a KH Fan.
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage 7/10
I know this is basically just a tech demo but it was really solid. I would do anything to play as Aqua again and getting to see her journey in the world of darkness was great. Gameplay is solid graphics beautiful, it did its job getting me pumped for KH3. Not much to say due to how short it was but the few worlds it had were very fun and interactive!
I have to admit I didn't play recoded which I apologize for. I just dont have access to the game only the movie on the collection and I'd rather play the game. Kingdom Hearts is a great series and every game except Days deserves a playthrough!
KH Re:Chain of Memories
though i only replayed Re:Chain of Memories on the PS4, i do end up talking about the original GBA port. i really want to replay CoM again to see if it holds up, but alas...
Intro-Summary: Chain of Memories, originally published for the GameBoy Advance, is the direct sequel to KH1 on the PS2 and co-developed by Square Enix with Jupiter (a company focused on handheld console games). It was remade to the PS2 and titled “Re:Chain of Memories” years later. This PS2 port is found on subsequent KH collections 1.5, 2.5, and “The Story So Far”. The story follows Sora, Donald, and Goofy after restoring Destiny Islands at the end of KH1. They find a place called Castle Oblivion, home to those called Organization XIII. As Sora & co. climb its stairs to search for Riku and King Mickey, they find new memories begin to surface and discover the whereabouts about a girl named Namine and learn about how she fits into the picture.
KH Re:Views
kh1: final mix / re:chain of memories (here) / re:com - reverse/rebirth / 358/2 days / kh2: final mix / birth by sleep: final mix / dream drop distance / BBS: 0.2 -a fragmentary passage- / kh3 / kh3: ReMIND dlc
gameplay
the card-based battle system is annoying to slug through in the beginning. and it’s never as fitting as it was on the 2D field of the GBA.
sleights are the best!!!! they are so fun!! one of my complaints about kh1 was how difficult it was to access sora’s special power moves because of his low AP. re:com fixes this by setting the special moves as card combos, and placing it under the limitations of all actions sora can do on the battlefield before reloading his deck. it’s a smart change that made the card battle system bearable.
it also allows for some REALLY different and varied attack arsenal. the amount of customization is much more varied compared to kh1, which is a welcome change for me
Friendship ended with ARS ARCANUM Now SONIC BLADE is my best friend (you can stunlock and defeat bosses using ONLY this move, it’s bonkers and broken)
sonic blade was cheesed by yours truly during some really annoying boss fights oops
story
the story’s pretty engaging, though i find myself frustrated over how… dense sora can be at times? he seems to very easily forget that each floor is a level in a magic eldritch castle. it’s annoying, though it might be a side effect of namine shuffling sora’s memories around.
i honestly can’t tell if kh1′s filler worlds were worse, better, just as bad as re:CoM’s filler levels. probably better because at least there were actually voiced cutscenes
namine’s role in the story is, like, the most interesting role any female character in kh has had except for xion, really. namine is played straight as a victim, ultimately, but it’s a nice spin meta-wise to have her willingly hurt sora for her own gains (to a degree, she’s a gal with limited options). she gets a background role in kh2, but it was nice to see her take action in saving kairi and reuniting her with sora. all of that started in CoM.
(namine being called a witch reminded me of revolutionary girl utena too.)
though i must admit it sucks that namine has some god-tier, reality-bending powers, but never actually gets to use it for the betterment of herself and her friends. it always comes as a result of some sort of outside force or circumstance that forces her hand.
this isn’t part of CoM, but i really REALLY wished that the series actually talked about namine’s origins/conception in detail. there’s a cutscene in kh2:FM where xemnas gives roxas his name but there’s nothing like that for namine, which is a shame
characters
namine is my third favorite character overall after aqua and sora). even though she’s very much the tragique fragile girl, namine does end up making choices for herself to help sora. i love her so much because she, to me, is the most complexly-written character of the entire series. her personality, motivations, actions, and circumstances are a lot more nuanced than any other character. the only other charactesr i would say are as interesting as namine are axel and the master of masters from khux/back cover
repliku…. oh, repliku. he kinda felt like a flanderization of kh1 riku, which i suppose was the point. he was alright, i don’t really care nor dislike him much. his spotlight moments in kh3 were a bit of a surprise to me though
larxene is the baddest bitch around and i love it. she’s the only female kh character who is so deceptive and nasty. i love to hate her.
anyone who actually hates larxene is either: a) not seeing the bigger picture of kh’s stark lack of female characters, or b) a completely untrustworthy fool
axel is SO cool in CoM. he’s a genuinely well-written character in CoM who has a lot of depth to him that marluxia, larxene, AND vexen severely lack. i like that you know axel was plotting to betray marluxia and larxene, but he also genuinely sympathized with namine at the same time. he’s a lot more.. idk, interesting? in CoM than in (the original publication of) kh2. his final mix scenes with namine helped out, since his character did not orbit around roxas as much in those scenes.
graphics
there’s an obvious improvement in graphics from kh1 to re:CoM, but that’s a given considering it was made 6 years later
i found the white rooms/floors in the home console version to be less eerie and ominous like how they were in the original GBA game.
i would, in fact, go so far as to say the GBA CoM is more visually stunning than the PS2 Re:CoM. the sprite work done by Jupiter is still incredible to look at today and I really commend the team for translating KH’s bright visual style so flawlessly into the GBA system.
my personal highlights would definitely be the VN-styled character portraits. in an interview with some of the game devs, they discussed how they had to parse down the list of sprites allowed for each character, forcing them to choose and design sprites that are incredibly emotive yet versatile. and it shows!
on one final note, the way the neoshadows were animated in the GBA port are truly some creepy nightmare fuel. i was legitimately terrified of they way they would rise from the floor and slowly inch towards sora before rushing at him at an ungodly speed during the exploration floors  。゚(゚ノД`゚)゚。 that shit was terrifying
art & design
the heartless & most of the floors are recycled designs so there’s not much to say about them. i would like to add that the rooms in Re:CoM are a huge step down from kh1′s worlds, since the very nature of the rooms in Castle Oblivion limit the variety in structure, details, and design options compared to the more open rooms of kh1.
i like how the sleeping pods sora sleeps in resemble lotus flowers and their buds. it’s a clever design choice, given that the lotus flower is a symbol of purity and rebirth and sora must rest in them in order to get his “pure” memories back and experience his rebirth in kh2.
namine’s simple white dress fits well with Castle Oblivion’s aesthetic (though i really do wish she got a wardrobe update in kh2 and kh3). it’s also a stark contrast to the OrgXIII coats. her design makes her look like a benign and harmless young girl when she’s actually capable of some pretty terrifying stuff.
again, there’s not much to say about the home console port of CoM. a lot of the assets were probably/most definitely lifted from the PS2 games, so there isn’t anything particularly groundbreaking about Re:CoM. the original GBA port, however, is still absolutely gorgeous to look at. i wish i still had my copy so i could play it again and really take in its art and design.
tl;dr - though i abhor the card based system, it’s way better than kh1′s gameplay. the sleights customization makes for a fun time imo, though it can be unbalanced/easy to cheese. filler levels are even more obvious in this game and i hate how hard it is to get the room of rewards. overall i give it a 7.5/10. it’s a very solid game as a remake, but it’s not as fun to play as kh2, aka the gold standard of KH games.
Sora may have opened the door in KH1
This isn’t to say Riku didn’t do wrong in KH1. He did. But, as far as the door and Destiny Islands is concerned, I think we’ve been getting hints for 20 years that it was Sora and Riku just got blamed for it on top of what he DID do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How did Riku leave the islands? He disappeared into darkness and woke up at Hollow Bastion. You’ll recall Alice Lidell did the same. A disappearing act, so to speak. Data Riku and Xehanort leave through a dark corridor as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the film, Alice cried tears and floated into Wonderland. Water plus sadness equals DARKNESS, my friends. She never opened the door.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whether KH2 First Visit Belle is a Riku or Sora parallel in this particular scene is in the eye of the beholder. She’s a Disney character in a relationship so she’s one of the characters that it switches depending on the circumstance to create a balance in the relationship that is Sora and Riku but...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The 3D scene in the dream had me very...curious as to what was going on because we didn’t see Ansem SOD in the original version and sleep holds our memories they say which is why Roxas was able to access Xion’s memories and tell Axel something only Xion would know. That he’d always be there to bring them back. I don’t want to imply Ansem SOD possessed Sora in this moment but it’s plausible since...they met earlier. It always came off as odd to me that Ansem SOD would even speak to Sora if he wasn’t about to use him.
Tumblr media
YMX says that Ansem SOD possessed Riku and saw his experiences in real time which...okay, then why wasn’t he with Riku here...? He doesn’t follow Riku when he runs to the inlet. He doesn’t follow him in the dark corridor either. We don’t even see Ansem SOD again until Hollow Bastion way later on when we KNOW he actually does possess Riku. Riku doesn’t know him in the COM Novel when he meets him on the islands during Departure. HE DOESN’T KNOW HIM. Sora does. Isn’t that...suspicious? All Ansem SOD says is that the door will open soon and Riku goes off to find Sora. He doesn’t open a door!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He doesn’t remember Ansem SOD being there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But he was following him.
Right before this scene, Data Riku states something very interesting after Data Sora accuses him of causing the bugs (the cause being Sora’s shadow). He says: “This world has been connected. Memory and reality now stand tied. It’s time for you to learn the truth.” Ansem the Wise states that data is a clue. The Datascape is shown again in Re:Mind to “remind” us that the future is already written and to go back and revisit the game known as Coded. But I recommend ALL the games on top of that so you can put the pieces together like I have. This is what Remy from Ratatouille was trying to tell Sora and co. about the fruit that he was gathering. (Essentially Nomura trying to hint to the audience that the answers are all THERE if you do enough digging.) He was trying to take the pieces and make it into a dish. In each game, therein lies another hint. Another piece of the puzzle. This is how I work out my theories. I treat each game as apart of each other without the assumption that nothing was planned. This is how Riku laughing like Namine did in COM WORKS even if it’s only finally shown in 3D and KH3. Writing evolves over time and so do characters.
“On the road ahead, more than one truth will come to light.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What strikes me as even odd is that what they use to put Sora in a deeper sleep in 3D is things that happened back when the Islands fell but one of them wasn’t Riku holding out his hand or Kairi being swept away from darkness. It was something we never saw. It’s Ansem SOD coming up close to Sora while he’s either sitting or lying down. Perhaps...before he took a nap at the start of the game even. Hopefully, you’ve read my meta on how Replica Riku has some of Sora’s memories. Horrifying really as he’s used to play on Sora’s guilt as a way to get him further into the castle. But there’s one line in particular that bothered me to no end in the COM novel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ventus didn’t remember what happened to Strelitzia nor taking the book for himself. Baldr didn’t initially remember what happened to Hoder. It’s not that hard to grasp Sora might...not correctly remember a good chunk of things. Especially with how vaguely he describes his KH1 hurt in KH3. I imagine a person whose eyes cannot lie like Master of Masters...might educate him on the truth and it will probably be very ugly. My understanding is Sora’s true darkness will involve remembering. Yes, forgetting can hurt but knowing the truth will hurt you even more. I think remembering everything will be what breaks Sora. It certainly didn’t have a good reaction on Ventus or Baldr, now did it?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A very small bonus. Yuffie, a memorable “thief”, opens a door and hurts Donald in the process in the world right after the door opens and the darkness carries Kairi away so...there’s that. Sora is shown running through it also.
Tumblr media
TLDR; check out the rest of this scene from KHUX below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alice is on trial for opening the door to Wonderland and she didn’t do it but is found guilty despite the lack of evidence against her. Hm...but how did Player get into Wonderland, I wonder? Ever consider that?
