I haven't answered this before!! I have posted about my favourite characters before - reblogging gifsets and such, but I have never made an official list of my favourite characters. So I thought this would be interesting. Based on this, I decided to do an official list of

My Top Ten Favourite Characters In The Walking Dead

Fair warning: This list contains spoilers for the show. If you are just watching the show for the first time, or if you have never seen it before and you want to watch it spoiler-free, then don't read this list. It contains mentions of character deaths and major plot points from the show.

Honorable Mentions: Gareth (probably my favourite villain from the whole show), Noah (such a great character, saddest death), Carol (her character arc is so good that it makes me wanna vomit confetti), T-Dog (they wasted his character so much it makes me wanna cry sometimes), Sasha (such an amazing badass and I love her soft, sweet moments, and her death literally had me screaming), Andrea (I love the display of a sister/sister dynamic with her and Amy, and I love how they showed her struggle with mental health and suicidal ideation and being left behind). OH FUCK I ALMOST FORGOT (because I haven't watched their seasons in a while, I have an excuse) - King Ezekiel (he is so sexy and like he has a TIGER and the way he talks is so beautiful I don't care if it's theater kid bs), Jerry (I love him so much I need to write a fic about him some day), Aaron (Rick tying him to a pole and forcing him to eat applesauce as a form of torture will forever live on in my mind as peak comedy).

There is actually very few characters from the show I dislike - even when it comes to the villains, I feel like they have their merit and their place in the show. But here are my top ten characters in the show that I will always cheer on and scream when they come on screen

10. Dale Horvath

I love Dale so fucking much.

I have mentioned this before, but a lot of the time people adopt blorbos from shows romantically (like a boyfriend or a wife), or platonically as a best friend, or sometimes even as a child you want to take care of (like the Stranger Things kids) - but I am someone, who, at an alarming rate, adopts blorbos who I want to be my father.

I have such a wide blorbo collection of father figures. Gideon from Criminal Minds, John from the Saw films - the list goes on.

Dale is my father. I love him so much as a father.

Right from the moment he made that speech around the fire about 'this watch will suit you no better than it suited me, no better than it suited his father or his father before him' - it was so DAD. and him talking about fixing the fucking radiator hose, and begging them all to save Randall. Like I love how compassionate he is, and how he is so slow and caring. And I hate that the actor left the show, but I love how it adds this symbolism - that Dale is not suited for their world. The world was turning too dark for him.

He is a character who brings something amazing for me every single time he's on screen. I love him so much.

9. Bob Stookey

I love Bob!!

I am so, so in love with the Bob/Sasha ship, and how she unintentionally saved him from slipping back into alcoholism and that stupid game they play where she says something negative and he puts a positive spin on it - it the definition of grumpy grump and sunshine person. I love it so much.

But I would have to say that Bob is slightly more my favourite of the two.

I love his upbeat attitude, and even though I wish that he would have stuck around longer (like with a lot of the characters who were killed off too soon) - his death was so perfectly jarring. I feel like a lot of people say that The Walking Dead isn't scary, which I don't fully get? There is a lot of terrifying parts to it, and Bob's death is absolutely one of them. His death feels like a set piece from a horror film. Him seeing his own severed leg on the fire and screaming 'tainted meat!! tainted meat!!!' is one of the most wonderfully horrifying things ever. And it does make me like his character more because I love the horror of it.

I also think his backstory is so interesting.

Him being alone for so long and finally finding a family at the prison - it hit me. Ooof.

(The next characters, I am having such a hard time putting in order because I love them all so much.)

8. Beth Greene

I don't see a lot of people saying that Beth is their favourite character, and I don't get it?

I know that it's very easy to view soft female characters as weak, but honestly - I love Beth's weakness. Her jump towards suicide when finding out the truly hopeless situation is so relatable (how many fucking people make memes about 'why do people wanna survive the apocalypse, I would just die!!!') - but they mock her at the same time?

And when Rick was out to lunch and Lori had died, Beth stepped up and took care of an infant when she was just a teenager and it was not at all supposed to be her responsibility and there was plenty of other adults around to do it - but she took pride in taking care of the baby and fostering new life.

I feel like a lot of people don't see the silent strength in her character, and while her death is sad because of how it affected Daryl and Maggie, I think it's sadder because of the lost potential of her character. I would have loved to see how she did in Alexandria. How jarring a quaint community was to her after everything she had been through.

Also - I was one of the people who shipped her and Noah. And can you imagine the what the storyline would have been like, paralleling her random boyfriend's death at the BigStop with Noah's death?? Like - emotionally detatched Beth vs Beth who is just learning to feel again???

Devastating.

Also - a lot of people say that Still is one of the worst episodes because it's boring, but I think it is by far one of the best episodes in the show. It's part of why I love TWD - because it's raw, slow character work. I fucking love it. It's one of my favourite Beth episodes (and it's one of the things that made me love Daryl).

7. Tara Chambler

A character that I was not expecting to like as much as I do. When she introduced herself as a cop and did the whole 'hey, hey, buddy, this isn't the four seasons' to the Governor leading his plate outside (like, it is the Governor, but she came off as too rude) - finding out that her being rude was just terrified gay cat posturing is hilarious.

And she is not only one of my favourite TWD characters, but she is one of my favourite characters of all time.

I can't even describe all the ways I love her. The fact that she is Glenn's ride or die and they have the Lesbian and Lesbian Protector vibes going on, the fact that she is funny, sweet, awkward, dorky, cute. Her saying 'I know you're scared, and I know it sucks, but you have to be brave right now' - is eternally stuck in my head. And it helps me get through everyday life.

I just love her so much. She is so precious to me.

6. Abraham Ford

The love of my life. Every time he opens his mouth, I feel inspired to kick god's ass.

I wasn't too sure about him when he first came on the show because he was disrupting Gleggie, but then - I learned to love him so fucking quick. I love the way he talks, I love his attitude, I love how imposing he is.

"When you were pourin' the Bisquik... do you intend to make pancakes?"

He. Is. Iconic.

Now, every single time that fucking truck pulls up beside Glenn's unconscious body, I scream. Because GREATM is the greatest squad of all time (it was back when Eugene was still tolerable).

Even without Maggie, they were GREAT. (puns <3)

5. Michonne

I have said this before, but I feel like she is such an underappreciated character outside of her relationship with Rick.

I love her in the earlier seasons - how her showing kindness to Andrea and taking her in unintentionally gives her good faith with Rick's group and ends up giving her a home with them later on - even the utter coincidence of her overhearing Maggie and Glenn being kidnapped and taking the formula to Judith.

I also just love her dynamic with Andrea.

"We need a couple of days to get our shit together."

"My shit never stopped being together."

(That will never not be funny to me.)

And I love how she is a character who is presented with such a tough outer shell, but she is slowly revealed to have a softer side, when interacting with Judith and Carl. I really love her when she first comes onto the show, and I wish they wouldn't have tried to cut away her edges and just put her in Lori's place. (Maybe the new show will bring back more of the old aspects of her character - the toughness with only showing a soft side around family. But idk)

4. Daryl Dixon

He is definitely one of my favourite characters of all time.

Again, a character that I didn't like when he was first introduced on the show (but I think that is the intention and part of the beauty of it) - and it's fun to rewatch the beginning of the show and laugh at how much of an asshole he is when he's first introduced.

I think it's truly iconic that his first line in the show is "son of a bitch!" like, it says so much about his character in the best way.

His evolution from asshole loner to the emotional core of the group and one of the leaders is so well done, and the way he handles himself around children is so sexy. I don't know if I have said this before, but I am often attracted to characters based on their actions rather than their looks, and he is absolutely one of those characters. I wanna fuck him senseless because he makes children a priority in his life and because he is very selfless. OOOOOOF

3. Rosita Espinosa

I need to write a fanfic about her!!! It is something that needs to be on my priority list! I need to write a fic about how she finds out that she is a lesbian during the apocalypse, especially after all the men she has dated. it would be amazing

Anyway - I'm in love with her. Her short shorts are one of the reasons I'm gay. those shorts had a very special impact on me during my teen years.

I love how one of the general themes of TWD is breaking down gender barriers, and her character represents that so much. she is so fucking powerful, and I love it. I also love how the actress got the character killed off in the most 'last hurrah' peaceful way possible in the last episode just so she couldn't be brought back for any reboots. hilarious

2. Maggie Greene (Rhee)

I don't even know what I can say about Maggie

"Some chick came in like Zorro on a horse and took Lori. It was awesome"

Glenn already said it.

Maggie presents like this demure little farm girl at first, and then she seamlessly rides her horse and takes out Walkers at the same time - she has no problem mastering a gun, or any other weapon she is given. she is one of those characters who somehow looks stunningly gorgeous while filthy and sweaty. she is smart, badass, holds herself so well.

I love her so much.

and as I have said so many times before - I need to be in a Gleggie sandwhich. I need it. (I feel like being in a poly relationship with Abraham, Rosita, Tara, Maggie, and Glenn would be the best part of my post apocalyptic life, but hey - who's gonna write that fanfic? maybe me.)

1. Glenn Rhee

What else can I say about Glenn?

If you have been following me for more than five minutes, you have heard me talk about how fucking much I love Glenn. He is easily my singular favourite character of all time. Right from the moment I first heard his voice inside the tank, I fell in love with him.

He was the first character I ever wrote death denial fanfiction for, and at the time, it was the only twd fandom thing I had posted on my all kpop fanfiction blog. And I didn't even care if anybody else read it or care about it - I wrote it and posted it because I needed to mourn. Because his character death hit me so hard, and I am still 100% in denial of his character death to his day. I pretend it never happened.

Anyway - I love Glenn so much!

He is the hopeful one of the show, he is the heart of the show. Everything he does in the show matters so much to me. The fact that he always lifts them up and reminds them who they are matters to me. He had to die for the group to go in such a dark and hopeless direction. And he will always have such a special place in my heart.

Ezekiel: during his elimination episode, I was pissed at him, but by the time total drama drama drama drama drama island hit I wasn't that upset tbh. He didn't deserve to go feral, and his issue was fixable (unlike some other bitch up for elimination that episode >:^( ) stop the Zeke abuse y'all

EVA! 😍😍😍😍😍: I love her and my whole world revolves around her. I would be nothing without Eva. If you don't stan Eva get off my page (/hj). Live, laugh, love, Eva. Friendly reminder we wouldn't exist without Queen Eva. She is so girlboss she literally ate a goalie net, broke records, and did stunt work on the side. Everyone bow for our queen.

Noah: don't hate me, but he gets too much hype. I still love him and think he has some of the best oneliners but he is so dry other than that. A fucking chicken without seasoning. This sounds hypocritical based off my Eva opinion, but Noah was in three seasons and Eva was in only one. Noah's only plot relevance was being cynical and sarcastic, being sus of Alejandro, and simping for Emma, yet he has a million and one stans.

Justin: I preferred it when he didn't speak.

Katie & Sadie: I also would prefer it if you didn't speak.

So here's mine, only I'm going to start with my LEAST favorite first gens, and working my way up.

Also, THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE I WON’T LIKE YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER, OR LIKE YOUR LEAST FAVORITE CHARACTER.

Angering people is inevitable.

With the exception of last place, I DO NOT HATE ANY OF THESE PEOPLE. I do dislike some aspects of them, but I can say something positive about them.

I will probably go into more detail on my thoughts later, if you want me to make analysis posts about anyone.

24/23: Katie & Sadie -

It really was no contest. These two are insufferable, and absolutely did not need to exist in the show. I still have NO IDEA why they lasted longer in the game than Noah, or how Sadie lasted up till episode 11, by doing NOTHING. And even after the game, all they ever do is be annoying, argue a lot, or gush over boys and hate Gwen. With the other characters on this list, they at least had potential to be good, even if I dislike some of them. But these two? Nuh uh. They just should not have existed.

Their ‘drama’ is an absolute joke. I cannot take anything they argue about seriously, because it’s either pathetic, off topic of their situation, or just downright annoying and dissing on other people. Their whole character is that they’re friends, they like boys, and they argue like a married couple. That’s it.

OKAY, these are the ONLY characters I hate in this entire list.

22:

Eva -

There really was no positive traits to be had with Eva, was there? Maybe she could have, but she's only the bad tempered archetype, with nothing else to add onto her. She only competed in 4 episodes, less than Katie and Sadie to be fair, but she still did not leave anyone wanting more of her, especially with how scary she was.

21:

Beth -

I do not apologize for this one. Beth ranks higher than the other three for at least being in more than one season, thus more screen time, but she is still NOT a good character. The problem is that she only has side character material going for her, with her friendship with Lindsay, being an asset to Heather, being an asst to Justin, her... boyfriend dilemma? All of these make her related to OTHER characters, NOT her individually. What is she like without Lindsay? Uh... she wears a lot of dentals and she follows other people. That's it. I will say I like the scene where she stands up to Heather, but I do wish it was built up to better than not at all, and even then, Lindsay topped it. But then in Action, they decided to take her SIDE character material and thrust it into a MAIN character role. It's like ATLA, only it WASN'T Aang who fights off the Fire Lord, and instead it's the Cabbage Guy. This makes it so that Beth HAS to be an interesting lead to justify her being a finalist, except, she's NOT, she spends nearly the entire game in the back gushing over a boyfriend, cheating on said boyfriend with Justin, cheating on both with Harold for NO reason, and then screwing with the competition in the finale. I can get by her saving Duncan at one point, but like, you are competing AGAINST each other! Even if you're the nicest person in the world, NOBODY would be this stupid to think it's a good idea to team up with your opponent! And she became so insufferable with this role, this UNJUSTIFIED role, that I lost any and all sympathy for her. Action completely RUINED her.

20:

Ezekiel -

Sorry, I just don't get what there is to love about this guy. I mean, yes, this guy CANNOT catch a break of abuse by the writers, but other than the gag of 'haha, Zeke's always out first' what really is there to say about Ezekiel? Maybe he could have somewhat of an interesting background, with his homeschooled life, and his twisted ideologies that made everyone hate him, but the show really doesn't dive into that. There is a fanfic titled "Ezekiel: A New Chance" on Archive, that dives into Ezekiel in a more interesting way. It's about Ezekiel being sent back in time to the start of World Tour, and trying to make amends with everything and everyone in his second chance in the game. Go read that.

Okay, before we move on, this next one I know is DEFINATELY going to trigger some people. And I don’t know if you’re ready to hear it.

I must make it clear that I DO take huge interest in the character. As a result. THIS one is only OKAY, in my overall opinion.

I DO NOT HATE THIS CHARACTER, BUT I FIND THEM PROBLEMATIC

I’m just gonna say it

Courtney -

Oof, I am gonna get hate for this one. But I'm sorry. Courtney DOES rank higher than the others and escape the 20s because I do think she is WRITTEN in an interesting way. A spoiled CIT intending to be at the top of everything slowly descending into madness over all her losses is a GOOD idea for a character. I think her transition to insanity DOES make sense, as she's never really been emotionally stable to begin with, and she becomes a great example on how this sadistic gameshow can corrupt people. I actually LIKE the idea of Courtney as an antagonist because of this fact, because Action is the only season where she seems to legitimately get called out. It's also the only elimination that's portrayed as something she deserves, the others, it's either manipulation or the game being rigged, and we're supposed to feel bad for her. Island, Harold rigged the votes. World Tour, Alejandro manipulated her. All Stars... we don't talk about that. But okay, so I think she's decently written, why is she this low on the ranking? Well, for personal reasons. She is ANNOYING. More times than not, I can't stand Courtney, as all she does is whine, scream at people, boss them around without hearing them out, and even abuse a lot of them. Even in Island I didn't care for her, and found her to be pathetic. Especially with all the bad stuff she does aside from that whining, beating up Harold, trying to kill Gwen, cheating, abusing Duncan, assisting Alejandro, etc. While I understand why she's doing it all, I can't route for her because she never gets called out for these bad actions, thus we're supposed to believe the victim deserves it and Courtney is justified in being an awful person. If she was treated like an antagonist most of the time like with Heather, I can excuse it, because we're not supposed to route for her then, but more times than not, we are, and we're not supposed to see any of her consequences as justified, we're supposed to feel SORRY for her. And I can't. I don't feel bad for abusers who don't once regret their actions or apologize, I don't feel bad for cheaters, I don't feel bad for people who have done nothing but whine the entire time. I feel next to nothing for Courtney.

But I will say this, she is interesting to talk about, so if you want my expanded thoughts, I can make an analysis post on her, if you’d like. I have, A LOT more to say.

So at least she has that.

18:

Sierra -

Yeah, Sierra is just as whiny, but at least she's in less seasons so it's less of a reoccurring complaint. I really only see her as a fangirl obsessed with Cody to progress Cody's character development, and also a very strong competitor in the game. If it weren't for her cake incident, she might have won, or sacrificed herself for Cody in the semi-finals, one of the two. That said, she is still annoying from time to time, and extremely creepy.

17:

Trent -

Good gosh, Trent is boring. Even in Island, I never cared for him and just saw him as a love interest to Gwen. He is serviceable in that role, but really didn't function right as a character without her. I think Action made that extremely evident.

16:

Justin -

In a similar vein, Justin didn't even have any lines in Island. Then in Action, his 'antagonist' role was underwhelming to say the least. He feels like a prototype of Alejandro to be honest. All Justin really did antagonistic was get Gwen eliminated, aside from that he just becomes a punching bag.

Tyler -

Tyler does have some entertaining moments for me, so he is good, just nothing special

Geoff -

Not gonna lie, I kind of flip flop between him and Tyler. While Tyler is more fun for me than Geoff, Geoff also has more screen time going for him. I'm not a super big fan of him in Action, but I do see what they were trying to do and say, and it does genuinely raise some questions. It's also nice to see him in Ridonculous Race and just be charming with Brody. But personally, if they're gonna be finalists, I would have preferred them not getting eliminated in the first place so that they didn't have to skip a part of the marathon.

Bridgette -

Gonna be honest, while I like Geoff and Bridgette and think they're good pleasant people, my problems with them are solely personal taste. I just don't find them as interesting as other characters, and thus don't really care about their actions. But Bridgette is still a good character regardless

Cody -

Also gonna be honest, Cody did NOT leave a good impression on me at the start of the show. I basically thought he was gonna be Dave, and annoying simp and a 'nice guy' to Gwen. But it wasn't long until Cody proved there was more to him than that. Like, wow, he actually thinks about what Gwen wants and needs, and is willing to put his feelings aside to help her out, and allows her to date Trent. That REALLY redeemed Cody for me, and while he wasn't as interesting as others for me, he still had my respect. Said respect and sympathy went up in World Tour when Sierra basically became exactly what I feared Cody would be, only Cody is the victim this time, and it led to some good development for him. I think he lasted a little too long in World Tour, but I am also glad they did this for him. But Protagonist worthy in the Danganronpa fanon?? Not really?? But also could have been worse.

DJ -

How can you not like DJ? He's sweet, he's kind, he's loveable, how can you not like this guy? Well I do like this guy. He's really only this low because I find other characters more interesting than him, plus World Tour does bump him down.

10:

Izzy -

I didn't think Izzy would crack the top 10 to be honest, but she's just a blast to watch. She doesn't really need any depth aside from that to be a joy.

Owen -

I actually think Owen deserved to win Island. Yeah Owen doesn't really have a character arc aside from one in World Tour with Izzy, but I don't think he really needed one. Flat characters exist guys. He is only here because Action had absolutely no idea what they were doing with him

Leshawna -

I'm a little conflicted with Leshawna in some areas. One, I don't think her arc in Action went as smoothly as they anticipated, and her bad mouthing everyone seemed out of character. This girl is NOT afraid to say aloud if she dislikes someone, in front of everybody, and even then, she has been kind and assisting towards a lot of people, so you're telling me she resents everyone, and would say so behind their back? No. Secondly, I am annoyed that she always walks the fence on her relationship with Harold. I like them together, a lot, but I want a concrete answer on if they're canon or not. Even if that answer is "No Harold, I don't want to date you. We're not official" I'd be fine because at least it's an answer! That said, I still love this chic. We all wanted to bang her at some point, don't you lie to me. She's just filled with personality and lovability.

Lindsay -

I'm kinda shocked that I like Lindsay as much as this. She's way higher than I originally anticipated. I especially love her development in the first two seasons, with finding her own good relationships, discovering on her own that Heather is a jerk, and even taking a leadership role and learning to trust her own form of intelligence more often, even if it's not traditional. Plus she's just so innocent that I find it hard to hate her. I was really rooting for her in Action to win the whole thing- and the writers completely forgot how to write her afterwards.

Gwen -

Gwen, by far, is THE most MISUNDERSTOOD character in the entire series, both by others, and by a writing standpoint. Almost every development issue that went into the script of the seasons, ended up revolving around her in some way, and Gwen's character was forced to suffer that. But that's also why she's one of the most intriguing characters to dive into, analyze, and try to make sense of this writing direction. And for me, I just feel bad for her with all of this, as she may be one of the games biggest victims, plus she does still have a cool personality and very human reactions to certain things.

Duncan -

Duncan is one of the most complex characters in the series, and while not a good person, is definitely an interesting character. Yeah, I can’t defend his actions, at all. I don’t want to. I can’t defend him cheating on Courtney, that was wrong. I can’t defend him bullying Harold, that’s also wrong. But if Duncan really is so unlikeable, why is he this high?

Two things: Intrigue, and Consequence

Unlike Courtney, Duncan actually does get called out for his actions and gets thrown down a peg when it goes too far. Though he doesn’t seem as negatively affected on the outside, it at least makes sense for him to do so with his Juvie background. That’s why I heavily like Duncan more than Courtney despite both of them are, at the end of the day, unlikeable in universe and do a lot of bad things. He gets punched when he deserves it. That’s why him cheating on Courtney with Gwen doesn’t bother me as much as it does to other people. Duncan gets called out for it. He gets comeuppance. I know it seems like he doesn’t to people, but again, he only reacts so non-challaunt about it because of his background, that’d influence such a reaction, so it makes sense.

Secondly, there’s a clear explanation and good understanding of his perspective, as to why he does these things. Courtney is a terrible girlfriend, she actively tried to change him, and any rational person in that relationship would want to leave it. Unfortunately, Duncan’s desperate need to appear as a bad person is something that admittedly does need to change in order for him to have a healthy relationship regardless, and that lack of understanding causes him to cheat with someone he thought liked these aspects of him. While that ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT excuse him cheating, it does EXPLAIN it. Why does he bully Harold? Because he rigged against his girlfriend and to Duncan, the nerd was the driving force of his girl’s insanity. He feels justified in this.

And on top of that, and this is an obvious one, there’s still several sparks of humanity and care in his character, that only becomes more prominent as the series goes on. That shows that if he really wanted to, and under better counseling, Duncan can be a good person one day. Though now that sounds extremely hard for him to achieve with where he’s at now.

So yeah, that’s why I like Duncan’s character over Courtney, and why he works for me personally, whereas Courtney doesn’t.

Alejandro -

Al is one of the best villains in the entire series, and extremely effective. He may not be the most likable character, but that goes to show how good of an antagonist he is.

Harold -

Shocked too. Harold is just so fun, so compelling of a character, such a good comic relief and yet so human, as well as such great development, that I put him THIS high. The past month or so, I could not stop thinking about him. That’s insane. Like, I was originally gonna put him at number 7 or somewhere like that, but then I just could not stop liking him. There’s not a lot wrong with this character in a writing stance, to the point where I think the people who hate him solely hate him for personal subjective reasons. And that’s cool. Yeah I like this guy, he’s spunky and cool and I like his relationship with Leshawna and his rivalry with Duncan, and overall filled to the brim with personality. I like his character development on trusting his own abilities and the responsibilities with that and how being victimized doesn’t make you justified in being a jerk. There’s just a lot I could say honestly, he’s probably one of the most overlooked TD characters, good in Island, was best boy in Action. He did unfortunately get shafted in World Tour and was a bad singer, but hey, three chapters open, and I already like him way more in “Ezekiel: A New Chance” regarding this season.

Okay, so to CLARIFY before I do my Top 2. I just want to make it clear, that I think OBJECTIVELY, #2 is the BEST Total Drama character. But SUBJECTIVELY, #1 is my FAVORITE, even though OBJECTIVELY, I do not think they’re as well written as the #2 character. There’s a DIFFERENCE.

Heather -

NO CONTEST. Heather is HANDS DOWN, the BEST TD contestant in the show, in my opinion. Heather isn't the best person, but I am factoring them as characters here, and as a character, she has some of the show's sharpest writing. I think under the right circumstances she could even become an anti-hero. Yeah she's a jerk and I hate her actions, but unlike Courtney where I'm meant to sympathize with and excuse her bad actions, I'm fully supposed to NOT forgive Heather for anything, and see her as an antagonist. But then on top of being a great villain, she gets sent an extra mile by showing us the aftermath of her defeat and that at the end of the day, she is just a person who wants money. And she's even threshed into a protagonist role in World Tour to rival Alejandro, her own dark mirror, and she wins NOT by becoming a better person or becoming a good guy, but by finding solitude in her own manipulation tactics and her own heart, even if it's a really REALLY dark shade of grey. There is zero denying that Heather is the best written TD character for me.

And you know what the crazy thing is?

She is NOT my favorite.

Noah -

I KNOW he is NOT the best written character, and is absolutely wasted potential. But I can't help it, I LOVE this guy so much! Every time he's on screen, he's a blast, every piece of dialogue he has slaps hard. He is basically me but lazier and a guy. I adore his sarcasm, I love his friendships with other characters like Izzy and Owen, I love his relationship with Emma (yep, I said it) and I absolutely wished he was in Action.

The clubhouse was your sanctuary, the place where you can forget the dramas of the outside world, your safe place. You didn’t realize how much you had missed it till you were standing at the front gate of the yard in the middle of the night. That last time you were here was for Ezekiel’s Patch In party more than a month ago. Thankfully Chucky was still around and had let you in, informing you that the guys were out on a run and wouldn’t be back for a couple more days. Walking with him into the clubhouse he had asked if you wanted him to let Coco know you were at the clubhouse. You simply told him there was no need to bother him so late at night.

Entering the clubhouse, you can tell he was now staring at the bruise that was forming on your cheek. He gave a sad look, and you simply shook your head, your way of telling him you were okay and you didn’t want to talk about it. “Do you want me to get you a room set up?” he asks you. “No, I’ll just stay in Coco’s room, sure he won’t mind. Thank you Chucky!” You give him a kiss on the cheek. You were heading to the back rooms when he called out to you, “Y/N!” you turn around to face him. “You are safe here.” He simply tells you before walking out to the office. The second you walk into Coco’s room and shut the door, all the tears that you had kept at bay up to now, came flooding out.

Waking up the next morning, you simply lay there, everything that had led to you ending up at the clubhouse in the middle of the night, overwhelming you. Getting up you make your way to the main room, Chucky greeted you with a bright smile when he saw you approaching, “Coffee?” he asked you. “That sounds amazing, thank you Chucky!” you tell him as you take a seat on one of the bar stools. “My pleasure.” He says smiling at you as he pours you a cup of coffee.

As you are sitting there enjoying your coffee and planning out your next move, a voice brings you out of your thoughts. “The fuck happened to your face?” You turned to find Letty standing there, staring. ‘Fuck’ you whisper closing your eyes. She grabbed your chin to get a better look at the bruise on your cheek, “Who the fuck did this to you y/n? My Dad is going to flip!” she tells you. “No he’s not, because we aren’t going to tell him anything.” You tell her as you snatch your face away from her grip. “Y/N, if the guys come back and they see you like that, they are all going to go cause mayhem throughout Santo Padre. And god knows what the hell Coco will do.” Letty tells you. “Don’t you think I know that Letty? That is why you aren’t telling your dad anything.” Emphases on the ‘you’ to make sure she understood that you didn’t want anyone knowing about this. “Fine. I won’t tell him.” Letty tells you, taking a seat next to you. “Are you alright?” she asks, her voice laced with concern. “I will be. Don’t you worry about me.” You give her a reassuring smile.

Not wanting to leave the safety of the clubhouse, you and Letty spent most of the day just hanging out, pretty much driving Chucky crazy. Letty was getting ready to go hang out with Gabi for a while, and you were engulfed in your Netflix show, when your phone began to ring, picking it up you smile when you see Coco’s name flash on your screen.

“Hey hermoso.” You say cheerfully. “So he lays hands on you and now you are hiding at the Clubhouse?” Coco says, you can tell how angry he was, by how calm he sounded. You silently curse Letty for going back on her word and telling Coco. “It’s nothing Coco.” You sigh, last thing you wanted to do was argue with him. “The fuck you mean it’s nothing? He laid fucking hands on you y/n!” he practically screamed, you can slightly hear the rest of the guys in the background. “I’m fine Coco, and it’s not going to happen again.” You tell him and your voice slightly breaks. You can hear him shuffling around and then a door closing. “Are you alright?” he asks you and you can hear the sadness in his voice. “I will be. Just wish you were here.” You tell him, smiling. “Is he the reason why you haven’t been around since the party?” he asks.

After you had went to EZ’s Patch party behind your boyfriends back, he had taken your phone and followed you everywhere you had went, making sure you weren’t going anywhere you weren’t supposed to or seeing anyone you didn’t need to. Not wanting to cause any drama between your then boyfriend and the club, you had cut off all contact and stopped going to the clubhouse all together. Your silence was all Coco needed to confirm his suspicions. “Fuck, querida. I’m going to kill him if I ever see him around!” Coco tells you and you know there is no lie behind his words. “I know, Coco, I know.” You simply say. “I shouldn’t have pushed you away like I did. I should have told you the truth, been honest with you and myself. Then you wouldn’t have met that pinche babaso and none of this would have happened.” Your heart clenches at Coco’s confession, tears streaming down your face. “This isn’t on you Coco. I should have said something when things started to get possessive. None of this is your fault.” You try to reassure him but you know no matter what you tell him, he will always blame himself for you getting hurt. “Look, Angel and I are headed back, should be there in a couple hours.” As much as you wanted to protest him coming back, you knew this was a battle you wouldn’t win. “Be careful Coco.” You tell him, before you hang up. Getting up off the bed you go find Letti to give her some words.

“LETICIA” you yelled down the hall, you caught her trying to sneak out the front door of the Clubhouse. “Nuh-UH, get back here missy!” you bark before she can get to the door. She turns around to face you, “I’m sorry!! He needed to know y/n.” She tells you. “You promised me you wouldn’t tell him.” As much as you wanted to be mad, you couldn’t, you knew her heart was in the right place. “Actually! I didn’t tell him, I wrote it down, well texted him. So I really didn’t break the promise.” You couldn’t help but roll your eyes and laugh. “Get out of here. Have fun with Gabi.” You laugh. “Is he on his way?” she asks you. “Yeah, should be here in a couple hours.” You let her know, she just nods. “Are you two finally going to stop playing these stupid games and tell each other how much you truly love each other?” Biting your lower lip you just shrug. “I hope so.” She gives you a smile, “I hope so to. He’s unbearable without you, and I miss having you around.” You simply grab her by the shoulder and pull her into you, wrapping your arms around her. “I know, little one. I’m sorry.” You both stood there holding each other for a while. “I can wait with you till my Dad gets here, if you want me to.” She offers as she finally pulls away. “No, that’s okay. Chucky’s in the office. I’ll be fine. Go have fun.” You shoo her away.

You tried your best to keep yourself occupied till Coco arrived. You ended up cleaning the entire Clubhouse literally from floor to ceiling, making dinner for you and Coco, even helping Chucky in the office for a bit before you sent him home for the night. You had showered, changed and made yourself somewhat presentable for Coco. As you walked out to the front of the Clubhouse, you were greeted by Coco walking in through the front door. You both freeze in your tracks when your eyes meet the other. His eyes roaming your face and zeroing in on your bruised cheek, you can see his jaw clench at the site of your bruise. Just giving him a sad smile you make your way to him, him meeting you half way. Once he is close enough his hand reaching up and cups your cheek, instantly you close your eyes and lean into his touch.

“I’m okay, Coco. ” You tell him. “I’m so fucking sorry, mi vida. I shouldn’t have said…” he started but you quickly interrupted him, “Stop! This isn’t your fault.”

“I don’t want to do this anymore. I want more. I want you!” his words nearly taking the breath right out of you. “You don’t date and I’m not your type.” You mockingly repeat his words he told you months ago. “Stop!” he rolls his eyes, shoving you gently, making you giggle.

“What are you saying, Coco. Truly!” you ask him, praying this time he will tell you what you have been dying to hear for months. “I love you. I’m so fucking in love with you. I think about you as soon as I wake up, and when I fall asleep. I think about you constantly. Hated knowing that asshole had what was supposed to mine. You make me want to be better, do better. I just…I need you. I love everything about you, because I love you.” He said breathlessly, his eyes long deeply into yours.

Reaching out to cup his cheek in one hand, your other grabbed him by his kutte; pulling him in so close that you could feel the rise and fall of his chest with every breathe he took, dancing across your lips. He smelled like cigarette smoke, exhaust and a hint of your favorite cologne. Smiling you pulled him in, your eyes fluttering close as your lips connected.

Pulling apart, slightly breathless, you sigh at the loss of contact as you looked at Coco in front of you. Your senses burned and fizzled; the entire world became muted, and blurred. “I love you, Johnny! I have since the moment I laid eyes on you.” You tell him. “So what do we do now?” he asks. “I’m new to this.” He flushes, causing you to laugh. “Shut up and just kiss me.” You say as he pulls you back into his chest, his hands fisting the loose fabric of the tshirt on your back. Leaning back in, your lips connected again with a kiss that was soft and hot and breathy, not trying to win a battle but seeking union and closeness and the sharing of one breath, one sensation, one timeless and passionate moment.

You jolted awake, hearing the banging of cabinets in your kitchen. Looking at your phone that laid beside you, it was nearing three in the morning. You had multiple messages from EZ and Angel, frowning as to why dumb and dumber left numerous messages on your phone and called you as well. Grabbing your bat, you were hoping it was Angel that was in your kitchen, hell, maybe even EZ, but you could never be too sure. Making your way out of your room, you heard Angel cussed as he rummaged through your fridge.

Sighing in relief, you placed your baseball bat back in your closet. Making your way out of your room, you found Angel sitting on your couch. He looked up at you and you could see the tears in his eyes.

“Angel, what are you doing here?”

“EZ betrayed me.” Angel uttered out, his voice thick.

This wasn’t going to blow over for Angel or Diego till Angel made it clear that you were off limits and Diego would stay away.

But at the same time, maybe it would be better for you to tell Diego to stay away. As stupid as Diego was, he knew how to follow orders. If you simply asked him to stay away, he would. And if it didn’t work then Angel could beat it in him.

“Yeah, of course sweetheart.”

“No, I can take her home.” Angel wasn’t going to let Diego take you home.

Diego stood in front of you, further aggravating Angel.

“Get the fuck out of my way. She’s my girlfriend, if I want to bring her home, then I’ll fucking do it.” Angel got into Diego’s face. You knew that things were going to pop off soon. Angel was already pissed and Diego’s demeanor was definitely not helping.

“Y/N, do you want Angel to take you home?”

“No, you can take me home.” You knew that was a mistake, but you were trying to save bloodshed here. Angel spoke about putting a bullet in him all the time and the last thing you wanted was another body for Angel to bury. “I just need to talk to him Angel.”

“Then talk to him outside, you’re not fucking leaving.”

You sighed.

Compromise.

“Fine, I can do that.”

Diego followed you outside and you both sat on the steps of your tio’s porch. You rested your arms on your knees, your foot tapping as the anxiety of talking to Diego overtook you.

“You okay?” Diego knew what you were going to say. It didn’t escape him how suspicious it was that only certain people were here tonight, but he knew what was coming and he deserved it.

“I want you to know that you were my best friend. All the times we spent together the good, the bad, and the ugly, I cherished them because they’ve taught me plenty of things.” You purses your lips, trying your best to keep your foot from shaking up and down. “But we’ve also grown apart.” Looking at him, you knew that he knew what you were trying to say. That it wasn’t ideal, but he understood.

“You remember when we graduated high school and we talked about what we wanted out of life?” Your eyebrows furrowed, trying to recall the memory he spoke of. You vaguely remember it since you were quite tipsy.

“Not really. Did you record it?” You teased.

Diego chuckled. “Well, it’s cause you’re a lightweight.” He ruffled your hair. “But you talked about what you wanted for the future, that you wanted to leave Stockton, go down south. How you wanted to get married, have kids, get a decent job. And you know what you said that really stuck to me?”

“What?”

“That you wanted to be happy. And at first I thought I could make you happy, that’s not a problem whatsoever. But I realize how many times I’ve hurt you, failed to protect you. Then I tried to ruin your relationship with Angel because I thought I could finally make you happy like I wanted to do so all those years ago. To make it up to you.” Diego bitterly smiled. “Guess I’m too late right?”

Your eyes began to water. All the things you’ve wanted to hear from Diego was happening, you weren’t making it up in your head. But you missed your friendship with Diego, you two had a solid friendship before feelings were out in place. But things couldn’t be the same anymore, things were just so different now.

“Yeah, you are.”

“It really hurts to see how happy you are with him, how much you love him.” Diego chuckled. “But I can accept that as long as you're happy cause regardless of everything, that’s all I wanted.”

“I need you to stay away from me. Our past is our past and I want to keep it that way. Maybe someday when things are better we can be friends again, but it’s better we keep our distance.”

Diego nodded his head, standing up and making his way down the stairs. “If he ever breaks your heart, I’m here for you.”

“Don’t fucking worry, I won’t.”

You turned around, surprised to hear Angel’s voice, but at the same time you weren’t. You didn’t exactly close the door and you knew Angel would stay close by.

“Take care of her Reyes.” Diego hated that this was happening, he was sick to his stomach, but he meant it. All he wanted was for you to be happy.

“Don’t need you telling me that, but I will Diegito.”

“Am I allowed to hug her?”

“That’s up to her.”

You nodded your head. He held out his hand, which you took. He wrapped his arms around you and you hugged him as well. He kissed the side of your head, whispering ‘I love you’. He let you go and took you in one last time before walking towards his bike.

You turned towards Angel, and he was leaning against the post at the top of the stairs of the porch. You walked up, and he watched until Diego was out of sight.

“Had fun down memory lane?” Angel turned to face you.

“Angel, you know that’s not what that was. I love you, I love that you want to fight my battles for me, that you want to protect me, but Diego was always a personal thing and I wanted to be the one to tell him to stay away.”

“I heard.” Angel sighed. “You’re so fucking frustrating. All I want is to be there for you and protect you, yet you couldn’t even let me do that.”

“It’s not about that, we’re a team, but this one is really just on me.”

“Exactly, we’re a team. Baby, you have to meet me halfway here. I love you, seeing how hurt you were when you first told me about him, how you were in distress when he first came into town, that was painful. The last thing I want is for you to be hurt.”

“But you can’t always prevent that, I have to learn things on my own too.”

Angel walked over to you, cupping your face, leaning his forehead against yours. “I know, but sometimes, it’s just hard for me.”

You wrapped your arms around Angel, resting your head on his chest. He kissed the top of your head. He was a bastard and there were parts of him who didn’t think he deserved you, but it was the one voice he could push aside. He wasn’t sure how he could live without you and he would rather not try.

“I’ll try to be better at it, I know you can fight your own battles mama’s, but I’m just overprotective over you.” Angel’s hand soothingly moves up and down your back.

“Which I appreciate, but sometimes, all I need is to know you have my back.”

“And I fucking do, you know I do.”

“You two lovebirds done? We’re fucking starving.” Coco interrupted their moment. Seeing their misty eyes, Coco cringed. “My bad, but I’m fucking hungry, Bish said we can’t eat till you two are inside.”

“Oh my god.” You playfully rolled your eyes.

You’re not sure how you landed this family, but you were definitely glad that they were here to stay.
