alright here we go: 4, 13, 16 (i may be baiting you slightly. or indulging depending how you take this), 30, 32 i love you very much xoxo bella
4. Link your three favorite fics right now.
you expect me to remember the titles of fics? (answering all the questions under a break bc I don’t know how to be concise)
not to be a copycat but daydream fic oh my god you know those songs that have such a specific and deliberate vibe that feel unbroachable because there’s no way to write something that fits it perfectly and it deserves nothing less than perfect? a daydream away is one of those songs and the tone of the song got stretched out to full story length like a warm quilt that just kept growing to the perfect size it’s so good
can I link a whole series? I think about sam’s bach au so much it lives in my head, I know so little about the actual bachelor universe but especially now that she’s kinda living her own fic it brings me so much joy and was also the first thing of sam’s I ever read I think, also it’s really funny how she accidentally wrote two jalexes without thinking about it
this fic that I never remember the name of but I think of as the dodie fic even tho peyton has written more than one fic with a dodie title, I read it before I knew peyton, back when they were one of bella’s anons, and I remember being so impressed and wondering why they didn’t want anyone to know who they were bc it was just so good and it’s so creative in the way it incorporates books into the story
13. Do you outline your fics? How much of a headache would someone get if they just looked at an outline of yours without reading the fic?
if they’re complete ideas that are longer than I think I can write in a day or two yes I will outline them, if they’re not complete ideas I’ll jot down a summary of the idea at the top of a doc and use it as a reference but those are usually not very helpful and rarely end up going anywhere. my current wip has a separate 8k outline doc that is pretty comprehensive, I think it would lead to a satisfying conclusion even without reading the story itself, tho the story is shaping up quite nicely I’m excited about it
16. Do you research for your fics? If so, how deep of a rabbit hole have you gone down by accident when researching?
I am interpreting this as bait thank you bella. is it still a rabbit hole if it’s productive and leads to plot breakthroughs? I currently have 3 tabs open on music, 2 on 90s tech, and 5 on lgbt movements/history :)) this wasn’t a result of a rabbit hole adventure but this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Patch_(bar) is one of the best fun facts I know that is slightly relevant to the research I’m doing
30. Post a snippet from your current WIP without context - no more than 300 words.
no context but I am so proud of these two paragraphs
In the distance, at the edge of the yard where the dying lawn gave way to the wooden fence, fireflies floated up and down against the darkness. It had taken one mistake as a kid for Alex to learn that jars of fireflies need holes in the lid to keep them alive. He and Jack had spent hours catching them on summer nights like this when they were younger. Whoever caught the most before Jack had to go home was the winner and got to decide whether they kept the bugs in their jars or released them. Funnily enough, Alex had always been the one to want to let them go back then. Jack would hold tight to his jar until Alex told him he had to follow the rules and then they’d let them go all at once, watching the light show as the fireflies thanked their lucky stars that Jack had lost. When Jack won, Alex would keep his jar on his bedside table, watching the lights flicker and dance until his eyes drifted shut.
Alex thought from that to once when he was even younger, before he moved to this neighborhood, his grandma had told him to stay very still with the lightning bugs because if one of them landed on you, it would give you good luck. Alex could never quite stay still enough, but the luck must have found him anyway.
32. Copy and paste your top three favorite lines/jokes/sentences you’ve ever written. What fics do they come from?
this is hard because some of my favorite things I’ve written are just quippy exchanges and it’s hard to copy and paste full conversations here. this one from my jalex/malum one, idk why I like it so much it just feels natural but then I love most of their back and forth in this, they’re so easy to write and so fun
“Ah, yes, us. The experts on how to date your friends.”
“That’s us.” Jack wraps his arms around Alex’s waist and looks up at him. “We should get business cards made.”
can I say the entirety of starlight fic? my favorite part of it is the structure more than any one line but this just feels so 🥺
What he really wants is to pull Alex to the upper deck with a couple glasses of champagne and face the cool air head-on, to say yes he’s tired of pretending but it has nothing to do with all those other people and more to do with how easy it was to fall into a lie in front of them, and one lie in particular.
what if I threw one of sam’s lines in here from all too well fic? no one would know except her 👀
Jack can’t remember what he was talking about but he remembers Alex kissing the back of his hand, remembers looking over at Alex for half a second too long and hitting the brake a little too hard so he didn’t drive straight through a red light, remembers his heart pounding from a mix of his own bad driving and Alex’s guilty smile, still holding Jack’s hand, tighter than ever.

Skyrim liveblog: befriending Mjoll and Inigo
Whoa, three words at once!
“You must own a horse” again!! Fine. You deserve to rest, I guess. Arvak is more practical, anyway. But he really needs a saddle. I guess I have to install another mod.
In the end, I have to use J'Zargo as a pack mule. I feel bad about it… Even though there’s nothing actually in that cart…
I have Follower Trap Safety installed but both Meeko and J'Zargo got shredded by the dwemer propeller and couldn’t get around it at all, had to teleport them to the next room with EFF. Stop offering me to go to Blackreach! I’m not morally prepared! I need to go to Riften to progress the main quest and pick up two followera!
Can’t recruit Mjoll for some reason. She starts to say her agreement line and it fizzles out. Had to force recruit it, smh. Must not forget to set her to essential!
God I hate the Ratway, made 3 circles before figuring out how to leave.
Uh, Inigo isn’t actually a prisoner, but trying to enter his cell is a crime? Not the best first impression. Ah okay I’m meant to loot the key. Strange that there’s no option to agree I’m the person from his memories. What is his armor type? Don’t see an option to ask.
Mjoll-Inigo-J'Zargo is a lovely combination for chattiness :)
Spell Research: Hey, analyzing items is nice, but after analyzing I should be redirected to “Disenchant?” instead of having to open inventory and find that item again
When I summoned Arvak, my followers didn’t call their own horses. What gives?
Had a great time chatting with Inigo in a tavern :D
Ugh, I don’t know which guy in Ivarstead to choose… I guess I’ll go with the current boyfriend to honor the girl’s wishes, even if he seems like a worse person. Nevermind, I’m weak and did what I always do: read everything on the wiki. The ex just never managed to express the feeling, and the current guy calls her “my pet”! Nnnope, stay with the nice fisherman.
Came across a really big Imperial vs Stormcloak skirmish, and was praying that their magic wouldn’t hit us and my followers wouldn’t insist on killing them, like they did half an hour ago to a group of some innocents…
I really don’t know how to repair my horse…
One evening I tell my followers to relax so that they don’t follow me into my tiny house, go inside, sleep until morning. Wake up to all of them tired of waiting and heading home. Reload, enable “Ignore wait timeout” – now only my dog leaves. What the hell…
Installed Be With Healer to make J'Zargo an illusionist, but it just crashes my game :(
Tried to analyze an item from Spell Research, screen went black and I was transported to a dungeon I just exited. Clicked disenchant, black screen again, I fall through the floor, when the process finishes I’m in the dungeon again.
Can’t believe I bought the “healing spells restore stamina” perk and then almost never used it. “Ah, but I don’t use power attacks”, say I, constantly having to stop after sprinting in heavy armor.
How come none of my followers can enter the Ironbind Barrow? Except for the pony, somehow. Decide to shoot at a draugr, for once, to get more loot for my fellow adventurers. Shot one of them *facepalm* Oh right, I have sun spells! Get a load of this guy! “Good thing you’re such a strong fighter, I wouldn’t be able to take that draugr warlord alone. Also I’m gonna kill you now, don’t bother fighting” ???? Oh, Become Ethereal! Nice.
Whoa, the shrine of Azura is on a peak next to me?! I didn’t realize I was so far northeast.
Aaand activating an ore vein glitches the hell out of me again :( And saving is disabled, so I can’t F5-F9. And the last save was a while ago… Screw this. It’s easier to load a previous save.
Holy shit, why isn’t Hunterborn showing how much time has passed? I accidentally spent the entire night butchering a sabre cat! And another whole day passes dealing with a couple of horkers. I’m gonna just set up camp here… And I’m like in a different region from my entire party, I wonder what they’re thinking. Another day passed, and my followers finally caught up! Except for Inigo. Where art thou, Inigo? Time to test out the whistle… Well, since I’m right next to Winterhold, let’s see the college I’m “leading”. I remind you, I was heading for the Sky Haven Temple…
It took me a while to find two chairs next to each other to chat with Inigo, but the story of his scars was more than worth it! Damn, it took him like five minutes to list all my achievements… :D
“Keep clear of the College, and keep yourself out of trouble” Says Mjoll to me, the arch-mage, sitting in my quarters.

Who is Riley Fox? Wiki, Biography, Age, Father, Family, Cause of Death, Investigation
Tumblr media
Riley Fox Wiki - Riley Fox Biography
Riley Fox of Wilmington, Illinois, was kidnapped from her home early in the morning on June 6, 2004, as her brother and father slept nearby. A search for the young girl began that day but it ended in heartbreak as her body was found, bound by duct tape, and drowned in a nearby creek. The little girl’s father, Kevin Fox, became the primary suspect in the murder investigation as authorities claimed that his behavior after his daughter’s death was suspicious. They questioned Fox, who denied being involved, and he agreed to take a polygraph test. Fox failed the polygraph, which led authorities to question him for several hours until he confessed to killing his daughter accidentally, court documents show. Immediately afterward, Fox recanted his confession and argued that authorities framed him for his daughter’s murder and coerced a false confession out of him, these documents reveal. The confession led to him getting charged with first-degree murder, a charge that could have led to the death penalty if found guilty.
Riley Fox Age
Riley Fox was 3 years old.
Kevin Fox Was Freed & Charge
After eight months in jail, the charges against Fox were dropped when tests of DNA found on Riley Fox’s body excluded Fox from the scene. In June 2005, the State’s Attorney who inherited the Fox murder case dropped all charges against Kevin Fox immediately after the DNA results were released, a press release stated. According to the release, the DNA had been collected from Riley Fox’s body right away but it wasn’t tested against Kevin Fox’s DNA prior to his murder charge. The State’s Attorney then requested the FBI’s assistance in investigating the case in 2008 and in 2009 they identified Scott Eby as a potential suspect. According to the press release, Eby consented to provide a DNA sample that was eventually matched to the DNA found on Riley Fox’s body, after which he wrote a lengthy confession admitting to the murder. Eby pleaded guilty in court about five months after he was charged with first-degree murder and predatory criminal sexual assault of a child in Riley Fox’s death. He confessed to the crime and said he’d been drinking and using drugs that night, which led him to break into the Fox home and molest the three-year-old girl, the Innocence Project reported. He said he then kidnapped the young girl and tied her up with duct tape, molesting her again, the organization wrote. Eby confessed that he panicked when he realized that Riley Fox had seen his face and that’s when he killed her in the creek. According to the Innocence Project, Kevin Fox testified in court after Eby pleaded guilty and told his daughter’s killer: “I would always wonder what you were doing with your freedom. If you were lying, watching TV or if you were picking your next victim. After today you will no longer be a part of my memories of my daughter.”
Kevin Fox Won a Civil Rights Lawsuit
Kevin Fox filed a civil lawsuit against Will County arguing that he was framed for the rape and murder of his daughter and that he was wrongfully imprisoned and maliciously prosecuted. A federal jury agreed with Fox in 2007 and the family was awarded $12.2 million, the Chicago Tribune reported. According to the outlet, in 2010, the case made its way to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, which upheld the verdict but reduced the amount owed to the Foxes to $8 million. The court said authorities lacked probable cause in their arrest of Fox and had gathered “exceedingly weak evidence,” according to the outlet. The family’s attorney Kathleen Zellner said, “We thought it was a stunning rebuke of the defendant’s entire case. I don’t think we could have got a better result.”
Riley Fox Cause of Death
On June 6, 2004, the lives of the Fox family changed forever. That weekend, Melissa, then 25, and a group of friends participated in the AVON Walk for Breast Cancer in Chicago, where she stayed for two nights -- the longest she’d ever been away from her children. Kevin stayed home with the kids. Melissa adored Riley and cherished her time with her little girl.“She had this perfect black hair and perfect little round face and blue eyes,” Melissa said. “She was funny. She was silly. Just, so talkative, and she was friendly to everybody she met. She was just a sweetheart. Riley was a lot like Melissa,” Jillian Garrelts, Melissa’s friend, said. “She was a spunky, sassy little girl. She ... could be a little princess... But ... she was a daddy’s girl, kind of a little tomboy loved to fish … and wasn't afraid to get dirty.” While his wife was in Chicago, Kevin, then 27, and the kids spent Saturday afternoon making posters in anticipation of celebrating Melissa’s walk at the finish line, where they planned to meet her the next morning. But early Sunday morning, Tyler woke up Kevin to tell him that Riley was missing. Not thinking it was a true emergency, Kevin looked through the house and backyard. Then, after about 30 to 40 minutes, Kevin called the non-emergency number for police. He reported finding his front door open and Riley’s yellow blanket still on the couch, where she had been sleeping. Meanwhile, in Chicago, Melissa and her friends were nearing the end of their walk when she called her husband to check in. “He sounded so startled. I knew immediately something was wrong,” Melissa said. “He just said, ‘Riley's gone,’ and I immediately hit the ground and the phone fell out of my hand.” The women rushed back to Wilmington, where word of Riley’s disappearance had spread quickly throughout the small town of 5,000. They arrived to see the community mobilized, with dozens of volunteers searching for Riley in ditches, woods and the town’s forest preserves. “It was something out of a movie… feel like the entire town was out looking for her,” Colleen Hansen, Melissa’s friend, said. “Every area of the town was being canvassed in some fashion. For hours after Melissa had arrived, the town continued to search high and low for Riley. Then at one point, Melissa said a police officer placed her and Kevin in separate police cars. “I didn't understand what was going on. When we got to the police station, they just started asking questions and I was like, ‘Is someone going to tell me what's going on?’” she said. The couple was unaware that two volunteers had found Riley facedown, wearing only a shirt, in a creek. She had duct tape across her mouth and what investigators believed to be duct tape residue on her wrists. Autopsy reports later determined that she had been se**xually assaulted and drowned. “It was just crushing,” Melissa said. “I couldn’t even stand. I couldn’t even think. I couldn’t even imagine what life would be like without her. From that moment forward, Melissa said she never stepped foot in the house where Riley had disappeared from again.
Investigation Report
Nearly 6,000 people attended Riley’s funeral a few days after she’d been found. The attendees wore pink, Riley’s favorite color, and buttons with her picture on it while Martina McBride’s “She’s a Butterfly” played through the speakers. Riley was buried in the white flower girl dress she had worn to her uncle’s wedding just two weeks before her murder and new flip-flops that she’d wanted. Melissa later learned Will County Sheriff’s Office detectives were also in attendance, videotaping Kevin. “Within an hour of the funeral ending, came to my house,” Hansen said. “They asked if there was any reason that I would believe Kevin to be capable of doing something like this. … Before the question even came out of their mouth, my answer was, ‘No.’" Desperate to find out what happened to her daughter, Melissa said she reached out to the detectives every day and that they assured her they were investigating the case thoroughly. Then, nearly three weeks after Riley’s murder, the detectives asked to speak to her brother, 6-year-old Tyler. Melissa and Kevin agreed. For over an hour, a forensic interviewer questioned Tyler about Riley’s disappearance. On a videotaped recording, Tyler was seen crouching into his chair, covering his face, and crying while the interviewer questioned him. He told the interviewer 168 times that his father had nothing to do with the disappearance of his little sister, according to Fox’s attorney Kathleen Zellner. When Melissa was able to view the recording at a later date, she was distraught. She said she allowed her son to be questioned because she trusted the detectives. “It was really sad to watch,” Melissa said. “Our family had been through so much. I had just lost a child and then to see the way that they decided to treat the one I still had was really terrible.” FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK Read the full article
